I am in North Carolina to give a speech tomorrow evening in Raleigh at a banquet for the NC Family Policy Council, a fine organization that defends marriage and family in this beautiful state.  Thanks to the Republicans taking control of the NC legislature, on May 8th, North Carolina’s voters will finally get an opportunity to affirm real marriage (one man, one woman) at the ballot box.  I predict they will do so, but the “Gay”  Lobby — intent on pushing for sodomy-based “marriage” — is raising tons of money to defeat the amendment.  So please help by contacting your North Carolina friends and family members!

1. Savage is probably the leading activist today working to normalize homosexuality to children and young people – one of the most evil things any person can do (because sexual sin is destructive and our Creator calls homosexual behavior “detestable”).  Jesus hates the corruption of youth: “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him it a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.” (Mark 9:42).  Now Savage has his own show on MTV (“Savage U,” beginning April 3), which could become another huge platform to degrade kids’ morals.  [TAKE ACTION: Go HERE to contact Viacom Inc. 2. Savage avidly promotes radical homosexual patterns of immorality — like “outside” sex — to “straight” married couples.  You would expect this from perversion defenders, but he takes it to new extremes, aggressively touting adulterous “monogamish” relationships that mock the age-old ideal of lifelong fidelity in marriage. Of course, secular media types help advance Savage’s wicked ideas (see this NY Tiimes piece on the supposed “Virtues of Infidelity”);

• Savage is an aggressively anti-Christian activist who uses cyber-hate to demonize people of faith like Rick Santorum as hateful “bigots.”  Who could even make up something as perverse and evil as “Santorum[dot]com”?   Nobody.  Again, Savage takes his pathological anti-conservative-Christian bigotry to new lows with such vile campaigns.  We can’t let him get away with it;
• Better than most on the Left, Savage illustrates the grand hypocrisy and mocking spirit of Libertine Leftists.  They smear moral-minded Americans as prudish “haters” when NOBODY is as hateful and mean-spirited as they are.  Moreover, like so many on the Left, Savage mocks biblical morality and sneers at its defenders — with a snarky arrogance that will do him no good when he meets his Maker.  This is the zeitgeist of our age: understand Savage and you understand “post-Christian” America’s deep moral and spiritual crisis;
• Lastly, the liberal media and Hollywood are setting themselves up by REWARDING Savage despite his malicious activism.  Modern liberals love anyone who promotes homosexuality to young people, which Savage does through his media-celebrated “It Gets Better” campaign.  So these social regressives ignore, tolerate or giggle at Savage’s shockingly twisted antics while giving legitimacy to his fringe sexual ideas.  (Then the same Cultural Elites thrash Rush Limbaugh whenever he makes a mistake!)  We at AFTAH are not going to let cynical, secular opinion-makers forget their double-standard and their awful hypocrisy.

Sen. Reid Goes 'Gaga' over Homosexuals in the Military

Folks, you know as well as I that the media -- and apparently Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid  -- are absolutely "ga ga" over "gays in the military." (Reid recenly 'tweeted' in support of pop mega-star Lady Gaga -- freakishly photographed nude on the cover of the "gay" magazine OUT above -- after she urged her millions of followers to lobby the Senate to support homosexuals in the military.)

This is what we're up against -- not just for today's critical vote on homosexuals in the military (commonly misnamed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell") but in trying to preserve truth for younger Americans who are, in effect, brainwashed on homosexuality. (And that is hardly an overstatement given the level of ignorance about the LGBT agenda that we're seeing, even among Christian and pro-life youths.)

Lady Gaga (real name: Stefani Germanotta), an admitted bisexual, is currently pop culture's biggest celebrator of homosexuality. She extols "gayness," androgyny and deviance in general, lives to serve her "gay" fans, and loves break down boundaries with her shocking behavior. But she also has a serious side that defenders of Judeo-Christian morality and traditional marriage need to reckon with: the Gaga video below lobbying the Senate to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" -- created just four days ago (Sept. 17) -- had 1,461,897 hits as of yesterday morning (9:00 AM Central) and 1,647,703 as of 7:12 Central this morning (Sept. 21, 2010). In contrast, a video of the excellent congressional testimony by Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness had about 3,300 hits as of yesterday; see that 9-minute video explaining why the DADT repeal is so misguided HERE.)

Calls have been flooding in to Capitol Hill in response to Gaga's plea to her fans (she calls them "little monsters") to lobby the Senate to repeal the military homosexual ban. Of course it helps that the liberal, overwhelmingly pro-homosexual media have promoted Gaga as if she is a serious public policy analyst and not a sexually twisted pop star -- fanatically committed to homosexuality-based "rights" -- who has a penchant for wearing bizarre costumes to grab attention. (Note that Germanotta exchanged her "meat dress" for a business-type suit in producing the video to the Senate below....)

Youth are lost

The cold, hard truth is the pro-natural-family side has largely lost the younger generations on the homosexual question -- after years of pro-homosexuality indoctrination in schools and Gaga-esque saturation-bombing of pro-"gay" messages in pop culture and Hollyood. We need to find a way to get them back toward the truth -- but right now, we need to stop President Obama, Sen. Reid and the Democrats from turning the U.S. Military into a gargantuan Homosexuality-Promoting Bureaucracy -- thus leading to discrimination against chaplains and people of faith in the Armed Services and driving good men and women from serving and re-enlisting in the military. Pray that Ellen would find reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ and join the ranks of ex-lesbians. American Idol Judge Ellen DeGeneres Asks Female Contestant to Sing Love Song to a Woman on Idol Semifinal

(CNSNews.com) – American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres picked a love song written to be sung by a man to a woman for contestant Crystal Bowersox–a single mom with a boyfriend–to perform on the show’s semifinal program on Tuesday night.

The song, “Maybe I’m Amazed,” written by Paul McCartney and dedicated to his now-deceased wife Linda McCartney, includes the repeated lyric “baby, I’m a man” in the chorus.

There were only three contestants left for the semifinal of the popular Fox television program and each was required to sing two songs, one they picked for themselves and another picked for them by one of the judges or a pair of judges.

Judges Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi picked “Daughters” by John Mayer for contestant Casey James to perform. Simon Cowell picked “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen for contestant Lee DeWyze to perform. And DeGeneres picked McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed” for contestant Crystal Bowersox.

The other judges and host Ryan Seacrest appeared to express a higher level of curiosity about DeGeneres’s song pick for Bowersox than they did for the other judges’ choices for the program.

“All right, Ellen, so why did you pick this one for Crystal?” Seacrest asked DeGeneres before Bowersox performed the tune.

“Well, I love the song,” DeGeneres said. “I think the song is amazing, and I think she’s amazing. And I just wanted her to surprise people. Well, what do you know? Even Modern Liberals trying to create a prototype for a “Modern Family” by mainstreaming Age-Old Deviance (homosexuality) apparently still have to deal with the reality that Modern Americans don’t want to see two men kiss. (Yuck.)

Yes, I was checking out openly homosexual Brit Andrew Sullivan’s blog — upon learning that he agrees with us (from an entirely different perspective) that Elena Kagan should answer the question of whether she is a practicing lesbian — and there it was: the photo above from a Modern Family episode — showing that normalcy is not a dead concept, even among those trying so hard to undermine it.

Opines Sullivan about the photo: ‘The shot is, perhaps, a perfect distillation of where the culture now is on gays: fine but not equal.”

No, Andrew, the photo is a perfect distillation of what’s wrong with Modern Homosexuality: homosexual behavior itself. Sexual perversion can never be “equal” to the natural and normal created order (savvy “gay” sloganeering aside). And a society that sees these two representative TV couples as morally equivalent is a society in serious decline — as the late popular historian Will Durant observed about America back when we as a nation were only beginning our “gay” embrace.

Of course, America is in serious moral decline, as evidenced by the very existence of a primetime TV sitcom that has as two of its main characters a homosexual male couple raising an adopted girl (Modern Motherlessness?). But at least we’re not as far gone as the snooty liberals with their God- and Nature-defying agenda would like us to be. In other words, America has not quite reached the stage of total depravity, but we’re well on our way.

The effort to reprogram Americans’ natural “disgust” factor toward homosexual conduct will go on. The Modern Homosexual Lobby is never satisfied — no matter how many once-cherished norms and religious teachings it succeeds in undermining. But it sure gets tiresome hearing these over-indulged whiners complaining ad nauseam about how their aberrant relationships are not treated “equally” to the normal and natural kind.

How ‘Modern’ does ABC want to be?

This latest “gay” hubbub begs the question: how “modern” is ABC willing to be? Modern enough to throw good money after bad to cater to pro-homosexual progressives? Because if ABC bends to the latest homosexual pressure campaign and starts showing two guys (actors Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Ferguson) making out, you can kiss those Nielsen ratings and “Modern Family” good-bye.

That’s right: homosexual sex doesn’t sell on Main Street, even in 2010.

I wrote about the phenomenon of politically correct liberals remaining squeamish about homosexuality ten years ago in WorldNetDaily after attending a conference by the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (as a critic). Phillip Gefter, a picture editor for the New York Times, recalled how he suggested a series of “benign” photos of homosexual men kissing to illustrate a story on “homophobia” — but his (usually “gay”-affirming) editors and colleagues all “had the same reaction: they claimed that the pictures literally turned their stomachs.”

Nature, it seems, is not easily erased.

Besides, if it’s homosexual reality the GLBT activists want, perhaps they should lobby ABC executives to write a little “outside sex” into the script for their homosexual “Modern Family” protagonists. After all, studies show outside sex is rampant among homosexual male couples, and even Andrew Sullivan himself infamously hailed the “honest” toleration of extracurricular sex as a distinctive and advantageous feature of homosexual couplings compared to straights. Homosexual adoption advocate Dan Savage took it a step further, recommending the gay brand of “nonmonogamy” as a model to married straight couples — and as a potential strategy to lower the divorce rate. (Might want to run that one by some more wives, Dan; most, like mine, wouldn’t be too tolerant of a request for some “outside sex.”)

But the “queer” activists need not worry: injecting too much “reality TV” into Modern Family won’t happen because it would destroy the program’s unstated purpose: to create a moral equivalence in the viewer’s mind between homosexual parenting and the natural, God-ordained, mom-and-dad family that has served humanity quite well for centuries.

Fifteen-year-old child star Dakota Fanning is starring in yet another provocative movie role – snorting cocaine in bathrooms and participating in a steamy lesbian kiss and heavily implied sex scene with her female co-star.

Her latest movie, “The Runaways,” is rated “R” and will release March 19. It premiered at this year’s Sundance film festival.

Fanning plays the role of Cherie Currie, lead vocalist of The Runaways, an all-girl hard-rock band popular in the 1970s. Former “The Twilight Saga” star Kristen Stewart, 19, plays openly lesbian rocker Joan Jett, the band’s guitarist.

According to an early version of the script, the opening scene includes a splotch of menstrual blood hitting the sidewalk. Fanning’s character is seen with blood dripping down her leg as she begins her first menstrual cycle.

Jett is a rebellious teenager who curses, shoplifts leather pants, urinates on electric guitars, smokes, pops pills, takes part in several sexually charged scenes and smashes objects. Jett teaches another band member, Sandy, how to masturbate to Farrah Fawcett.

Fanning’s character cusses often, acts out, appears scantily clad in bed with “twenty-something surfer dudes,” drinks, uses cocaine and pops prescription pills. At age 15 she is abandoned by her mother, who moves to Indonesia with her boyfriend, and her father is an alcoholic.

Actor Michael Shannon plays band manager and bad guy Kim Fowley. According to one version of the script, when he meets the girl band, he declares, “Lemme guess, you sing in a band. And it’s the greatest f—ing band in the world. And I’m the luckiest dogf—er in the world because I get to hear it first.”

Get the inside information, in “What Hollywood Believes: An Intimate Look at the Faith of the Famous”

Fowley wears female clothing, constantly cusses and talks about sex and warns the band, “Rock n’ roll is tough music played in tough venues. Men don’t like to see women anywhere but in their kitchens or on their knees – let alone on-stage with guitars.”

Fowley has countless outbursts filled with expletives and pelvic thrusts as he teaches the girls to express rage in their music.

“They start jamming with Fowley listening, who is seemingly coked to the gills with a bent towards pedophilia,” a Cinematical review states. “He decides the band needs, as he so eloquently illustrates with his finger pointed at a woman’s crotch, more sex.”

Fanning’s character participates in a sex scene with her fellow female rocker. One version of the script describes the scene:

Precarious … a hand pushes a top up to expose a breast …
Unsteady … a bible on the night stand …
Tottering … white sheets unravel around a leg …
Weak … Toes curl up … roller-skate wheels spin …
Agitation … streaks of light …
A quiver … Cherie’s mouth opens …

The scene is followed by, “Whatever clothes they were wearing the night before are scattered all over the floor.”

Donna Miller special projects coordinator for Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, expressed concern that Fanning’s young fans might glamorize the starlet’s shocking behavior.

“That behavior includes a lesbian affair, sexually explicit song lyrics, risqué clothing and a pathetic character in a drugged-out existence,” Miller told WND. “In her interviews at Sundance, nowhere have I seen her denounce any of that behavior as destructive or immoral. In fact, she romanticizes her Cherie Currie character. Fanning indicates the lesbian sex scene is just a natural progression of the relationship.”

Kirk Honeycutt of the Hollywood Reporter echoed Miller’s concern about the movie’s portrayal of the band’s dysfunctional behavior: “While the film makes it clear its personalities suffered tremendously for their addictions, it all looks so glam.”

Fowley forces the girls to endure a rock-and-roll boot camp. He allows teen boys to throw bottles, bricks and garbage at them so they learn to cope with hecklers.

As WND reported, another controversial Fanning movie, “Hounddog,” sexualized a 9-year-old little girl. At the time, Fanning was only 12 years old when she played the child character who was violently raped. The movie earned a stunningly low $12,500 on its first weekend of release in theaters.

Grove City College professor Warren Throckmorton -- who is on record affirming homosexuality as "natural, normal and healthy" despite the College's biblical faith charter -- has joined homosexual activists in crusading against Uganda's proposed Anti-Homosexuality law. Perhaps Throckmorton, who has lost his faith in the ability of Jesus Christ to help "homosexuals" leave the lifestyle, could learn something from the more biblically faithful Ugandans.

Folks, I’ve been trying to avoid the Ugandan “Culture War” on homosexuality because I figure we’re busy enough with our own here in the USA. But that hasn’t stopped American homosexual activists and fellow travelers like Professor Warren Throckmorton of the “evangelical” Grove City College from insinuating themselves into the Ugandan situation. (Sadly, Warren has lost his faith in the ability of God to radically change homosexuals through Christ, and now busily works — even in Uganda! — to promote the faithless and disheartening message that most “gays and lesbians” cannot change their basic “orientation”; see his Uganda Independent column in which he makes that assertion HERE.)

Here’s the question I keep asking myself about the Uganda controversy: just what is it that qualifies the United States of America to lecture the Ugandans about homosexuality? Is it our public policy that enshrines immoral sexual behavior (oops: “sexual orientation”) and gender confusion (er…”gender identity and expression”) as a “civil right”? Is it our homosexual “marriage” laws that make a mockery of this divine institution (laws about which Prof. Throckmorton is curiously silent)? How about our pro-homosexuality educational propaganda in K-12 schools that corrupts young students’ minds in the name of “tolerance”? Or the 24/7 “gay bathhouses” and sex clubs that proliferate in urban centers across the United States to facilitate quick-and-easy (and anonymous) deviant sexual hook-ups? (“Come to America: where you can have all the safe sodomy you want! Discounts for students (no joke) and free condoms available for your perverted pleasure!”)

Tell me: does Uganda have something to learn from Christian “defectors” like the opportunistic Prof. Throckmorton — who is now a de facto promoter of homosexuality as normal, natural and healthy while ostensibly still claiming some sort of “Christian” mission at GCC? (Grove City College boasts in evangelical circles that it is “authentically Christian” — an advertising claim of diminishing accuracy the longer it abides likes of Throckmorton.)

Challenge to Accommodationists: I stand corrected if Prof. Throckmorton or any Grove City prof — indeed, any homosexual activist or pro-”gay” apologist — can show me anything resembling “sexual orientation” in the Bible as this concept is currently understood and posited in academia, the media and society.

Nope. What we’re seeing here is sheer Western activist arrogance. (Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media calls it “Homosexual Imperialism.”) I haven’t yet studied the proposed Ugandan legislation but I agree with Bob Knight’s analysis below — and AFTAH is clearly on record opposing draconian penalties for homosexuality like those imposed by jihadist Islamic radicals. But I do know this: Uganda would do well to avoid the example set by America of a cultural-elite-driven society that celebrates homosexuality (along with other sexual immoralities) — and then reaps the whirlwind that results, including the following:

• devastating (public) health crises that are prolonged by the politically correct protection of the very sexual misbehaviors that helped spread the disease in the first place;
• the proliferation of “gay” activist groups that war against Judeo-Christian values and cruelly smear people of faith who dare to defend those values;
• pro-homosexuality, politically correct indoctrination — even on the job — masquerading as “diversity” — i.e., the gradual replacement of Christian proselytization with the institutional advocacy of sin, disguised as tolerance;
• public immorality and annual “gay pride” parades that subject children to immoral displays including public nudity;
• the undermining of historic Judeo-Christian teachings on sex and marriage; “queer” theological attacks on the Bible and sacred texts due to their unambiguous teachings against homosexual acts;
• the rise of “gay”-sympathetic, anti-religious bigotry and even laws that criminalize the outworking of a biblically-informed conscience against homosexuality; legal and cultural harassment of moral-minded organizations like the Boy Scouts and Salvation Army that refuse to treat homosexuality as a civil right;
• the corruption and victimization of children — including ever younger “coming out” ages for children declaring their supposed “gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender” (“queer”) identity.
• turning the public schools into indoctrination zones for the “GLBT” ideology — all in the name of tolerance and “protecting kids”; the spread of “gay” school clubs, first to high schools, then to middle schools, and ultimately to grade schools.

As you can see, most of America’s “lessons” on homosexuality for Uganda are negative ones. You cannot find a better example of selective outrage and character assassination than the Jan. 5 New York Times editorial, “Hate begets hate.”

This humdinger of a self-descriptive screed has it all: wild, unsubstantiated charges; villains; hysterical calls for action; and a smug, holier-than-thou tone that would put “Saturday Night Live”‘s Church Lady to shame.

At issue is Uganda’s proposed law criminalizing homosexuality. But the editorial’s real focus is crucifying Christians who had given talks in Uganda and any part of Christendom that has not bowed its knee to the gay gods.

The Times notes that “three evangelical Christians, whose teachings about ‘curing’ gays and lesbians have been widely discredited in the United States, helped feed this hatred.” The editorial names Scott Lively, Caleb Lee Brundidge and Don Schmierer, who “gave a series of talks” last March that “claimed that gays and lesbians are a threat to Bible-based family values.”

I don’t know Mr. Brundidge, but I do know Mr. Lively and Mr. Schmierer. Both are honest and courageous men who, out of Christian compassion, dare to tell the truth about homosexuality. For this, the Times brands them as hatemongers.

While Mr. Lively has written perceptively and passionately about countering the homosexual activists’ political and cultural agenda, there is no evidence of “hate.” Trying to steer someone away from destructive, immoral, changeable behavior is an act of love, not hate. And it is beyond absurd to label as a bigot a man like Don Schmierer, who supports AIDS ministries and reaches out to sexually conflicted people with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Casting the gentle, soft spoken Mr. Schmierer as a “hater” is like calling Mother Teresa a foul-mouthed harpy.

These men discuss sexual behavior and its consequences for individuals, families and societies, and the blessings of God-given hope. As is typical for a fully owned subsidiary of the homosexual activist movement, the Times falsely claims that the Christian leaders oppose the people themselves. The Times has bought into and promoted the media-fed fiction that people are born gay, cannot change and therefore their volitional sexual behavior is synonymous with identity. In gay parlance, it’s “who they are,” not what they do.

This is nonsense. If we are defined by our sexual behavior, then men addicted to pornography are nothing more than “pornophiles.” It is homosexual activists who have insisted on making sexual desire the be-all and end-all of personal identity. They did this to hijack the moral capital of the black civil-rights movement, equating “sexual orientation” with immutable characteristics like skin color or ethnicity. One big problem remains for them, though. Skin color and ethnicity are morally neutral. Sexual behavior is fraught with moral, social and physical consequences and has been regulated by every society since time began.

The Times ignores the Christian men’s pointed criticisms of the proposed Uganda law and says, “We don’t have much hope that they will atone for their acts.”

Well, we don’t have a whole lot of hope that the Times will atone for its many portrayals of Christians as hate-filled bigots whenever the “gay” issue surfaces. They are following the playbook of “After the Ball,” a gay strategy manual from 1989 that instructs activists to “jam” opponents into silence through threats of guilt by association, outright smears and phony “scientific” claims that go unexamined. The strategy has worked brilliantly, as even conservative voices have been frightened into silence or into steadily ceding moral ground, circling the wagons only around the word “marriage.”

The Times is not alone, of course, in its relentless pursuit of homosexual orthodoxy. On Jan. 7, the Washington Post ran an editorial about Uganda entitled, “A barbaric proposal.” The Post editors, at least, did not engage in Christian bashing, and stuck to very real problems with the proposed law. They did repeat a gay mantra, however: “Being gay is not a choice.”

Science has by no means settled the issue. None of the highly publicized studies by gay researchers in the 1990s has been replicated, and several have been discredited. Then, too, there is the inconvenient existence of many people who engage in homosexuality for years and later embrace the straight life. The “ex-gay” movement is large and growing, but the media are keeping it one of the best-kept secrets out of deference to militant gay activists in the newsrooms.

Uganda has been in the cultural elites’ hot water before by bucking the U.S.-backed condom crusade in Africa and slashing its AIDS rate with campaigns for abstinence and fidelity. The current homosexuality bill is seriously flawed. It contains such overreaches as jail terms for people who do not report homosexual activity and life imprisonment for people who engage in the behavior. But the Times and the Post go beyond criticizing the harsher aspects of the law and attack the underlying concern of Ugandans to defend marriage and family, avoid the corruption of their children and put the brakes on AIDS and other diseases.

The Times and the Post warn that Uganda will become a “pariah” nation “shunned globally” if the law is passed. That may be so. But it might behoove the press to take a closer look at some other countries in Africa whose governments, in the grip of Muslim extremism, routinely cut off people’s heads merely for changing religions. Some nations, such as Egypt, have governments that look the other way as young Christian girls are abducted, raped and forced into Muslim marriages. Do these nations qualify as “pariahs”?

The Times’ editors need to come to terms with their knee-jerk spasms against evangelical Christians and others who defend family values. They routinely depict pro-marriage Americans as motivated solely by hatred and prejudice, never by genuine, heartfelt concerns.

In their editorial’s own words: “You can’t preach hate and not accept responsibility for the way that hate is manifested.”

If this is so, the next equipment the Times should order for its newsroom is … a mirror.

I urge you to support Bill Keller and his daily “Live Prayer” programming this holiday season. This man of God has a heart for people and for this nation — which truly is in “full rebellion to God and His Truth” — like few others. I have been a guest on Keller’s show and know that he lovingly ministers to all sinners, including people caught up in homosexuality. Some one-time “gays” and “lesbians” have abandoned these disordered lifestyles through his ministry — surely lifted up by the heavenly petitions of LivePrayer viewers.

Who can deny that America needs prayer as the battle of good versus evil rages between our coasts? The other day I happened upon an old (2004) episode of the ABC comedy show Will & Grace that contained a subplot about a young woman who disappoints her male fiancé because it turns out she’s really a lesbian who has a crush on Grace, the show’s co-lead character (see photo). At a Thanksgiving meal at the dysfunctional home of the parents of homosexual co-lead character Will’s boyfriend, the newbie lesbian gets lost under the table so she can go “up the skirt” of a shocked Grace, who is sitting across from her — apparently to fondle Grace’s private parts!

Ha ha. Real funny. I’ll bet the writer was proud of himself for that classy bit of “gay humor.” Strategically-placed perverts who hate God are destroying this nation’s soul.

Who can deny that the Sexual Revolution — ushering in rampant promiscuity, the trivialization of the sacred, abortion-on-demand, the celebration of homosexuality and other perversions, and contempt for marriage — has warred against God and goodness in America? And why are we shocked that generations of American youth — influenced by a debased culture and those highly-placed pervs — are confused about biblical Truth on homosexuality, sex and marriage?

And yet I am struck by the faithful warriors like Keller, who labor well outside the politically-correct limelight, and who represent that old-fashioned force for greatness — godly virtue — that made America a unique nation. (Bill is not perfect: thankfully he got it wrong about George Bush not being reelected in 2004.)  “Tolerance” and worse, celebration, of any sin — fornication, homosexuality, pornography, abortion, etc. — brings down a civilization; it is hardly some sort of “all American” thing about which we should collectively boast. (This is the travesty of man-centered libertarianism.) In fact, America’s exportation to more innocent cultures abroad of immoral “entertainment” like Will & Grace only adds to our shame.

But as in Hollywood, shame seems to be in short supply in these United States. (Although we have plenty of pride, including the “queer” variety.) Against all odds, we need to humble ourselves, repent for our excessive tolerance (including for our own private, indulged sins), and pray for God to hold back his judgment and heal our land. America can only move back toward virtue if we return to the God and start becoming more offended by sin, and less offended by biblical Truth. Bill Keller writes in his Dec. 12, 2009 “Daily Devotional”:

A culture in full rebellion to God and His Truth! I vividly remember my summer vacations during the ’60s as I was growing up. One of the highlights each summer was the 2-week stay at my father’s parents. Those two weeks with grandma and grandpa were always a special time. One of the things I will never forget was on Saturday night we always watched the Lawrence Welk Show.

As an 8, 9, 10-year-old boy, it wasn’t my favorite thing to watch because it was an “old people’s show.”

One thing I did enjoy about the Welk program was most every week they would include one of the great hymns of the Christian faith, and there were even some programs that were dedicated to the great hymns we sung in church each Sunday. I have to confess, if I am home on a Saturday night around 7 p.m., I always switch to the local PBS station in Tampa, since that is the hour each week they replay those great Lawrence Welk Shows. I guess I am an “old people” now!

As you know, I have hammered PBS recently for airing the New Age lies of Dr.
Wayne Dyer that are leading the souls of those who follow his false teachings to hell. That is why I was shocked last week to learn that PBS has announced it will no longer air ANY “religious programming.” My guess is that they will label Dyer’s programs that bring in millions of dollars to PBS each year as “spirituality,” but will never even consider any program that counters his lies with the Truth of the Bible.

It will actually be very interesting to see how they handle some of the old Welk programs that are full of the great old hymns of the faith. PBS tends to have an older demographic and I am certain the Welk programs that have been used to raise lots of money for PBS over the years are a big reason many elderly people donate during their fundraising drives. The fact PBS is also supported by tax dollars makes this interesting that they can refuse to air any programming that would be geared to the Christian faith, but I doubt the ACLU will be defending Christians against PBS any time soon.

I bring this to your attention today as simply another example of what I have been telling you for years was going to happen, as the culture is slowly but surely aggressively trying to eliminate God, Jesus, and the Bible from the public arena while promoting the lies of satan. Twenty years ago PBS would have never had the guts to make a move like this, but nobody fears Christians any longer and satan is working overtime to eliminate Christ and Biblical Truth from the culture.

Another great example of this was Pepsi finally “coming out” in their full support of the radical homosexual agenda in this nation. They now boldly and visibly align themselves with the gay movement in the sponsorship and partnership of high-profile gay events around the nation. Trust me, they spent millions in market research that has told them that they can cash in on this growing segment of our society with minimal downside risk in losing sales from those who oppose the sin of homosexuality.

I have tried to share with you over and over that NOBODY fears Christians any longer. They are not afraid of us because we are so fractured, we have no real voice or presence in the secular marketplace Those who are most visible have no real impact on the culture because they either preach a watered-down feel-good message or compromise the Truth to pursue their own agenda, and the Truth has been so compromised in most churches that even those who profess to be Christians will support sin more readily than they will stand for the Truth of the Bible.

I have been told by major TV networks that air the most outrageous filth and garbage you can name, promoting every sin imaginable, that they find the content of my TV program to be “offensive and disturbing.” THE WORLD IS OFFENDED AND DISTURBED BY THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE!!!!

I love you and care about you so much. The fact is there is a world out there that is HUNGRY for real Truth. People are searching and looking for real hope and answers they can stake their lives on. I watch daily as people promoting a political ideology are rallying great numbers of people through their media presence. After nearly 7 years in the secular media, 10 years online, I can attest that this nation is RIPE for someone who has the guts and courage to boldly tell people there is a better way, and that better way is God’s way!!!

I will remain faithful, continue to do what I do each day in reaching millions via the Internet, seeing lives impacted for Christ, and souls saved, while sitting on the vehicle that can change the spiritual course of this nation and turn our land back to God and His Truth. I am so thankful for the many people step up and sacrifice each month to keep me doing what I am doing, as I seek God for wisdom, pray daily for the Lord to send the right person or group who has the resources and vision to help me put into place the media tools we need, national TV and radio, to take this nation back for the Lord.

Satan will keep fighting with all his might to shut down Liveprayer through a lack of funding, since he knows if I can simply get my hands on the $3 million it would take to put those media pieces into place, we can quickly amass several million people around this nation who want to see this nation turn back to God and His Truth, giving us the voice and presence to battle for the hearts, minds, and souls of the masses who are simply waiting for someone to give them REAL hope and change!!!

Folks, we have been slow to comment on all the Harvey Milk hype in our liberal-dominated popular culture — hype that is driving this push for an outrageous California bill that would effectively force students to celebrate a man famous for … being the first “out and proud” practitioner of homosexuality to win public office. (Oh boy: another marker for America’s Moral Meltdown.) The more one reads about Milk (see Dan Flynn’s excellent City Journal piece HERE) and the real story about his murder at the hands of Dan White (see caption above), the more preposterous becomes the idea of heralding him as a “civil rights” martyr.

For the media, Hollywood and academic establishments, the fix is in on championing Milk as an American hero. For the rest of us (the silent majority), he was a just a man with a sexual problem who achieved a political first in a city — San Francisco — that devolved into a Mecca for others with the same sexual sin problem. Had he not practiced deviant and unhealthy sex, nobody would care about the name Harvey Milk. Incidentally, this epitomizes what is wrong with “gay” history: it’s mostly written by those with a vested interest in normalizing aberrant and immoral sexual lifestyles.

And now, if Arnold wimps out, California children will learn some more skewed history. They will be taught to associate heroism, nobility and justice with a politician who not only crusaded for a misguided cause — state-enfored “rights” based on homosexuality — but who lied to advance that cause and his career. ‘Harvey Milk Day’ heads to Calif. gov’s desk

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (BP)–A bill that would encourage California public schools to observe “Harvey Milk Day” and to remember the deceased homosexual leader with “commemorative exercises” passed the state Senate Tuesday and is heading to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who hasn’t taken a position on it.

Schwarzenegger actually vetoed a similar bill last year but is under more pressure this year in light of President Obama recently awarding a Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously to Milk, the nation’s first openly homosexual person elected to public office. Milk was a San Francisco city supervisor who was assassinated in 1978 by another supervisor. The fact that the biographical movie “Milk” was released last year only adds to the pressure on the governor.

The bill (S.B. 572) would commemorate Milk with what the state calendar calls a day of “significance.” The only other such days are the Day of the Teacher (second Wednesday of May), John Muir Day (April 21) and California Poppy Day (April 6). Harvey Milk Day would be his birthday, May 22.

Schwarzenegger actually referenced the bill on his Twitter account days ago, writing, “Give me your thoughts on the water package, Harvey Milk Day, and the prison reform bill.”

It passed the Senate, 22-14, and the House, 46-28, along party-line votes with Democrats in the majority….

Individual schools and teachers could decide on their own whether to mark the day, although many certainly would. The text of the bill says “all public schools and educational institutions are encouraged to observe.” The bill says it would be appropriate to have “exercises remembering the life of Harvey Milk, recognizing his accomplishments, and familiarizing pupils with the contributions he made to this state.”

State Sen. Mark Leno, a Democrat and the bill’s sponsor, told The San Francisco Chronicle, “It should be kept in mind that he [Milk] literally gave his life so I and others can serve in public office and that every generation of LGBT Californians can pursue their every hope, dream and aspiration.”

But Randy Thomasson, an opponent of the bill and the president of SaveCalifornia.com, said Milk’s sexual escapades make him unfit to be pushed as a role model. For weeks, Thomasson’s press releases have quoted from “The Mayor of Castro Street,” a popular biography about Milk. Milk was 48 when he died but always had a desire for teen boys and men in their early 20s, the book says. He also advocated having multiple partners, it says….

Thomasson said in a [statement:] “Reputable biographies demonstrate that Milk was a sexual predator of teens, a homosexual sex addict who advocated polygamous relationships, and a public liar who justified his deceit. Harvey Milk was and is a terrible role model for kids, including kindergarteners who would be affected by this very bad bill.”

You know, it’s pretty hard to play the victim when propagandistic “gay” images and characters saturate the airwaves. But leave it to GLAAD (the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) to try. I wonder though: what about Hollywood and EX-”gays”? (GLAAD fails to see the hypocrisy of its ongoing “defamation” of them.) It took decades after Roe v. Wade for Hollywood to produce movies like Juno that are unapologetically pro-life. How long will it take for the entertainment industry to catch up with reality and cast a sympathetic former homosexual character who is content with his sexuality? — Peter LaBarbera

We’re Here, We’re Queer, We Were on Primetime Network TV 647 Hours Last Year (Not Counting Cable)

I’m really wondering whether we need GLAAD anymore.  They’ve just released their Network Responsibility Index for 2008-09 to “serve as a road map toward increasing fair, accurate and inclusive LGBT media representations.”  ABC led the pack among networks; of its 1,146.5 total hours of primetime programming, 269.5 hours (24%) included LGBT impressions.  The CW came in second with 138 LGBT-inclusive hours, or 20% of its primetime offerings.  CBS gave us the back of their hand, devoting only 60 hours — 5% of its schedule — to us.  For shame.

In 1985, when GLAAD was a startup, this kind of monitoring was not only valuable, but necessary.  Back then, the New York Times had a specific editorial policy against use of the word “gay,” to describe us.  GLAAD is the reason that changed, and they can claim credit for much more.  They’ve helped us change the world.

But now we are in the position where we can complain when one network only shows us five percent of the time — a number pretty close to our actual percentage in the population.  Anyone tuned only to ABC would have had to put up with 269.5 hours of us.  How helpful is it, really, that we know, to the decimal point, total network hours, percentages (subdivided by race, as well; Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives lose serious GLAAD-cred on that point) and year-over-year differentials of GLAAD-approved achievement?  Are we studying stuff now, not because we need to, but just because we can?

I don’t know how much it cost to do all this monitoring, and slicing and dicing of the data, nor how much was spent to produce the 39-page, very glossy report.  But in a world where we have some important and expensive political work to do in (for example) Maine, New York and possibly Washington (and let’s not forget California), is this really the best use of $11 million?  Do we really need GLAAD as an institution any more?  More important, if we ever decided we didn’t, would it be possible to get rid of them?

Conservative Capitulation Cometh? Homosexual activist Mike Signorile tells FOX’s Laura Ingraham that she and everyone who opposes same-sex “marriage” will be supporting it in five years because “the world is changing.” Some influential conservatives like talk show host Mike Gallagher are selling out on the homosexual agenda by embracing “civil unions.”  Americans For Truth rejects such false compromises. We know that the more you give in to homosexual activists, the more they demand. Signorile himself has championed legalized homosexual “marriage” as a “a chance to wholly transform the definition of family in American culture … [and]  the final tool with which to …  get education about homosexuality and AIDS into public schools.”

Day in, day out, Americans For Truth gets bashed by hate-filled bloggers who strangely see themselves as “tolerant.”  Of course, there is the childish name-calling (“Porno Pete”) and the lies (I’m a self-loathing, secret homosexual, you know).  One godless “leatherman” was so angered by AFTAH’s role in exposing and closing down a homosexual “pig sex” orgy in a Washington, D.C. hotel that he posted a piece titled, “Peter LaBarbera Wants to Have Sweaty Mansex with Every One of You”:

Petey…honey….give it up. Just come out already. Yes, yes…you may be hideously unattractive to the vast majority of sighted gay men, but if we can put a man on the moon, we can put a man on you. Yes, even you. If it comes to it, I’ll even kick in for a hooker. But I get to take pictures.

Yes, this is a very ugly business, and homosexual activists routinely resort to mean and dirty tactics in their crusade for sodomy-based “rights.”  But we press on because what is at stake is the very soul of this great nation.  You see, most Americans have no clue that such organized evil as “pig sex” hotel parties and nudity- and orgy-filled “street fairs” like Folsom Street in San Francisco (House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s district) even exist.  And many Americans don’t want to know – just as they choose to remain ignorant of the escalating threat to freedom posed by fanatical “GLBT” (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender”) activists, who selfishly put their newfangled “gay rights” above our historic, religious First Amendment freedoms.  (Just ask the beleaguered Boy Scouts, or New Mexico Christian photographer Elaine Huguenin, whose company was fined $6,638 by the New Mexico Human Rights Commission for “discrimination” because she declined to shoot a lesbian “commitment ceremony.”)

We hear a lot these days about the country’s financial crisis, but the USA has been in a moral meltdown for decades – and perversion movements thrive amidst moral anarchy.  Now self-styled “queer” activists – who for years scolded us for “imposing our morality” – are aggressively pressing the federal government to impose their immorality and preaching at us – as if WE are sinning for standing up for a sex as ordained by God, in marriage!  (Watch “queer” writer Mike Signorile in the YouTube below.)

They who have no shame are scolding us for resisting their sin-based movement.  To paraphrase the Prophet Isaiah, “Good is evil and evil is good” in modern, “tolerant,” post-Christian America.

Some naively thought the homosexual lobby would be appeased by “tolerance” – but they manipulated tolerance to advance an aggressive legal agenda that now seeks to use the government – including public schools – to promote homosexuality as normal and to force people to accept homosexual and transsexual behaviors.  This is public-policy madness and societal suicide, and anybody who purports to defend America’s Judeo-Christian heritage should have no part of such state-sponsored social re-engineering.

Conservatives Capitulating?

But instead of confronting the insanity, the appeasing calls for “compromise” only get louder.  If you want a good indicator of how severe America’s moral meltdown is, just listen to some “conservatives” talk about homosexuality-related issues.  Have you noticed how some key opinion-makers on the Right are now espousing (or willing to consider) “civil unions” as an acceptable compromise on the homosexual “marriage” issue?  (“Civil unions” would grant government recognition to immoral relationships based on homosexuality –– a revolutionary idea that perverts the biblically-informed purpose of government envisioned by our Founding Fathers, i.e., to dissuade and punish sin, by instead rewarding it.)

I recently had the opportunity to confront radio talk show host Mike Gallagher (left) on this issue in person; he seems like a great guy, and I love his brand of “pitchfork” conservatism.  So I was shocked to learn that the likable Gallagher is now  calling for the embrace of “civil unions” as the solution to the “same-sex marriage” debate [contact Gallagher HERE].  And Gallagher is not alone: the list of “conservatives” abandoning principle on this issue grows longer every day: Bill O’Reilly, Dennis Prager, Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, and political pundit Michael Barone (who says the GOP should abandoned the “gay marriage” issue to become a more “upscale” party), to name a few.

Why is it that conservatives who despise compromise on foundational moral issues like abortion – and bedrock issues like guns, taxes and government spending – are willing to sell out on homosexuality? And why have “conservative” opinion-leaders been so reluctant to fight the “gay” activist agenda in general?

Because this is the issue where all the forces of the Left and the media are united and focused, and – as a public leader — it’s hard to stay committed to truth and principle knowing that a tiny but powerful army of homosexual militants will target you as a “homophobe” and a “bigot” — and try to destroy your career — if you publicly disagree with them.  This is precisely what they did to Rick Warren (who appears to be caving), Dr. Laura Schlessinger, and – back in the 1970’s – a brave Christian woman named Anita Bryant.

But selling out is not the answer. It is the farthest thing from “conservative” — and it only encourages the radical bullies to demand more concessions.  Look at how the Homosexuality Lobby has responded to Chamberlain-esque offers of “compromise” in the form of “civil unions.”  GLBT activists are only stepping up their demands for “same-sex marriage” in the name of “equality” – as if two men in a sodomitic relationship (engaging in outside homosexual sex, of course), or two lesbians in a household that is intentionally fatherless could ever come close to God’s natural design of marriage and family.

To my fellow conservatives I plead: get a backbone and start “conserving” God-given sexuality in marriage as a foundational truth that cannot be compromised without destroying societies and undermining God’s moral order.  If you are a Christian, please join me in taking this pledge before God:

“God, I agree with You that homosexual behavior is always sinful.  Any government that promotes homosexual relationships ceases being a government that honors You by rewarding virtue (in marriage).  I pledge to You today that just as I would never abandon truth on the issue of human life and the evil of abortion, I will never make a worldly accommodation with advocates of homosexuality.

“Thank you for helping countless men and women leave the homosexual lifestyle.  Forgive me for not treating the sin of homosexuality as seriously as You do, and also for not reaching out to homosexuals with the hope of the Gospel of Christ – and for not loving them enough to tell them the truth, that they cannot please You while remaining proudly “gay.”  Help me to stand for Truth always on this issue even if it means being attacked by misguided activists who promote human wrongs (sin) in the name of ‘civil rights.’”

If you are not a Christian, try this:

“I pledge to remain principled on the homosexual issue just as I would in defending innocent human life (opposing abortion) or any other moral issue.  I recognize that state-sponsored homosexuality — including ‘civil unions’ — is a radical social experiment that will only lead to pro-homosexuality indoctrination in schools, undermine and cheapen real marriage by rewarding extra-marital behavior, and destroy cherished American liberties by forcing citizens to override their moral conscience.”

Signorile’s Brazen Prediction

From a spiritual and philosophical perspective, I am fascinated by the out-of-control arrogance of homosexual activists.  Watch the end of the YouTube video below of Michelangelo Signorile’s interview with Laura Ingraham, subbing for Bill O’Reilly. Signorile brazenly predicts that Ingraham, a committed Catholic, and indeed everyone who opposes homosexualized “marriage,” will abandon their opposition to it because “the world is changing.”

Few people watching the FOX TV debate would know what we at AFTAH know well: that a revolutionary was hiding underneath Signorile’s conservative-looking suit.  The veteran “queer” activist once wrote that winning legalized homosexual “marriage” would allow “gay” activists to “redefine the institution of marriage completely,” and “radically alter an archaic institution.”

In 1996, Signorile wrote in the homosexual magazine OUT:

“[Legalizing “same-sex marriage”] is also a chance to wholly transform the definition of family in American culture. It is the final tool with which to dismantle all sodomy statutes, get education about homosexuality and AIDS into public schools, and, in short, usher in a sea change in how society views and treats us.”

You see, homosexuality-based “civil rights” — enforced by government — is one of the greatest scams perpetrated on the American people.  Homosexual militants like Signorile are in the vanguard of aggressively undermining America’s Judeo-Christian moral belief system, but even as they demonize Christians, re-write the Word of God, and try to destroy noble groups like the Boy Scouts, they’ve got half the country convinced that they’re the “victims” (thanks to their lackeys in the liberal media and Hollywood).  The truth is, Mike Signorile and fellow GLBT activists are the aggressors, they pose a grave threat to Americans’ liberties, and they are guilty before God and man for helping to “mainstream” behavior which is immoral, unhealthy, unnatural and changeable.

Conservatives should know better than to try to make an accommodation with Big Homosexuality.  That would be like cutting a deal with the Abortion Lobby — say, to ban only partial-birth infanticide — while defending the rest of the abortion agenda as a “woman’s right to choose.”  Conservatives must not limit their goals to defending just “the word” marriage — while ushering in willy nilly the rest of the “gay” agenda.  We must avoid the temptation of promoting one evil (government endorsement of homosexual relationships) as the necessary price to pay for preventing another (same-sex “marriage”).

I cringe every time I hear a “conservative” spokesman talking favorably about homosexual relationships or cavalierly about how homosexuals in this state or that “already have all the benefits of marriage” (due to pro-homosexual laws).  (Some, like FOX’s Margaret Hoover — Bill O”Reilly’s fake “conservative” culture warrior –  now openly embrace full “gay marriage.”)  So often we gladly engage on the homosexual activist playing field, speaking with words lifted from the Gay Dictionary, not understanding that this ensures long-term (and sometimes short-term) defeat.  Besides, every state high court decision imposing “gay marriage” has regarded “civil unions” and other pro-homosexual legislation in that state as the logical antecedent to “same-sex marriage,” not a valid reason to deny it.

We at AFTAH understand that our opponents may be gaining political and cultural momentum — thanks in large part to their media, educational and cultural allies.  But morality is not a popularity contest and their continued ascendancy is not assured.  At one time, pro-abortion feminists thought the battle was largely over and they had won — now look at who’s got the Big Mo’!  Like abortion, the battle over homosexuality in America is a titanic moral struggle, and Americans For Truth will be fighting aggressively and non-apologetically on the side of good until the end.  You have my word on that.  Thank you for helping us with your gifts and prayers.

…. I caught the tail end of the segment on tonight’s Red Eye where Prof. Marc Lamont Hill was lecturing us about “homophobia” – comparing gay sexual content with straight sexual content. So, does the ever-expanding definition of that tendentious term now cover all those who don’t want to see two men kissing on TV, or those who recoil at two guys engaged in “gay” foreplay on the big screen? Then guess what: we’re all “homophobes” now except for a small percentage of homosexuals and straight “progressives.” (Note that use of the latter term is curiously conditional on labeling as “progress” the embrace of aberrant sex linked disproportionately to STDs, including HIV; the CDC reports that a full 71 percent of male HIV cases in 2005 were linked to MSM, or “men having sex with men”: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/msm/resources/factsheets/msm.htm.)

How condescending and pompous of Dr. Hill to peer into each of our hearts and minds and diagnose us with irrational fear (“phobia”). I didn’t see the rest of the segment — could you please post it online? — but please, please, don’t tell me that FOX is now joining the legions of pseudo-moralists who judge anyone who doesn’t celebrate homosexuality or cheerlead for “same-sex marriage” as somehow fearful, bigoted and hateful.

Enough already. Gay sex is wrong, unhealthy (especially between men), and my hunch is it’s still pretty off-putting to most FOX viewers who are honest with themselves. And that’s OK. But I’ll go further: if there is a growing acceptance of homo-sexual behavior, especially among young people, that’s not a good thing but a sign of America’s descent into decadence, and our departure from a transcendent Judeo-Christian moral code that has served this nation well.

Homosexuality and Pedophilia Promotion: “I think it’s a good time for those who voted for the ban against gay marriage to sit and reflect on their great shame, and their shame in their grandchildren’s eyes if they continue that support,” said Oscar-winner Sean Penn. star of “Milk,” in his Academy Award night rant against Prop 8 supporters. Hollywood also gave its top award to “The Reader,” a film about a woman who seduces a 15-year-old boy.

So now it’s come to this: one of the leading men in Hollywood, which has no shame, says Californians who supported traditional marriage by voting in Proposition 8 should have “great shame.” Sorry, Sean Penn: the shame is on you: every Californian who helped Prop 8 pass — overcoming millions of dollars worth of free PR from pro-homosexual-”marriage” Hollywood bigshots like you — should feel tremendous pride, not guilt, in defending and preserving marriage as God ordained it. As usual, the elitists in Hollywood have it completely backwards: it is homosexual behavior that is shameful, not traditional mores. Hollywood Denounces God and Applauds Pedophilia at the Oscars

The Academy Awards showed its support for sexual perversions last night at its annual Oscar ceremony.

And, the Academy wrongly painted the Entertainment Industry as a bunch of Commie rats, as it applauded Communist sympathizer Sean Penn’s gleeful greeting after winning an award for portraying an assassinated homosexual leader, “You Commie, homo-loving sons of guns!”

The Oscar audience applauded madly when Penn, who won Best Actor for his portrayal of murdered homosexual activist Harvey Milk in the movie MILK, angrily chastised voters in California, including 70% of black voters, for having the gall in last November’s elections to support the real definition of marriage.

In a mean-spirited curse, Penn said, “I think it’s a good time for those who voted for the ban against gay marriage to sit and reflect on their great shame, and their shame in their grandchildren’s eyes if they continue that support. We’ve got to have equal rights for everyone.”

In the past, Penn has also expressed support for Hugo Chavez, the Neo-Marxist dictator of Venezuela, and Communist dictator Fidel Castro of Cuba.

The audience also clapped when the winning screenwriter for MILK, Dustin Lance Black, proclaimed his bigotry when he commented, “If Harvey had not been taken from us 30 years ago, I think he would want me to say to all the gay and lesbian kids out there tonight who have been told they are less than by the churches, by the government, by their families, that you are beautiful, wonderful creatures of value, and that no matter what anyone tells you, God does love you and that very soon, I promise you, you will have equal rights, federally, across this great nation of ours. Thank you, God, for Harvey Milk!”

At the beginning of the show, host Hugh Jackman described the message of MILK as, “It’s okay to be gay.”

Of course, Jesus Christ believes otherwise.

“Haven’t you read,” he says in Matthew 19:4-6, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So, they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not tear apart.”

The movie industry also gave an Oscar to Kate Winslet for playing an illiterate escaped Nazi war criminal and pedophile who repeatedly seduces a 15-year-old boy.

Even though she played a pedophile, Hollywood decided that Kate Winslet finally deserved to get an Oscar for her performance in THE READER.

Earlier in the evening, actress Marisa Tomei, who plays a stripper in THE WRESTLER, was applauded for showing that “a stripper doesn’t have to lose her dignity when taking off her clothes.”

The attack on biblical values continued as Meryl Streep was praised for portraying a strict Catholic nun who struggles with herself and the fact that modern times are passing her by.

Later in the telecast, atheist Bill Maher was given a platform to rail against religion when he said, “Someday we’ll have to confront the notion that our silly gods cost the world too greatly.”

Maher and Penn’s statements notwithstanding, statistics show that movies with very strong Christian worldviews like PRINCE CASPIAN and FIREPROOF averaged $43.5 million at the box office while movies with very strong atheist or anti-Christian worldviews like Maher’s RELIGULOUS averaged only $11.2 million and movies with very strong pro-homosexual content like MILK averaged even worse, only $6.3 million.

In fact, the more homosexual content a movie had, the less it earned at the box office, according to MOVIEGUIDE®’s Annual Report to the Entertainment Industry, which examined the Top 250 English-language movies at the box office:

Ten Reasons to Support Americans For Truth in 2009

1. President-elect Barack Obama’s support for radical, pro-homosexual federal “hate crimes” legislation. Will homosexuals rise to the top of the politically correct hierarchy of victims in the United States?  Will pastors who teach correctly from the Bible that homosexual behavior is sinful be brought up as “accomplices” if someone who attends their church attacks a homosexual? All crimes involve hate at some level and all Americans — including homosexuals — deserve equal protection under the law without regard to special criteria.
2. Obama’s support for the Employment Nondiscrimination Act (ENDA), which would use federal power to force businesses to support homosexuality and subsidize homosexual employees’ relationships regardless of their faith- or morality-based opposition to homosexual conduct. Why should homosexuality-based “rights” (mandates) take precedence over Americans’ historic religious and First Amendment liberties?
3. Obama’s call to allow open homosexuality in the military — during wartime no less — and Obama’s promise to use the bully pulpit to advocate other pro-homosexual agenda goals such as homosexual adoption of children.  Will our Commander-in-Chief become the Gay-Propagandist-in-Chief? And what sort of homosexuality-affirming “Christianity” is Obama going to espouse (as he does in his book, Audacity of Hope)?
4. Obama’s pledge to work for the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which was signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1996 and which protects states from being forced to recognize out-of-state “gay marriages.” Mr. Obama: please forget this radical promise and defend marriage as president if you truly believe that it should remain between a man and a woman!
5. Obama’s support for a federal “civil unions” bill – essentially “gay marriage” by another name.  Honoring homosexual unions and rewarding them with government benefits only undermines genuine marriage in society.
6. Obama’s promise to sign the radical “Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which would eviscerate pro-life reform laws across the country that have helped save thousands of innocent unborn children’s lives.
7. The real possibility that the California Supreme Court will invalidate Proposition 8 – passed by the people of that state Nov. 4.  Do citizens’ votes count and do they have a right to stop liberal judges from imposing a radical redefinition of marriage by fiat?
8. Homosexual activists’ intolerance and anti-democratic behavior as exhibited following their loss on Prop 8 in California.  If homosexual militants behave like this now – declaring their counterfeit “marriages” a “constitutional right” and demonizing religious opponents as “hate-filled bigots” analogous to the KKK — imagine the potential for abuse should they gain federal power through passage of federal hate crimes and employment legislation (ENDA).
9. The ongoing, aggressive lobbying by the Gender Confusion Movement. Having learned well from their “gay’” allies, “transgender” activists seek to turn “gender nonconformity” into a legal civil right.  This would include the supposed “right” of a very young boy to come to school in a dress if he thinks he should be a girl.  (Now there’s an agenda item sure to be popular with most parents of school-age children….)  Memo to the Transgender Lobby: women do NOT want biologically-born men (wearing dresses and high heels) with male genitalia in their public restrooms—period.
10. The socially leftist media’s and Hollywood’s increasingly bold and arrogant promotion of all things “gay.”  When it gets so bad that Newsweek magazine runs a cover story positing (out of nowhere) that the Bible supports homosexuality-based “marriage,” the media has lost all perspective on this issue.  They are taking their cues directly from the homosexual lobby — which means increasingly they will be demonizing people of faith as “haters.”  And then they wonder why newspaper and magazine sales are down.  AFTAH will continue to speak out against the media’s and Hollywood’s secular bigotry.

There are many more reasons to support AFTAH but all involve our unshakable commitment to you to defend the truth against the homosexual activist agenda — boldly and without apology. The main question on this issue should not be: “What’s wrong with gay marriage?” or “How does my ‘gay marriage’ affect you?” but rather: “Why are all relationships built around unnatural, changeable, immoral and often unhealthy homosexual behavior somehow deserving of taxpayer-subsidized government recognition?  Or perhaps: “Why is it wise for our government to elevate and reward natural marriage and the mom-and-dad-with-children family over destructive, unmarried and unnatural relationships?”

Gosh, I think Jesus Christ might be reconsidering his endorsement of the divine institution of marriage now that actor Jack Black (playing Jesus in the blasphemous video below) thinks it’s wrong to prevent two guys from getting hitched. I mean, after all, Black is the star of “School of Rock”; what greater cultural authority do we need than that? (Oh, I forgot: Ellen DeGeneres is also mad at Prop 8 — well that settles it: God is wrong!)

Here we have anti-religious bigotry and Hollywood snobbery at its worst. There are a lot of things funnier than this video, but one of them is the idea that a bunch of spoiled Hollywood actors have any moral authority on right vs. wrong, Christian truth, marriage, etc.  Note how money (alleged “gay” tourist $$$ for homosexual “weddings”) tops transcendent morality in the video. The following was reported by the Gay and Lesbian Leadership SmartBrief regarding the California Marriage Protection Amendment, Proposition 8, and the No on 8 homosexual counter-campaign to defeat it (emphasis is added). Patrick Guerriero, a Massachusetts homosexual activist who used to run the Log Cabin Republicans, is now on loan to “No on 8″ from the Gill Action Fund, which has worked to take out Republican pro-family legislators across the nation. All this provides more evidence that Log Cabin, with its tiny membership of 20,000 nationwide, sees its strategic priority as advancing homosexuality first, and the Republican Party second. And what a shocker this: the California Teachers Association and Hollywood elites oppose traditional marriage:

Hollywood, teachers union muster funds to defeat Proposition 8: Barbra Streisand and actor-director Rob Reiner are among the Hollywood celebrities expected to attend a $25,000-a-plate fundraiser to support the “No on 8″ effort on Tuesday at the Los Angeles home of billionaire Ron Burkle. In related news, the California Teachers Association, the state’s largest teachers union, has pledged $1 million to the campaign to defeat the marriage ban, and producer Steve Bing is giving $500,000, the biggest individual donation thus far from the entertainment industry. NEW YORK (AP) – The New York City Opera commissioned Charles Wuorinen to compose an opera based on “Brokeback Mountain,” the 1997 short story by Annie Proulx that became the basis for a 2005 movie that won three Academy Awards.

The opera is scheduled to premiere in spring 2013, City Opera said Sunday. It will be City Opera’s second Wuorinen premiere, following “Haroun and the Sea of Stories,” which was based on a Salman Rushdie novel and opened in October 2004.

“Ever since encountering Annie Proulx’s extraordinary story I have wanted to make an opera on it, and it gives me great joy that Gerard Mortier and New York City Opera have given me the opportunity to do so,” Wuorinen said in a statement.

“Brokeback Mountain” is a cowboy romance about two ranch-hand buddies who start a homosexual affair when they meet on the fictional mountain in 1963.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean today joined Massachusetts Democratic Representative Barney Frank and Wisconsin Democratic Representative Tammy Baldwin in issuing the following Proclamation marking PRIDE Month:

“Today, on behalf of Democrats across America, we join together in celebrating the contributions that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans and their families make to our society ….

“Today, on behalf of Democrats across America, we join together in celebrating the contributions that the following Americans — women who engage in (immoral) sex with other women, men who practice (unnatural and destructive) homosexual behavior, men and women who have sex with both men and women, and men who feel they should have been born as women (even though they have male sex organs) and who like to dress, grow breasts and act like they are women — and their families make to our society ….

“…and reaffirm our Party’s commitment to promoting full equality under the law for every American.

“Full equality” … meaning we will take laws and rights designed to fix racial injustice and apply them to changeable sexual misbehaviors and gender confusion — even if that means trampling over the freedoms of other Americans to disagree with those behaviors.

“Full equality” … meaning not that homosexual/bisexual/transsexual Americans have the same rights under the Constitution as everyone else, but that they get special legal rights and protections based on their practice/embrace of aberrant sex and gender confusion. Ex-gays — men and women who leave the homosexual lifestyle — lose such special rights. (We try not acknowledge such people, who usually join the Religious Right and vote Republican anyway.)

Important clarification on “full equality”: of course, we Democrats do not really mean “full equality” — in the “gay” activist sense of the word — because if we were to embrace full legal “marriage,” even as the Party of Homosexuality, that would hurt our ability to get Democrats elected to office. (It’s OK for retired Democrat politicians like Al Gore (at right) to back “gay marriage.”) And so we embrace “civil unions” — which are pretty much “same-sex marriage” by another name — for the time being.

In the same way that we continually profess to be “against abortion” (while supporting full legal abortion-on-demand at all stages of pregnancy, even for partial-birth abortions that are really infanticide), we mustn’t as a party move too fast on homosexuality and transsexuality — lest rank-and-file Democrats catch on to our radicalism and vote Republican. So give us a few years — after our friends in the corporate world, media and Hollywood soften up America a bit more — and then we promise to cave in completely to the Pro-Sodomy, Pro-Gender-Confusion Agenda.

“As leaders of the Democratic Party, we stand proudly with the LGBT community and commit ourselves to working together to build an America that is truly inclusive.

When we say “inclusive,” we do not mean inclusive of pro-family Democrats who oppose sodomy-based, counterfeit “marriage” and homosexuality-based “special rights.” After all, the GLBT wing of our Party has made it clear that far from being “pro-family,” these Democrats are actually hateful, homophobic, prejudiced Neanderthals who desperately “cling to their Bibles” to uphold their narrow-minded bigotry. So, although we throw them an occasional bone or two — and of course allow them to profess their “pro-family” credentials to their backwater constituencies — we Democrats will be about as “inclusive” toward our social conservatives as we are toward pro-life Democrats.

Our (two-faced) Diversity & Inclusion Strategy can be cumbersome to administer: for example, we must reject most requests from so-called “pro-life” (that is, anti-women’s-right-to-choose) Democrats who continually pester us for a primetime speaking spot at Democrat presidential nominating conventions. This is something we simply cannot allow lest we alienate our progressive, pro-choice, feminist and lesbian party members.

“Every American has the right to live in dignity, with equal rights, responsibilities and protections under the law.

By “dignity” and “equal rights,” we of course mean only for the babies who happened to have survived the abortion industry. (We Democrats accord no rights or dignity to innocent unborn children.) The woman’s “right to choose” is preeminent in our Party and we will resist all propagandistic efforts by anti-abortion zealots to remind our constituents that the unborn child has no “choice” whatsoever as to whether or not he or she gets killed through abortion.

As for committed Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and others who act on their sincere religious belief that homosexual behavior is sinful, we implicitly encourage all campaigns to label these Americans as “homophobes, haters and bigots” (except in more conservative districts where we need the votes of these people to beat Republicans). At times we as a Party will cynically use people’s opposition to homosexuality for political gain. At the same time, we will make cynical insinuations to the media that “fundamentalist” Republicans are the modern moral equivalent of racists because … well … that’s what our powerful GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) party members and donors tell us to do. And our GLBT donors like Tim Gill give the Democrat Party lots of money and help in beating Republicans.

“These are our country’s and our Party’s core values.

As Democrats, we must never stray from our core social values (we’ll pretend they are the nation’s): the protection of abortion-on-demand right up through the end of pregnancy (and even for babies “born alive” through botched abortions), and the celebration of homosexuality, bisexual and transsexuality – using all available governmental power to impose both on America.

Concurrently, we must always take pains to express our religiosity, stressing that Christians, too, can support “choice” and “GBLT equality.” We have learned to rely on Evangelical consultants for guidance on which “Christian-sounding” words to use to appeal to Christian voters, even as we pursue anti-Biblical policies. (We are told that it is best not to use actual Biblical references when trying to justify these positions — except taking “Judge not lest you be judged” (Matthew 7:1) out of context. A far more effective rhetorical strategy is to keep talking euphemistically about rights, equality, discrimination, choice, tolerance, etc. These words intimidate good-hearted but naive Christians from actually examining our Party’s social record.

Across the country, at every level of government, we Democrats have championed legislation that for the first time in history accords legal rights based on unhealthy sexual misbehavior — conduct revealed by the God of the Bible (never use that phrase) to be “detestable” and which is proscribed throughout recorded human history. (We must remember that the Bible, like the Constitution, is an evolving document; never use the phrase “absolute truth.”)

And even though, due to political correctness, people who identify as “gay” are becoming in many areas the least likely Americans to fired (they are now recruited by major firms and universities based on their homosexual self-identification), we as Democrats are embracing “sweeping” pro-homosexual legislation that will likely trample on the rights of traditionalists who believe homosexuality is wrong. (Do not remind Americans of the Boy Scouts unless in a liberal, big-city environment like Philadelphia, where harassing and demonizing the Scouts is seen as progressive.) We know these stubborn bigots will likely vote Republican anyway, and we are counting on our many friends in the media not to give such cases much publicity. Democrats must continue to extol “faith, family and freedom” even as we support legislation at the federal and state level that directly undermines all three.

On that subject, we strongly support the federal ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act) bill — which will be a tremendous boon for our party’s liberal lawyers constituency. ENDA would force all but America’s smallest businesses to adhere to a pro-homosexual orthodoxy at the threat of potential “gay” lawsuits. (Remember that many entrepreneurs vote Republican anyway.) We as Democrats must avoid at all costs questions like the following: Under ENDA, would a Muslim-owned day care business (not tied to a mosque) have the right NOT to hire homosexuals?

Regarding housing “discrimination,” we Democrats know full well that is there is no homosexual housing crisis. Far from it. In fact, in some homosexual enclaves, there is a reverse redlining of sorts by which heterosexual homeowners feel excluded by homosexuals who manage to fill neighborhoods with nothing but “gay”-owned houses. And homosexuals travel abroad at rates higher than the average American.

We must continue to obfuscate on the fact that homosexuals as a group never faced economic deprivation like our African-American party members even though they are stealing the Civil Rights model to advance their pro-homosexual agenda. Avoid at costs cases like [Americans for Truth Board Member] Matt Barber and Crystal Dixon — who were fired for opposing homosexuality and, in the case of Dixon, an African-American, for disputing our liberal “diversity” dogma equating homosexuality with civil rights. Never say the words “Crystal Dixon”: we are counting on the mainstream media’s non-interest in this story to help her case against the University of Toledo die a slow death.

Let us re-double our efforts to affirm that our Party’s pro-homosexuality agenda has something to do with the historic, noble Black civil rights movement when in reality we know that African Americans strongly resist such notions. Carefully avoid calling African-Americans “bigots,” as some overzealous GLBT and progressive Democrats are wont to do, as this message plays poorly to African-Americans and the media.

We as Democrats support legislation that gives marriage-type benefits to non-marital relationships: both straight couples — the ones the Religious Right Republicans say are “living in sin,” who are unwilling to make the marital commitment — and homosexual “partners” whose immoral couplings (some bigots claim) should not subsidized and rewarded by government.

Many hateful Religious Right propagandists — selectively quoting our Founding Fathers — claim that the purpose of government from a traditional (Biblical) perspective is to discourage sinful conduct through the law (e.g., punish “sins”). We Democrats, our progressive minds expanded by years of Social Left advocacy, (and by pandering to wealthy GLBT special interests), have grown beyond these antiquated notions — actually flipping them on their heads.

We Democrats happily advocate the use of government to reward non-marital arrangements. Personal rights are preeminent. We advise candidates to champion marriage on the campaign trail but then to undermine it with the help of our GLBT friends in Washington, D.C.

We Democrats will continue to seek ways to provide wayward citizens further incentives to practice destructive and sinful sexual behaviors — ultimately to the harm of children who will have even a greater chance to be placed in homosexual-led households where they will be denied (intentionally) the blessing of either a mom or a dad. Special Note: avoid discussing “gay adoption” on the campaign trail as this concept still rankles many Bible- and Koran-toting Americans adhering to idealistic, Norman Rockwell-esque notions of mother-father parenthood and the so-called “traditional family.”

“… gender identity or expression, and hate crimes.

Though as stated above we Democrats do not recognize even the right to life of some in our human family, we do favor the creation of new and creative legal “rights” based on what some transphobic Republican bigots call gender confusion — men and women who choose to live their life as if they were a member of the other sex. “Gender identity” is a far more accurate term for this healthy phenomenon, but we must as a Party tread carefully on this issue as American transphobia is far more virulent — even among minorities — than homophobia. (Biphobia is also very potent.)

With this reality in mind, we must keep men in dresses and high heels far from Democratic campaign events and relegate our transsexual (like homosexual) Democrat convention speakers to daytime or late-night, non-primetime TV times. We also understand that the “T” in the homosexual/bi/trans’ agenda’s “GLBT youth” equation stands for “transgender,” but highly recommend that any discussion of transgender youth — e.g., boys going to school in a dress — be avoided until America “grows” as a nation and sheds its many prejudices. In fact, we advise that all discussions of GLBT youth be avoided — except in Democrat strongholds like Massachusetts — until further guidance from the Party.

“Despite all we have accomplished, our work is not done. We need to fight efforts to write discrimination into our laws and constitutions.

This is the Gayspeak we use to say that we as Democrats oppose all efforts by American citizens to actually preserve the age-old definition of marriage as between a man and a woman. Curiously, we do this while we continue to proclaim that we oppose same-sex “marriage,” knowing that our GLBT allies are working day and night to radically redefine it. (The ends justify the means for us progressives.) We realize that the our blatantly heterosexist GOP opponents — who shamelessly exploit pro-marriage referendums for political gain — will say that the Democrat Party has slipped so far in kowtowing to homosexual activists that they now regard people rising up to protect marriage as “discrimination.” But that doesn’t matter, as long as the American people fail to catch on to the truth that the same “discrimination” rhetoric we use to bludgeon Republicans could also be applied to historical American efforts to ban polygamy in this country.

For the most part, our Democrat “gay marriage” strategy is simple: claim we are for defending marriage while we play dumb and enable our GLBT activist party members and activist judges to destroy its meaning. This strategy depends heavily on media non-interest and pro-homosexual reporting.

“We need to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, pass the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Act, and repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’

[See ENDA comments above.] Such is our determination as Democrats to advance LBGT equality (read: do the bidding of the radical Homosexual Lobby) that we will even attempt to force homosexuality into the armed forces, during wartime no less. We regret that ignorant, Republican-sympathizing homophobes will charge that we Democrats are moving America toward the ‘Criminalization of Christianity’ — by supporting legislation like ENDA that will make it illegal for business owners and everyday Americans to live out their religious and moral beliefs about homosexuality. But that’s OK: we’re the Party that takes in the massive “gay” donations — while the homosexual Log Cabin Republicans are still years away from dominating their party (but making headway fast thanks to enlightened Republicans like Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger).

We Democrats also favor hate crimes laws despite the exaggerated claims of anti-gay bigots like Gary Glenn and Chuck Colson who accuse us of creating a legal hierarchy of victims so that some victims — say, people practicing homosexuality or — receive more and better law enforcement protection than others — say, average heterosexual guys. Moreover, such hate-mongering homophobes falsely accuse us of moving toward the suppression of “hate speech” — as if we Democrats would ever squelch the ideas of our opponents [see point above on our Party's commitment to "inclusion"].

“We need a comprehensive, science-based strategy for combating HIV/AIDS.

Now, when we say “science,” that does not include the prudish Republican-Christian-Right-inspired idea of a governmental study on the health risks homosexual behaviors — e.g., anal sex and other male-on-male sodomies. Sure, there is ample evidence that certain behaviors fuel HIV and other the sexual diseases. (The CDC reports that in 2005, “men who have sex with men” (MSM) accounted for 71% of all HIV infections among male adults and adolescents” (http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/msm/resources/factsheets/msm.htm.) But we must be practical: some science hits too close to home and we can’t risk alienating our wealthy “gay” Democratic base. So we as Democrats vow to perpetuate the national charade that pretends that AIDS is a disease that “doesn’t discriminate” when it clearly does. (See notorious Michigan homophobe Gary Glenn’s handiwork: “AFA-Michigan, AFTAH Welcome Gay Task Force Admission: ‘HIV Is a Gay Disease.’“)

“We must address the socioeconomic problems, including poverty and limited access to health care, that increase vulnerability to this disease.

Read: we’ll do anything but deal honestly with the actual behaviors causing the spread of HIV/AIDS in America: homosexual behavior (men having “sex” with other men) and IV drug abuse.

“To do all of these things we need to put a Democrat in the White House, expand our majorities in Congress, and elect more Democrats at the local and state level across the country. To do that, we need you. Get active, get involved, and join us so we can take our country back.”

No comment. (We can’t.)

JUDICIAL ACTIVISM AT ITS WORST: This will always be immoral. California’s highest court has created a “fundamental” marriage right out of behavior — homosexuality — that is fundamentally wrong and destructive. At left is a homosexual male kissing scene as it appeared on the CBS soap “As the World Turns.” Everywhere Americans turn — TV, media, schools, in corporations and the courts — this unhealthy and immoral behavior is being promoted.

California’s highest court has just invalidated California’s Proposition 22, creating a legal “fundamental” right to homosexual so-called “marriage” out of thin air, under the guise of equal protection. We’re reading the 172-page decision — available at http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/opinions/documents/S147999.PDF — now, but as we suspected, the court’s majority made use of the fact that in California, homosexual couples already have been given most of the same rights as normal couples — including the right to adopt children.

Footnote 72 on page 117 of the California decision is key:

Contrary to the contention of the Proposition 22 Legal Defense Fund and the
Campaign, the distinction in nomenclature between marriage and domestic partnership cannot be defended on the basis of an asserted difference in the effect on children of being raised by an opposite-sex couple instead of by a same-sex couple. Because the governing California statutes permit same-sex couples to adopt and raise children and additionally draw no distinction between married couples and domestic partners with regard to the legal rights and responsibilities relating to children raised within each of these family relationships, the asserted difference in the effect on children does not provide a justification for the differentiation in nomenclature set forth in the challenged statutes.”

In other words, by creating an expanding array of rights based on immoral and unnatural behavior, California’s politicians paved the way for this arrogant ruling. We must return to principled public policy opposing the creation of ALL newfangled rights based on changeable, immoral and deviant sexual behavior. Homosexual so-called “marriage” is wrong because homosexual behavior is wrong. To illustrate how far afield our culture has drifted — from God, decency and common sense — consider this question:

How will homosexual California couples — say, two men — consummate their “marriages”?

Kevin and Scotty will exchange vows on the season finale of ABC’s Brothers and Sisters Sunday night. And the actor who plays “Kevin,” Matthew Rhys, told USA Today, “It’s all very progressive, evolved and about time.”

In a story about the atypical TV wedding, USA Today’s reporter William Kleck mentioned that the show is “liberal leaning” but “does attempt to recognize those who oppose gay “marriage” by introducing Scotty’s parents, who skip the ceremony. That volatile relationship is expected to be explored in Season 3.”

Kleck also mentioned that another character’s children will witness the gay commitment ceremony and the actress who plays the mom hopes viewers won’t “have a problem with that.”
