MADRID, Spain–Greetings from the World Congress of Families conference in Madrid!  After a long flight across the Atlantic, I arrived in Spain early yesterday morning and have already spent an amazing day in this beautiful city, discussing cultural developments and strategy with some of the top names in the pro-life and pro-family movement–people I have long admired like Stephen Mosher, Dr. Janice Crouse and Don Feder.

World Congress is put on every year by the Rockford, Illinois-based Howard Center, founded by the prolific scholar Dr. Allan Carlson, himself a national treasure.  Please support the Howard Center, whose work in uniting pro-family advocates from across the world is a blessing.

On Saturday, I will chairing a panel on “Freedom to Educate” – dealing with the escalating threat to parental rights authority posed by neo-totalitarian governments like Sweden’s — which actively persecutes home-schoolers.  Naturally, I will also discuss the homosexualist agenda that somehow translates “nondiscrimination against gays” into ACTIVE DISCRIMINATION against Christians and those who resist the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) agenda in the public square.  This now includes forcing people of faith and even religious schools to indoctrinate impressionable children with pro-homosexual propaganda — as is threatened in Canada. [See this video on Bill 13 in Ontario, Canada -- another attempt by the Homosexual Lobby to hijack the "bullying" issue.]

America: Corrupting the World

Over dinner last evening I heard a comment from a Venezuelan-born journalist, Omar, that shook me.  Omar lives in Virginia but is widely traveled, and observed how on a recent trip to Mexico City he saw something that he said he never would have witnessed just a few years ago: homosexual male lovers walking hand-in-hand down the street and then stopping to engage in a perverted male-to-male kiss right out in the open.  (So-called homosexual “marriage” was legalized in Mexico City in 2009.)

My new acquaintance and I agreed about how to explain this perverse development in once socially conservative Mexico: the tremendous influence of decadent American Culture.  ”People all over the world look to America as a leader in trends,” Omar said.  But just as the USA largely has been a force for international good – and helped rescue so many nations from tyranny — we now have become, tragically, a force for immorality, abortion and perversion.

Untold millions of people in foreign countries watch popular American TV shows, which have become ever more blatant tools of general raunchiness and specifically homosexual and transgender activist propaganda.  (This is precisely the aim of GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination, which holds unchallenged sway in Hollywood and is constantly pushing for more pro-homosexual and pro-transgender characters in TV shows and movies.)  As anyone who has watched TV lately knows, most programs now glamorize homosexuality or work in a “gay” angle (not even subtly) wherever possible.  Remember “Glee’s” romantic kiss between two teenage boys, during primetime (see photo above)?

It’s all part of an orchestrated campaign to normalize the sexual sin of homosexuality.  Thankfully, though GLAAD lobbies against the idea of former homosexuals,  the proof is in that same-sex behavior is changeable, as Omar reminded me by joyfully recounting the story of a Columbian man who nearly died of AIDS after falling into homosexuality.  In his desperation the man, whom Omar interviewed, began reading the Bible, asked God to save him, was reborn through Jesus Christ, said good-bye to the homosexual “deathstyle,” and becaame miraculously free of AIDS and a husband and father to boot. Praise God!

It is bad enough that Americans have grown so accustomed to the barrage of pro-homosexual propaganda emanating from Hollywood and the media that we shrug our shoulders and say that nothing can be done about it.  But how often do we think of a America as a corrupting influence abroad?  Our beloved United States of America, which has been blessed so abundantly by God, is now squandering its creativity and accumulated cultural power to “mainstream” sexual perversion and gender confusion — not only to our our people and youth – but in foreign lands. Where is our collective shame and anger at what the secular-liberal elitists have done to America’s reputation abroad?

A Strange Diffidence

Lastly, I am again struck by the enormous gulf between the international pro-life  groups and leaders that have assembled in Madrid — with their tremendous progress, momentum and cultural influence – and the diffident, ambiguous and defensive posture of groups and pro-life leaders opposing organized homosexuality.  The pro-life movement has palpable energy and confidence — reflected in the myriad of pro-life groups tackling every aspect of the struggle to protect innocent life and reach and heal abortive or potentially abortive women.  It is fantastic to behold and provides much-needed evidence that good can rally against evil (though there is of course much work to be done).

Contrast that with the struggling “movement’ (if you can call it that) of those who are dedicated to the principled cause of defeating the Homosexual Lobby – just like pro-lifers aim to defeat the Abortion Lobby (i.e., without an ounce of guilt or reservations).  Talking with pro-family activists from various countries here at World Congress reveals the simmering divide over how to approach the homosexual juggernaut: some, like me, favor a direct approach on the issue while others believe we should sidestep the “H” debate and instead focus positively on the campaign to protect the definition of marriage.

This is not to say that preserving marriage as between a man and a woman is not a critical priority — but rather that it is only one battle in a much larger war that must be fought aggressively if we have any hope to turn things around as the pro-life movement has.  This necessarily means not just defending our First Amendment “right” to oppose homosexuality, “gay marriage” and gender confusion but systematically tackling these salient issues:

• WHY homosexual and transgender behaviors are always wrong;
• How homosexual sex is fraught with health risks;
• Why homosexuality violates Natural Moral Law, the teachings of Judaism and Christianity and most major religions;
• The realities of homosexual, bisexual and transgender lifestyles, such as the inordinate drug and porn use among homosexual men, and “gay-on-gay” assaults and abuses;
• How the Homosexual Lobby is in the vanguard of mocking and undermine Biblical Truth and all religious tenets that historically have served as the basis for defending sexual purity (in marriage);
• And why State-enforced “gay rights,” e.g., “Sexual Orientation” laws, naturally war against the freedom of citizens — religious or not — to oppose sexual immorality (sin).

Simply put, we as a movement must conquer whatever timidity, fear and political correctness we have in NOT wanting to debate the morality of homosexuality–because our fanatically driven LGBT opponents will never relent in their audacious campaign ”sell” homosexuality to the public.  Notice that while many conservatives shrink from the homosexuality debate, self-described “queer” activists never back-track in their misguided, indeed, pathological quest to compel society to approve of their aberrant “lifestyles.”  And they’ve almost won (thanks in no small part to the media serving as “gay” cheerleaders).

Ignoring the morality of homosexuality and failing to educated people on its myriad of associated evils and destructive consequences — as part of a well-intended strategy to “protect marriage” — would be like arguing the abortion issue by saying: “Lef’s take the humanity of the unborn off the table and focus solely on stopping Partial Birth Abortions….”

Nobody in the pro-life movement would take such a strategy seriously.  Similarly, any effort to jettison the debate over homosexuality and its consequences is fundamentally not serious.  Moreover, it telegraphs to homosexual militants that we are afraid to debate homosexuality. You really can’t defend truth by cutting corners.

More than ever, I am convinced that if we don’t get back to the basics of deconstructing the hydra-headed monster of the Homosexual/Transsexual Lobby and its many lies and myths, we are handicapping our ability to win hearts and minds, especially among young people.  These are the very “brainwashed” souls whose confusion over homosexual issues has led LGBT activists to boast that it is only a matter of time before our noble cause — the defense of historic Judeo-Christian sexual mores, including opposition to homosexuality — becomes extinct.

Fight on, truth warriors!

CHICAGO–Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) President Peter LaBarbera issued the following statement today on President Barack Obama announcing his support for homosexual “marriage”:

President Obama’s embrace of homosexual “marriage” (so-called) is surprising only in its timing. Most Americans do not realize that Obama was FOR homosexual “marriage” years ago as a State Senate candidate in Illinois, before switching to “Civil Unions.” Now this president, like a chameleon changing colors, returns full circle to advocating “marriage” between people of the same sex – as a public Christian, no less.

Obama’s embrace of homosexual “marriage” (an oxymoron) completes his sellout of the American people, and of God, on this critical issue that speaks to issues far deeper than politics.  Many will remember this 2008 presidential debate exchange between then-candidate Sen. Obama and Saddleback Church pastor Rick Warren:

REV. RICK WARREN: Define marriage.

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. (Applause.) Now, for me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union. You know, God’s in the mix. (Applause.)

That solemn affirmation of real marriage helped Obama become president, but four years later it appears to have been a sham –an artful pose intended to convey piety and moderation to gullible Christians. As President, Obama has gone so far as to unconstitutionally refuse to defend the Defense of Marriage Act – passed overwhelmingly by a bipartisan Congress and signed into law by Democratic president Bill Clinton — to help his homosexual activist allies in their “marriage” quest.  Yet they demanded more.

Once again, as he did to justify his support of proud homosexuality (dismissing Romans 1), the president twists Scripture to rationalize his expedient rejection of biblical Truth. With unparalleled chutzpah, the same Obama who called marriage “sacred” now cites the Golden Rule to justify its absurd and revolutionary redefinition to include sexual perversion (homosexuality). It seems precious little is truly sacred to the Left, secular or religious. God cannot bless sin, and no true Christian would confirm others in a sinful lifestyle – one that merits eternal judgment (I Corinthians 6). The good news is that many men and women once trapped in homosexuality have found freedom through the same Christ whose words Obama distorts.

The “evolution” of Obama – and Vice President Joe Biden, and Education Secretary Arne Duncan, and so many prominent Democrats (and libertarian Republicans) – toward accepting “same-sex marriage,” is really a story of the corruption of modern liberalism and, indeed, America’s slide into moral decadence. The chattering classes dwell obsessively on politics – and certainly Obama’s capitulation was driven by pressure from his well-funded “gay” activist base. But America’s precipitous moral decline – represented by the slow, and then rapid, embrace of evil (organized sin) by its leaders –tells a more important story: America is losing its goodness because we are leaving God behind.

Yesterday, Barack Obama used his bully pulpit to hasten America’s slide into oblivion (sexual immorality accompanies the decline of civilizations). The LGBT cheerleaders otherwise known as the media love him all the more for his trendy defection. But how Republicans and everyday Americans — especially Christians — respond to Obama’s moral treachery will say a great deal about whether there is any hope left for this nation that professes to be “under God” even as it brazenly rejects Him.

Two Manly Men in Maine

The boys are back in town.

Not that they ever went anywhere. But Mike Heath and Paul Madore are teaming up once again to take on the sodomites in Maine.

That is bad news for the gay-rights thugs, and they know it. Heath and Madore are like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Batman and Robin, or the Lone Ranger and Tonto.

They are the homosexual movement’s worst nightmare.

For the seventh time in recent history, there is an attempt by the deviant-left to foist “sodomy-based marriage” onto the grandchildren of the citizens of Maine. When does “no” mean no?

Six times they have tried, and six times this dynamic-duo has helped push them back. It hasn’t been easy, and it hasn’t come without a cost. They both have the scars to prove it.

But at least they have scars. Rare is the man willing to take the arrows that come for standing publicly for what he believes. With all due respect to homo-queen Elton John, Madore and Heath can sing “I’m still standing” as they enter the ring in what they believe is the final round against the sodomy crowd.

“We are going for the knockout,” Heath recently told me. “We are going to turn them back with a 70 percent vote. It will be a long time before the homosexual activists get off of the canvas in Maine.”

“It is time to get serious with the society on the issue of homosexuality and the practical effects that are very harmful to society that this distorted and perverted lifestyle will have. It is time to take the gloves off. Good people just keep moving the line back in regards to homosexuality. But not any more,” says Madore.

Heath, an ordained minister and pastor of the non 501 (c)(3) Helping Hands Ministry, and Madore, a strong working-class conservative-Catholic, are not to be taken lightly.

“For 30 years we have bought the lies and we have played by the Homosexual’s rules. We have tried the “nice” approach to Christianity and have continually lost ground. For me, and this ministry, it is not about a political referendum. I spent a career depending on politicians and it took me awhile to see the light. This is not a political issue. It is a moral issue. Our goal is to re-stigmatize sodomy. To paint a picture in the mind of Mainers exactly what it is that sodomites DO. We want to make the thought of sodomy abominable once again,” Heath says.

These guys play to win to win. They believe the future of the culture is at stake.

Heath used to run with the “big dogs” in the pro-family movement. Although his name is not as nationally known, he was at the table with James Dobson, Tony Perkins, Ralph Reed and the boys as the fight for culture has been waged over the years. He saw the emergence of the unholy alliance as the Christian leadership slowly morphed into Republican lapdogs.

The Christians held a seat at the table, but the “Republicans” are the ones who called the shots.

Truth be told? The Republican establishment has never been comfortable with the partnership.

They loved the Christians’ votes, but not their issues. After three decades, what do the Christians have to show for the hundreds of millions of dollars that the grass roots donors have trusted them with?

Well, they have a beautiful complex in Colorado Springs, palatial offices in Washington D.C., silk ties and leather shoes in the halls of Congress, and millions of names in their donor bases.

What have they given us in return? Perhaps Dr. Dobson could tell us:

“We tried to defend the unborn child, the dignity of the family, but it was a holding action, We are awash in evil and the battle is still to be waged. We are right now in the most discouraging period of that long conflict. Humanly speaking, we can say we have lost all those battles.”

It would be interesting to note that shortly after that honest statement, Dr. James Dobson was forced out of Focus on The Family, an organization he founded and led for a generation because they “wanted to take a new, less divisive direction.” Yep. Fighting abortion, sodomy, and sin has become too divisive to the Christians in nice suits.

God bless Dr. Dobson for all he did. Today, Focus on the Family is MIA in the culture war. They have returned to the safety of “pastoring the family” instead of training the troops to defend the family by fighting the enemy.

Sad, isn’t it? Most Christian organizations are proudly endorsing Mitt Romney in the battle between the “Morman and the Muslim.” Their only hope is that the arm of the Republican Party can defend Christians better than the hand of the Lord. But I am sure those donations are still rolling in…

Mike Heath knows how Dr. Dobson feels. After 25 years, he too, was forced out of his position at the Christian Civic League of Maine. What was his crime? He played to win. He recognized that it was war and he understood the stakes. Unfortunately, others didn’t. They felt it was nobler to lose looking good in their fancy suits, than to win with a bloody nose and holes in your pants.

“I never saw a football player make a tackle with a smile on his face.” –Coach Woody Hayes.

In a recent press release “the boys in the suits” at the National Organization for Marriage (NOM, which just endorsed Romney), [NOM President Brian Brown] said, “We reject attempts to make this campaign [over homosexual "marriage" in Maine] about the morality of homosexuality.” Homosexuality is not a moral issue, huh?

Yep, we have lost a lot of ground but have sure looked polished doing it. Most national pro-family organizations have modeled the church. They want to be nicer than Jesus. Well Heath and Madore want to win. They think Jesus is glorified through victory. Can you help? Here is their plan.

Madore is Rocky Balboa. Heath is his trainer Mickey. Together, these defenders of the Faith are going to take sodomy head-on. I read the following in a recent newsletter I received.

“The issue is not marriage. The issue is not “rights.” The issue is not “fairness.” The issue is sodomy. Homosexuality is not a lifestyle. Homosexuality is a behavior. ‘Sodomy is most commonly legally defined as any contact between the genitals of one person, and the mouth or anus of another’.” Gaylib.com.

Permit me to clarify the definition. Sodomy is one MAN inserting his genitals into the mouth or anus of ANOTHER MAN.

Say it again. Say it out loud so your ears hear it. Picture it in your mind. Picture Barney Frank and Elton John in action…Barney Frank putting his genitals into Elton John’s…

That is what they want to tell us is normal…no wait…tell our children is normal. Into that “union” they are asking permission to place children. Would you let them put YOUR grandchild into a sodomy-based family? Why would you let them do it to someone else’s child? Have normal people lost their minds?”

Rev. Mike Heath and “Mr. Maine” Paul Madore are taking the gloves off. They are putting the pictures on mobile trucks and are taking the truth of sodomy to every city, every school, and every home in Maine. Here is the picture they will put on the trucks that they will drive throughout Maine.

Oh, how the pigs will squeal. The sodomites will cry “hate” as if the truth of a picture can be hateful. The Christians in pretty suits will cry “mean” as if being nice ever won a war.

It is God who first called them sodomites. If it is good enough for Him then it should be good enough for us.

It is time to take off the gloves. It is time to get down and dirty. It is time we fought like we wanted to win.

Hey! Listen to me! Send them some money!! They are on the front lines. They know the people of Maine. They are battle tested and uncompromising. David taking on Goliath. A broad coalition of pro-family groups recommends that students stay away from school on Friday, April 20, 2012, the national “Day of Silence,” if the school is officially recognizing and/or allowing students and teachers to observe this event during instructional time by a silent protest. High schools and even some middle schools are now the targets of this event.

The Day of Silence is supposedly led by students, but actually led by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which describes itself as “championing LGBT issues in K-12 education since 1990.” Did you catch that– “K through 12”? Younger and younger students are the target of this group. The younger, the better because they are easier to manipulate.

The Day of Silence goal is not, as I am told frequently by outraged emails from misinformed students, to help end all bullying. The goal is to exploit the tender sympathies of kids to promote approval of homosexuality and gender confusion. The agenda is everything; Judeo-Christian morality is the enemy; and sadly, kids are the tools.

GLSEN teaches students that homosexuals and gender-confused people are “silenced” and under persecution by those who object to this behavior, and that traditional moral beliefs cause bullying. No hard, objective data exists to support this contention, and the event itself causes hostility, confusion, and division.

Here are ten reasons I believe Christian students in particular should refuse to honor this event by school attendance and why Christian teachers should plan activities that require students to verbally participate:

1. A silent protest in support of immoral, God-dishonoring behavior is in itself profoundly deceptive. All sexual behavior outside man/woman marriage is sinful in God’s eyes. Why should Christian students and teachers be in the position of accommodating this flagrant violation of their principles? Teachers would not want polyamorous students to be bullied, but would schools permit students to participate in a classroom protest in support of polyamory?

2. Any explicit or implicit message encouraging teens and even younger students to view homosexual acts as normative or moral is not “social justice” or “tolerance,” but, in reality, child corruption.

3. Allowing classroom silence to honor the Day of Silence unleashes tremendous peer pressure for students and even teachers to endorse sexual immorality, or be considered “enemies” of those peers and teachers proudly involved in homosexuality. This puts people of faith in the position of violating Christian doctrine through tacit approval (Romans 16:17-18; Ephesians 5:11). They are also intimidated into self-censorship, which undermines both fundamental First Amendment and educational principles.

4. The Day of Silence fosters hostile and bigoted attitudes toward Christians and others with traditional moral beliefs; spreads inaccurate and harmful information; and promotes unproven, non-factual Leftist moral beliefs as objective truths.

5. Using legitimate concerns about bullying and teen suicide to promote approval of homosexuality in schools is educational malpractice. It’s totally unnecessary to stop bullying and prevent harm to students, and Christians should not be a party to this gross distortion of a genuine problem. No one needs to affirm homosexuality or gender-confusion in order to prevent bullying, but GLSEN routinely takes this deceitful position.

6. Teachers know real bullying when they see it, and most teachers address it. But GLSEN and the Day of Silence pressure teachers not merely to address bullying behavior but to affirm Leftist moral and political beliefs. Since when did it become the job of government employees to become public relations agents for Leftist moral propositions or the good reputation of homosexuality?  Stopping bullying can be accomplished without becoming champions of the non-factual assumptions of the homosexuality-affirming movement.

7. There are legitimate lessons students should learn about prejudice and bias. But Day of Silence promoters deceptively link moral objections about homosexuality to racial discrimination or anti-Semitism in an attempt to legitimize the pro-homosexual ideology and portray homosexuals as perennial victims, while censoring through social pressure all dissenting views.

8. Teachers have used the DOS to inappropriately become classroom advocates and models of this deviant behavior. In one Ohio school, a teacher used a Power Point presentation to tell students about her “gay” support and even disclosed to students that she was a lesbian, without prior parental notification or permission from her principal.

9. The health and lifestyle risks of homosexuality are virtually never shared on the Day of Silence. Instead, students are given the deceitful impression that homosexuality is just as safe and worthy an identity as heterosexual dating and marriage. The notion that same-sex attraction and volitional acts constitute an identity worthy of affirmation is not a fact, and government employees have no right, either explicitly or implicitly, to promote it to other people’s children.

10. The DOS message inhibits Christians from witnessing to their peers caught up in homosexuality or gender confusion. There is salvation through Jesus Christ and the hope of leaving this sin behind. Calling homosexuality a sin on the Day of Silence would be considered “hateful,” when it is actually God-honoring and respectful to the hearer. It may lead them to an eternal home with God. But that won’t happen if the truth is suppressed, which it always is on the Day of Silence. Parents, keep your children home that day. If your children have the courage to witness, they can do it on another day when perhaps they will have a fair chance of being heard.

I am a Bible-believing Christian Pastor and as such I oppose homosexuality and the now global movement to legitimize it in society. The Bible teaches that homosexuality is s sin specially condemned by God as an “abomination” destructive to both individuals and society (Leviticus 18:22f). It is the only sin which prompted the destruction of a city by fire and brimstone (Genesis 19). It is the only sin chosen to epitomize the “reprobate mind,” meaning the mind given over completely to darkness and deceitfulness (Romans 1).

My job as a pastor is to preach this truth without apology or hedging so that people who suffer with a homosexual “orientation” can repent and be delivered from their bondage (Ezekiel 3:18), and society can be spared the damaging consequences of affirming that sin (Jude 1:7). Many homosexuals from the very beginnings of Christianity have been healed of this affliction (1 Cor 6:9-11).

I also preach against the hatred and violence that some direct toward homosexuals. That too is a sin (Matt 22:39).

History affirms the Bible. This homosexual movement does in fact exemplify the conduct described in Romans 1, so much so that since its rise to power it has silenced or destroyed nearly every opponent that once stood against it. Nearly everyone, including a significant number of my fellow clergy, are now afraid to speak against homosexuality for fear of retaliation.

Being one of the few pastors with both knowledge about the “gay” movement and willingness to preach it unequivocally, I have become, by default, one of the leading voices in the world on the topic. The tactics used against me have escalated commensurately: first ridicule, then intimidation, then vandalism, then death threats and bomb threats, then lawsuits, then character assassination (globally).

This week I became the first American ever to be sued in U.S. Federal Court under the Alien Tort Statute for violation of the international law of “Crimes Against Humanity of Persecution” for my preaching against homosexuality in Uganda. Being also an attorney with international human rights credentials, I know this suit is baseless. (My comments about it are posted at DefendTheFamily.com). Nevertheless, it represents another serious effort to silence me, and to misrepresent the homosexual issue to the American people.

Implicit in all “gay” propaganda (and this lawsuit) is the narrative that all disapproval of homosexuality leads inevitably to hatred and violence against homosexuals. Why? Because disapproval of homosexuality is a mental illness called homophobia, an anxiety disorder grounded in fear of homosexuals. Thus, in “gay” logic, to preach against homosexuality is to provoke mentally unbalanced people to do violence against these innocents whom they irrationally fear.

In Uganda, the “gay” movement seemingly found the ideal case to fit its narrative. A white American pastor preached against homosexuality to a society of backwards, homophobic Blacks, leading to pubic debate and a legislative bill dealing harshly with homosexual conduct (which I opposed), culminating in the murder of David Kato, a leader of the “gay” movement there. Finally, proof of the thesis.

However, missing from the media frenzy (and the pages of the lawsuit) is the simple fact that David Kato was not murdered by a deranged “homophobe.” He was killed by a “gay” male prostitute whom Kato had bailed out of jail to be his live-in lover. This man, now serving a 30 year sentence in a Ugandan prison, confessed to bashing in Kato’s skull with a hammer when he failed to pay him for sexual favors as promised. The reality supports my thesis, not theirs.

Their thesis is in truth a paranoid delusion. Opposition to homosexuality is not an anxiety disorder. Disapproval of a person or thing does not equate to hatred or violence. And one person’s criticism of a political movement is not proximate cause for a third person’s wrongful actions toward the members of that group. It is perfectly rational to oppose a form of sexual conduct with serious moral, sociological and public health consequences. It is paranoid to interpret those reasonable views as hate.

This movement, which the Bible warns is given over completely to deceitfulness, will not tell the truth in this or any other situation in which its drive for control conflicts with the good of society. It and its allies devote vast resources to sell the illusion that homosexuality is a benign social phenomenon and that its detractors are malevolent bigots. No one anywhere can be allowed to disagree.

But I know the truth of the matter, and I am bound by my love of Christ and His Word to tell it, even if that makes me a “Criminal Against Humanity‘ in international law.

It says all you need to know about the mischieviously-named homosexual activist group “Truth Wins Out” — headed by “gay” gadfly Wayne Besen – that it would feature anti-Christian photos like these prominently on its website. The photos are part of a story about a TWO protest outside the recent Exodus International “Love Won Out” conference in Atlanta, for people who have left or seek to leave homosexuality behind in their life. TWO attempts to discredit the idea that hcaltlhy change away from homosexuality is possible (by championing failed “ex-gays” and ignoring success stories).

In the TWO promotional photo at right proclaiming a “failed” Exodus conference (click to enlarge), the man’s sign reads, “The Bible is not a tool of hatred and injustice” — implying that efforts to help men and women overcome unwanted homosexual desires are hateful. This is now the standard propaganda line for almost all homosexual activist organizations. Of course, the truth is that most loving thing that a holy God and caring Christians can do for a person struggling with homosexuality (or any besetting sin) is to help him or her overcome that sin in their life. [More photos after jump.]

Below is a larger shot of the same TWO photo as it appears on the group’s website. Click to enlarge it to full size. Note the men dressed in drag as “nuns” in the background — from the homosexual activist group “Sister of Perpetual Indulgence,” which blends Catholic-mocking attire with homosexual radicalism and perversion. One “sister” carries a sign quoting the Bible verse Matthew 5:11, which is about suffering for the cause of righteousness (following Jesus). That verse could be used appropriately by former homosexuals enduring the cruel brand of ridicule and hatred wielded by TWO and fellow homosexual activists. But here it is flipped upside-down to scold Bible-believing Christians who testify to Christ’s power to help people overcome sinful temptations.

Jesus was not homosexual

Below is another photo from the “Truth Wins Out” protest, advancing the discredited “gay theology” claim that Jesus was “gay” and had an erotic, homosexual relationship with a beloved disciple (the Apostle John). There is no more crass cliche in the homosexual activist playbook than the preposterous notion that affection between people of the same sex — i.e., great friends – constitutes evidence of homosexuality. Pittsburgh Theological Seminary Prof. Robert Gagnon debunks the ridiculous claim about Jesus’ beloved disciple HERE:

In addition to mocking Christians, distorting the Word of God, and calling Biblical faith “hate,” Truth Wins Out routinely seeks to discredit faithful Christians such as those at the Exodus conference, simply by repeating ad nauseam that their belief in transformation is outmoded. Here TWO’s Besen highlights portions of Exodus material highlighting Christian “change” — in an attempt to discredit Exodus (see Editor’s Note at bottom):

Besen and fellow homosexual activists despise the truth that many men and women have overcome homosexuality in their own lives, through faith in God. TWO and other “gay” groups like GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) do all they can to discredit this reality to the media. Having no interest in contented, successful former homosexuals like (family man) Stephen Black of First Stone Ministries, Besen & Co. instead “Focus on the Failures,” i.e., people who for whatever reason could not make the transition away from homosexuality. The Lord asks us to pray for our enemies, so I’m asking you to pray for Wayne Besen and his sidekick, Evan Hurst. They are very deluded and angry men, but ultimately, their beef is with the Creator.

Editor’s Note: By highlighting Truth Wins Out’s run-of-the-mill homosexualist hatred of Exodus, we do not mean to endorse all of Exodus’ teachings. In fact, this writer — though appreciative of Exodus’ and its president Alan Chambers’ great contributions to Christian overcomers and the pro-family movement – has become alarmed at Exodus’ straying from Scriptural Truth. Regrettably – partly out of a desire to “dialogue” with misguided “gay Christian” advocates – Chambers has become mired in semantic contortions surrounding homosexual “orientation” (an ambiguous modern-day concept not found in the Bible). And as you plainly can see from these photos and the TWO post, these equivocations and compromises have only emboldened the likes of Besen to step up their attacks against Exodus and the idea of healthy change.

I recommend this critical analysis by former homosexual DL Foster, creator of the Gay Christian Movement Watch blog, analyzing Chamber’s recent statements before a group of purported “gay Christians.” Chambers’ comments were seized upon by TWO and other homosexual activists as evidence that homosexuals really cannot change.

The homosexual pressure group GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) has named AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH Board Member Matt Barber and 34 other American pro-family opponents of homosexual activism to a list of targeted commentators whom it aims to discredit by lobbying the media.

GLAAD’s new “Commentator Accountability Project” (CAP) focuses on “our nation’s most frequently quoted anti-gay activists,” according to the power homosexual pressure organization. GLAAD says CAP “is designed to shine a big, bright light on the extreme views of the vast majority of prominent anti-LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender"]talkers.”

“Hate is not an expert opinion,” GLAAD spokesman Herndon Graddick told the Denver Post, employing the same demonizing rhetoric used by the Southern Poverty Law Center — which labels mainstream pro-family organizations opposed to homosexuality like Americans For Truth, American Family Association and Family Research Council as “hate groups.”

GLAAD is asking its followers to provide critical information back to them against the 36 pro-family advocates – which GLAAD will then relay to “reporter, editors, show runners, and guest bookers [who] need to know about the violently anti-LGBT rhetoric that many of their guests regularly use.”

GLAAD’s information denigrating pro-family leaders comes mainly from other biased, pro-homosexual sources like People for the American Way’s “Right Wing Watch.” These sites often take quotations from pro-family leaders out of context to make them appear as “hateful” as possible. (Some of the cited quotations come from snippets of their interviews with LaBarbera on AFTAH’s weekly radio show.)

Critics cite GLAAD intimidation

Pro-family advocates say the GLAAD project is merely the latest attempt to discredit and silence pro-family views, which already are rarely included to balance ”mainstream” media stories related to homosexuality.

“McCarthyism is alive and well within the ranks of the homo-fascist political lobby. Since liberals can’t win the debate, all they have left is to silence dissent,” said Barber, AFTAH board member and Vice President of Liberty Counsel Action. “As we’ve seen evidenced by the recent [Sandra] Fluke flap involving Rush Limbaugh, left-wing extremists have ramped-up their Orwellian efforts to silence those who pose a threat to their radical secular-socialist agenda.

“I count it an honor to be included among such a distinguished list of pro-family warriors,” Barber said.  “As Christ followers, we will never stop speaking God’s truth in love. These homosexualist hatemongers have exposed who they truly are. They will never silence us.”

Said AFTAH’s LaBarbera: “This is all about silencing, discrediting and demonizing pro-family voices. I guess GLAAD is so afraid that the truth about homosexuality will be heard that it will go to the extreme of creating a ‘blacklist’ against moral leaders — for a media already disinclined to be fair on this politically correct issue.”

“Ironically, while GLAAD calls these pro-family advocates ‘hateful’ and ‘extreme,’ it champions the work of the real hatemongers on the homosexual side — people like blogger Joe Jervis (of the ‘Joe.My.God.’ blog), who blames the Christian VICTIMS of pro-homosexual violence for attacks against them; and cyber-bully Dan Savage, who created the hate-site, ‘Santorum[dot]com,’ which re-defines Rick Santorum’s name as the vile by-product of homosexual sodomy,” LaBarbera said.

Focus on the Family spokesman Gary Schneeberger – reacting to Focus CEO Jim Daly’s inclusion on the list of 36 – told the Denver Post that GLAAD project is an attempt “to stifle freedom of speech and freedom of religion by trying to intimidate the media.”

Dr. Michael Brown, author of “A Queer Thing Happened to America,” told AFTAH: “It’s always an honor to be vilified for the truth and for biblical values. At the same time we need to recognize GLAAD for what it is: an intolerant group devoted to censoring dissenting views.”

Brown, who hosts the “Line of Fire” radio show, writes in his book that GLAAD’s habit of trying to squelch opponents’ views – e.g., GLAAD crusaded against CNN because it included former homosexual Richard Cohen in a TV debate segment – shows that its acronym should really stand for the “Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against DISAGREEMENT.” [See Mike Brown’s radio interview with AFTAH HERE.]

Media balance is “imbalance”?

In GLAAD’s original online article explaining the “Commentator Accountability Project,” Aaron McQuade, the group’s Director of News and Field Media, writes that “’accountability’ does not necessarily mean keeping these people out of the media,” but rather educating them on their “completely out of touch” views.

Curiously, McQuade posits that adding the perspective of an anti-“gay”-agenda critic to a news story (opposite a pro-homosexuality advocate) does not add balance to the story, but rather the opposite:

 “Most of the voices the mainstream media turns to for stories about LGBT issues are so completely out of touch with the way everyday Americans view their LGBT friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers that all they could possibly add is imbalance.”

Such a position jibes with GLAAD’s and other homosexual lobby groups’ penchant for classifying mainstream pro-family conservative critics of homosexuality (and homosexual “marriage”) as “extremists” who are morally equivalent to racists who fought against black civil rights. However, most African Americans who oppose the pro-homosexual agenda deeply resent the racism analogy.

One such black pro-family leader is Ken Hutcherson, a Washington State pastor and one of two black leaders included in GLAAD’s targeted list of 36 pro-family advocates. Hutcherson coined the phrase: “Don’t compare your sin to my skin.” He has argued forcefully – including in an AFTAH radio interview – that all attempts to equate opposition to the sin of homosexuality with racism are fraudulent.

What’s Wrong with “Gay” Pride?

June used to be a month for weddings, graduations, Father’s Day and the beginning of summer. Unfortunately in recent years, it is also a time when all over the nation, many cities sponsor homosexual “pride” events. But I think these events are a time for shame and sorrow, not pride.

Columbus will hold a gay pride parade on Saturday, June 18^th, Cleveland’s will be Saturday, June 25^th, and Cincinnati’s is on July 10. Dayton already held a parade on June 4^th.

For the third year in a row, our President issued an official White House Proclamation declaring June  “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender” Pride Month.

In this proclamation, Obama said, quote:

Each June, we commemorate…courageous individuals …and we rededicate ourselves to the pursuit of equal rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Unquote.

Of course, this statement doesn’t express the actual truth. All Americans have equal rights now. What the goal of homosexuals is to force acceptance of this behavior on all Americans. These are special rights based on sin and there’s nothing courageous about it.

Among his accomplishments, Obama mentioned the repeal of the military ban on homosexuality. He even said that national security would be “strengthened” as a result. He also cited his many executive orders granting new rights to homosexuals.

Then he mentioned his priority on youth. He said:

Many senior Administration officials have also joined me in reaching out to LGBT youth who have been bullied by recording “It Gets Better” video messages to assure them they are not alone.

“It Gets Better” is a video campaign organized by homosexual activist Dan Savage. [Editor's Note: see AFTAH press release HERE calling on Savage to take down his disgusting web creation, "Santorum.com."] It has garnered the support of leftist politicians, including Obama, as well as some celebrities, to record messages for kids with the goal of encouragement. That would be a worthy goal if that is where it ended, Unfortunately it is not, and unfortunately, Dan Savage is hardly the kind of person one would think the president would align himself with.

“It Gets Better” features encouraging words to kids but also includes endorsement of homosexuality, and implies that objections to homosexuality are the same as any bullying they may be experiencing. And Dan Savage is hardly the person to talk about bullying.

First of all, Dan Savage writes a very explicit sex advice column, but then he also has been outrageously vicious to Christian conservatives, including Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America, and Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth. Both have objected to his work, his anti-Christian vitriol and his lifestyle. Savage, who has a homosexual partner in a same sex “marriage” (not really, but that’s what he believes), has bragged publicly about having group sex that includes this partner. And– these two recently adopted a little boy.

Penny Nance objected to the broadcast of “It Gets Better” on a recent “American Idol” show, especially with her fourth-grade son watching.  Nance wrote about her concerns, and Dan Savage responded with a string of insults, calling her personally vulgar terms and concluded by expressing a hope that her little son might turn out to be a homosexual.

These are not attitudes nor behaviors to be “proud” of, friends. This is darkness. This is bullying. What can we do? Go to a “gay” pride parade and express your concern in a civil way.  We must keep our heads, speak out, and pray for these lost people, even as great evil is occurring, even at the highest levels in our land.

The following is Christian actor/director Kirk Cameron’s response (posted on his Facebook page) to the controversy and pro-homosexual vitriol over his comments on homosexuality, in a recent interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan. I recently was asked to join Piers Morgan on CNN for an interview about my new film “Monumental.” During that discussion, I was asked to express my views about homosexuality, gay marriage, and abortion. While that was not the agreed-upon purpose of the interview, I was pleased to answer Piers’ questions as honestly as I could.

In some people’s eyes, my responses were not sufficiently “loving” toward those in the gay community. I can only say that it is my life’s mission to love all people, and that I expressed the same views that are expressed clearly and emphatically throughout the Judeo-Christian scriptures. As a Bible believing Christian, I could not have answered any other way.

I’ve been encouraged by the support of many friends (including gay friends, incidentally) in the wake of condemnation by some political advocacy groups. In the case of one of my gay friends, we regularly talk and have healthy and respectful debate. We learn from each other, and serve others alongside one another. I thank God for all of my friends…even when they hold very different views on issues of faith and morality. I do not, however, believe that the right way to advance our views is to resort to name-calling and personal attacks, as some have done to me.

I also believe that freedom of speech and freedom of religion go hand-in-hand in America. I should be able to express moral views on social issues–especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years–without being slandered, accused of hate speech, and told from those who preach “tolerance” that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I’m in the public square.

I hope more than a few people could see the large volume of secularist morality being imposed on me. In any society that is governed by the rule of law, some form of morality is always imposed. It’s inescapable. But it is also a complicated subject, and that is why I believe we need to learn how to debate these things with greater love and respect.

Kirk Cameron has bravely stood for Christian and biblical values in Hollywood.

Below is a graphic put out by the homosexual media pressure group GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) — smearing Kirk Cameron as an “anti-gay extremist” for his recent heartfelt comments about homosexual behavior and “same-sex marriage,” on CNN’s Piers Morgan show. As you can see, this is not the tone of an “extremist” but a thoughtful Christian man who is smart enough to know that Hollywood liberals and LGBT militants will pounce on any statement  he makes critical of homosexual behavor, which God through the Bible condemns. (By the way, I think Kirk would have been better off just saying “yes” to Morgan’s question about whether he believes homosexuality is a sin.)

On his Facebook page, Cameron writes, in part:

GLAAD is awarded unprecedented access and sway in Hollywood (and the media) to advocate for, essentially, one side of a controversial moral issue. Here it stokes anti-Christian bigotry against Cameron, as it does against anyone who voices politically incorrect beliefs about homosexuality through the media. Ultimately, GLAAD (while curiously extolling “diversity”) hopes to keep interviews like Morgan’s with Cameron out of the media altogether. (Otherwise, why would they previously have lobbied so hard against CNN for including Christian former homosexual Richard Cohen in a debate segment?) Homosexual conduct is the opposite of good. It is unnatural and a sin against God, who lovingly established boundaries for mankind. Now, military moms and dads and relatives who bring their children to homecomings will be forced to explain this disgusting homosexual misbehavior to their kids. Mike Heath is my good friend and the former Board Chairman of Americans For Truth. He’s also the former Executive Director (1994–2009) of the Christian Civic League of Maine — which, I might add, has become decidedly less boldly “Christian” — and less principled — with the departure of Mike and his talented staff a few years back. (That’s a long and fascinating story, but it needs to be told because it says a lot about what ails the presumptively “Christian pro-family movement” [quotes necessary].)

Anyway, Mike Heath [see website HERE] is also a heckuva good guy who — now that he is free of the burdens of “pro-family movement” politics (quotes necessary) — is more apt to tell it like it is than he was before. That’s saying something, because Mike was usually more honest about what’s at stake in the “Culture War” over homosexuality than most pro-family and conservative leaders, who are — I’ll just say it — pretty much intimidated, out-gunned and out-organized by the Homosexual Lobby and at a loss for how to stop it. (See this New England homosexual lobby group’s website to get an idea of what we are up against.)

I don’t necessarily share Mike’s views on the potential that come November Mainers will likely vote for “sodomy-based marriage,” as he calls it (Mike doesn’t fret about style like so many Chistians these days). But the fact that it is even a possibility speaks to the failed “pro-family” strategy of NOT focusing on Homosexuality in the battle over, yes, Homosexual so-called “Marriage.”

Elephant in the room? What elephant in the room?!

When I read this piece, I wondered: where is the sustained outrage coming from America’s pulpits over the evil idea of attaching the noble institution of marriage to a lifestyle — no, a behavior — no, a sin and a perversion – which our Creator God in His Word calls an “abomination”?

Shame. That’s what happens when Christians cut corners by adopting Talking Points that avoid the main issue at hand: will government enshrine the perversion of homosexuality as a basic “civil right” and pretend that homosexuality-based relationships deserve “equal” treatment to the normal variety? Of course, practical arguments and positive, pro-real-marriage strategies are necessary and useful in the battle against counterfeit “same-sex marriage.” But until the Church starts viewing homosexual sin like God sees it, an insidious and creeping Political Correctness – now seeping into religous and moral discussions – will gradually overcome any effective resistance to Big Sodomy (aka the “gay rights” movement).

We’ll be following Mike’s campaign in Maine against a new push for sodomy-based “marriage.” And maybe we’ll even contrast his efforts with those of the “nicer than Jesus” crowd of milquetoast Evangelicals and Catholics who are so caught up in not offending or “judging” the LGBT Movement that they are rapidly paving the way for its triumph in our confused culture. – Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

P.S. A little known fact: a few of the same Maine leaders who helped boot Mike Heath from the “establishment” pro-traditional-marriage movement (he was deemed too harsh and controversial) actually had supported or at least did little to fight against the ”gay rights” (“sexual orientation”) non-discrimination law in Maine — which Mike, Paul Madore, Paul Volle and others successfully beat back twice through grassroots “People’s Vetoes” before it ultimately passed in 2005. Now that same LGBT nondiscrimination law is being used to promote homosexual “marriage.”

Lesson: Naivete and good intentions are no match for the incrementalist homosexual power grab that now is on the verge of “criminalizing Christianity” as it relates to Americans’ God-given freedom to oppose homosexual sin.  TAKE ACTION: Support Mike Heath’s important work HERE.

Woman Strongly Disagrees During Sermon and Walks Out

Paulie [Heath, Mike's wife] and I drove two and half hours north from our home yesterday morning to Millinocket. The struggling mill town is the gateway to Baxter State Park and Maine’s highest mountain, Katahdin.

We have visited Millinocket many times over the years, preaching and singing in churches there. Yesterday morning we worshipped with the good people at “I Care Ministries.”  Hershel Hafford is the pastor.

Paulie led the congregation in some songs, closing the worship time with her popular tune, “Make Me Pure.”

My text for the sermon was from Genesis 19, the familiar story about Sodom and Gomorrah.  I was provocative and controversial.  I purposely launch a frontal attack on political correctness and all things “gay.”  I don’t mince words.  I explain, without becoming inappropriately graphic, the importance of sodomy and behavior in gaining a proper understanding of “gay” rights as they are now being forced upon the institution of marriage.

Many Christian leaders and institutions have adopted the talking points, tone and style assigned to them by radical homosexualists and the media.  They choose to avoid confrontation and truth.  It is an epidemic, really.  An epidemic of evil compromise.

A woman spoke out from the back of the sanctuary about half way through my sermon offering her opinion that I was wrong, and that I was playing God and being judgmental.  I challenged her to show me from the Bible, or Christian teachings, where I was wrong.  She stood and declared that I was playing God as she put on her coat and left the church.  The moments that passed during our exchange were tense.

While I disagree with her, I respect this woman for courageously stating her views.  Many, many Christians agree with her — but remain silent.  This is why the society is giving up on common sense, innocence, beauty, decency and purity.  Where is John the Baptist when you need him?  Where are the men equipped to speak truth to power?  I believe that many men are called by God to speak truth to power.  Few of them are equipped, however, to do it.

Christianity is useless if it doesn’t produce disciples — men — who are like John the Baptist.

While difficult and unpleasant, the incident was important.  It was a divine appointment.  I know the Holy Spirit used it, and will continue to use it, to instruct all of us in the truth about human sexuality, marriage and Christianity.  I pray I have the opportunity to challenge all of Maine’s church goers to think about this issue more clearly than what the media and politics permit.  This needs to happen before the vote in November.

I told the congregation that Maine may endorse sodomy based marriage in November.  Maine could become the first state in America to endorse this perversion in statewide voting.  There is little doubt in my mind about this.  It will happen because Maine Christians are too sensitized to the whims of power and money.  They think they are being like Jesus by choosing “love” and “compassion” toward “gays.”

The truth is that Jesus spoke very clearly about evil.  He said that adults who cause children to stumble in sin should be cast into the sea with a millstone around their neck. Many teachers and parents now promote the idea publicly in schools that homosexuality is a moral good, even for children.

Google the “Maine civil rights teams” and do some research and thinking about the ideology that informs this taxpayer funded effort.  I am clueless as to why Governor Paul LePage allows this to continue.  And this indoctrination is going on without the specific knowledge of the parents.  How evil is that?

It is never wrong to tell the truth.  It is always wrong to pretend that something unwholesome, unhealthy and dangerous is benign and morally good.

Greg Quinlan

Here is a concise summary of what is happening with homosexual “marriage” legislation in various states, from our friend and stellar pro-family activist (and PFOX President) Greg Quinlan. Greg is also a lobbyist with the New Jersey Family Policy Council. You can listen to these AFTAH radio interviews with Quinlan, a former homosexual and one-time “gay” activist: Part One; Part Two; and Part Three.

On Monday, the New Jersey Senate voted 24-16 to corrupt the definition of marriage to include homosexual couples. Many called it a civil right. Homosexuality is NOT a civil right. It simply does not measure up to the criteria of a civil right.

Thursday (today) the Democrat-controlled New Jersey Assembly (lower Chamber) voted. There was a slim chance that it would not get the required 41 votes for passage. [But the "same-sex marriage" bill passed the  by a vote of 42-33; New Jersey governor Chris Christie has vowed to veto the bill.]

Please pray for us and that the elected officials nationwide will do the right thing. And that the Lord God will accomplish His will any way He sees fit. May HE have mercy on this state, and this nation, which seems to have forgotten Him.

Please pray for the other states facing the lie of homosexual “marriage.” A bill has just been introduced in Illinois to legalize counterfeit “gay marriage.’ It is mischievously titled the “Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act.” Maryland is under a more imminent threat of homosexual “marriage” as well as a bill that would enable transsexual, cross-dressing men to use the restrooms of women and young girls. INSANITY.

In Washington State, legislators passed homosexual “marriage” and imposed it upon their citizens, with the help of the state’s governor, Christine Gregoire, a new “gay marriage convert who ignored the dictates of her own Catholic religion to usher in this radical redefinition of an ancient institution. However, the people of Washington State are now working to get the issue on the ballot so that citizens decide whether to reverse the homosexual “marriage” law.

New Hampshire is in a similar situation to Washington State (conterfeit “gay marriage” has been legal since 2009; see this Concord Monitor article on the GOP-led effort  to repeal homosexual “marriage”). Minnesota voters will be able to vote on a statewide referendum this November to amend their state constitutions to preserve man-woman marriage, while North Carolina has a pro-traditional marriage amendmet vote in early May.

Iowans fired three of the judges that imposed homosexual “marriage” on them at the ballot box. They are now trying to reverse their dictatorial decision by putting it on the ballot.

California’s marriage battle will likely go to the U.S. Supreme Court, where Barack Obama appointed potential lesbian Elena Kagan and ultra liberal Sonia Sotomayer – who will both likely will decide against natural, God-ordained marriage.

The assault on natural marriage and rebellion against God is so vicious now that we need prayer for these individual states and our nation.

God save us from ourselves.
