Trump Keeps Obama’s International LGBT Envoy Randy Berry – Promoting Homosexuality and Gender Confusion Abroad

Third major pro-homosexual action by Trump

President Trump is keeping in place a special international LGBT “envoy” established by Obama who is charged with promoting the acceptance of homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism abroad in the name of U.S. foreign policy.

The reinstatement of Randy Berry as Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTI Persons is another defeat for pro-family advocates who were counting on Trump to remove homosexual activists from the foreign affairs bureaucracy.

Berry is a career foreign service officer who speaks Spanish and Arabic. He was given the “LGBT Envoy” position of  in 2015, to the applause of LGBT activists. Berry is also a homosexual and “gay” activist himself dedicated to seeing other nations adopt an immoral, modern Western legal system that grants “rights,” including marriage, based homosexuality and gender deviance.

Strike Three

This is Strike Three for Trump in terms of major pro-homosexual actions after his election:

  1. He said in an interview as President-elect that SCOTUS’ homosexual “marriage” ruling, Obergefell, is “settled” law (it’s not, any more than Roe v. Wade is, or the pro-sodomy-law Bowers v. Hardwick decision was);
  2. He reinstated Obama’s 2014 pro-LGBT executive order for federal contractors, which forces homosexualism on private businesses and ministries; and
  3. He now continues Obama’s pro-LGBTQ foreign policy promoting unnatural behaviors and sexual sin as “human rights.”

On the plus side, Trump has discontinued Obama’s policy of pushing transgender bathroom and locker room “rights” in public schools (allowing gender-confused boys in girls’ private spaces). And he nominated a conservative judge, Neil Gorsuch, to the U.S. Supreme Court, although we have no idea how Gorsuch would rule on LGBTQ issues, assuming he gets in.

I see Trump’s reinstatement of Randy Berry as a very bad sign, for these reasons:

  1. This should have been a no-brainer for an incoming Republican. If Trump cannot bring himself to dispense with this high-profile symbol of (neo-imperialist) U.S. Government “gay/trans” activism abroad, how much more of Obama’s radical LGBTQ policies and personnel will he likely keep?
  2. This signals that Trump interprets his “pro-LGBTQ” role as pledged in the campaign as actually pushing a decadent conception of perversion-based “rights” on foreign nations, as well as in the United States. In other words, when he said he was pro-LGBTQ, it was not in some ambiguous or general sense like protecting LGBT people from terrorism.
  3. We assume Trump’s Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, supports this. Pro-family activists were wary of Tillerson because he acquiesced to homosexuals in the Boy Scouts while serving with that organization,

Remember: you can fight human rights abuses against anyone, including GLBT-identified people, without becoming the champion of “rights” based on sexual immorality and gender deviance.

The following is excerpted from a report in the D.C. homosexual newspaper Washington Blade:

The Trump administration will allow the position of special U.S. envoy to promote LGBT and intersex rights abroad to remain in place at the State Department.

A State Department spokesperson told Foreign Policy on Monday that Randy Berry is continuing “in his role under the current administration.” A State Department spokesperson reiterated this statement to the Washington Blade.

“Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Randy Berry, a career Foreign Service officer, continues in his role under the current administration,” the spokesperson told the Blade.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry in 2015 announced the creation of the position within the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor.

Berry has traveled to Jamaica, Honduras, Botswana and more than 40 other countries. His bio on the State Department’s website currently identifies him as “deputy assistant secretary and special envoy for the human rights of LGBTI persons.”

Monday’s statement comes against the backdrop of concerns over whether President Trump would eliminate the special LGBT envoy position. Advocates have also urged the new administration to continue U.S. efforts to promote LGBT and intersex issues around the world that the Obama administration began.  [story continues at the Washington Blade]
