NBC is again showing its antipathy for journalism and the First Amendment.  Their utter disdain for truth and equity is showcased in a pathetic apology made by e-mail April 3rd for airing a carefully-edited audio version of a 911 call placed by Florida neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, who shot Trayvon Martin to death in February:

“During our investigation it became evident that there was an error made in the production process that we deeply regret,” NBC News said in Tuesday’s statement. “We will be taking the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future and apologize to our viewers.”

NBC’s edited version of 911 call:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.

Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he white, black or Hispanic?

Zimmerman: He looks black.

This is a lot more than a simple “error on the production process.” This is a purposeful omission to batter-ram NBC’s agenda on the American people.

I recall my own personal experience with Rachel Maddow and MSNBC (a branch of NBC), explained in the video below. Maddow took out an entire minute out of the center of a comment I made on my radio program, “The Sons of Liberty.” She turned my statement that Muslims (in Washington, D.C.) were calling for the execution of homosexuals to mean that I was calling for their execution as well. She failed to report that not only once, in August 2010, but again in May 2011 — heightening the accusation and removing my disclaimer in her second report.

Rachel Maddow disparaged my name, my profession, and my religious beliefs in an outrageous and shocking display of malicious intent to destroy my reputation, my ministry, and my mission to “reshape America by re-directing the current and future generations both morally and spiritually through education, media, and the Judeo-Christian values found in our U.S. Constitution.”

The repercussions of NBC/MSNBC’s false, reckless and criminal reporting — in both the Zimmerman case and mine — has led to death threats, the posting of home addresses online, and the endangerment of innocent lives.

Why would NBC do something like this? In this day and age, could the press be a means to make a story exist that fits its own agenda…no matter what it might cost others?

These pre-meditated attacks must be confronted head-on lawfully — and I intend to do just that for our posterity’s sake. Enough is enough.

We Republicans have often found ourselves on the wrong side of civil rights struggles since the 1960s, but there was a reason that Martin Luther King, Jr.’s father is said to have supported Republicans.

Republicans were historically the party ever-expanding freedom to disenfranchised minorities, from newly liberated slaves to giving women the right to vote. Susan B. Anthony was a Republican. By supporting the [pro-homosexuality American Foundation for Equal Rights trial against California's Proposition 8 upholding traditional marriage as between a man and a woman] we have an opportunity to establish our historic credibility on civil rights issues once again. But we should support marriage equality because it is the right thing to do.

Gays and lesbians are our friends, neighbors, doctors, colleagues, sisters and brothers. Does it sit well with you that because of their sexual orientation, a factor outside one’s control, that they should have less rights and protections in the eyes of the law?…

That’s why the Supreme Court, in 1967 Loving v. Virginia, legalized interracial marriage –six years after our current president was born to an interracial couple. At that time 73% of the population opposed “miscegenation.” How long would it have taken to change popular opinion, for the minority to democratically win their constitutional rights? As Martin Luther King, Jr. famously asserted, “Justice delayed is justice denied.”

The September 29 debut of “WEDDING Pride” by News Corp.’s Community Newspaper Group has drawn fire from both homosexual supporters, who have slammed the move as a transparent case of financial opportunism, as well as conservatives concerned about what the move says about the future of News Corp and Fox.

“It has come to my attention that News Corp, parent company to virulently homophobic Fox News and NY Post doesn’t apparently hate the gays enough to not make a buck off them, if the opportunity presents itself,” quipped one writer on the liberal Daily Kos blog.

Peter LaBarbera of Americas for Truth about Homosexuality said, however, that “Conservative and faith-based Americans do not look to Fox to promote sin.”

“And yet, every time Fox promotes homosexuality, that’s exactly what they’re doing; they’re promoting bad morality.”

“I think the problem is Fox News is based in New York City, which is a gay Mecca,” he said, noting that while other news networks devoted considerable time to reporting on a New York Senate vote to legalize homosexual “marriage,” the cable news channel devoted zero segments to the vote or to the governor signing the measure into law.

WEDDING Pride is to be a high-end, glossy publication and is to have an initial distribution of 35,000 in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Ad prices in the magazine are to range from $850 for a quarter page to $3,120 for a back cover.

Concerns about the direction Fox News was taking in regard to homosexual issues were also raised in 2006 when the news agency was listed as a “Feature Level” sponsor of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) annual convention after donating $10,000 to the event.

LaBarbera expressed to LifeSiteNews his fear that Fox News may “go neutral” on social issues.

“People expect Fox to avoid the typical liberal media bias on issues like homosexuality,” he said. “Already, Fox supports the NLGJA, and frequent Fox Bill O’Reilly guest Margaret Hoover is a strong advocate for homosexual ‘marriage.’”

LaBarbera said that there is reluctance on the part of most Fox News programs to treat the homosexual agenda as a serious threat to religious freedom.

““We certainly hope that News Corporation’s support of homosexual ‘marriage’ does not presage a tilt by Fox News in that direction,” he said.

Ex-lesbian Janet Boynes was shown in the ABC piece by investigative reporter Brian Ross, but he did not "investigate" her story of leaving lesbianism with God's help.

Folks, it sure didn’t take long for the liberal media to go into Christian-bashing mode against GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.). Watch this almost comically biased hit-piece by ABC’s Brian Ross — featuring the militantly anti-Christian homosexual organization Truth Wins Out. (TWO denies the reality that people can leave homosexuality behind; I call them “Focus on the Failures” because their nonsensical argument seems to be that since many practicing “gays” fail in their quest to change, transformation away from homosexuality is a myth.)

Incredibly, ABC even went so far as to title its piece “Pray Away the Gay at Bachmann Clinic?” — recycling TWO founder Wayne Besen’s mocking and bigoted attack-slogan for the idea that people can overcome homosexual desires through faith in God. Shouldn’t it have occurred to Ross to sit down with and interview a SUCCESSFUL former homosexual like Janet Boynes, who:

1. lives near Minneapolis, where the Bachmanns’ counseling clinic is located;
2. was mentioned in the story — the undercover TWO “investigative reporter” ominously cites a copy of Janet’s book, “Called Out,” endorsed by Dr. Bachmann;
3. is a happy FORMER lesbian who endeavors to help others out of homosexuality, and who credits God for the power to change?  

We confirmed that no ABC reporter contacted Boynes for their story on the Backmann clinic. I don’t have much hope of changing ABC [but you can contact them HERE]; they and most of the secular “mainstream” media are for all practical purposes a part of Gay Inc. at this point. Media Guns Fire Blanks at Bachmann

Once a greatly feared investigative reporter, Brian Ross has been reduced to recycling left-wing material from the homosexual lobby. But the pathetic hit job he narrated on Monday’s ABC Nightline show on GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has backfired in a big way. The charge was that the Bachmann family counseling service engages in terrible things by teaching homosexuals how to leave their disease-ridden lifestyle.

Ross called this method of counseling, which emphasizes religious conversion, “highly controversial” and said it “could become a campaign issue.” Ironically, however, he presented evidence that ex-homosexuals do in fact exist

It is a sign of the dominance of the homosexual lobby in the media business that such a program would even be aired. The upcoming National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association convention features “Today” show co-anchor Ann Curry and CNN’s Don Lemon as keynote speakers.

The ABC piece, “Michele Bachmann Clinic: Where You Can Pray Away the Gay?,” was constructed in such a way as to suggest that ex-homosexuals are non-existent, even though the Brian Ross report itself noted the presence of books by a “self-proclaimed ex-lesbian” in the counseling center. A video from the ex-lesbian, Janet Boynes, was even shown briefly on the air. This was supposed to be shocking.

Of course, the notion of the Bible condemning homosexual behavior, reflected in several passages, was viewed as bizarre and intolerant.

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth says the phrase, “pray away the gay,” is intended to ridicule Christians and comes directly from homosexual activist Wayne Besen’s group, Truth Wins Out. LaBarbera asks, “Why are the major media repeating these hateful attack slogans by radical gay activists?”

He explains, “We don’t mock the idea of leaving drug addiction or alcoholism with God’s help. Why is it acceptable to mock faith in God to overcome unwanted behaviors like homosexuality in their lives?”

“Wayne Besen’s thesis is that ex-gays don’t exist,” noted LaBarbera. But Janet Boynes is a real person and absolute proof that one can leave the homosexual lifestyle.

Perhaps without realizing it, Ross has presented evidence of the homosexual “change” that he was trying to discredit.

“The homosexual lobby simply can’t deal with the reality that ‘gays’ can change (usually with God’s help),” LaBarbera adds. His group recently hosted an event with another ex-lesbian, Linda Jernigan.

To make matters worse, the ABC hit piece was largely recycled leftist material. Ross borrowed heavily from Truth Wins Out (TWO) and an article in The Nation magazine, in order to concoct the shaky story.

Since the segment was light on anything truly horrifying, he used film footage from a Truth Wins Out operative who had secretly taped a counselor for the Bachmann service. This had the effect of making everything look sinister. The apparently shocking advice to the undercover homosexual operative was that heterosexuality is natural and homosexuality is not. This is what passes for “investigative journalism” these days.

“ABC’s Brian Ross did a terrific job with this Nightline segment…” declared TWO executive director Wayne Besen.

As such, Ross can expect to be nominated for an award from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), which honors pro-homosexual coverage.

The Brian Ross hit piece follows an attack on the popular Congresswoman by Matt Taibbi in Rolling Stone magazine,”Michele Bachmann’s Holy War,” where he smeared Bachmann as “a religious zealot whose brain is a raging electrical storm of divine visions and paranoid delusions.”

Blogger Trevor Loudon disclosed that Taibbi was the recipient of an award from the Democratic Socialists of America in Boston for his hard-left reporting.

Loudon commented, “Maybe Matt Taibbi should tell us about his own true beliefs. I’m betting he is not as open about his own convictions as Michele Bachmann is about hers.”

Gold medalist resigns, thanks to pro-’gay’ criticism

Pressure from homosexual activist groups has compelled the head of the 2012 U.S. Olympic gymnastics team to quit.

Two-time gymnastics gold medal winner Peter Vidmar has resigned upon receiving harsh criticism from homosexual and lesbian athletes and activists, who complained that he had donated $2,000 to promote California’s Proposition 8, which defines marriage as between one man and one woman.

“I wish that Peter Vidmar had not resigned,” laments Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH). “I wish that he’d stood up for his right to defend marriage, and I wish that he’d forced them to fire him if that’s what they were going to do, because that would engender the sort of national discussion that we need against this escalating intolerance against…opposition to gay marriage.”

And he disagrees with openly homosexual Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir, who describes Vidmar’s position on marriage as “disgraceful.”

“How dare he seek to marginalize Peter Vidmar, who simply stood up for his beliefs,” LaBarbera contends. “Most people believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. The radical redefinition of marriage still does not have majority support in this country, despite the huge media blitz in support of it.”

The AFTAH president concludes that the homosexual movement is clearly “seeking to intimidate people into silence, and we’ve got to stand up to their bullying.”

Maggie Gallagher, chairman of the National Organization for Marriage, does not fault Vidmar for his decision. She told CitizenLink that the Olympic medalist’s entire career and livelihood were at risk when the “gay rights movement decided to go after him.” Vidmar, she points out, is currently one of the leading corporate motivational speakers in America.

CHICAGO, Illinois — Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), today assailed the blatant hypocrisy of GLAAD, a homosexual “anti-defamation” organization, for giving an award to Joe Jervis – who runs a viciously anti-Christian blog.

GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) gave its 2011 Media Award for “Outstanding Blog” to Jervis, a New York-based homosexual atheist and creator of the blog “Joe.My.God.” – a daily compilation of homosexuality-related news. JMG is filled with name-calling and nasty barbs directed especially at religious conservatives who oppose homosexuality.

GLAAD holds itself up as the arbiter of tolerance and recently announced its partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers to create “positive,” pro-homosexual messaging in the wake of Kobe Bryant’s use of an anti-homosexual slur during a game.

Jervis calls former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum "Frothy Mix" -- repeating the smear of another homosexual cyber-hater, Dan Savage. The latter was upset at then-Sen. Santorum's comments critical of a Supreme Court decision against sodomy laws -- so he "re-defined" Santorum's last name as the vile by-product of sodomy. But if GLAAD, like AFTAH, is against hateful name-calling (AFTAH has condemned Fred Phelps of “God Hates Fags” notoriety), then it is curious that it chose to honor Jervis – who routinely mocks Christians using cruel, de-humanizing rhetoric. For example, Jervis routinely uses the atheist term “Jeebus” in the place of Jesus to mock Christians, as he did recently with African-American ex-lesbian Linda Jernigan.

Jervis delights in referring to former Senator and potential GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum as “Frothy Mix” – repeating a malevolent smear concocted by another Christian-bashing homosexual activist, Dan Savage, who meanly “redefined” Santorum’s last name as the filthy byproduct of anal sex.

Said LaBarbera: “GLAAD’s slogan is ‘words and images matter.’ We at AFTAH agree. Jervis’ published words reveal him to be an inflammatory, anti-Christian bigot who resorts to ‘defamatory’ smears, lies and despicable, crude putdowns to belittle people of faith. (Jervis smears LaBarbera as “Porno Pete,” falsely implying he is homosexual.)

FOX News "Red Eye" host Greg Gutfeld joked that AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and other pro-family advocates are secret homosexuals (our meetings are "shirtless"...) because they oppose homosexual activism as immoral. Gutfeld called AFTAH and other pro-family groups "gay-haters."

Folks, you know it’s a bad sign for the future of a “conservative” network like FOX News when a homosexual atheist and anti-Christian bigot like Evan Hurst joyously circulates a Fox News program segment — as AFTAH-hating Hurst did in highlighting FOX News’ Red Eye’s recent hit-piece against AFTAH.

Yes, I said FOX News. In the YouTube below, Greg Gutfeld, host of the late-night show ”Red Eye,’” tees off on Americans For Truth (and Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America) as “gay haters” using all the liberal, elitist talking points on homosexuality (including that yours truly and other opponents of the pro-homosexuality movement are secret homosexuals ourselves).

Note how FOX analyst-lawyer-babe Kimberly Guilfoyle — ex-wife of San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom — joins the fray, laughing at and agreeing with Gutfeld’s putdowns, and arrogantly dismissing the pro-family boycott of CPAC (the Conservative Political Action Conference). Dear Readers, once again we see the Left and the pro-homosexual media (which too often are one and the same) conflating disagreement with homosexual behavior with “hate.”  Chicago-FOX News went to elaborate lengths to “expose” AFTAH is a “hate group” — per the classification by the left-wing ideologues over at the Southern Poverty Law Center.  But it seems the best they could come up with is that we joked about Congressman Barney Frank and made some common-sense observations about pat-downs by “gay” TSA agents! (If normal male TSA agents don’t frisk women, why should homosexual male TSA agents frisk men, or lesbians frisk women?)

How interesting that FOX Chicago’s “spies” at the recent Americans For Truth banquet came up empty-handed on examples of “hate.”  That’s because our keynote speaker, Ken Hutcherson — who received AFTAH’s “American Truth Teller” award for 2010 — spoke the truth about homosexuality in the love of Christ.  And at the three-day AFTAH Truth Academy, when we discovered that a young man (“Eric”) — a “spy” for homosexual activist Wayne Besen — was recording it against our wishes, we didn’t mistreat him or expel him from the conference.  Instead, a few of our attendees ended up having long conversations with Eric about homosexuality — respectfully hearing his views and sharing our Christian perspective on this lifestyle.  Eric even ended up joining everyone for dinner, and later admitted that he saw no “hatred” for homosexuals at the Academy.

Fox-Chicago News Does Hit-Piece on AFTAH as Alleged ‘Hate Group’

Americans For Truth About Homosexuality was the target of a biased FOX-Chicago TV report last night, pegging off the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) controversial classification of AFTAH, the Family Research Council, American Family Association, Illinois Family Institute, and other mainstream pro-family organizations as “hate groups.” The report – which was really more of a dishonest hit piece — [watch it online HERE] relied on twisted characterizations of AFTAH’s Truth Academy, held at the Christian Liberty academy in August. I don’t know which Truth Academy DePaul law student and FOX source Maria Pahl attended but in her zeal to defame AFTAH she grossly skews what the Academy was all about.

The Truth Academy was three full days of lectures on many aspects of the homosexual activist agenda and its implications for larger society. I think Pahl attended a large part of it, yet here’s how she describes it to FOX, as reported by a website of an atheist high school teacher with whom she was aligned [listen about the two-minute mark HERE]:

“They think that gay people want to force HIV blood into the blood supply, they think that gay people want to recruit straight people, they think that homosexuals have training camps where they’re all taught the same sob story so straight people are sympathetic to them,” Pahl said.

Training camps? AFTAH’s audiotapes of the Academy — including of Cliff Kincaid’s talk, which discusses the continuing FDA ban on “men who have sex with men” donating blood are available to the public, and to FOX [see Truth Academy info HERE]. But rather than examine the veracity of Pahl’s take on the conference (or put her claims in context), FOX ran with her jaundiced and ridiculous description. Sadly, this is what passes for “news” and investigative reporting in Chicago.

Mark Saxenmeyer, the FOX reporter who interviewed me and Christian Liberty pastor Calvin Lindstrom for the story, is himself an open homosexual — which he told me and Pastor Lindstrom during the interview with us for the story. Saxenmeyer said he is not a “gay” activist, but based on our conversation he clearly is a strong advocate of homosexuality. (Saxenmeyer does not reveal his homosexuality on air, which is typical of homosexual reporters working on homosexuality-related stories; the news consumer rarely is informed of the reporter’s “special interest” in stories like these.)

Saxenmeyer mentions the Barney Frank spoof on our website in the FOX story (which AFTAH reprinted from a conservative website) as evidence of “hate.” But if every American who ever told or laughed at a Barney Frank joke — or chuckled at his lisp and mannerisms — was officially labeled a “hater,” then America would be filled with about, I don’t know … 86.5 percent “haters.” (Meanwhile, look at the sheer vitriol heaped on conservatives like Sarah Palin — which is never classified as “hate” by the liberal Left.) Note: the FOX story available for viewing on their website does not include the post-story banter between FOX reporter Saxenmeyer and anchor Robin Robinson, which is perhaps the worst part of the entire presentation. Robinson hones in on the ”hate crimes” angle, even asking if groups like AFTAH could be charged in connection with a separate “hate crime” committed against a homosexual. Saxenmeyer’s response implies that there could be a prosecution if the perpetrator had ties to an alleged “hate group.” The entire discussion — especially Robinson’s comments and body language evincing her uncritical acceptance of the leftist SPLC classification of AFTAH as a “hate group,” — was unprofessional and completely one-sided.

I’m sure Mark Saxenmeyer felt he was fair to AFTAH by including me in the piece, but what is missing was context. The FOX story features the Gay Liberation Network, which we regard as a truly hateful and extremist organization based on the objectively hateful actions of their leaders — e.g., GLN’s acclaiming of U of Illinois’ firing of a Catholic professor; and GLN leader Bob Schwartz telling me at a Chicago protest that if it weren’t for the policemen standing nearby, he would push me into oncoming traffic (Schwartz has never denied making this statement after we reported it; had I said the same to Schwartz, he might have reported my words to those same cops as a potential “hate crime.”)

Says David Smith, executive director of the Illinois Family Institute (also labeled a ”hate group” by the SPLC):

“What is really shocking and telling to me is that in doing this story they interviewed the wildly radical homosexual, anti-police, anti-war Marxist activist Andy Thayer, of the Gay Liberation Network to speak against AFTAH.  The fact that they went to him for a sound-bite really says a lot about their journalistic credibility.”

So Marxists who make veiled physical threats against Christians — and who engage in vicious smears like calling Chicago’s Moody Church a “House of Hate” — are cited as credible news sources, while groups that criticize homosexuality as a “civil right” are “investigated” as “hate groups?”  This sort of heavy-handed media bias helps explain why people of faith so distrust secular reporters, and why so many Americans are turning toward conservative or alternative media outlets to get their news.

It’s hard not to despise the liberal media when they behave like NBC’s Matt Lauer did in this Oct. 11, 2010 Today Show segment – scolding interviewing Republican New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino, who went off the Politically Correct reservation while speaking at an Orthodox Jewish gathering. Sorry to break it to you, Matt, but most parents would not bring their children to a “Gay Pride” parade — especially if they knew what actually goes on there. And no, Matt, homosexuality is not equal to normalcy. (I wish a few politicians had the guts to say so, even when the liberal PC Enforcers like Lauer come after them.) I wonder: what drives straight liberals like Lauer and Jon Stewart to be so obsessed with promoting homosexuality? Media exploits University tragedy

The death of University student Tyler Clementi might have been properly mourned if it were not for the massive rallies and aggressive news coverage that altered the nature of the situation. The truth is that an 18-year-old boy killed himself – he was a student just like the rest of us, someone just trying to receive an education. Yet people’s relentless agendas took his death and turned it into a cause based on false pretenses.

A crowd of more than 20 people ended up lying outside the entrance of the Rutgers Student Center on the College Avenue campus the first night of the news breaking. The chants were, “We’re here. We’re queer. We want safety in our homes.” The mistake was that Clementi’s death should not have been turned into a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender protest for gay rights and safe spaces at the University. Robert O’Brien, Department of Anthropology assistant instructor, led the rally as he chanted, “Not safe in dorms, not safe at Rutgers.” Essentially, an angry mob fending for their rights turned the death of a young boy into a cause for “safe spaces” for gays across the University – all the while, these spaces already existed. We have groups across campus that deal with students’ psychological difficulties – 17 Seconds is one that deals with suicides – as well as groups that address their sexual orientation. We have these spaces, and the University community is diverse enough to provide students with whatever it is they need.

The focal point of Clementi’s tragic death should have been a boy’s inability to deal with the hardships of life. And yet the news and certain organizations picked this up and carried it into the ranks of general causes for major social groups – for their profit. Did Tyler really feel unsafe after all? Do we know the reason behind his suicide? Do we know if he, himself, would take part in the movement behind his death – the push for safe spaces?

It is disappointing that everyone from news to celebrities picked up the story. Actress Brittany Snow and actor Neil Patrick-Harris are just two of the many celebrities belittling Clementi’s death – forcing his remembrance into a cause rather than a proper mourning.

We did not know Tyler. It was barely three weeks into his first year at the University, and most of his neighbors in his residence hall barely knew him. Turning his death into a push for gay rights is a fallacy. Homosexuality is not the only reason for which people kill themselves. In this case, it might have pushed Clementi over the edge, but the fact that he was gay should by no means turn his death into a march for safe spaces. These groups want to be heard. They want the attention. They want their agendas to shine in the limelight.

Instead, we should address that the signs of a suicidal 18-year-old kid were unseen and went unnoticed, not “We want safety in our homes.” We have the safety, or as much of it as we together as a University community can in today’s world. What we need is to notice those of us who need help and help them. Entertainers stay away. O’Brien leave the issue alone. Let us – family, friends and the University together – mourn for Clementi, and just for him, rather than using him as a martyr for a cause that has yet to be proven.

Americans For Truth President Peter LaBarbera interviews young conservative activist Ryan Sorba for this AFTAH Hour program that aired August 21, 2010 [Click HERE to play]. Sorba was an instructor at the AFTAH Truth Academy August 5-7. In this, Part One, interview, he discusses the “born gay hoax” (the title of his unpublished book about the myth of genetic homosexuality) — and how pro-homosexual researchers like Dean Hamer have tried to prove inborn homosexuality have never been able to replicate their research.

LaBarbera relates a bizarre incident about Hamer — who divorced his wife to become a practicing homosexual, and then released his media-celebrated “gay gene” study just in time to affect the Clinton-era ”gays in the military” debate. As LaBarbera tells it, Hamer spoke at a Maryland PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) meeting, which LaBarbera attended (as a critic and reporter for The Lambda Report, the forerunner to Americans For Truth). After the speech, and with a few parents still present, LaBarbera went up to introduce himself to Hamer — who, learning who he was, immediately flew into a screaming rage in which he ridiculously accused LaBarbera of crusading to stalk and “kill” homosexuals.

The very weird spectacle revealed Hamer’s unprofessionalism and a fanatical commitment to radical “gay” politics that certainly called into question his objectivity as a researcher. (No major media, in reporting Hamer’s genetic study, had reported that he was homosexual, much less an unstable ”gay” activist.) Ultimately, Hamer’s “genetic homosexuality” study — which received millions of dollars’ worth of free media publicity and greatly influenced the idea of inborn homosexuality in the public’s mind – could not be replicated. Hamer and his homosexual lover are now activist documentary filmmakers.

Sorba discusses how today’s young people are susceptible to the ubiquitous pro-homosexuality propaganda that now soaks the culture, and how ignorant they are about information that contradicts homosexual activist myths. He expands on natural moral law approaches that undergird biblical morality, and urges a return toward thinking and talking about homosexuality in terms of unnatural behavior rather than LGBT identity.

In this interview (Part One of two), which aired Saturday, July 17, 2010, AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera talks in studio with John McCartney and Wayne Lela – two Chicago men who have a unique “ministry” of going to local Chicago colleges and universities and educating students about homosexuality and “gay” activism. They do this from a pro-natural-family perspective that most young people rarely hear. For that they have been harassed by liberal professors — among other trials — but they persevered and have now gained entry on to all the Chicago-area public colleges, which cannot legally engage in viewpoint discrimination.

In the interview, McCartney discusses the way “brainwashing” works on this issue — censoring negative information about homosexuality while demonizing opponents of the “gay” agenda. In the book And the Band Played On: Politics, People and the AIDS Epidemic, homosexual journalist Randy Shilts documents how homosexual activists originally fought the effort to ban "gay" male blood donations, saying it was discriminatory. This caused a delay in starting the ban, which led to the needless deaths of many innocent people. Shilts himself died of AIDS.

Folks, thankfully, sanity has prevailed and the political attempt to weaken the FDA ban on blood donations from “men who have had sex with men” (MSM) failed in a 6-9 vote Friday by the FDA committee mentioned in Cliff Kincaid’s article below. (Note the American Red Cross’ condemnation of the vote, along with “gay” activist organizations; contact the Red Cross HERE.) I only wish the homosexual activists and their liberal allies (most importantly the CDC) would redirect their energies toward shutting down homosexual bathhouses and sex clubs — i.e., the venues that encourage the anonymous hyper-promiscuity that facilitates the spread of sexually-transmitted diseases. The Battle Over Blood

With the public focused on the calamity of the Gulf oil spill, another disaster that could affect millions of lives is in the making. The federal Advisory Committee on Blood Safety and Availability (ACBSA) is holding meetings on June 10 and June 11 to consider lifting the ban on gay blood.

In this battle, if the gays win, you lose.

Gay activists, who are expected to dominate the proceedings and intimidate federal policy makers, insist that the ban is discriminatory and homophobic and are demanding the “right” to donate blood. The lifting of the ban on gay blood is seen as a necessary prerequisite to lifting the ban on open gays in the military. After all, how can gays be on the battlefield, where they could be called upon to provide a blood transfusion to a fellow soldier, if they cannot legally donate blood?

What this means, if politics is played with the blood supply, is that that the five million Americans a year who receive blood transfusions, in addition to soldiers on the battlefield, could be exposed to the AIDS virus or other infections in the diseased blood of sexually active homosexuals.

Tragically, despite the life and death nature of this issue, news organizations are spreading deliberate lies.

For example, The Desert Sun of Palm Springs, California, reports that “Gay advocates in the Coachella Valley say now is the time to change the ban they consider discriminatory.” It then quoted David Brinkman, executive director of Desert AIDS Project in Palm Springs, as saying, “There is no scientific or medical evidence that supports the need for the ban anymore. All blood is tested twice and there’s 100 percent accuracy to insure no HIV gets into the blood supply.”

I informed Nicole Brambila, the author of the story, that the claim she featured in her story was absolutely false. But she refuses to correct the record.

In fact, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with jurisdiction over the blood supply, says, “Blood donor testing using current advanced technologies has greatly reduced the risk of HIV transmission but cannot yet detect all infected donors or prevent all transmission by transfusions. While today’s highly sensitive tests fail to detect less than one in a million HIV infected donors, it is important to remember that in the US there are over 20 million transfusions of blood, red cell concentrates, plasma or platelets every year. Therefore, even a failure rate of 1 in a million can be significant if there is an increased risk of undetected HIV in the blood donor population.”

This is one reason why gay males, or men who have sex with men (MSM), are prohibited from donating blood.

The FDA also says, “Detection of HIV infection is particularly challenging when very low levels of virus are present in the blood for example during the so-called ‘window period.’ The ‘window period’ is the time between being infected with HIV and the ability of an HIV test to detect HIV in an infected person….FDA’s MSM policy reduces the likelihood that a person would unknowingly donate blood during the ‘window period’ of infection. These critical facts are being carefully omitted from media coverage of the pending change. And because the major media are influenced or intimidated by such groups as the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association and the gay-run Media Matters organization, reporters can find themselves targeted as “haters” and “homophobes” if they tell the truth about the gay lifestyle. As a result, many writers and commentators decide to avoid the topic.

The truth is so sensitive that when the Obama Administration tapped a Washington University professor by the name of Jonathan I. Katz to serve on a scientific panel to review the handling of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, he was immediately attacked because of his article, “In Defense of Homophobia,” on the dangers of homosexual behavior.

As a result of the outcry from the homosexual lobby, Katz was dropped from the panel, even though the article had nothing to do with the Gulf matter. This is how they operate—protest and intimidation. As we recently saw with George Will’s capitulation to the gay lobby, very few conservatives have the intestinal fortitude to go up against them.

Despite the controversial title, the Katz article is well-researched and touches on the gay blood problem, noting that the homosexual activists have been campaigning for a lifting of the ban for several years and that their position is that “In order to satisfy their demand for full acceptance by society, the homosexual movement demands to kill some transfusion recipients by infecting them with AIDS…”

Do you or your loved ones want to die in order to advance the gay rights agenda?

In advance of the Thursday and Friday meetings on blood safety, a federal notice has reiterated that male homosexuals “have an increased incidence and prevalence of several currently recognized transfusion-transmitted diseases”—Hepatitis B virus, HIV, syphilis, and cytomegalovirus.

It also says, “There is a theoretical concern that MSM populations may also be at increased risk for other unrecognized transfusion-transmitted agents.” That means another infectious agent could be lurking in the blood that they want to have the “right” to donate to the nation’s blood supply.

The move to lift the ban is being spearheaded by the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights lobby which contributes to the campaigns of liberal Congressional candidates. It reports “progress” in this effort, based on the fact that Senators John Kerry and Al Franken have done the organization’s bidding and pressured the federal government to hold the June 10 and 11 meetings to consider lifting the ban on gay blood. The FDA commissioner, Dr. Margaret Hamburg, is a political appointee of the Obama Administration.

The pressure campaign has already forced the American Red Cross and two other blood groups to previously argue for lifting the ban. But the FDA, after reviewing the policy in 2006, reiterated the prohibition, which has been in effect since 1983 and applies to MSM since 1977, the beginning of the AIDS epidemic.

Randy Shilts’ book, And the Band Played On, and the movie by the same name that was based on it, documents how gays at that time of the discovery of AIDS and the virus causing it, HIV, were even then arguing that a ban on gay blood was discriminatory. The blood industry was then resisting the testing of the blood, mainly because of the cost.

The result was an unconscionable delay in banning gay blood and the unnecessary deaths of many people.

The gays even objected to the original name for AIDS as GRID, standing for gay-related immune deficiency. Another name for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome,  the “gay cancer,” was also jettisoned because of its obvious association with the gay lifestyle.

Upset at the delay in responding to the dangers to the blood supply, one official of the Centers for Disease Control, reported Shilts, attended a meeting on blood safety and pounded his table with his fist, shouting, “How many people have to die? How many deaths do you need?”

A representative of hemophiliacs, dependent on blood transfusions for their day-to-day survival, objected to all of the talk at the time about the rights of gays not to be discriminated against, asking, “What about our right to live?”

Once again, as we have seen in the gays in the military debate, the gays are constantly screaming about their rights, oblivious to the point of madness about the rights of others. In this case, it’s our right to be free of infected blood when our loved ones get a blood transfusion.

But unless the public quickly offers its comments and raises an outcry with the federal authorities coming under the influence and intimidation of the gay rights lobby, the “right” to donate blood could soon be extended to a politically-connected special interest group that has a demonstrated propensity to acquire life-threatening and deadly diseases.

Folks, note the bias in this Politico article reprinted below reporting the legislative action Thursday on Capitol Hill to end the ban on open homosexuals serving in the military. Perhaps a large part of the reason that many Americans have changed their opinion on “gays in the military” is that they have been bombarded for the past 15 years with biased media treatment of the issue.  (And this Politico article is more “balanced” than most media stories dealing with homosexuality.) I sent Politico reporter Jen DiMascio this short note:

House votes to repeal ‘don’t ask’

The push to end the military’s “don’t ask don’t tell” policy that prohibits gays from serving openly in the military cleared two major hurdles Thursday, with the House backing repeal by a 234-194 vote, while the Senate Armed Services Committee voted 16-12 in favor of that body’s version of the change.

Both repeals, offered as amendments to a defense spending bill, would remove the policy only after the Pentagon completes a study due in December on the impact of the change on the military.

“I will not rest until the repeal of this discriminatory policy that hurts national security is signed into law,” Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-Pa.), the sponsor of the House amendment, said after the vote.

The White House and the Pentagon both approved the compromise in the amendments that allows Congress to act while granting the president, the defense secretary and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff the ultimate authority to implement repeal when they are satisfied that the military’s readiness, recruiting, retention and morale would not be adversely impacted by it.

After the vote, Obama said he was pleased by the move toward repeal. “Our military is made up of the best and bravest men and women in our nation, and my greatest honor is leading them as commander in chief,” Obama said in a statement. “This legislation will help make our a rmed forces even stronger and more inclusive by allowing gay and lesbian soldiers to serve honestly and with integrity.”

The debate leading up to the House vote was heated at times, as Rep. Buck McKeon (R-Calif.), led the debate against repeal. And House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) did her part on to the floor to defend it.

McKeon, who pressed for additional time to debate the measure in floor action, said he strongly opposed the amendment.

“We do have a sacred obligation to those who serve,” McKeon said in a statement after the vote, adding that proceeding before the Pentagon’s review of implementing repeal was through was “[t]he equivalent of turning to members of military and their families and saying that your views don’t count.”

“Passing this amendment today respects the timeline of the Pentagon’s Implementation Study Group. Repeal would take place only after the study group completes its work in December 2010 and after the president, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the secretary of defense all certify that repeal will not hurt military readiness or unit cohesion,” Pelosi said during the debate. “No one in this body would jeopardize our national security.”

The debate in the Senate committee was also “lively,” said Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) the panel’s chairman.

“Today’s action by the Senate Armed Services Committee is an important step to end this discriminatory policy,” [Levin] said.

The amendment was the most-watched part of the Senate Armed Services Committee’s markup of its annual defense bill, which also passed Thursday evening.

Aside from Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), the bill was opposed by the Republicans on the committee and Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.), who explained in a statement that he opposed repealing the ban while the Pentagon is in the midst of reviewing how it should implement the change.

“I see no reason to pre-empt the process that our senior Defense Department leaders put into motion, and I am concerned that many members of the military would view such a move as disrespectful to the importance of their roles in this process,” Webb said.

Thursday’s votes are just one step toward reversing the ban that has been in place since 1993.

The defense authorization bill typically passes with wide margins, but last year was an exception, as many Republicans voted against the bill because it included a hate-crimes provision.

The inclusion of don’t ask don’t tell could set up a similar dynamic this year.

And because the House defied President Obama’s veto threat to hang onto funding for two Joint Strike Fighter engines, the situation is even stickier. With the engine money and don’t ask don’t tell, Obama is caught between promises he has made to his most powerful Cabinet member and his liberal base of support on a landmark civil-rights issue.

The Pentagon is aggressively pushing for a veto.

“We don’t want nor need the extra engine, but this is just one step in a long journey and Secretary Gates is committed to staying engaged in this process the whole way, including if necessary ultimately recommending President Obama veto this legislation,” Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said after the vote.

So, too, is Rep. John Larson (D-Conn.), who supports don’t ask don’t tell repeal but opposes funding for the General Electric engine. Larson said he was encouraged by a strong vote on the amendment and the fact that the Senate Armed Services Committee did not include funding for the engine in its bill.

“I fully expect the President to follow through with his threatened veto of the Defense Authorization Act if the F-35 Extra Engine Program is in the final legislation,” Larson said.

Gay-rights groups, which have been assured by the White House that repeal will work out in the end, immediately hailed the Senate panel’s vote as historic.

“Lawmakers today stood on the right side of history,” said Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese. “This is a historic step to strengthen our armed forces and to restore honor and integrity to those who serve our country so selflessly.”

Aubrey Sarvis, executive director of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, said Congress is the correct branch of government to reverse the policy.

“Chairman Carl Levin, Sen. Joe Lieberman, and Rep. Patrick Murphy showed remarkable courage and steadfastness in the face of unprecedented and inappropriate last minute lobbying by the Pentagon service chiefs. who seemed to have forgotten that they are not the policymakers here,” Sarvis said.

Well, what do you know? Even Modern Liberals trying to create a prototype for a “Modern Family” by mainstreaming Age-Old Deviance (homosexuality) apparently still have to deal with the reality that Modern Americans don’t want to see two men kiss. (Yuck.)

Yes, I was checking out openly homosexual Brit Andrew Sullivan’s blog — upon learning that he agrees with us (from an entirely different perspective) that Elena Kagan should answer the question of whether she is a practicing lesbian — and there it was: the photo above from a Modern Family episode — showing that normalcy is not a dead concept, even among those trying so hard to undermine it.

Opines Sullivan about the photo: ‘The shot is, perhaps, a perfect distillation of where the culture now is on gays: fine but not equal.”

No, Andrew, the photo is a perfect distillation of what’s wrong with Modern Homosexuality: homosexual behavior itself. Sexual perversion can never be “equal” to the natural and normal created order (savvy “gay” sloganeering aside). And a society that sees these two representative TV couples as morally equivalent is a society in serious decline — as the late popular historian Will Durant observed about America back when we as a nation were only beginning our “gay” embrace.

Of course, America is in serious moral decline, as evidenced by the very existence of a primetime TV sitcom that has as two of its main characters a homosexual male couple raising an adopted girl (Modern Motherlessness?). But at least we’re not as far gone as the snooty liberals with their God- and Nature-defying agenda would like us to be. In other words, America has not quite reached the stage of total depravity, but we’re well on our way.

The effort to reprogram Americans’ natural “disgust” factor toward homosexual conduct will go on. The Modern Homosexual Lobby is never satisfied — no matter how many once-cherished norms and religious teachings it succeeds in undermining. But it sure gets tiresome hearing these over-indulged whiners complaining ad nauseam about how their aberrant relationships are not treated “equally” to the normal and natural kind.

How ‘Modern’ does ABC want to be?

This latest “gay” hubbub begs the question: how “modern” is ABC willing to be? Modern enough to throw good money after bad to cater to pro-homosexual progressives? Because if ABC bends to the latest homosexual pressure campaign and starts showing two guys (actors Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Ferguson) making out, you can kiss those Nielsen ratings and “Modern Family” good-bye.

That’s right: homosexual sex doesn’t sell on Main Street, even in 2010.

I wrote about the phenomenon of politically correct liberals remaining squeamish about homosexuality ten years ago in WorldNetDaily after attending a conference by the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (as a critic). Phillip Gefter, a picture editor for the New York Times, recalled how he suggested a series of “benign” photos of homosexual men kissing to illustrate a story on “homophobia” — but his (usually “gay”-affirming) editors and colleagues all “had the same reaction: they claimed that the pictures literally turned their stomachs.”

Nature, it seems, is not easily erased.

Besides, if it’s homosexual reality the GLBT activists want, perhaps they should lobby ABC executives to write a little “outside sex” into the script for their homosexual “Modern Family” protagonists. After all, studies show outside sex is rampant among homosexual male couples, and even Andrew Sullivan himself infamously hailed the “honest” toleration of extracurricular sex as a distinctive and advantageous feature of homosexual couplings compared to straights. Homosexual adoption advocate Dan Savage took it a step further, recommending the gay brand of “nonmonogamy” as a model to married straight couples — and as a potential strategy to lower the divorce rate. (Might want to run that one by some more wives, Dan; most, like mine, wouldn’t be too tolerant of a request for some “outside sex.”)

But the “queer” activists need not worry: injecting too much “reality TV” into Modern Family won’t happen because it would destroy the program’s unstated purpose: to create a moral equivalence in the viewer’s mind between homosexual parenting and the natural, God-ordained, mom-and-dad family that has served humanity quite well for centuries.
