Here is an appearance from last Summer of my friend Randy Thomasson of SaveCalifornia.com, on Sacramento’s Fox-40′s live morning show (July 18, 2011). Randy has become a fervent advocate of parents pulling their children out of the public schools, especially in the wake of passage a SB 48, a California bill that mandates the teaching of homosexual, bisexual and transgender historical figures (read: pro-”gay”-activist history) in K-12 schools. The law went into effect January 1, 2012. Note Randy’s allusion to the law’s prohibition on negative information about homosexuality, which refers to the portion of the law that amends the Cal. Education Code as follows:

51501. The state board and any governing board shall not adopt any textbooks or other instructional materials for use in the public schools that contain any matter reflecting adversely upon persons on the basis of race or ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, or because of a characteristic listed in Section 220.

For more on the other “sexual indoctrination” bills pending in the California legislature, go HERE.

It was pre-taped and aired January 29, 2011. AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera describes Glenn as one of the most effective, strategic and principled pro-family leaders in the United States (which probably explains why he is despised and routinely smeared by the pro-homosexuality Left and pro-”gay” Republicans). Part of the conversation revolves around whether “conservatism” can abide the promotion of homosexuality through Republican-oriented groups such as GOProud — which has been accepted as a sponsor at the upcoming CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in D.C. Glenn says the truly conservative portions of GOProud’s stated agenda (e.g., support for gun rights) are “window dressing’ for their real goal of “advancing the homosexual agenda.” He also discusses the recent lame-duck congressional repeal of the ban on homosexuals in the military – noting that our Armed Forces are “being used as a tool of social experimentation.” Glenn said pro-family advocates need to deal with the reality that politicians “understand two things”: punishment and rewards.

AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera commends Klingenschmitt for his yeoman’s work in mobilizing tens of thousands of Americans to fight the Democrat-led, lame-duck congressional effort to repeal the ban on homosexuals in the military. Chaps discusses God’s view of homosexuality as sin, and says his biggest disappointment among Senate Republicans who joined the Democrats in ending the homosexual ban was Mark Kirk — the new Illinois Senator who quickly alienated conservatives in his own state by voting for the repeal. Part Two of this interview will air in January.

Contact: Peter LaBarbera: 630-717-7631; americansfortruth@gmail.com

Sen. Joe Lieberman's phoney piety is exposed by his emergence as a leading crusader in Congress for the homosexual agenda.

CHICAGO – As most Americans shop and begin making preparations for Christmas or their religious holiday, the U.S. Senate, led by Majority Leader Harry Reid (D) and Sen. Joseph Lieberman (independent), is busy securing a vote to effectively homosexualize our Armed Forces. [Call your Senators at 202-224-3121 to oppose the repeal of the law banning open homosexuality in the military (commonly called “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”).]

Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, which opposes the “gay” activist agenda, said today’s vote, potentially clearing the way for repealing the military ban, is the most important homosexuality-related congressional vote ever held: “If the lame-duck Congress succeeds in ‘gaying down’ our military this weekend, it will take a disastrous leap toward “mainstreaming” deviant, sinful homosexual conduct – not just in the military but in larger society — thus further propelling America’s moral downward spiral.

“This is a needless injection of sexual politics into our Armed Forces,” LaBarbera said, noting that the President’s own DoD report on implementing the Repeal reveals:

23.7 percent of surveyed Service members (38.1 percent of Marines) said repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” would cause them to “leave [the military] sooner than I planned” or “think about leaving sooner than I had planned”;

44.3 percent of combat veterans (59.4 percent of Marines) said that having an open homosexual in their immediate unit in the field or at sea would “Negatively” or “Very Negatively” affect their “unit’s effectiveness at completing its mission”;

Calling the Repeal a “civil rights measure,” Lieberman said, “The days should be over when we let civil rights measures be filibustered so they can’t be adopted.’’

LaBarbera observed:

Shame on Joe Lieberman – who professes to adhere to ancient Jewish moral law – for confusing the noble civil rights cause with an agenda that seeks to normalize destructive homosexual behavior. Lieberman is wrong: homosexuality is not the basis for “civil rights,” which In the past has been based on unchangeable skin color – not sexual misconduct that can be resisted or changed (as evidenced by thousands of former homosexuals who now live happy lives in accordance with God’s will);

Americans are tired of religious phoneys like Lieberman – politicians who use their religion as a PR prop while actively undermining its moral dictates. Claiming to be an “observant” Jew, Lieberman wears his religion on his sleeve (perhaps he will walk, not drive, on the Jewish Sabbath Day today to cast his pro-homosexuality vote!). Stealing the moral authority of “civil rights” is the only way Lieberman can rationalize his role as a crusader for the ‘Gay’ Lobby on Capitol Hill — when His religion, a form of Orthodox Judaism, condemns homosexual acts as an “abomination”;

There are no “ex-Blacks”; there are many ex-“gays.” This helps explain the difference between President Truman’s noble reform to racially integrate African Americans into the military – and President Obama’s misguided push for open homosexuals in the military, which is really about pandering to his liberal, pro-“gay” political base.

Said Brian Camenker, founder of the pro-family group Mass Resistance, who attends an Orthodox synagogue in the Boston area:

“Sen. Joseph Lieberman, who has the incredible chutzpah to call himself an Orthodox Jew, will desecrate the holy Sabbath to go to work – the U.S. Senate – and vote to force the integration of homosexuality into the U.S. military. He is a shameful disgrace and an embarrassment to Orthodox Jews everywhere.”

According to a Support Plan for implementing President Obama's plan to allow open homosexuals to serve in the military, a couple of male Marines in civilian clothes could kiss and display homo-erotic affection at the local mall without any repercussions. "Standards of conduct regarding public displays of affection (PDA) are orientation-neutral," according to the report (p. 82). What about on base? Obama's radical Repeal plan would degrade the moral authority of our Armed Forces and turn the Pentagon into the biggest bureaucracy working to mainstream homosexuality (sin) that the world has ever seen.

The U.S. Senate is hours, or perhaps a day, away from what I believe is the most important congressional vote on homosexuality ever taken in the USA: a bill that would Repeal the existing ban on open homosexuality in the military [Call your Senators: 202-224-3121]. If we lose and the Repeal goes forward, it will usher in a sea-change of pro-homosexual political correctness — not just on our Armed Forces, but on the rest of society, as a Brave, New, ‘Gay’-affirming Military will be held up as the new “civil rights” paradigm for the rest of America (God help us). The Homosexual Lobby knows what is at stake, which is why they have been pounding Capitol Hill for weeks on the Repeal. Unfortunately, not enough conservatives and people of faith understand the critical importance of this vote.

A handful of Republicans such as Sen. Scott Brown (who has flip-flopped on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” ), Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and the two Maine Senators (Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins) may join with the Democrats in supporting the fast-track legislation passed by the House Wednesday (see vote Roll Call HERE). Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid needs 60 votes to homosexualize the Armed Forces.

As sure as New Years Day follows Christmas, the Homosexual Lobby would seize upon this (giant) opening and push for more and more pro-homosexuality policy changes in the military — including same-sex partner benefits, “married” housing for homosexual Service members, sweeping pro-gay “diversity” propaganda for our troops, etc. What a Christmas “gift” for our military men and women! (More like a huge, rainbow-striped lump of coal.) Please pray and do all you can to oppose this radical legislation! — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

Action Steps:

1) Call your Senators using the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 (www.senate.gov) and urge your U.S. Senators to vote against the Repeal of the military’s “gay” ban — and demand that a full and fair debate be held on this radical legistlation that would turn the Pentagon into the world’s largest de facto pro-”gay” advocacy agency. Here are some key Senators to call in this bill; use the Capitol Switchboard (202-114-3121; 202-225-3121) or even better: go to www.senate.gov for their contact info and call their local office numbers:

_______________________________________

Background — Working Group Report makes case for NOT repealing the “gay” ban:

I finally read most of the Obama-/Def. Sec. Gates-commissioned Working Group DoD report on the DADT Repeal and – although biased and carefully written and “spun” to camouflage some of the extreme results of allowing open homosexuals in the military, it STILL contains plenty of information showing how damaging the Repeal would be to our military. Here are some findings of and problems with the DoD report:

23.7 % of surveyed Service members (38.1 % of Marines) said repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” would cause them to “leave [the military] sooner than I planned” or “think about leaving sooner than I had planned”;

44.3% of combat veterans (59.4% of Marines) said that having an open homosexual in their immediate unit in a field environment or out at sea would “Negatively” or “Very Negatively” affect their “unit’s effectiveness at completing its mission”; other survey data shows significant opposition within the ranks to the idea of homosexuals serving openly;

A major flaw of the Working Group report is the analogy it draws between Service members currently serving with men and women they know or suspect to be homosexuals (under DADT) — with being able to serve alongside “gays and lesbians” under a new regime in which homosexuality is out of the closet. Obviously, in the current situation, homosexual Service members are forced to be discrete. A new military culture tolerant of ”open and proud” homosexuality – including pro-homosexual “diversity” teachings, etc. — is simply not analogous to “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”;

The report punts on the question of military benefits for same-sex couples, but recognizes that this will be a future issue — and even notes that one of the big problems it will cause is that unmarried heterosexual soldiers will be upset if coupled “gay” soldiers get partner benefits while they are not allowed to get benefits for their hetero boyfriend or girlfriend. Thus, repealing the ban jars open a Pandora’s Box: surely gay activists will DEMAND partner benefits — using lawsuits if necessary — in the name of respect, equality, and “fairness”;

The report discusses respecting Service members’ “dignity” but rules out separate shower facilities and barracks for homosexuals – saying that doing so would “stigmatize gay and lesbian Service members in a manner reminiscent of ‘separate but equal’ for blacks prior to the 1960s” (p. 12). In other words, the Armed Forces is more concerned about offending ’gay and lesbian” members’ sensitivities than defending the privacy rights and dignity of normal, hetero Service men and women;

The above shows that in the name of paving the way for homosexuals’ alleged “civil rights,” the DoD is willing to abridge the civil rights of the normal majority of Service Members;

The above is also just one example of the DoD’s unfortunate penchant for linking the laudable and noble civil rights achievement of racially integrating black soldiers into the Armed Forces with the crusade to allow open homosexuals — with their attendant sexual desires and behavior — into the military. Racism is bigotry, and wrong. Moral opposition to homosexuality (widely and historically regarded as sinful) — and common-sense privacy concerns based on the self-described sexual desires of homosexual men and lesbians – are natural and acceptable. Applying the DoD report’s logic, men should be able to shower with women as long as they recognize that they cannot ogle them or make sexual advances on them in the shower (see p. 13: “to fit in, co-exist, and conform to social norms, gay men have learned to avoid making heterosexuals feel uncomfortable or threatened in these situations”);

The Working Group report admits that factoring in the sentiments it received in its review process — through large “informational exchange forums” held on bases, smaller focus groups, online confidential communications, etc. — “our sense is that the majority of views expressed were against the repeal of the current policy” (p. 49). Perhaps this helps explain why President Obama and Defense Sec. Gates did not task the Working Group with studying whether the troops wanted this pro-homosexual change, but rather how a Repeal would be implemented;

There are some excellent comments from Service members opposing Repeal in the DoD report, including this by a woman: “I do not have to shower or sleep with men so I do not want to shower or sleep in the same room as a woman who is homosexual. I would feel uncomfortable” changing and sleeping as I would if it wa a man in the room. i should not have to accept this.” (p. 50);

On DADT: “You don’t ask and you don’t tell, you come to work and do your job. It is not broke so don’t fix it.” (p. 52);

On using the military to promote immorality: “People view the military as the last bastion of morals and what is good. If we break that down here, what does it boil down to? What’s left?” (p. 55)

In defending the right of religious and moral-minded Service members (and chaplains) to voice their opposition to homosexuality, the DoD report authors seem oblivious to the escalating legal and cultural conflict in the civilian world between homosexual activists’ demanding same-sex “rights” – and the freedom of Christians and other moral critics to live out their opposition to that behavior. Surely this “values contest” will be transferred to the a post-Repeal military — as many homosexual activists will put their “right” to be accepted above the freedom of Service members to disagree with homosexuality. The report offers no coherent plan for how it will manage and balance that inherent conflict — and how it will avoid trampling over the rights of moral-minded Service-members in its zeal to enforce homosexual tolerance through (presumably mandatory) post-Repeal education and training programs.

Folks, so much for this Tea Party-backed Republican and the comeback of political integrity. By reneging on his promise to support DADT (and abandoning conservatism on other issues), Scott Brown shows that he is just like so many other politicians: using the conservatives and religious voters to get elected — then pursuing the agenda of powerful, liberal special interest groups. The GOP is doomed as a major party if it follows the RINO (Republicans In Name Only) lead by caving on social issues — although this is also a military/security matter. That’s because America already has a party devoted to Abortion-on-Demand and Homosexuality – the Democrats.

And here’s a memo to Tea Partiers: state promotion of aberrant sexual lifestyles IS a Tea Party issue — which you will learn (the hard way) if the Big Government Gay agenda succeeds and the Pentagon is turned overnight into the world’s biggest pro-homosexual advocacy organization. Certainly our Founding Fathers led by Gen. George Washington would have been aghast at the idea of “forcing integration of homosexuality into the United States military,” as my good friend Brian Camenker of Mass Resistance aptly puts it below.

House Repeal Roll Call: To view the House Roll Call on Wednesday’s vote to overturn the military’s ban on open homosexuality, in which 15 Republcans and 15 Democrats voted out of step with their Party, go HERE. Camenker is correct: people from all over America should call Brown because he received nationwide support as a candidate. But more importantly, everyone who cares about the military needs to call their two U.S. Senators NOW (202-224-3121), as an expedited Repeal vote in the Senate is imminent. – Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

Scott Brown announces full support for repeal of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”

Abandons conservative base

POSTED: Dec 12, 2010, republished from Mass Resistance website

US Senator Scott Brown has announced on Friday, Dec. 3 that he now supports the repeal of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” – effectively forcing the integration of homosexuality into the United States military.

In a sleazy, dishonest lame-duck move, the Democrats in Congress are desperately trying to repeal the law in the waning days before the new Republican-laden Congress takes over on Jan. 1. A considerable number of left-wing pro-homosexual Democrats were defeated in the Nov. 2 elections, and Brown (and the others) know that the repeal has virtually no chance once the newly elected members of Congress get in.

The bill has already passed the House and is in the Senate. Although Brown has voted to delay the bill slightly, that is only for strategic purposes. He has said he will support the bill as soon as certain “horse-trading” takes place. A final vote could come any day.

“]
Happier times. Scott Brown (center) is mobbed by supporters in Littleton the day before the election last January. How many of these people would still show up? [MassResistance photo.

During his campaign for US Senate, Brown had portrayed himself as a supporter of the current policy. In the Massachusetts Family Institute (MFI) voter guide Brown was listed as being “opposed” to the repeal.

Much more than just “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”
The term “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” merely refers to an executive order by President Bill Clinton to circumvent the actual US law passed by Congress in 1993 which completely bans homosexuals from the military.

The 1993 law they are attempting to repeal (USC Section 654, Title 10) states:

“The presence in the armed forces of persons who demonstrate a propensity or intent to engage in homosexual acts would create an unacceptable risk to the high standards of morale, good order and discipline, and unit cohesion that are the essence of military capability.”

Furthermore, this repeal is part of a larger Defense Appropriations Bill. That bill also includes language to allow taxpayer funded abortions in US military bases around the world. [Editor's Note: the Repeal bill to allow open homosexuality in the military is now a stand-alone bill.]

Thus Brown, who campaigned on being the “41st vote” against the Obama agenda, could end up being a deciding vote to pass this key Obama promise to the homosexual movement. (And the abortion movement.)

Earlier this year Brown abandoned the Republicans and was the deciding vote on Obama’s massive financial reform bill. (Currently, Brown has voiced support for the Obama administration’s invasive and unnecessary TSA airport nude scans and pat-downs which angers many conservatives.)

Conservative base stunned

Nevertheless, Brown’s decision on “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” (DADT), which he publicly announced last Friday, has stunned and angered his conservative base in Massachusetts. Pro-family and pro-life activists feel particularly betrayed. Back in 2004, it was pro-family and pro-life activists who converged from around the state and worked around the clock to help then-state rep Brown win the grueling special March 2 state senate election against Angus McQuilken by 51%-47%. And it was pro-family and pro-life activists who supported Brown early on in his US Senate race early on when he was 25 points behind Martha Coakley and nobody else would take him seriously. But those days are long gone.

Mass Resistance’s conversation with Brown’s Washington, DC office

On Wednesday afternoon Brian Camenker of MassResistance spoke at length with Brandon Acheson, a staffer in Brown’s Washington, DC office who has been explaining Brown’s position on this issue to constituents since the announcement. It was very disappointing, to say the least. It appears that Brown has become just another disingenuous, disconnected Washington politician.

Here’s some of what Brandon told us:

Brown’s statement in the MFI voter guide. Brandon indicated he didn’t know who MFI was and that Brown never authorized any statement about his position — that it must have been a miscommunication. “Sen. Brown never made a firm commitment that he would vote against it,” Brandon told us. However, MFI’s president, Kris Mineau, told that Boston Herald, “When Sen. Brown ran for election, he said he would support the current policy of ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’” In fact, MFI worked closely with Brown and hosted several events for him in this campaign. They even hold a birthday party for him each year (even though he’s pro-choice). Interestingly, in that same article the Herald also reported that: “Brown’s spokeswoman, Gail Gitcho, said Brown changed his tune after President Obama ordered the Pentagon to review the policy. At that point, Brown said he would keep an open mind to its finding, which came out this week.”

Sleazy lame-duck session. We asked Brandon why Brown doesn’t support waiting a few weeks and letting the newly elected Congress decide this — that using a lame-duck session was offensive to people. He avoided answering the question directly, but indicated that Brown had no problem with a lame-duck session passing controversial bills. But he’s insisting that two things get passed first: (1) full extension of the Bush-era tax cuts, and (2) a bill to continue funding the federal budget. Both of those appear to be in the works as part of the horse-trading going on to get this bill passed.

Repealing the current law makes bold statement. Repealing the current law (see text above) makes the statement that homosexuality is compatible with US military service. Does Brown agree with that? Brandon wouldn’t answer that. Instead, he said that Brown has been in the military for 31 years and is comfortable with his position. (Would he be comfortable showering next to someone sizing him up? Well, we didn’t ask that.)

41st vote against Obama agenda? We reminded him that Brown ran as “number 41″ and his base back home read that as their protection against the Obama agenda being pushed on them. But now Brown seems to be doing just the opposite. Brandon wouldn’t comment on that, either. He seemed to indicate that Brown was not concerned about opposition from conservatives back home, or the concept that they were his “base” of support.
Needless to say, the entire conversation was depressing and angering.

What should YOU do right now?
Call now — Sen. Brown needs to hear from you loud and clear.

Every politician needs to hear from the people, especially his base. He’s certainly been hearing from the homosexual lobby (see below). He REALLY needs to hear from you.

Call Brown’s Washington DC office at 202-224-4543. (It’s more effective than calling his Boston office, which told us they are not knowledgeable on this issue — although they do register the number of calls they get.)

EVERYONE across the country should do this, since Sen. Brown got support (including millions of dollars in small donations) from across the country. Tell them that if Brown supports the repeal of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” you will actively campaign against him in 2012 (or whatever else you think is appropriate).

It only takes five minutes, but it’s worth it.

Leave a message if you have to. In this short time frame it’s the only thing that will get his attention. (And you can bet that the homosexual lobby is doing the same thing — see our report HERE!)

Watch here the video of Sgt. Fleming calls the current “gays in the military” push one of “these little political agendas that have nothing to do with this war that we’re fighting.” For his comments on how lifting the homosexuality ban will breed mistrust, go to about the 3:00 mark. FRC is to be commended for the great work it is doing to stop the Obama agenda of homosexualizing the U.S. Military during wartime.

“We are gratified that enough Senators acted to prevent a lame-duck vote to effectively homosexualize the American military — a Democratic-led effort that is all about Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), President Obama and the Democrats pandering to their ‘gay’ activist base and NOT keeping our military strong, nor defending the best interests of our fighting men and women. We applaud Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin (WV) for having the courage to listen to his West Virginia constituents — rather than kowtow to the morally-compromised Democrat Party leadership — in voting with the Republicans to block consideration of their bid to repeal the Armed Force’s common-sense homosexuality ban.

“The anti-Christian Human Rights Campaign, a homosexual lobby group, is now pushing for a separate, stand-alone Repeal bill in its desperate bid to homosexualize the U.S. military in this lame-duck session, before a more conservative Congress arrives in January. HRC in its elitism and arrogance shows its contempt for America’s voters, who rejected Obama’s radical legislative agenda. AFTAH will continue to educate citizens on this radical Repeal effort, which would turn the Pentagon into the world’s largest pro-”gay” advocacy organization. We are asking citizens to contact their Senators and urge them to oppose any attempt to overturn the military’s homosexuality ban.

“Americans For Truth commends the Center for Military Readiness, Family Research Council, Chaps Klingenschmitt, and all the pro-family groups that contributed to this legislative victory — even though they lacked significant help from some ‘big names’ in the conservative movement and conservative media. We must remain vigilant — because if Obama and Sen. Reid succeed in repealing the homosexuality ban, it will devastate our military, lead to an exodus of Christian- and tradition-minded servicemembers from the military, and serve as a catalyst for America’s continued moral decline.

‘Gay rights’ and religious freedom (defense of Judeo-Christian morality) cannot co-exist — as the persecution of Christians who oppose homosexuality in America and the world over clearly demonstrates — so we can only deduce that they will not be able to co-exist in a ‘homosexualized’ military. The military would bring in scores of pro-homosexual activists to effectively ‘re-educate’ the troops in pro-gay ‘tolerance and diversity’ — the very same LGBT activists that regularly demonstrate their anti-religious bigotry and animus by falsely equating the defense of biblical sexual morality with ‘hate’ and ‘homophobia.’ The introduction of pro-’gay’ propaganda into the military would undermine morale and cohesion in the Armed Forces.

“Obama and Defense Secretary Robert Gates have acted imperiously, as if the Repeal were inevitable. It is not. Commander-in-Chief Obama didn’t even have the decency and integrity to ask servicemembers IF the homosexuality-ban should be lifted — instead directing military leaders to design a plan for HOW the Repeal could be carried out. Why is it that our servicemembers are expected to die for their country – but not extended the courtesy of being asked their views on whether this critically important policy shift should go forward in a time of war?”

Senate Will Not be Misled or Rushed Into Hasty Repeal

The following is excerpted from a Dec. 1 news release by the Center for Military Readiness:

Following release of the Pentagon’s Comprehensive Review Working Group (CRWG) report on the issue of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders in the military, Elaine Donnelly, President of the Center for Military Readiness, issued the following statement:

“At a time of growing uncertainty and concern about America’s national security, it is unsettling to see Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen devoting so many hours this week to well-orchestrated but superficial media events designed to deliver on President Obama’s political campaign promises to the LGBT Left. Yesterday’s briefings were quite a show and they gave it their best shot. The grim faces of Mullen and Gates, however, betrayed an inconvenient truth: The CRWG Report does not mention a single beneficial result of repealing the 1993 law, which would strengthen recruiting, retention, and readiness in the All-Volunteer Force.

“Instead, Secretary Gates and Adm. Mullen let down the troops by demanding involuntary acceptance of unnecessary burdens that disregard the normal human desire for privacy and modesty in sexual matters. Elevating unrealistic theories over practical experience, yesterday’s presenters tried but failed to divert attention from information buried in the report. Page 74, for example, reports that ‘Nearly 60% of respondents in the Marine Corps and in Army combat arms said they believed there would be a negative impact on their unit’s effectiveness in this context; among Marine combat arms the number was 67%.’

“Neither official showed any concern about the thousands of experienced troops, starting with but not limited to the chaplains, who would be subject to career-ending “Zero Tolerance” penalties if they do not support mandatory LGBT Law and corollary policies in our military.

“Recommendations for LGBT training curricula and living conditions that elevate the risk of sexual misconduct, both voluntary and involuntary, betray skewed priorities reflecting the president’s political promises. Denials of these risks were no more convincing than endorsements of body armor with a risk of failure estimated to be “only” 10%.

“Living conditions offering little or no privacy are difficult, and combat missions are hazardous enough. Why are these officials pushing for radical, unneeded social changes that would make
military life more difficult and ultimately more dangerous in the All-Volunteer Force—the only military we have?

“Secretary Gates cannot have it both ways—claiming that the “Comprehensive Review Working Group” survey was not intended to be a ‘referendum’ of the troops, while
simultaneously allowing media reports to claim that it was. The truth is that military personnel and families who support the current law were not given an equal opportunity to have their views respected and reported. None of the CRWG survey instruments include the basic question of interest to Senator McCain and most members of Congress: Should the 1993 law be retained or repealed? It was not enough to ask the troops to suggest remedies for irresolvable problems that could be avoided by simply retaining the 1993 law.”

Donnelly continued, “Secretary Gates’ claim that congressional action is needed to head off precipitous court orders does not qualify as a positive argument—in fact, those comments suggest that DoD General Counsel and CRWG Co-Chair Jeh Johnson forgot to tell his boss about a problem that other legal experts recognize. The rogue ruling of San Diego U.S. District Judge
Virginia Phillips’ in the Log Cabin Republican case challenging the constitutionality of the current law, Section 654, Title 10, U.S.C., is being appealed and likely will be overturned by the
Supreme Court if not by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

“The Phillips ruling purported to seize policy-making power over the military despite many precedents confirming “deference” to Congress under Article 1, Section 8, of the U.S. Constitution. If Congress rushes to repeal the law, all appeals will be dropped, leaving the outlandish ruling of San Diego District Judge Virginia Phillips to stand as precedent within the Ninth Circuit.

“If this happens, future plaintiffs will seek similar court rulings striking down any military law or policy they don’t like. If Secretary Gates does not want west-coast federal judges making policy for the armed forces, he should stop encouraging Congress to repeal the law in the lame-duck session.

“Furthermore, Secretary Gates should not complain about several days of unnecessary turmoil that occurred when the Defense Department imposed on- and off-again changes in eligibility
regulations. Both Gates and DoD General Counsel Jeh Johnson were themselves responsible for causing unnecessary confusion when they rushed to bow to Judge Phillips’ worldwide injunction halting enforcement of the law.

“The U.S. Senate and the Congress as a whole will not be fooled by showmanship reflecting the Hollywood background of Adm. Mullen. The American people will demand that they take this issue seriously, and the troops deserve no less.” [continued HERE at CMR website]

As the leading proponent of maintaining the military’s common-sense ban on homosexuality, Donnelly more than any other American has fought debilitating “politically correct” agendas in the Armed Forces. In this discussion, she covers:

the unforeseen harm to good order and discipline that would result from allowing open homosexuals in the military;

how the Pentagon working group report on the repeal of the “gay” ban is a thinly-veiled tool to advance President Obama’s radical plan to homosexualize the miltary;

how the Obama administration led by Defense Sec. Robert Gates has politicized the investigations of homosexual soldiers violating the existing homosexual ban — effectively neutralizing the law;

why “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” is NOT the law of the land;

how pro-homosexual diversity sessions and policies would be foisted on the conservative military culture to enforce “sexual orientation nondiscrimination”;

the radical effect on military housing policy resulting from repealing the “gay” ban;

how religious serviemembers and chaplains who oppose homosexuality as a matter of faith and conscience could be targeted for disciplinary action in a homosexuality-affirming military — especially if their opposition were to become public;

the implications of a “zero tolerance” policy for soldiers expressing opposition to homosexuals in the military;

what the surveys actually show regarding military and public attitudes toward the military’s homosexuality ban.

Barney Frank

Here is a story about America’s most famous homosexual politician, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA). Note the good news about the new Congress, but also the new strategy that Sen. Harry Reid and the Democrats are planning to use to attempt to repeal the ban on homosexuality in the military (during the lame-duck session). Excerpted from the homosexual newspaper Washington Blade (the full interview is on the website):

Frank: ‘Zero chance’ for LGBT bills next year

Lou Chibbaro Jr., Washington Blade, Nov 08, 2010

Gay U.S. Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who won re-election last week in one of his toughest challenges, said LGBT legislation would have no chance of passing in Congress under the Republican-controlled House next year.

In an interview Tuesday with the Washington Blade, Frank also said he was confident that the Senate, of which Democrats retained control, would join President Obama in blocking any anti-gay bills that conservative Republicans might introduce over the next two years.

“Next year there’s no chance of anything happening,” he said of pro-LGBT legislation. “There’s zero chance.”

He added, “It will be a status quo. They don’t have the votes to hurt us but we don’t have the votes to advance anything in the cause.”

Frank also said he was certain that Republicans would fail in an attempt to overturn D.C.’s same-sex marriage law.

“Do you think Barack Obama is going to sign a bill to repeal the D.C. marriage law,” he asked. “It won’t go through the Senate. There is no chance that could happen. None—zero.”

Frank noted that only five out of 179 House Republicans voted earlier this year to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

“The Republicans have become much more anti-gay in their voting patterns,” he said. “There is zero chance of anything good happening with Republicans in control of the House.”

Frank said he was hopeful that the Senate would vote to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in the congressional lame duck session over the next two weeks. The House passed a “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal measure earlier this year as part of a defense authorization bill.

The Senate killed a similar defense authorization bill containing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal language in a filibuster organized by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.). Every Senate Republican voted against a cloture motion to break the filibuster.

Frank noted that a number of GOP senators cited the Senate bill’s inclusion of a controversial immigration provision known as the DREAM Act as their reason for voting against the bill, saying they otherwise would have supported repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

He said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told him he won’t insert the DREAM Act immigration language in the defense authorization bill when he brings it to the Senate floor in the lame duck session.

With the immigration language removed as an “excuse,” Frank said he’s hopeful that Republican senators who support repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” will now join Democrats in supporting the overall defense bill to which repeal language will be attached. Among the GOP senators that repeal advocates hope will back the bill this time are Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snow, both from Maine. [Continued...
National Gay and Lesbian Task Force:

Veterans Day 2010: End ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ now

WASHINGTON, Nov. 10 — Thursday is Veterans Day, a federal holiday honoring our country’s military veterans. On this occasion, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force reiterates its call for the immediate repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” military ban on openly lesbian, gay and bisexual service members.

Statement by Rea Carey, Executive Director
National Gay and Lesbian Task Force

“Veterans Day is a time to remember and honor veterans who have served our country, including thousands of qualified and patriotic lesbian, gay and bisexual service members who have been drummed out of the military under the discriminatory ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy. These courageous men and women were forced to become veterans before their time. Let this be the last Veterans Day where this irrational and costly policy is in effect. We urge the Senate to move swiftly to pass a defense authorization bill and repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ during the lame duck session. It’s long past time to end 17 years of witch hunts that have led to the discharge of thousands of skilled, competent service members and failed to make America stronger. Three-quarters of Americans think ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ should end, as do top military leaders and others. It’s now time for the Senate to step up and do its part to end this unjust policy.”

As for the new, Republican-led Congress, we must demand a congressional investigation of the Obama administration’s subversion of the law banning homosexual servicemembers. Obama has so politicized the process of reporting homosexuals in the military that he has made it very difficult to expel violators of the policy. This must end.

__________________________________

Dear AFTAH Readers,

In an astonishing display of the same arrogance that led to the Democrats getting a “shellacking” at the polls Tuesday, President Barack Obama has renewed his call to repeal the military’s ban on homosexuality (the existing law is misnamed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”). Seemingly learning nothing from the election, Obama and his left-wing, homosexual activist allies are hoping to force the homosexualization of the military in a lame-duck Congress.

The nation’s leading homosexual pressure group, the Human Wrongs Rights Campaign, has pledged — following the GOP landslide — to “[Put] every ounce of strength into pressuring the Senate to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” before the end of the year.” I am stunned at Obama’s “audacity” in catering to desires of HRC and other militant LGBT Lobby groups rather than the concerns of Middle America and desires of our fighting men and women during a time of war.

In a post-election press briefing, Obama falsely declared that the gays-in-the-military issue is non-partisan — despite the GOP’s unanimity in standing behind Sen. John McCain’s successful blockage of the recent repeal attempt in the Senate. Obama also alluded to the public’s alleged overwhelming approval for his stance (based on biased polling data that exaggerates the level of support for repealing the Armed Forces’ homosexuality ban). He conveniently ignored other polls [see HERE and HERE] – including one commissioned by Elaine Donnelly’s Center for Military Readiness that show that a majority of likely voters supports the current law, while 57 percent of military and those in military families also support the law. — Peter LaBarbera, Americans For Truth, www.aftah.org

Later, he was commissioned as a Major in the JAG Corps and was responsible for criminal prosecutions. Col. Black has a unique understanding of the importance of maintaining the ban on homosexuality in the Armed Forces. He discusses the “pro-homosexual” elites in the military working to bring homosexuals into the ranks, and notes that ending the homosexual ban will result ultimately in more HIV-positive soldiers throughout the military – who end up being non-deployable. [Click HERE for interview.]

Col.
America owes a debt of gratitude to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for leading the fight against the Democratic leadership’s destructive and reckless attempt to homosexualize the military by ending the ban on homosexual servicemen. Allowing open homosexuality in the Armed Services would turn the military into a massive, “gay”-promoting bureaucracy — eroding morale and driving moral-minded soldiers and sailors out of the service.
Republicans block bill to lift military gay ban

By ANNE FLAHERTY, Associated Press Writer, 9-21-10

WASHINGTON – Senate Republicans on Tuesday blocked an effort to repeal the ban on gays from serving openly in the military, handing gay rights groups a defeat in their last chance any time soon to overturn the law known as “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

Democrats fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance the legislation, which authorized $726 billion in defense spending. The vote was 56-43.

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, had been seen as the crucial 60th vote because she supports overturning the military ban. But Collins sided with her GOP colleagues in arguing that Republicans weren’t given sufficient leeway to offer amendments to the wide-ranging policy bill.

The vote fell mostly along party lines, although Sens. Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, both D-Ark., sided with Republicans to block the bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., also voted against the measure as a procedural tactic. Under Senate rules, casting his vote with the majority of the Senate enables him to revive the bill at a later date.

Advocates of lifting the 17-year-old ban had been optimistic that the Democratic-controlled White House and Congress could overcome objections to repeal. The move is unpopular among Republicans, military officers and social conservatives.

Gay rights advocates now worry they have lost a crucial opportunity to change the law. If Democrats lose seats in elections this fall, repealing the ban will prove even more difficult — if not impossible — next year.

An estimated 13,000 people have been discharged under the law since its inception in 1993. Although most dismissals have resulted from gay service members outing themselves, gay rights’ groups say it has been used by vindictive co-workers to drum out troops who never made their sexuality an issue.

Top defense officials, including Defense Secretary Robert Gates and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen, have said they support a repeal but want to move slowly to ensure changes won’t hurt morale.

Sen. Reid Goes 'Gaga' over Homosexuals in the Military

By Peter LaBarbera

Folks, you know as well as I that the media -- and apparently Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid -- are absolutely "ga ga" over "gays in the military." (Reid recenly 'tweeted' in support of pop mega-star Lady Gaga -- freakishly photographed nude on the cover of the "gay" magazine OUT above -- after she urged her millions of followers to lobby the Senate to support homosexuals in the military.)

This is what we're up against -- not just for today's critical vote on homosexuals in the military (commonly misnamed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell") but in trying to preserve truth for younger Americans who are, in effect, brainwashed on homosexuality. (And that is hardly an overstatement given the level of ignorance about the LGBT agenda that we're seeing, even among Christian and pro-life youths.)

Lady Gaga (real name: Stefani Germanotta), an admitted bisexual, is currently pop culture's biggest celebrator of homosexuality. She extols "gayness," androgyny and deviance in general, lives to serve her "gay" fans, and loves break down boundaries with her shocking behavior. But she also has a serious side that defenders of Judeo-Christian morality and traditional marriage need to reckon with: the Gaga video below lobbying the Senate to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" -- created just four days ago (Sept. 17) -- had 1,461,897 hits as of yesterday morning (9:00 AM Central) and 1,647,703 as of 7:12 Central this morning (Sept. 21, 2010). In contrast, a video of the excellent congressional testimony by Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness had about 3,300 hits as of yesterday; see that 9-minute video explaining why the DADT repeal is so misguided HERE.)

Calls have been flooding in to Capitol Hill in response to Gaga's plea to her fans (she calls them "little monsters") to lobby the Senate to repeal the military homosexual ban. Of course it helps that the liberal, overwhelmingly pro-homosexual media have promoted Gaga as if she is a serious public policy analyst and not a sexually twisted pop star -- fanatically committed to homosexuality-based "rights" -- who has a penchant for wearing bizarre costumes to grab attention. (Note that Germanotta exchanged her "meat dress" for a business-type suit in producing the video to the Senate below....)

Youth are lost

The cold, hard truth is the pro-natural-family side has largely lost the younger generations on the homosexual question -- after years of pro-homosexuality indoctrination in schools and Gaga-esque saturation-bombing of pro-"gay" messages in pop culture and Hollyood. We need to find a way to get them back toward the truth -- but right now, we need to stop President Obama, Sen. Reid and the Democrats from turning the U.S. Military into a gargantuan Homosexuality-Promoting Bureaucracy -- thus leading to discrimination against chaplains and people of faith in the Armed Services and driving good men and women from serving and re-enlisting in the military. TAKE ACTION: Call your U.S. Senators immediately at 202-224-3121 (www.senate.gov).

___________________________________________

AFTAH COMMENTARY:

See below where Lt. General Thomas Bostick equates those who defend normalcy and oppose sexual deviance in the military with racists.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and President Obama are rushing to homosexualize the U.S. military to satisfy a vocal and aggressive GLBT lobby made up of men and women desperate to have their disordered sexual lifestyle affirmed at any cost. If they succeed, they will severely undermine military morale by turning our Armed Forces into a zone of “Sexual Correctness” that punishes dissent, leading tens of thousands of moral-minded men and women to leave the service or otherwise not enlist.

The comments by Bostick are only the latest evidence that President Obama’s pro-homosexual “non-discrimination” plan for the military WILL DISCRIMINATE against normal and religious servicemembers who disagree with his immoral and impractical plan. Thus we face the specter that a type of ”homo-supremacy” will grow in the ranks: ”open and proud” homosexuals and bisexuals will be welcomed into the Armed Forces, while those who defend faith, tradition and common sense on this issue (including Bible-honoring chaplains?) will be shown the door.

Lt. Gen. Bostick’s twisted comparison — which echoes the standard anti-Christian rhetoric of homosexual activists — is itself an act of bigotry that shows insensitivity toward people of faith. Opposing people based on their (unchangeable) skin color is bigoted; defending a time-honored sexual moral code in the military’s unique environment is not. Opposing the celebration of perversion is not “hate” or prejudice but the right thing to do!

Note also how Bostick is discussing the implementation of a homosexuals-in-the-military plan before any action by Congress has been taken. When you are The Annointed One as president, who needs Congress, right? – Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

Excerpted from the Washington Times editorial:

Friday, Sept. 17, 2010

New Gay Army

Next week, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is expected to begin floor debate on a defense authorization bill that would repeal the Clinton-era “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy and allow homosexuals to serve openly in the armed forces. Last month, a top military official offered a glimpse of how the military might look should the new policy take effect: Those serving who oppose the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) agenda are no longer welcome.

Those were the views of Lt. Gen. Thomas P. Bostick, the Army’s deputy chief of staff in charge of personnel matters who spoke about “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” before several hundred troops at the European Command headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. “Unfortunately, we have a minority of service members who are still racists and bigoted and you will never be able to get rid of all of them,” Lt. Gen. Bostick said. “But these people opposing this new policy will need to get with the program, and if they can’t, they need to get out. No matter how much training and education of those in opposition, you’re always going to have those that oppose this on moral and religious grounds just like you still have racists today.”

The strong words take additional significance from Lt. Gen. Bostick’s direct involvement with a Pentagon panel charged with shaping military policy on this issue. Although Lt. Gen. Bostick presented the question of homosexuals in the military as if it were about civil rights, it is nothing of the kind. The services must discriminate to function. Those who are too old, too weak or too overweight must be shown the door even when similar actions in the private sector might spark a lawsuit. The reason for the military’s existence is to win battles and wars, not to ensure feelings aren’t hurt or to serve as a playground for social experimentation

The military’s long-standing ban on homosexual conduct is rooted in the principles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which also criminalizes adulterous conduct among heterosexuals insofar as it undermines the good order and discipline of the armed forces. Lt. Gen. Bostick suggested he would employ the same strict disciplinary standards to provide “education and training” that would ensure soldiers, sailors and airmen embrace the new LGBT agenda….. [Editorial continues at Washington Times HERE]

John Cornyn (R-TX) are slated to speech at a Log Cabin event in Washington, D.C., Sept. 22nd.

Like we always say: homosexual activists first, Republicans second. Make the Republicans more pro-perversion — yeah, that’s the ticket!

Perhaps the GOP could get a leg up on the Democrats by pushing immediately for the admission of open transsexuals (in addition to homosexuals) into the Armed Forces – with military-covered “gender reassignment surgery” (aka sex-change operations) for gender-confused transgender soldiers as a recruitment incentive. Sen.
Federal Judge Deems Military ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ Rule ‘Unconstitutional’

By Kathleen Gilbert, LifeSiteNews

RIVERSIDE, California, September 10, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A federal judge in California Thursday night ruled that the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) policy banning homosexuals from disclosing their sexual orientation while serving in the U.S. military is unconstitutional.

The ruling, which the judge vowed to follow up with a permanent injunction against the policy in two weeks, arrived less than three months before the results of a Pentagon study evaluating the possible detrimental effects of repealing the policy is due to be presented to Congress.

In an 86-page opinion, Judge Virginia A. Phillips claimed that the defendants, listed as the United States and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, have failed to prove that DADT “was necessary to significantly further the Government’s important interests in military readiness and unit cohesion.” The Log Cabin Republicans, a national homosexualist Republican group, was plaintiff in the case.

Pro-family leaders immediately condemned the ruling.

“It is hard to believe that a District Court level judge in California knows more about what impacts military readiness than the service chiefs who are all on the record saying the law on homosexuality in the military should not be changed,” said Family Research Council president Tony Perkins, a Marine veteran, in a statement late Thursday. “This is a decision for Congress that should be based upon the input of the men and women who serve and those who lead them.”

Phillips argued that the ban violates homosexuals’ First Amendment right to free speech because it disallows them from discussing their sexuality.

“Heterosexual members are free to state their sexual orientation, ‘or words to that effect,’ while gay and lesbian members of the military are not. Thus, on its face, the Act discriminates based on the content of the speech being regulated,” she wrote.

While noting that courts traditionally “apply a more deferential level of review of military restrictions on speech,” Phillips said that DADT fails to win the special protection because it “encompasses a vast range of speech, far greater than necessary to protect the Government’s substantial interests,” as it restricts off-duty socializing and other casual speech.

Phillips also argued that DADT’s restrictions “actually serve to impede military readiness and unit cohesion” by discouraging military employees from reporting anti-homosexual harassment.

The suit was first launched in 2004, but stalled due to the health problems and retirement of the first judge assigned to handle the case, the plaintiff’s attorney, Dan Woods, told the Associated Press.

Defense Department attorneys did not summon any witnesses to defend the policy, presenting only DADT’s legislative history as a defense, and arguing that the debate was a political issue that should be left to Congress.

The House of Representatives passed a repeal of the ban in May that would go into effect if Gates and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, confirm that the repeal is sensible in light of the Pentagon report.
