To order “Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior Is Changing Everything,” through Amazon, go HERE.
Folks, this is a wonderful and important interview by my friend Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival’s with Robert Reilly, author of “Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior Is Changing Everything” [order through Amazon HERE]. The interview occurred July 4, 2014, which is appropriate as Mr. Reilly is an American patriot–having served this nation with distinction in the Armed Forces and in various esteemed positions including the director of Voice of America (2001-2002). Sadly, as Reilly states in this video, he would not even be considered for the top job at VOA–or any other government agency–today given the hysterical nature of pro-“gay” political correctness.
I’m finally reading “Making Gay Okay” and can already say that it is an immense contribution to the literature opposing the normalization of homosexuality in our culture. Go HERE to view the Ignatius Press page for the book. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH

Actor Gary Sinise, beer exec Pete Coors join Baier in withdrawing as speakers from Catholic businessmen’s group after homosexual blogger says Legatus is “very anti-gay”
Fox News’ pro-homosexual bias continues: A homosexual activist blogger charged the Catholic group Legatus with being “very anti-gay,” and within days Fox anchor Bret Baier pulled out as a speaker at a Legatus event scheduled for Jan. 28-29. Did the “conservative” network push Baier to pull out? In contrast to Baier (and actor Gary Sinise, who also cancelled as a speaker), Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ignored political correctness and is fulfilling his promise to speak at the same Catholic event. Call Fox News at 888-369-4762 (ext. #3); contact Baier HERE. Commend Gov. Jindal HERE (225-342-7015). And read Peter LaBarbera’s in-depth report on Fox News’ growing pro-homosexual bias HERE.
[Update: in an email sent to a subscriber to AFTAH’s e-newsletter, Bret Baier confirmed that his employer, Fox News, had asked him to pull out as a speaker at the Legatus summit. Baier said he agreed with the decision (story upcoming….)]
[Correction: we failed to note that Cardinal Timothy Dolan of the Archdiocese of New York joined Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal as among the original “big-name” speakers who did NOT pull out of the Legatus event.]

TAKE ACTION: Liberty Is At Stake:
1) Contact Fox News and Bret Baier: Call 888-369-4762; hit ext. #3. Contact Page (no form) HERE. E-mail: comments@foxnewsinsider.com. Contact Bret Baier [web page HERE] at special@foxnews.com. Express your deep concern at Fox and Special Report anchor Baier buckling to pro-homosexual activists by pulling out of the Catholic businessmen’s group Legatus’ Jan. 28-29 conference following a homosexual activist blogger’s report that the group is “very anti-gay.” AFTAH is speculating that Fox News—which annually gives sizeable donations to a homosexual journalists association—pressured Baier to withdraw from the Legatus event.
2) Thank Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal: Call 225-342-7015 [Contact page form HERE.] Of the big-name [secular] speakers invited by Legatus, Jindal is the only one not to cave in to the “Gay Thought Police.” Commend him for honoring his commitment and not capitulating like the others:
3) Contact Gary Sinise through his foundation: [Click HERE; Sinise’s Facebook page is HERE.] Sinise does wonderful work raising support for America’s veterans and defending freedom—but what good is liberty if Americans cower before Political Correctness and morality-phobic (and often anti-Christian) “gay” activists?
4) Contact Pete Coors through Coors Brewing: [Contact Page HERE] Coors was once known as the favorite beer of conservatives, but self-censorship and in the face of leftist pressure campaigns—rather than standing up for one’s beliefs–is hardly conservative.
5) Read my in-depth 2013 report on Fox News’ growing pro-“gay” bias – “Unfair, Unbalance & Afraid: Fox News Growing Pro-Homosexual Bias” –which I wrote for America’s Survival. The report documents Fox News’ troubling drift away from providing even balanced coverage on homosexual issues like —as well as the pro-homosexual remarks of Fox News contributors like Bernie Goldberg–who wrote an awful piece saying Jesus would probably support homosexual “marriage.” Read the report on PDF HERE and in standard web (HTML) format HERE.

Fox News Throws Catholic Businessmen’s Group Legatus Under the Bus
By Peter LaBarbera; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera
Dear AFTAH Readers,
It grieves me to report that Fox News “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier—of whom I am a fan–has pulled out of a speaking engagement for the conservative Catholic businessmen’s group Legatus–following a report by a homosexual activist blogger who labeled the organization “very anti-gay.”
Joining the Fox News “Special Report” anchor in withdrawing from the annual Legatus summit January 28-29 in Naples, Florida were conservative actor Gary Sinese and Coors Brewing Company Pete Coors. Louisiana Gov. Unlike these three men, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is honoring his commitment to address the Legatus summit [thank Jindal HERE; call him at the Louisiana governor’s office at 225-342-7015].
Legatus is a national Catholic businessmen’s organization with many local chapters across the nation, devoted to fostering “spiritual growth, formation and commitment” among its members. “Legatus” is the Latin word for “ambassador,” and the group seeks to help its members become “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20).
The Catholic Canadian pro-family website LifeSiteNews.com, which broke the story on the Fox News/Baier/Sinise capitulations, reported this about Legatus:
Legatus, which was begun by Domino’s Pizza founder Tom Monaghan in 1987 to network Catholic business leaders, is faithful to the Church’s Magisterium and therefore upholds the Church’s teachings on all moral matters including homosexuality.
But none of that mattered to New York City homosexual blogger and GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) writer Jeremy Hooper. What concerned Hooper as a professional “gay” activist is that Legatus upholds the longstanding Catholic teachings that homosexual behavior is “intrinsically disordered” and “contrary to the natural law.” The Catholic Church Catechism cites “Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity.” Such acts “do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity,” it states. “Under no circumstances can they be approved.” Regarding marriage: “Holy Scripture affirms that man and woman were created for one another.”
Hooper’s “Good As You” web post cites two Legatus writings: one opposing homosexual “civil unions,” the other defending ex-“gay” therapy for people trying to overcome homosexual feelings and temptations. Both of Hooper’s examples align with traditional Catholic teachings, and are reproduced at the bottom of this story.
Fox: Baier “unaware” of “controversy”
Fox News issued the following statement on behalf of Baier, as reported Tuesday by the website Raw Story (note the odd Raw Story headline intended to make the Legatus meeting look extreme):
“Bret Baier has withdrawn his participation as a speaker at the upcoming Legatus Summit due to the controversy surrounding some editorial stances in the organization’s magazine,” a statement from Fox News said. “Bret accepted the invitation to speak about his book, his faith, and his son’s congenital heart disease. He was unaware of these articles or the controversy surrounding them.”
Like many conservatives, I am an avid consumer of Fox News, and a fan of Baier’s evening show “Special Report,” with its “all star panel” including Charles Krauthammer—having watched easily over a thousand episodes. However, I have also exposed and documented the growing pro-homosexual bias at Fox News—in contradiction of its slogan (repeated nightly by Baier) to be “Fair, Balanced and Unafraid.” [See my report for America’s Survival HERE.]
Why would a professional journalist like Baier be “afraid” to honor his commitment to speak at a conservative Catholic event—especially since Baier himself is conservative and Catholic? And what do these latest capitulations say about the “Gay Thought Police’s” ability to intimidate people from living out their faith or moral worldview in the Public Square.

Peter LaBarbera is the founder and president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality.
This Crosstalk began with news that on December 22nd, a judge issued a ruling in a case involving Peter who was arrested while protesting with Bill Whatcott at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan. Peter was put in jail for one night and charged with criminal mischief. The charge was thrown out in the recent ruling. [See AFTAH article HERE.]
Jim then updated listeners with a statement from the pro-homosexual organization known as the Human Rights Campaign as they looked back at 2014. Peter followed up by noting that what the homosexual community couldn’t pass through the people, they attempted to obtain via the courts.
As the program continued, Jim had Peter comment on the following:
- Same-sex divorce;
- The increasing acceptance of polyamory;
- The push for special rights for transgender individuals;
- The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA);
- Homosexual bakers refusing to bake cakes for Christian weddings;
- Support for alternative family lifestyles through the product known as Tylenol and LGBT support from Walmart [see AFTAH story HERE];
- Tim Cook at Apple references God to justify his homosexuality [see AFTAH stories HERE and HERE];
- The Obama FDA and their desire to modify the homosexual blood donor rules;
- The arrest of homosexual activist (and Human Rights Campaign and Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund co-founder) Terry Bean for allegedly sodomizing a 15-year-old boy;[see AFTAH stories HERE]
- The LGBT influence in sports.

DISCRIMINATING IN THE NAME OF ‘NON-DISCRIMINATION”: Former Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran was fired by Mayor Kasim Reed after Cochran self-published a book that contained a couple of paragraphs explaining biblical sexual purity, which prohibits homosexual practice and sex outside of marriage. Folks, the firing of Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran Tuesday adds his name to the long and growing list of Christians who have suffered in the name of pro-“gay” nondiscrimination policies and laws.
Here is a link to an excellent article by FoxNews’ Todd Starnes on Cochran’s firing.
The excerpt below from Starnes’ piece cuts to the essence of why Cochran was first suspended and then fired by Atlanda Mayor Kasim Reed–a couple of paragraphs expressing biblical teachings on sexual purity! Starnes writes:
So what in the world did Cochran write that was so offensive to the mayor and the LGBT community?
According to the GA Voice, a publication that covers the LGBT community, there were two items that caused concern:
“Uncleanness – whatever is opposite of purity; including sodomy, homosexuality, lesbianism, pederasty, bestiality, all other forms of sexual perversion.”
“Naked men refuse to give in, so they pursue sexual fulfillment through multiple partners, with the opposite sex, the same sex, and sex outside of marriage and many other vile, vulgar and inappropriate ways which defile their body – temple and dishonor God.”
Cochran said he referenced homosexuality on less than a half a page in the 160-page book.
“I did not single out homosexuality,” he said. ‘I simply spoke to sex being created by God for pro-creation and He intended it to be between a man and a woman in holy matrimony – and that any other sex outside of that is sin.”
Cochran told me that someone within the department obtained a copy of the book and took it to openly-gay city council member Alex Wan.
Wan released a statement supporting Cochran’s termination and said it “sends a strong message to employees about how much we value diversity and how we adhere to a non-discriminatory environment.”

Jeb Bush: GOP Too “Anti-Gay”: Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush worries that Republicans come off as being too “anti-gay.” He said Floridians need to “respect the rule of law” after a Clinton-appointed judge struck down the state’s marriage-protection amendment, passed by 62 percent of the Sunshine State’s voters in 2008.

It is becoming apparent that Jeb Bush is the favorite Republican Party presidential contender of the Washington Blade—D.C.’s “gay news source”–due to his politically-correct evolution on homosexuality and same-sex “marriage.”
The Blade and other liberal media report favorably every time the former Florida governor moves away from the conservative, pro-family, Republican platform defending marriage as between man and woman.
On January 5, the “gay” Blade happily reported that Bush “struck a softer tone” with his nuanced response to District Judge Robert Hinkle’s overthrow of Florida’s pro-natural-marriage amendment, which had passed with 62 percent of the vote in 2008. Here is Bush’s wishy-washy reaction to the Clinton-appointed judge’s outrageous overreach:
“We live in a democracy, and regardless of our disagreements, we have to respect the rule of law…I hope that we can show respect for the good people on all sides of the gay and lesbian marriage issue – including couples making lifetime commitments to each other who are seeking greater legal protections and those of us who believe marriage is a sacrament and want to safeguard religious liberty.”
Rule of law? What rule of law?! Perhaps a few hundred thousand Republicans–of the 4,890,883 Florida voters who cast ballots to preserve the common-sense definition marriage–might demand an answer from Bush to this question:
“Why should we respect a judge’s ‘evolving-Constitution’ interpretation of the law when the same judge shows zero respect for We the People—as he arrogantly casts aside the people’s clearly expressed will against legalizing homosexuality-based ‘marriage’?”
Of course, such trivialities as rendering nearly five million Florida votes meaningless matter little to the “gay” Blade, whose reporter cooed:
“While [Bush’s] remarks don’t signal support for the right of same-sex couples to marry, they’re a shift in tone from comments the former Florida governor made to The Miami Herald in which he said states should decide the marriage issue. [Bush said:} ‘It ought to be a…state decision…The people of the state decided. But it’s been overturned by the courts, I guess.’”
A few weeks earlier, under the gushy headline, “Is Jeb a kindler, more gay-friendly Bush?” the Blade reported excitedly Bush’s complaint that Republicans come off as being too “anti-gay” (and anti-immigrant, etc.).

Josh Alcorn, who signed his name “Leelah Alcorn” in his suicide note. The boy’s mother said she had never heard her son use that name until reading the note. Click to enlarge.
By Laurie Higgins, first published by Illinois Family Institute 1/6/15
Is Theologically Orthodox Christianity to Blame for Josh Alcorn’s Suicide?
Tragically, three days after Christmas, 17-year-old Joshua Alcorn committed suicide by stepping into the path of a tractor-trailer. Josh suffered from both gender dysphoria and depression. He left behind a suicide note that lays the blame for his pain on those in society who reject the assumptions of the Left about gender confusion, including his Christian parents.
Josh was particularly upset that his parents did not support his decision to start “transitioning,” which is yet another deceitful Leftist term because it suggests that one can transition from one sex to the opposite sex—a claim the Left implicitly acknowledges is impossible. Their implicit acknowledgement comes in the form of changing the name of the surgical procedure that mutilates healthy bodies from “sex reassignment” surgery to “gender confirmation” surgery. Though such surgery does, indeed, provide confirmation of the presence of a serious delusion or disordered desire, it does not confirm any objective existential reality.
But perhaps Josh was wrong. Perhaps his parents motivated by love were right in standing firm for the truth that he was in reality a boy. Perhaps they had read inThe Guardian that “There is no conclusive evidence that sex change operations improve the lives of transsexuals, with many people remaining severely distressed and even suicidal after the operation, according to a medical review….of more than 100 international medical studies of post-operative transsexuals by the University of Birmingham’s aggressive research intelligence facility.”
Perhaps they had read about the study of 324 “sex-reassigned” men and women published in 2011 which found that they “have considerably higher risks for mortality, suicidal behaviour, and psychiatric morbidity than the general population.”
Or perhaps Josh’s parents had heard about the deep regret some men and women experience following their sex “reassignment” butchery.
The Left attributes to conservatives blame for the depression and suicidal ideation of both those who identify as “transgender” and those who identify as homosexual, and in so doing overlook other possible causes for the depression that these girls, boys, men, and women experience.
Perhaps the depression and suicidal ideation that gender-confused teens, post-op “transsexuals,” and homosexuals experience results in part from societal disapproval,* but perhaps their anguish results at least in part from apprehension of the truth that God has written on their hearts regarding homoerotic activity, cross-dressing, and bodily mutilation.

Pray that Cook will repent and turn from proud homosexualism
Attacking the Character of God to Rationalize My Sin: Last year Apple Inc CEO Tim Cook said he was “proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me.” AFTAH calls Cook’s insidious claim the “Biggest ‘Gay’ Lie of 2014.” See the OneNewsNow story HERE and AFTAH’s previous story on Cook HERE.
Folks, one of the odd things about the Homosexual and Transgender movements is that their “conservative” or “religious” branches are as revolutionary and subversive as those campy drag queens prancing down the streets of big cities every June celebrating “Pride.” Last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook called his newly-declared homosexuality “among the greatest gifts God has given me.” Yet the same Creator reveals in the Bible–whose authority deserves a lot more respect than Mr. Cook’s feelings–that homosexual behavior is an “abomination” (detestable). [See previous AFTAH story, “Absolute Truth vs. LGBTQ ‘My Truths’: Apple CEO Tim Cook’s Outrageous ‘Gay’ Claim and the Culture War.]
God cannot hate the sin of same-sex erotic behavior, and love homosexuality at the same time. And so AFTAH finds Tim Cook’s wildly contradictory and blasphemous assertion of a “God-given gayness gift” to be the Biggest “Gay” Lie of 2014. Below is a reprint of a story in AFA’s “One News Now”. Please pray for Tim Cook’s salvation–that he will believe in Christ and repent of (turn away from) his politically-correct sin of proud homosexualism. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH

Homosexuality is a gift from God? What a lie
By Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com), December 31, 2014
The CEO of Apple may have offended God in the way he described his homosexual lifestyle, says one pro-family activist.
After coming out this fall in a commentary in Businessweek, CEO Tim Cook said he was “proud to be gay” and said he considered his homosexuality “among the greatest gifts God has given me.”
Pointing to that statement, Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality calls it “beyond blasphemy” to claim something that God declared a sin and an abomination is a “gift” from Him instead.
LaBarbera said his organization has declared Cook’s suggestion the “biggest gay lie” of the year.
Cook has taken a page out of the playbook of homosexual activists, LaBarbera alleges, specifically from homosexual activists who use theology to rationalize their sin.
LaBarbera, Peter”But in doing so they’re attacking and assailing the character of God Himself,” says LaBarbera.
There is also the issue of Cook’s claiming knowledge of God and the Bible, since many homosexuals are also atheists who would mock a straight person who made religious claims about normal sexuality.
Even though Cook claimed he was “proud” of his homosexuality, The Washington Post noted that he “never explicitly addressed his sexual orientation,” even when he was asked about it by reporters.
LaBarbera suggests it’s bad enough that Cook, the CEO of a successful corporation, came out as homosexual. But now he has made matters worse for himself by directly challenging God and the Bible, he says.
