LISTEN: Part One – AFTAH Interview with Col. Dick Black

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

Ret. Col. Dick Black said that new rules for the military under President Obama have politicized and made more difficult the reporting of illegal homosexual misconduct.

This is Part One of our interview with decorated war hero and former Virginia state legislator Col. Dick Black. It aired on WYLL-Chicago Sept. 25, 2010. Col. Black is a decorated Marine (including a Purple Heart Medal, three Legions of Merit, the Army Staff General Badge and Naval Aviators’ Wings of Gold) who flew 269 combat helicopter missions in Vietnam. Later, he was commissioned as a Major in the JAG Corps and was responsible for criminal prosecutions. Col. Black has a unique understanding of the importance of maintaining the ban on homosexuality in the Armed Forces. He discusses the “pro-homosexual” elites in the military working to bring homosexuals into the ranks, and notes that ending the homosexual ban will result ultimately in more HIV-positive soldiers throughout the military – who end up being non-deployable. [Click HERE for interview.]

Col. Black and AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera also discuss the Democrats’ penchant for undermining the military and U.S. foreign policy – including the Democrat-led congressional cut-off of funding to American ally South Vietnam in the 1970s, which led to the triumph of the Communists in that country and the subsequent mass exodus of South Vietnamese “boat people” fleeing oppression. The U.S. aid cut-off also led to the ascendancy of Communist “Khmer Rouge” rebels in Cambodia led by the genocidal Pol Pot, who murdered millions of his own countrymen as part of his bizarre quest to achieve agrarian Marxism.

Will Our Military Stay Moral? Judge Orders Lesbian Reinstated to Air Force

Monday, September 27th, 2010

Dear Readers,

We hate to rely on a story by AP (Always Politically Correct), but our friends at AFA’s OneNewsNow did so and we will as well. I have not yet read the details of this latest homosexuals-in-the-military case. But I do know this: as with the rest of society, when everyday officers and servicemembers imbibe the “new” American morality (which is at its core merely a rejection of God and true, biblically-based morality) and defend open homosexuality in the ranks, it undermines the preservation of a noble military.

That is just another way of saying that a degraded military reflects a degraded society.

When the practice of homosexuality — once widely regarded as sinful and abhorrent, deviant, and a sign of bad character — becomes a trivial matter, it is not surprising that efforts to disconnect it from punishment will gain in popularity. These efforts will be abetted by corrupt, liberal judges who yearn to make law — not interpret it — because … well, because they think they’re smarter than the rest of us, and even smarter than lawmakers. Hence the successful “gay” campaign to decriminalize anti-sodomy laws. (Cunning homosexual activists took it up a notch by making their favored perversion the basis for a new brand of “civil rights” — one that apparently even supersedes the rights of moral citizens to act based on their disagreement with this disordered lifestyle.)

America does not need a post-moral military, but it may be what we deserve. The irony is that if President Obama and his determined “queer” allies succeed in turning our Armed Forces into a driving force for immorality, it will only hasten the deterioration of our culture to the point, ultimately, where weapons and soldiers cannot save us from oblivion. If America rejects God, her prospects are dim. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

Archbishop Broglio Rebukes Homosexualist Fraud ‘Catholics for Equality’

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

From Bill Donohue and the Catholic League:

September 22, 2010

“CATHOLIC GAY” GROUP REBUKED

His Excellency, Timothy Broglio, the Archbishop for the Military Services, released a statement to the Catholic News Agency responding to a letter from Catholics for Equality; the gay advocacy group pleaded with him to support the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue spoke to this issue today:

On June 1, Archbishop Broglio released an excellent statement recounting the Catholic Church’s opposition to homosexuality. He called on Catholic chaplains in the armed forces to show respect for the dignity of homosexuals, but he also implored them to “never condone—even silently—homosexual behavior.”

On September 17, a new dissident group, Catholics for Equality, wrote a letter to the archbishop that was not only critical of his Catholic position, it reeked with smugness and arrogance: “We are ready to help you and Catholic chaplains in the transition to full acceptance of gays and lesbians in the military and respectfully request a meeting with you….” So thoughtful of these malcontents to offer their help in transitioning the bishop to oppose the Catholic Church’s teachings on sexuality.

QUOTE: Lady Gaga Wants to ‘Turn the World Gay’

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Perverse pop star wants to “inject gay culture into the mainstream”

Lada Gaga on the cover of OUT magazine. Click to enlarge.

From the homosexualist magazine OUT, September 2009, “The Lady Is a Vamp,” p. 113 (Gaga’s quotes in blue, emphasis added by AFTAH):

Her devotion to gay culture is unparalleled by any other artist operating at her level of visibility or success. “When I started in the mainstream it was the gays that lifted me up,” she says. “I committed myself to them and they committed themselves to me, and because of the gay community I’m where I am today.” Earlier this year, in her acceptance speech for her MuchMusic award for best international video, Lady Gaga thanked “God and the gays.” Before agreeing to tour with Kanye West this fall, Gaga told the rapper, “I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I’m gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay.” That’s another clause in the Gagaland constitution: Gay culture shall gush undiluted into the rapids of society. It shall not be co-opted, fancified, dolled up, or Uncle Tommed. “I very much want to inject gay culture into the mainstream,” she says, “It’s not an underground tool for me. It’s my whole life. So I always sort of joke the real motivation is to just turn the world gay.”

LISTEN: Part Three – AFTAH Interview with Prof. Rob Gagnon

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

Prof. Rob Gagnon at AFTAH Truth Academy.

Part 3 of our interview with Prof. Rob Gagnon (www.robgagnon.net) of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary [click HERE to play]. This aired Sept. 18, 2010. Gagnon calls various “gay theological” attempts to homosexualize loving, platonic same-sex biblical relationships such as David’s and Jonathan’s in the Old Testament as desperate “Hail Mary” passes that have no basis in Scripture (see this post on the website “GayChristian101″). He debunks the claim that biblical prohibitions against same-sex erotic love are as trivial as those against the Jews wearing certain types of clothing (the “polyester” argument). And Gagnon addresses those — like Grove City College professor (and de facto “gay” activist) Warren Throckmorton — who profess biblical orthodoxy on homosexuality yet support pro-homosexual public policy goals such as “civil unions.” Gagnon spoke at the AFTAH Truth Academy in August. Go HERE for Part 2 of the Gagnon interview and HERE for Part 1.

Thank You, John McCain! Republicans Block Repeal of Military’s Homosexual Exclusion Law

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Arkansas Democrats Lincoln and Pryor join united GOP in turning back massive LGBT blitz for “gays” in military

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)

America owes a debt of gratitude to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for leading the fight against the Democratic leadership’s destructive and reckless attempt to homosexualize the military by ending the ban on homosexual servicemen. Allowing open homosexuality in the Armed Services would turn the military into a massive, “gay”-promoting bureaucracy — eroding morale and driving moral-minded soldiers and sailors out of the service. See the Defense Authorization bill vote tally HERE. Contact Sen. McCain via his online contact form HERE. We tried calling Sen. McCain in his D.C. office (phone: 202-224-2255; fax: 202-228-2862) but the voicemail was full. You can reach his local offices HERE. And go to this page to read McCain’s previous floor statement against the repeal effort. McCain has occasionally disappointed conservatives in the past, but in this case he stood strong and defeated a huge potential threat to our nation — extending well beyond national security. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

Republicans block bill to lift military gay ban

By ANNE FLAHERTY, Associated Press Writer, 9-21-10

WASHINGTON – Senate Republicans on Tuesday blocked an effort to repeal the ban on gays from serving openly in the military, handing gay rights groups a defeat in their last chance any time soon to overturn the law known as “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

Democrats fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance the legislation, which authorized $726 billion in defense spending. The vote was 56-43.

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, had been seen as the crucial 60th vote because she supports overturning the military ban. But Collins sided with her GOP colleagues in arguing that Republicans weren’t given sufficient leeway to offer amendments to the wide-ranging policy bill.

The vote fell mostly along party lines, although Sens. Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, both D-Ark., sided with Republicans to block the bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., also voted against the measure as a procedural tactic. Under Senate rules, casting his vote with the majority of the Senate enables him to revive the bill at a later date.

Most Important Gay Vote ever: Reid, Democrats Go ‘Gaga’ for ‘Gays’ in the Military

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Sexual radical Lady Gaga gets serious when it comes to promoting open homosexuality in the military

Lady Gaga poses naked and with a simulated bloody mouth on the cover of OUT, a homosexualist magazine. Gaga is using her pop culture power to overturn the ban on homosexuality in the Armed Forces. See article for resources for understanding the military's common-sense homosexual exclusion policy, and Lady Gaga's Senate lobbying video. Click on photo to enlarge.

TAKE ACTION NOW: Call your U.S. Senators immediately [202-224-3121; www.senate.gov] and urge them to vote against the Defense Authorization Act (SB 3454) containing an amendment repealing the military’s common-sense homosexual exclusion ban. The vote, orchestrated by Majority Leader Harry Reid,  is this afternoon. This is perhaps the most important homosexuality-related congressional vote in U.S. history. Urge support for Sen. John McCain’s filibuster of this radical change in military policy that would lead to the exodus of good men and women from the Armed Forces — and result in the persecution of chaplains and people of faith, merely because they oppose homosexual behavior or do not think homosexuality and “gay” politics belong in the military. You must let your voice be heard as homosexual groups and sexual radicals like Lady Gaga — encouraged by the liberal media — are flooding the Senate with calls in favor of allowing open homosexuals in the military.

Educate yourself on the common-sense Homosexual Exclusion Ban:

Sen. Reid Goes ‘Gaga’ over Homosexuals in the Military

By Peter LaBarbera

Folks, you know as well as I that the media — and apparently Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid  — are absolutely “ga ga” over “gays in the military.” (Reid recenly ‘tweeted’ in support of pop mega-star Lady Gaga — freakishly photographed nude on the cover of the “gay” magazine OUT above — after she urged her millions of followers to lobby the Senate to support homosexuals in the military.)

This is what we’re up against — not just for today’s critical vote on homosexuals in the military (commonly misnamed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”) but in trying to preserve truth for younger Americans who are, in effect, brainwashed on homosexuality. (And that is hardly an overstatement given the level of ignorance about the LGBT agenda that we’re seeing, even among Christian and pro-life youths.)
