What’s worse than asking ninth-graders intrusive and sexually explicit questions on a school survey, even if they do live in a liberal district?

It’s discovering misbehavior, coming to exactly the wrong conclusion about the causes and recommending more harm be done.

A new report published by the Centers for Disease Control shows that teenagers in public schools who believe themselves to be homosexual or bisexual are taking more risks all across the board. While this should not come as a big surprise to the average American with common sense, it is a stunning revelation to our psychobabbly federal public health professionals. After all, they can’t even bring themselves to say “Stop it!” to men who have anal sex with other men.

The National Youth Risk Behavior Surveys are given to high schoolers, and the Centers for Disease Control looked at the data from 2001 to 2009 in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin and the cities of Boston, Chicago, Milwaukee, New York City, San Francisco and San Diego, locales where the schools permitted questions about homosexual identity/behavior, which isn’t always the case in less “progressive” areas.

Teens who called themselves “gay, lesbian or bisexual,” or who were unsure, as well as those who didn’t use those labels but had sexual contact only with same-sex people or with both sexes, were found to be more likely than heterosexually identified students to engage in seven out of the 10 risk behavior categories. These were: 1) behaviors that contribute to violence; 2) behaviors related to attempted suicide; 3) tobacco use; 4) alcohol use; 5) other drug use; 6) sexual behaviors; and 7) weight management.

Now, I’m not in favor of asking kids these detailed sexual questions, and I’m not alone – many parents feel the same way. In fact, there are quite a few controversies in schools because of inappropriate surveys.

But now that we have this information, it gives an important snapshot, if we evaluate it appropriately.

However, the CDC researchers jumped to predictable conclusions. Among the solutions was the need for “supportive” school environments – meaning, approval of homosexuality – including more “gay straight alliance” clubs and pro-homosexual teacher diversity training. Also, health-care settings and workers need training to be more “open and nonjudgmental.”

Yet haven’t these researchers already been quite judgmental themselves? There’s no way, apparently, they considered the possibility that homosexuality might be a very wrong and unwelcome identity and behavior, nor that maybe these are desperately troubled kids, reflected in their histories of undesirable conduct.

I mean, which comes first, the “gay” feelings or the drug use? The smoking? Is there a cause/effect relationship? Or do they both stem from something else entirely?

The researchers believe these kids just suffer from low self-esteem – which may be true – but they assume it’s the fault of others, including the general social stigmatization of homosexuality. Then, of course, with no supporting evidence, they apparently adopt the “gay” lobby’s position that views against homosexuality are unwarranted and inevitably provoke bullying and self-harm. Homosexuality is either innate, or benign, or both, according to the unsupported, accepted narrative.

So the researchers submit the only possible answer: affirming homosexual behavior. Bullying and difficulties at school will be solved by molding others to a new homosexual “ethic” through favorable policies, re-education sessions and student “gay” clubs.

Yet let’s look at some details of the CDC findings that don’t jibe with these conclusions. For instance, are we actually supposed to believe that low self-respect or social rejection because of one’s homosexual identity causes teens to refuse to wear seat belts? That was one of the risk behaviors higher among “sexual minority” youth. How about driving after having consumed alcohol? What about being abused by a date or being forced to have sex? Wouldn’t that be “gay-on-gay” violence? This would put at least some “gay” kids in the category of “bullier/abuser.” Whoops! There goes another talking point.

Seriously, the percentages reporting dating violence are distinctly higher among the “sexual minority” youth. Why aren’t we seeing a proliferation of anti-violence programs aimed specifically at these kids?

Or how about having already, at their tender ages, had sex with at least four people? Is promiscuity a common reaction to real or perceived discrimination? Or failing to use a condom if they are having sex?

They were also more likely to have smoked, drunk alcohol, tried marijuana, or had sexual intercourse, all before age 13. Is anyone seeing a pattern emerge here? On this point, wouldn’t this have transpired before most declared themselves to be, as they believe, “gay, lesbian or bisexual”?

The problem here, of course, is the solutions themselves are biased and discriminatory. Nor would they be applied in comparable situations. For instance, there’s considerable evidence that overweight students experience bullying and social rejection more than others. And, these kids more often attempt suicide and engage in other risky conduct. So, where are the obesity-affirmation school programs? Why not recommend those?

As usual, political correctness has swallowed common sense. This data reveal troubled kids with issues that often pre-date puberty, heading down a road of self-harm. Others along the way may contribute, but the core dysfunction doesn’t go away by joining a “gay straight alliance.”

This misbehavior can’t all be blamed on others. It’s a picture of sad case histories where parents or guardians were most likely neglectful, abusive or both. Many of these kids raised themselves, aided primarily by our trashy culture. This looks a lot more like a combination of home troubles and rebellion than systemic social discrimination. And sexual deviance is most likely the result of the same factors responsible for the other risky practices.

Ironically, all this is being reported along with another alarming and related indicator. From another section of the CDC comes the latest HIV surveillance report with these findings about young males:

Yet public schools must keep on “affirming” this behavior? This is educational and medical malpractice. Truly caring adults would be looking at the big picture, not exploiting already troubled kids for a harmful political agenda. No matter what causes these kids to engage in dangerous behaviors, encouraging them to embrace one more – homosexuality – is only going to bring more heartbreak and harm into their already complicated lives.

University of Chicago Promotes Sadomasochism and Pedophilia to Students — in the Name of Diversity 

CHICAGO–The University of Chicago provided nearly $3,200 to a “kink” student group for a traveling sadomasochistic “leather library” exhibit at the University that eroticized pedophilia, incest, and the most deviant pornographic perversions known to mankind. 

Americans For Truth about Homosexuality (AFTAH) sent a reporter yesterday to the exhibit – at the University’s International House – and came back with photos of the shockingly perverse offerings of the “Carter Johnson Leather Library,” including: 

• The lesbian porn book “Macho Sluts,” by Pat Califia, which includes a story about a mother who engages in sadistic, violent “sex play” with her own 13-year-old daughter;
• Numerous books celebrating “Master-Slave” relationships;
• “Gay” male pornographic fiction books with pederastic themes, including one 1975 book, “Small Town Boy,” about a 15-year-old boy who meets up with and is sodomized by an adult businessman visiting from New York City;
• Photos and posters depicting the twisted violence and “consensual” degradation and cruelty of S&M – including one of a woman caning her ball-and-chained male ”slave.”

The University of Chicago "leather" exhibit featured dozens of homosexual porn fiction books like this one, "Small Town Boy," about a 15-year-old boy who williingly is sodomized by an adult man visiting from New York City.

Incredibly, the University of Chicago now officially sanctions a “student group” for sexual sadists: RACK (Risk-Aware Consensual Kink), through which the traveling “leather library” exhibit was funded. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, RACK “received nearly $3,200 in university grant money to bring the display to campus.” 

The grant for the “fetish” exhibit came from the “Uncommon Fund,” a $40,000, student-run program that “offers a chance for students to pursue a wide range of ideas that can benefit the campus community and campus life,” a U-Chicago spokesman told the Sun-Times.

The sadistic-sex exhibit was free and open to the public, and while AFTAH’s reporter was present, a few young women and men – who appeared to be around 20 – came to view the depraved materials. Exhibit creator Vi Johnson exulted to the Sun-Times: “Being able to bring this display to a college campus, put a 300-year-old book [about deviant sex] in the hands of a 20-year-old and say, ‘Here’s your history’ – it’s such a rush.” 

Just down the street from the International House is the University of Chicago Laboratory School (where Malia and Sasha Obama once attended). Around 3:00 PM Wednesday, as the “Leather Library” exhibit was winding down on its third and final day at the private university, dozens of elementary school children from the Lab School spilled onto the sidewalk.

“There could not have been a more jarring contrast between the innocence of children and the potential corruption that awaits them a mere decade later – at the hands of academic elites brandishing a particularly toxic form of tolerance,” said AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera. “I doubt many U-Chicago parents or alums are aware that U-Chicago is using its funds to expose young men and women to high-risk, vile behaviors – all in the name of ‘diversity.’”

A Facebook page affiliated with the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN) — to support homosexual student clubs and GLSEN’s upcoming activist “Day of Silence” in schools nationwide (Friday, April 15) — was linked for several weeks to a pornographic “gay” hook-up website containing full-frontal nudity and personal ads expressing interest in dangerous homosexual practices including anal sodomy, “rimming” and various sadistic sex fetiishes popular in the homosexual male subculture.

The GLSEN ”Gay-Straight Alliances” Facebook page was also linked to a  “Gay Trip Thailand” Facebook page with shirtless Thai males — luring men to that notorious sex-tourism destination — as well as a movie about two male lovers that is sponsored by a leading “gay” pornographic video distributor. When the salacious links were exposed April 11 by Mission America, a pro-family group, they were quickly removed from the GLSEN Facebook page.

The pornographic links evidently remained posted on the GLSEN-sponsored Facebook page for weeks. At least one ”photo” ad for the homosexual male hook-up site “NEXGAY” had been posted on the GLSEN Facebook page since at least January 15, 2011, based on a favorable comment  responding to the ad and posted on the GLSEN site that date.  (See  four NEXGAY photo-ads with male models in the lower right corner of the graphic at right.)

A perusal of the ”NEXGAY” website reveals it as one of many homosexual male “dating” sites — which are not like the typical heterosexual dating sites in that they are filled with vulgar and overtly pornographic references to sex acts, penis size, etc.

In fact, in its profile page where new members give their personal information, NEXGAY asks users to state their “penis size” –offering a pull-down menu with length options ranging from 5 to 27 centimeters; see photo below). Another entry asks whether they prefer ”escorts” (male prostitutes). The hyper-promiscous and often raunchy homosexual male hook-up culture — which includes anonymous sex — is fueled by efficient, online “gay” websites like Manhunt and Grindr — and now ”NEXGAY.”

As can be seen from our screen-shot upper right, a click on the NEXGAY photo on GLSEN’s “Gay Straight Alliances” Facebook page advertised it to their youthful audience as a site offering ”free, unrestricted online dating for gay men.” Yet on the front page of the NEXGAY site, as of today (April 12, 2010), it becomes clear what “unrestricted” means: among a series of thumbnail photos linking to NEXGAY subscribers is one for ”Charly” (see below left), showing him thrusting forward his exposed, erect penis (his face is not shown).

A click on “Charly’s” (from Hammond, Ind.) pornographic thumbnail photo takes the user to his profile page, which describes his “sexual interests” as:  “Anal, Bi/Straight, Bondage, Chat/Cam/Phone, Feet, Kissing, Master/Slave, Nipple play, Oral, Porn, Rimming, Rough, Suits, Toys.” For the unitiated, Bondage, Master/Slave and Rough refer to homosexual sadism/masochism; Feet suggests a foot fetish; anal denotes homosexual anal sex (extremely high risk); while Rimming refers to oral-anal stimulation — a known risk factor for hepatitis because the practitioner’s mouth comes into contact with feces. NEXGAY requires members to be 18 years old.

GLSEN targets younger and younger students

The link to the pornographic NEXGAY "gay" hook-up site was just one click away from the GLSEN "Gay Straight Alliances" Facebook page.

The Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is the leading activist group promoting the acceptance of homosexuality, bisexual and transsexuality (transgenderism) in schools. One of the main ways it does that is through “Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs),” which are de facto pro-homosexual booster clubs and which now exist in thousands of high schools and colleges across the United States. GLSEN has always marketed its agenda as protecting the “safety” of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) students — engendering sympathy for its activist work among impressionable youth — but critics question how the promotion of sexual identies tied to unhealthy LGBT behaviors can possibly be termed “safe.” (The CDC, in a recently published 2008 survey from several major cities, reports that nearly one in five  ”men who have sex with men” were infected with the HIV virus, and 44 percent of those did not even know it until they were tested.)

The pro-homosexuality GSA clubs are increasingly making their way into middle schools, where the age range of students is 11-14 or perphaps 15 if the school includes 9th grade. See this San Francisco Unified School District flier on middle school GSAs, from which the following is excerpted:

[Q:] “It makes sense to have a GSA in High School, but why should we have a GSA’s in Middle School?

[A:] “Each year more and more Middle School students are coming out: they and their friends need a safe place to share their experiences and ask questions. In all likelihood, there are also students who have parents or family members who are LGBT.”

We do not have the figures for how many middle schools allow GSAs, but based on the testimonies on GLSEN’s Facebook pages and other homosexual youth venues, it is clear that aggressively “out” homosexuality is on the rise among younger teens and even pre-teens. (Estimates of pro-homosexual student-clubs are unreliable due to their fluid nature, with students graduating and leaving school.)

GLSEN’s history: exposing children to reckless homosexual promiscuity

This latest incident involving a GLSEN link with “gay” porn and the particularly prodigious promiscuity associated with male homosexuality is not the first time GLSEN has been exposed as contradicting its “safety” mantra. Below are a few examples:

• Boston: “Fistgate” — In 2000, at a GLSEN-sponsored youth conference, young teens were guided in a “how-to” discussion — led by homosexual instructors — about the grotesque and dangerous sexual-sadistic practice of “fisting” — in which a man inserts his hand and forearm up the rectum and into the colon of his sex partner; see Mass Resistance story on “Fistgate” HERE;
• Chicago: pornographic advertisements: at the annual GLSEN national conference in 2000, organizers distributed Chicago “gay guides” containing ads for homosexual bathhouses (anonymous sex clubs), gay “leather” (sadomasochist) bars, and homosexual phone sex lines. Similar raunchy advertisements or homosexual “safer sex” fliers reportedly have been distributed at other GLSEN conferences;
• GLSEN’s perverse “Recommended Reading” list of books for high school and adolescent LGBT students include many with overtly sexual themes including one (Rainbow Boys) featuring a sexual encounter between a 17-year-old boy and a 29-year-old man he met on the Internet;
• GLSEN founder Kevin Jennings (appointed by President Obama to be “Safe Schools” deputy at the Department of Education), became the subject of widespread controversy when it was reported that — as a teacher at a Boston-area prep school — Jennings failed to report to authorities when one of his underage male students confessed to him that he had been seduced by a homosexual man. Instead, Jennings used the tragic incident to confirm the boy as “gay.”

Homosexual promiscuity infects youth

Although it receives precious little media coverage, the exposure of youth to the perverted and hyper-promiscuous male homosexual hook-up culture deserves scrutiny — especially with young “men who have sex with men” continuing to have high rates of HIV and other sexual-transmitted diseases.

Surely few Americans are aware of the behaviors and peculiar, twisted carnality of the sex-saturated “gay” male subculture — e.g., the “penis-size” profile category on the NEXGAY website shown at right. Among the other personal profile categories on the NEXGAY site are the following (with options in red):

• Sex: Male; Female; Trans
• [Sexual preference] I am: Gay individual; Bisexual individual; Curious individual; Straight individual; Gay couple; Bisexual couple; Curious couple; Straight couple; Gay group; Curious group; Straight group; an Organization; Other
• [Sodomy position] Role: Top/Active; Top/Vers[atile]; Versatile; Bottom/Vers; Bottom/Passive
• Body hair: None/smooth; Little; Average; Hairy; Shaved; Landscaped [Editor's note: historically, the "gay" slang term "smooth" has been used by adult homosexual men to describe much-sought-after youthful males, who are called "Twinks"];
• Drugs [use drugs?]: Often; Socially; Rarely; Never
• Safe Sex: Always; Discuss; Never
• HIV [status]: Neg; Pos; Unknown
• Escort [sex with male prostitute]: Yes; Discuss; Never

Most adults would be shocked to learn of such detailed catering to and categorizing of perversion — much less teens and even pre-teens who might have reached the site after clicking on the “NEXGAY” ad link off the GLSEN “Gay-Straight Alliances” Facebook page.

‘Charly’s’ past and his future

But there is another aspect to the “NEXGAY”-GLSEN linkage that is symbolic of the tragedy of youth entering the sordid homosexual world. Note these three statements by ”Charly,” the young man from Hammond, Indiana, who posted the pornographic profile on the “gay dating” site. They are among 25 that he listed on his profile page:

My greatest fear is the future.

I am not a great follower of rules and I love risk-taking.

Despite being baptized under Christianity, I do consider myself one, but no one and nothing decides what I believe!

Some time not too long ago Charly lived the innocent and wholesome life of a boy — or so we would hope. Now, at just 23, he is apparently already engaging in — or desires to engage in – some of the most deplorable perversions known to mankind.  We pray that his future would see a return to (real) Christianity — i.e., salvation through Jesus Christ, and deliverance from homosexuality. Charly is responsible for his own conduct, but his descent into the “gay” male hook-up culture — and that of tens of thousands of young men like him — is made easier when society breaks from its biblical moorings and promotes sin and destructive behaviors in the name of tolerance, civil rights, and – worst of all — youth “safety.”

Dear AFTAH Readers,

Many Christians and moral-minded people have given up on the public schools, and with good reason. The suffocating political correctness on a host of controversies — including homosexuality — overwhelms the Average Mom and Dad, who are already running ragged between work, family duties, church and youth sports. Add to that the arrogant, dismissive bureaucrats who occupy key positions in many metropolitan schools — and who view complaining parents as an “enemy” of sorts that needs to be kept at bay — and you understand why our schools have devolved into havens for liberal-left indoctrination. (In addition, as more and more Christian parents abandon the public schools, it removes a key wholesome influence restraining evil.)

Despite all this, my friend Laurie Higgins is correct: parents are derelict in “tolerating” their children’s schools’ descent into liberal advocacy. Beyond the critical point that THESE ARE OUR CHILDREN (not the school’s), and we should guide their moral upbringing, there is the fiscal reality (even for those without school-age children) that we as taxpayers should not be subsidizing the use of public schools to foist pro-homosexual propaganda on students.

So we at AFTAH echo the call for parents to pull their kids out of any school that abides the annual homosexual-activist event April 15 called the “Day of Silence.” Please read Laurie’s article below and call your children’s schools (middle and high schools) to see if they are sanctioning this pro-homosexual event. If you have any inkling that they are encouraging this disruptive event, tell the school that you will be keeping your child home that day. Parents, Please Take a Stand: Day of Silence Walkout 2011

It is unconscionable that conservative parents remain silent, acquiescent, fearful non-participants in our public schools while homosexuals and their ideological allies engage continuously in vociferous, vigorous, and bold action.

The Day of Silence, which is sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), is fewer than two weeks away. GLSEN’s Day of Silence, which began on college campuses and has now infiltrated middle schools, exploits anti-bullying sentiment to undermine the belief that homosexual acts are immoral. GLSEN shamelessly exploits teen suicide in order to create a climate of hysteria which they can then exploit to falsely impute culpability for teen suicide to conservative moral beliefs.

GLSEN’s end game is the eradication of conservative moral beliefs and the creation of a social and political climate in which it is impossible to express them. Their cultural vehicle of choice for this radical social experiment is public education. What a strategic coup for homosexualists: use our money to capture the hearts and minds of our children.

And we do virtually nothing. Our complacence makes us complicit in the damage done to our children and our culture. Moreover, we teach our children by example to be cowardly conformists. It’s time to resist, and there’s no easier way to resist than to call your children out of school on the Day of Silence.

Parents and Guardians: Call your children’s middle and high schools and ask if students and/or teachers will be permitted to refuse to speak during class on Friday, April 15. If your administration allows students and/or teachers to refuse to speak during class, call your child out of school. Every student absence costs school districts money. When administrators refuse to listen to reason and when they allow the classroom to be exploited for political purposes, parents must take action. If they don’t, the politicization of the classroom and curricula will increase.

If your administrator tells you that they do not permit students or teachers to refuse to speak in class, ask him or her how that is communicated to faculty and students.

Here are just a few of the governmental efforts, including proposed legislation, designed to use public schools to normalize homosexuality and Gender Identity Disorder (aka “transgenderism”):

• Ten states now have “enumerated” anti-bullying laws, which specifically include homosexuality and gender confusion as protected classes.
• Comprehensive sex ed curricula portray homosexuality as morally equivalent to heterosexuality.
• California’s SB 48, if passed, will require schools to teach about homosexuality and Gender Identity Disorder positively while censoring dissenting resources.
• Federal Safe Schools Improvement Act denies funding to schools to combat drugs and violence unless they agree to address homosexuality and Gender Identity Disorder.
• Federal Student Non-Discrimination Act includes homosexuality and Gender Identity Disorder as protected classes. If passed, schools would be prohibited from treating the objective biological fact of a student’s sex as if it had objective status. It would render the act of making common sense distinctions between boys and girls illegal.
• “Dear Colleague” Letter, which unconstitutionally expands the control of government over student speech, was sent by the Department of Justice to all school boards.
• The Department of Justice created a video submission to Dan Savage’s “It Gets Better” campaign in which federal employees affirm unproven moral propositions about homosexuality to students
• President Obama held an anti-bullying conference at the White House to which he invited representatives from virtually every homosexuality-affirming organizations that seeks to use public education to normalize homosexuality.
• The White House created an anti-bullying website that has a special image link for only one group of students who experience bullying: LGBT students.

And here are the special events concocted by homosexual activist organizations that have wormed their way into public schools, partly because conservatives fail to oppose them with the same vigor that homosexuals promote them:

• No Name-Calling Week sponsored by GLSEN
• Ally Week sponsored by GLSEN
• Spirit Day sponsored by Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD)
• National Coming Out Day sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC)
• The Transgender Day of Remembrance sponsored by the HRC

The ACLU has issued this statement to students regarding silence in class:

“You DO have a right to participate in Day of Silence and other expressions of your opinion at a public school during non-instructional time: the breaks between classes, before and after the school day, lunchtime, and any other free times during your day. You do NOT have a right to remain silent during class time if a teacher asks you to speak.”

It’s long past time that conservatives start acting and speaking as if we think our moral beliefs are objectively true. Conservative teachers need to create activities that require students to speak on the Day of Silence, and conservative parents need to teach their children by example to take a stand for truth.

The state’s Democrat-dominated General Assembly passed a “Civil Unions” bill in a lame-duck session last year (before a new elected, more conservative legislature could take office) — and Gov. Illinois pro-family advocate Earl Gough writes March 7, 2011:

This is one of the reasons my kids no longer attend Lyons Township High School (LTHS) in LaGrange and Western Springs [Illinois].  This and much worse happens there because parents are not involved enough and (sorry) churches do even less.

I was at the South Campus this evening and found this large display (see photo at right) applauding Civil Unions at the front entry of LTHS.

There are 17 suburbs and 25 feeder schools that send their children to this school.  Imagine what influence parents would have if they cared to get involved.  But, because less than 2% (not 10%) of the population is more consistent in pressing this agenda, all of our kids, the majority, have to be subjected to this family-threatening political correctness that is not healthy or in the interest of the general welfare.

Perhaps, with upcoming school board elections [April 5, 2011], this may be good time to discuss this in the public square.  Remember the frog in the kettle?

Why doesn't the media -- or the SPLC -- call homosexual activist Dan Savage a "hater" given his history of hate-filled attacks against Christians?

This interview [click HERE to listen] with Barbara Anderson of the Minnesota Family Council aired Nov. 27, 2010. Anderson is a writer and researcher for the MFC specializing in education issues. Here she discusses some of the incredible abuses that have gone in the name of education – including teaching young children about anal sex and other homosexual practices in the name of being “inclusive.” Americans For Truth President Peter LaBarbera and Anderson discuss the privileged role that the liberal group SIECUS (Sexuality Information and Education Council of the U.S.) plays in American sex education — while the vast majority of parents remain ignorant of SIECUS’ radical agenda. We’re not going to give it away: you simply have to listen to this interview to believe the incredible things that are being taught to kids in the name of safety, diversity and tolerance. This is the first of three interviews.  

In the opening monologue, LaBarbera discusses an incredibly hateful stunt done several years ago by homosexual activist Dan Savage against Pennsylvania’s Republican former U.S. Senator, Rick Santorum. The discussion on “Savage Hate” is in the context of AFTAH now “officially” being labelled a “hate group” by the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center. Savage created an obscene definition for “Santorum”  — a gross byproduct of anal sex – and then set up a website with that creation, Santorum.com [Warning: graphic content].  Anderson says Savage’s deviant definition “truly is a reflection of the kind of perverted thinking of these people … They are not only trying to silence the opposition; they are trying to destroy the opposition.”  LaBarbera asks why the likes of Savage “aren’t ever called haters by the media?”

Homosexual activists are using the schools to indoctrinate very young children in the idea that homosexuality "is just one more kind of love," to quote from the homosexual picture book, "Daddy's Roommate." The follow public prayer was offered by AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera’s yesterday on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. It was part of the national repentance event, “May Day: A Cry to God for a Nation in Distress,” organized by Faith2Action’s Janet Porter:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Forgive our nation for our sexual sin. Forgive us for our excessive “tolerance” as a nation – and, as individuals, for the creeping sins, sexual and otherwise, that we have “tolerated” in our own lives.  Father, forgive us for not hating sin like you hate sin. And forgive us for confusing merciful love for homosexuals with ungodly acceptance of homosexual behavior itself.

Indeed, it is a long, secular road that America has traveled from “abomination” to “gay.” Forgive us for caring more about the prideful words of men than the eternal Word of God. But Father, forgive us most of all for doing so little to protect the next generations of young people from a sexual sin movement known – deceptively – as “Gay.”

The Lord Jesus Himself warned us against putting the eternal destinies of children in danger. Yet that is what we have allowed to happen on our watch in this, the most blessed nation on earth. We barely put up resistance as the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network set up pro-homosexual student clubs – first in our high schools, next in our middle schools – and one day (God forbid) they will try to set up these homosexual booster clubs in our elementary schools.

Our hearts tremble, O God, as we watch the “Gay” Lobby teach even kindergartners that homosexuality “is just one more kind of love” – to quote “Daddy’s Roommate,” one of many pro-homosexual children’s books used in the classroom. And while a small number of parents struggled to prevent the systematic corruption of young students’ minds, the homosexual activists rolled up their sleeves to fulfill their wicked plan of turning America’s schools – public and sometimes private – into Homosexuality Promotion Zones. Why is it, O Lord, that militant sexual activists demonstrate more zeal, unity and purpose to spread their lies than Christians do for the Truth?

Finally, Father, we beg you in your “Amazing Grace” to preserve a righteous remnant of young, born-again believers who – like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the Book of Daniel – will steadfastly refuse to worship today’s politically-correct “American Idol” of “Gay.” We humbly ask you to raise up an army of young Christians who will love homosexuals enough to tell them the truth: that Nobody has to be “gay,” nobody has to be “lesbian,” or bisexual, or “transgender” — because You are there to help those struggling with homosexuality overcome through the power of Jesus Christ. (And I have met many “ex-gays.”)

Lord, please give this young, godly remnant a zeal for gaining wisdom and for obeying your precious Word — no matter what the cost — so that in purity and faithfulness the young will teach the old. They will remind us that righteousness is more noble than “tolerance,” and that agreeing with You, our loving Creator, about sexual purity within marriage is part of our duty and high calling as children of God.

Note from Peter LaBarbera: Folks, it’s no secret that American public schools are failing at teaching the basics. So they need to get out of the values-adjustment (or should I say values-subversion) business.  The “Day of Silence” is a thinly-veiled attempt to propagandize students using the time-tested technique of hyping homosexuals as victims. The “gay-victim” gig is getting very old, especially when one considers that the homosexual lobby is in the vanguard of: viciously demonizing Christians like Dr. James Dobson and equating religious moral teachings with “hate”; working to deny Christians the right to live by their own moral code; and “silencing” viewpoints with which they disagree.

Parents: Keep Students Home — Schools  Stop Politicizing Our Classrooms

Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) is part of a national coalition of pro-family organizations urging parents to call their children out of school on April 17. This is the day designated for this year’s Day of Silence when students and/or teachers will purposely remain silent during instructional time to protest so-called discrimination and gain sympathy for students who identify as homosexual or transgender.

The Day of Silence is a yearly event sponsored by the partisan political action group, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). The implicit purpose is to undermine the belief that homosexuality is immoral. It is the belief of the sponsors of the Walkout that parents should no longer passively accept the political usurpation of taxpayer funded public school classrooms through student silence.

The DOS requires that teachers either create activities around or exempt silent students from any activity that involves speaking. DOS participants have a captive audience, many of whom disagree with and are made uncomfortable by the politicization of their classroom.

Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute explains that “While in the public school setting, it is legitimate to teach students that there exist diverse opinions on this issue, it is not legitimate to imply that one of those opinions is preferable to another. While it is appropriate to teach students that tolerance requires that society should treat all with civility, it is not appropriate to teach that tolerance requires students to accept the view that homosexual conduct is moral.”

Higgins further emphasizes that “The worthy end of eliminating harassment does not justify the means of exploiting instructional time.” The First Amendment already allows DOS participants to wear t-shirts or put up posters, but according to a document co-written by the ACLU and Lambda Legal, a “school can regulate what students say. . . and it can also insist that students respond to questions, make presentations, etc.” Students and teachers should not be allowed to exploit instructional time to advance their socio- political goals.

Parents are encouraged to call their children’s middle schools and high schools to ask whether the administration and/or teachers will permit students to remain silent during class on the Day of Silence. If so, parents can express their opposition by calling their children out of school on that day and sending letters of explanation to their administrators, their children’s teachers, and all school board members.

1. Homosexual “Youth Pride Day” includes hardcore “gay” anti-religious propaganda. Speaker incites crowd to attack photographers.

This past Saturday was homosexual “Youth Pride Day” in Boston, run by the tax-funded Massachusetts Commission on Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Youth. It included a “celebration” on the Boston Common followed by a parade past the State House and a “transgender prom” that evening at Boston City Hall.

Kids were bussed in from all over the state. Homosexual activists were everywhere.

The “celebration” drew a huge crowd of hundreds of kids around a stage and several invited speakers. There was a main theme, which was constantly repeated: The kids need to understand that they are being oppressed by our homophobic society, which doesn’t allow them to enjoy their true (gay) sexuality.

The kids were given these hardcore sexual propaganda handouts:

• “History of Saints Servius and Bacchus”, handed out by a man dressed as a Catholic priest, claiming that these two Catholic saints were actually homosexual lovers.
• “Catholic Theological Defense of Same-sex Marriage” pamphlet which states that there is “no moral right to declare marriage off limits to persons whom God has made gay” and that the Pope “is definitely wrong and he will be corrected some day by one of his successors.” (Also handed out by the aforementioned “priest”.)
• “Reading the Bible with New Eyes” – a pamphlet that portrays Jesus as having had a homosexual affair with Lazarus and Mary as a lesbian. It also describes the Book of Acts as “defining a lesbian and gay ‘nation.’” It also states that Jesus “was a functional, if not physical, eunuch.”
• “Queer Spirituality” A booklet from a “church” describing how homosexuality is a spiritual experience that “opens us up to God.”
• “Out and Proud – Coming out to your Parents” A how-to guide for kids to explain to their parents that they are now homosexuals.
• “Boston Gay & Lesbian Film / Video Festival” A pamphlet inviting the kids to a homosexual film festival, showing photos of (among other things) men in bed with each other and women kissing.
• “Tips for organizing on high school / college campuses on transgender issues” How to push cross-dressing and transgenderism at schools. Includes a section on “Transgender Students Use of Bathrooms and Locker Rooms.”

Special (depraved) award given out. As part of the speeches to the kids, an award for outstanding service was given to hardcore homosexual and transgender activist Mark Snyder. In accepting the award, Snyder bragged about his “service” to the homosexual community: how he had disrupted a Catholic Mass with a homosexual “kiss-in” to protest the Church’s objection to same-sex marriage, and how he had organized a demonstration that terrorized a downtown Boston church to the point where they had to order lunch to be delivered rather than go outside for lunch. Finally, he bragged how he had personally persuaded the vulnerable special-needs daughter of MassResistance staffer Amy Contrada to “come out as a lesbian.” (Actually, the girl never was a lesbian; this was simply meant to cause her and her family confusion and distress.) And here’s a sample of Mark Snyder’s political “activity” – a vulgar drag-queen parody former Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey.

Inciting the crowd to assault photographers. And it got violent. During this event, homosexual publications had photographers there taking pictures of all the kids. (Over 350 pictures were on the gay websites the next day.) But when one of the speakers spotted the independent ComFLM people pointed them out to the crowd as being from MassResistance, and exhorted the audience to “send [MassResistance] a message.” Things got very ugly. The crowd of kids started screaming, then surrounded them, blocked their cameras, and assaulted them. Not surprisingly, the uniformed Boston policemen standing right there would not arrest anybody, though eventually the cops asked the activists to stop their harassment. (A police report has been filed.) It was a hideous scene.

We will be posting the audio and video of all of this, as well as photos of our own, with our next email. It’s really unbelievable. (We’ll also be posting the pamphlets mentioned above.) We will be presenting a full report on this entire day.

THIS is how your [Massachusetts] Legislature is continuing to spend your money – to placate a very destructive special interest group whose target is schoolchildren.

[An interesting footnote: None of the Boston media reported on this, even through we alerted them to and described what had happened in the past.]

We received a call yesterday from Pastor Ken Hutcherson, who led the successful student boycott of the pro-homosexuality “Day of Silence” (DOS) at Mt. Si High School in Redmond, Washington. It turns out that 638 students out of a total of 1,410 walked out to make a statement against the DOS, not 495 as the Seattle Times reported (relying on Principal Randy Taylor’s count).

If Pastor Hutcherson is correct, that means 45 percent of the student body boycotted the “gay” activist event. What’s more incredible is that Hutcherson told us that he called for the walkout only eight days prior to the DOS (April 25).

What this tells me is that there is tremendous opportunity in our culture to use the “gay” activists’ overreach for good. We can and must use their language and piggyback off their tactics to promote truth and healthy, godly behaviors. When your corporation’s Human Resources Department starts talking “diversity,” send an e-mail to the CEO and executive team asking if people of faith will be represented in the “diversity” discussions. If not, why not? (Make them put it in writing.) When schools talk about student “safety” and “safe sex,” ask them what they are doing to educate students on the immense health risks of homosexual behavior. Support ex-”gay” ministries like Regeneration — they need it!

Stop spending your dollars at McDonald’s and other corporations that are “mainstreaming” unhealthy and immoral homosexual and transsexual lifestyles — but make sure you communicate your decision to those businesses. Spread the word to your family members and network of friends.

It’s time to stop the whining and get to work. There are no excuses for cowardice and apathy — especially for the committed Christian who has been given the immense blessing of living in the freest and most prosperous nation on earth. Take Pastor Hutcherson’s wonderful counter-protest as a shot-in-the-arm and do something — anything — to defend truth and God’s plan of sexuality in marriage. Make a vow to yourself — but more importantly to your Creator — to be more committed to defending Truth than the forces of homosexuality, bisexuality, gender confusion — and heterosexual promiscuity — are to promoting their lies. NAPERVILLE, Illinois –– Americans For Truth (AFTAH) President Peter LaBarbera today called on schools, the media and opinion-makers to “break the silence” regarding the serious health risks of homosexual behavior, and said Americans deserve an official government investigation into the matter.

“Today, thousands of schools across the country are encouraging the homosexual activist ‘Day of Silence,’ and doing it in the name of protecting students’ safety,” LaBarbera said. “While schools can and must protect every child from harassment and abuse, it is contradictory to promote homosexuality in the name of ‘safety’ because the evidence is so overwhelming that same-sex behavior is a serious health risk –– especially for males.”

AFTAH has joined a coalition of pro-family organizations encouraging parents to pull their children out of schools that endorse the “Day of Silence” or allow students not to participate in classroom activities. [For a list of DOS-participating schools, see www.missionamerica.com.]

“How many government-funded studies have there been on the dangers of smoking?” LaBarbera said. “Yet homosexual men similarly are dying prematurely due to risky, unnatural same-sex practices –– but taxpayer-funded public schools are promoting this lifestyle to students through propagandistic exercises like the ‘Day of Silence.’”

LaBarbera pointed to the Food and Drug Administration’s explanation of why homosexual men are banned from donating blood as evidence of the dangers of homosexual sex. The FDA reports:

Men who have had sex with men since 1977 have an HIV prevalence … 60 times higher than the general population, 800 times higher than first time blood donors and 8,000 times higher than repeat blood donors …. Men who have sex with men also have an increased risk of having other infections that can be transmitted to others by blood transfusion. For example, infection with the Hepatitis B virus is about 5-6 times more common and Hepatitis C virus infections are about 2 times more common in men who have sex with other men than in the general population. Additionally, men who have sex with men have an increased incidence and prevalence of Human Herpes Virus-8 [which] causes a cancer called Kaposi’s sarcoma in immunocompromised individuals.

“Educators profess to be concerned with guiding young people into making healthy choices,” LaBarbera said. “By celebrating homosexual, bisexual and ‘transgendered’ lifestyles in the guise of ‘safety,’ they are putting innocent children at risk instead.”

Every freedom-loving American owes a debt of gratitude to Larry Cirignano and all those like him who refuse to give up or “settle” in the face of the radical Left’s lies, dirty tricks and intimidation tactics. Cirignano is a Catholic family advocate who was “set up” by an ACLU activist at a pro-marriage rally in Worcester, Massachusetts, turning the pro-family event into a 10-month personal nightmare. (See below, or go HERE to Mass Resistance’s excellent background story on the case; their final write-up is HERE.)

You simply won’t believe this case: alleged “victim” and pro-homosexual protester Sarah Loy invaded a pro-marriage rally on December 16, 2006; then, as Cirignano was leading her away from the rally that she was trying to disrupt, she fell to the ground and started screaming about “hate” as if he had attacked her! (You can view a sample of the leftist tripe on this website, which identifies Loy as a Board Member of ACLU.)

Loy claimed that Cirignano shoved her to the ground but the jury found that she tripped and fell. You can watch some amateur video footage of the rally HERE. (The video, which is of low quality, might be called, Anatomy of a Smear; a longer version of it, along with still photographs, was used in court to show that some of the government’s key “witnesses” to the alleged assault — including Richard Nangle of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, who reported it as fact — were not in the crowd but standing dozens of feet away.) 

The whole case is further proof — as if we needed it — that nobody lies like the pro-homosexual, pro-abortion Left, whose members are so consumed with hatred for those defending life and the natural family that they will stoop to evil tactics like this in their ends-justify-the-means crusade to destroy them.

Loy’s story was a complete fabrication, but Worcester’s prosecutors — in bed with the ACLU, the liberal media, and the state’s powerful “gay” lobby — took it seriously, wasting tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars and smearing a good man’s reputation in the process. 

Is the ACLU claiming that Loy had some “right” to disrupt her opponents’ rally (for which they had a permit)? Does this newfangled right extend to Loy and friends lying about Cirignano, implying that this peaceful family man is violent, and forcing him into court to clear his name — all with the cooperation of local prosecutors?

People’s Republic of Massachusetts, indeed. All that was lacking was a show-trial judge to complete the charade — a role presiding Judge David Despotopulos was not willing to play.

So much for the ACLU’s commitment to free speech and the First Amendment. In the ACLU’s playbook, homosexual advocacy trumps genuine liberty and Christians’ constitutional freedom to assemble. (In fact, in that sense, the leftist organization’s twisted priorities represent the core problem of pro-homosexuality (“sexual orientation”) laws: they cannot coexist with the First Amendment and free-association liberties of moral-minded citizens.)

The left-wing Massachusetts lawyers who were all over Loy’s spurious lawsuit were counting on Cirignano to throw up the white flag — another notch on the ACLU’s intimidation belt. (Numerous school districts have given in to the ACLU’s demands on issues like homosexual student clubs rather than fight, out of fear of facing an expensive lawsuit.) Cirignano could have cut a deal to dispense with the case, but chose instead to fight for truth and his own vindication. Sarah Loy’s pathetic claims of “assault and battery” were exposed as fraudulent. Her lies were (and still are) believed by radical leftists and some reporters – but not by the jury or the judge, who earlier had tossed out her “civil rights violation” claim. (Trashing peaceable assembly in the name of “civil rights” — Stalin would be proud.)

Something else to consider: wherever the homosexual and radical feminist lobbies are strongest, these sorts of abuses against truth and justice occur. Something similar happened to Scott Lively (now with Abiding Truth Ministries) and the Christian group Oregon Citizen’s Alliance (OCA) back in 1991: a lesbian who snuck into their pro-family meeting claimed that Lively had “battered” her when he escorted her out of it. (Lesson for conservatives: NEVER touch a homosexual activist or leftist protester.) The media picked up on the phony charge so that Lively and OCA were publicly shamed and smeared at the height of a key referendum battle dealing with homosexuality. 

Ends justify the means.

Jury acquits Larry Cirignano in celebrated case stemming from pro-marriage rally last December!

Doesn’t buy absurd “assault and battery” charges, despite rhetoric by ACLU and homosexual activists. Trial was waste of public money by District Attorney.

Civil rights charges already thrown out by judge last week.

DEFEAT FOR ACLU AND HOMOSEXUAL ACTIVISTS!

A jury of four men and two women acquitted Larry Cirignano of the remaining assault and battery charges stemming from a pro-marriage rally last December. The civil rights charges against him had already been dropped by Judge David Despotopulos … in the face of overwhelming evidence in Larry’s favor.

When it was finally examined in a courtroom with witnesses, cross-examination, and video, the entire case against Larry Cirignano collapsed.

The jury was selected on Tuesday, Oct. 16 and the trial began Wednesday. On Friday afternoon the jury began deliberating and went home for the weekend at 4 p.m. At 9 a.m. Monday morning they reconvened. At 11:30 a.m. the jury appeared to be deadlocked, but at 1 pm they came out with a unanimous verdict of not guilty.

On Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 2006, Larry Cirignano was helping run a peaceful pro-traditional marriage rally on the steps of Worcester City Hall.  They had a legal permit to use the area for the rally. But dozens of homosexual activists converged on the area in order to disrupt it, many holding signs and screaming vulgar chants and obscenities.

During one of the speeches, Sarah Loy, and ACLU board member and pro-homosexual “marriage” activist, came in and stood in front of the podium, facing the crowd. She held a homosexual-marriage sign and taunted the crowd, chanting.  Larry led her to the side, buy but as Loy made her way through the crowd she fell to the ground. Then she started screaming and chanting “That’s what hate does!” and proclaimed that Larry had pushed her to the ground. 

Larry was charged with assault and battery, and later also charged with a civil rights violation.

This case had become a cause celebre in the homosexual movement across the country, as they’ve attempted to demonize Larry and others in the pro-family movement.

But Loy’s claim that she had hit her head on the ground was debunked by witnesses who testified they saw her land on her buttocks, break her fall with her hand, look around for a second, and then l lie down in a fetal position and scream.

The ACLU was heavily involved in the case and during the trial. Ronald Madnick, a prominent ACLU attorney, was at the entire trial and huddled with the prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney Joseph Quinlan, frequently at breaks.  And Sarah Loy was on the Board of Directors of the ACLU.

As David Parker’s lawyers prepare to appeal the ruling against his federal civil rights lawsuit against the Lexington School system, three major homosexual activist groups have officially filed their appearance in the case, and will be submitting amicus briefs as part of their effort to stop his appeal.

David Parker, his wife, and another couple, the Wirthlins, are suing the Lexington, MA school system over the teaching and normalization of homosexual behavior in the elementary schools, purposefully without parents’ knowledge or consent, or ability to opt out.

Earlier this year, Federal District Court Judge Mark Wolf issued an unbelievable ruling against the Parkers which, among other things, gives schools in Massachusetts the right to teach homosexuality at will, without parents’ input, consent, or even knowledge. The Parkers are appealing.

GLSEN – Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network
Very powerful national homosexual group targeting children in schools. This is the group that organizes the horrific “Gay-straight alliance” clubs, homosexual school assemblies, the “Day of Silence”, in schools around the country, and annual GLSEN conferences pushing the most extreme homosexual topics and issues on vulnerable kids. 

PFLAG – Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays
Also in public schools around the country, and in many ways even more destructive than GLSEN. Very heavy into transgenderism and related behaviors. Recent PFLAG conference also teamed up with the “New England Leather Alliance” which promotes bondage and sado-machosism.

GLAD – Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders
Well-funded and influential Massachusetts homosexual legal group (partially funded from public money) which specializes in suing government agencies and businesses to force them to accept homosexuality, transgenderism, public sex, and related behaviors. This was the group behind the Goodridge decision on same-sex “marriage” and which is pushing the new “transgender rights and hate crimes” bill.

Piling on

These are just the latest pro-homosexual groups to be involved in the fight against David Parker (and all parents).

Pro-homosexual groups already involved in this case and continuing to fight against the Parkers include:

• American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
• Human Rights Campaign (national homosexual organization, which gets funding from major US corporations)
• Massachusetts Teachers Association
• Respecting Differences (Lexington activist group)

There is no question that the national homosexual movement considers this a major threat to their ability to go into the public schools and proselytize children without the parents having any power to stop them. This case has already received considerable national media attention that will undoubtedly continue. The Parkers’ lawyers have indicated that they are prepared to fight this as far up the judicial ladder as is necessary to win.

What’s next?

This week the Parkers are to submit their brief to the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Then, within approximately 40 days, the opposition will respond with their own brief. There will be a plaintiff’s response, and the judge will then decide whether to grant the appeal.
