Folks, we find ourselves in a political/cultural universe in which Western leftist and LGBTQueer activists are playing cut-throat, power politics with information and speech itself. They are pressuring politically correct corporations to essentially block biblical conservatives from engaging in the modern Public Square. And they usually succeed.
The latest outrage in this regard is Amazon’s capitulation to a British “gay” fanatic to stop selling the published works of the late Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, who popularized the notion of “Reparative Therapy” to help people overcome unwanted homosexual attractions and gender confusion. The following is an excellent piece by my friend Dr. Michael Brown on the Amazon story–although I think it would take a massive amount of pushback for this mega-corporation to reverse itself and reinstate the ex-“gay” books because that would then touch off the wrath of LGBTQ activists. That’s because–let’s face it–leftists are far more adept at and committed to pressure-politics than religious conservatives:

Will Amazon Ban the Bible Next?

In a very disturbing move, Amazon has removed the books of Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, the psychologist whom critics have dubbed “the father of conversion therapy.”
In other words, for claiming that sexual orientation is not innate and immutable, and for claiming that change is possible, Dr. Nicolosi’s books must be banned.
This leads to the logical question: Will Amazon ban the Bible next? There is no hyperbole here.
After all, it is the Bible that condemns same-sex relationships, and the Bible that speaks of those who once practiced homosexuality but do so no more (see 1 Cor. 6:9-11). These people, today, would be known as “ex-gays.” And it was Dr. Nicolosi’s life work to help people with unwanted same-sex attractions.
Why, then, should Amazon ban his books but continue to sell the Bible, which provides the theological underpinnings for Dr. Nicolosi’s scientific work?
After all, gay critics of the Bible refer to the so-called “clobber passages,” referring to verses which have been used to speak against homosexual practice. If these verses, then, have brought such harm to the gay community, why shouldn’t the book containing these verses be banned?
Not only so, but there are numerous books on Amazon written by ex-gays, sharing their wonderful stories of transformation. Will their books be banned next?
And what about the books that come to different scientific conclusions than the LGBT activists and their allies? And the books that challenge the goals of LGBT activism in society? And the books that reiterate the Scriptural prohibition of same-sex relationships?
Will those books be banned next?
What makes this especially frightening is that it appears that one man, Rojo Alan, based in England, was responsible for getting the books removed.
As reported on Pink News, at first, after sharing his concerns in writing, he got no response from either Amazon or the British outlet, Wordery. But after he posted his concerns on Facebook, he got an immediate response from Wordery, which quickly pulled Nicolosi’s writings.
Amazon, however, claimed that the books did not violate their guidelines.
Alan explains that “since then, I had been working on getting these books pulled. I contacted Amazon regularly to speak to them about the books, about how unethical they are.”
He “used social-media sites to ask people to leave bad reviews of the books, and also began researching the ways in which they violated Amazon’s rules of publishing.”
And, he continues, “Once I gathered everything I went back to Amazon and I threw all the information I had at them in several conversations. Yet I was given the same ‘we will refer this to the relevant team.'”
Not long after this, the books were removed, and Alan was moved to tears.
Of course, I could produce scores of testimonies from former patients of Dr. Nicolosi who were greatly helped by his counsel. Some experienced profound changes in their attractions. Others were freed from shame and self-harm. That’s why he remained in demand until his sudden passing in 2017.
Why don’t these voices matter?
I could also produce literature from liberal psychologists like the lesbian activist Dr. Lisa Diamond, who argues strongly that sexual orientation is fluid.
But that is not the real issue here. The issue is one of banning books that violate certain guidelines, in this case, guidelines created by LGBT activists. Amazon is now playing a very dangerous game of censoring that which is not politically correct. Where will that lead next?
Amazon carries thousands of books (perhaps, several hundred thousand books) that many readers find harmful and distasteful. Amazon carries a staggering array of material that offends many buyers or raises serious concerns among others.
There are books that encourage behaviors I believe are destructive. There are books and other materials that attack and mock ideologies which are sacred to me. Should Amazon ban these books too?
Should Amazon ban books encouraging atheism and mocking the Bible? Or, conversely, should Amazon ban books challenging Darwinian evolution?
Should Amazon ban books that encourage sexual experimentation and the casting off of conservative morals? Or, conversely, should Amazon ban books that decry the dangers of legalized marijuana?
Should Amazon ban books that lead people into religious cults? Or, conversely, should it ban books that help people get out of these cults?
Should Amazon ban books that provide unhealthy food recipes? Or, conversely, should it ban books that encourage healthy eating and potentially “fat-shame” people?
To repeat: Amazon has crossed a very dangerous, precarious line. It needs to make an immediate about-face, admitting its error and making Dr. Nicolosi’s books available again.
The readers can decide what to buy and what not to buy.
It’s one thing if a book encouraged illegal, life-threatening behavior, as in a terrorist’s manual for making a bomb.
It’s another thing when a book, written by a respected psychologist, is banned because it violates LGBT sensibilities. Is this also a fruit of Amazon working with the notoriously left-leaning SPLC?
I have been a long-term Amazon customer, purchasing tens of thousands of dollars of books from them over the years, along with everything ranging from computers to headphones to random household items. As an author, I also recognize the importance of selling books on Amazon and getting good reviews written. And for me, personally, Amazon’s customer service has been second to none.
All the more, then, do I appeal to Amazon: please set this right.
We know Jeff Bezos supports the LGBT cause, and that’s his prerogative. But when political leanings influence censorship decisions, we move a step closer to burning books in the streets.

Folks, I don’t think the average American thinks that much about “gay [homosexual] pride,” much less has any pertinent knowledge about its historical development in the USA. The history is telling, though, as it is a window into the soul of our nation and our collective moral decline, indeed, the decline of a great civilization.
A Sin Movement prospers only when righteousness (the Church) falters. On Monday I was interviewed by my friend Jim Schneider at Christian VCY America radio, for his show “Crosstalk”[click HERE to listen; order a CD of it HERE]. We raced through decades of post-Stonewall homosexual/transgender activism–how it advanced using cunning lies (e.g., the “10 Percent” and “Born that Way” myths), and how it was abetted every step of the way by the sycophantic “mainstream” media. In recent years that same media have become a mere arm of the LGBTQueer Lobby, pursuing quite effectively their shared goal of “mainstreaming” sex and gender deviance in the culture.
Always remember that despite the flood of LGBTQ perversion on display, especially during this “Pride Month” (June), biblical Truth is not subjective nor is it swayed by cultural trends and politics: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). It was 50 years ago, June 28, 1969, when police raided the Stonewall Inn, an underground venue for homosexuals who fought back and rioted; perhaps the catalyst for the rampant advancement we are seeing today of the LGBTQIA+ movement and the accompanying political agenda.
What was once shameful is now considered pride. What once was considered a mental disorder alongside pedophilia and zoophilia is now considered ‘normal.’ What was once done in the closet is now paraded on the streets.
Here to discuss ‘Stonewall: 50 Years Later’ and what we are witnessing today was Peter LaBarbera. Peter is the founder and president of Americans for Truth, a non-partisan, educational group dedicated to exposing the homosexual-bisexual-transgender activist agendas.
Peter began by noting that while there was homosexual advocacy going on prior to Stonewall, he feels that what took place in June of 1969 was the beginning of the ‘in your face’ gay revolution that we’ve become used to.
According to Peter, Stonewall was a very seedy, mafia-run bar. There were police payoffs that allowed it to operate in Greenwich Village, New York. It was raided on that late June day with bricks being thrown at police.
Ironically, the homosexual community tries to use this incident to create equivalency with the Black civil rights movement. Stonewall preceded and launched the ‘in your face’ activism that’s taken place over the years and which the media and corporate America has capitulated to.
Gay activism pressured and prodded to the point that eventually the American Psychological Association (APA) normalized homosexuality. As Jim noted, in 1973, the APA removed homosexuality from the DSM-2 (The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders).
Jim continued with the historical gay timeline. Below are just some of the dates and Peter described what took place:
–November 27th, 1978 in San Francisco. Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk were shot and killed by a former supervisor. Milk is now an icon for homosexuals.
–On October 14th of 1979, the first national march on Washington for lesbian and gay rights took place.
–June 5th, 1982, was the date of the first official documentation of AIDS.
–June 28th, 1993, President Bill Clinton’s ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy goes into effect.
–March 15th, 2000, The State of Vermont passed the first law allowing for civil unions and registered partnerships.
–May of 2004—For the first time, same-sex marriage laws were passed in Massachusetts.
–June 28th, 2015, the Supreme Court issued their decision in the case of Obergefell v. Hodges, stating that so-called, same-sex marriage is a constitutional right.
–World Pride is taking place this summer in New York City.

Blaming God for his sin: Democrat Pete Buttigieg claims God made him homosexual.
CHICAGO — Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH.org), issued the following statement today about potential Democratic presidential candidate and former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s recent comments about God, homosexuality and Vice President Pence:
Mayor Pete Buttigieg is a living, walking and breathing example of the politicized sham that is religious-left “Christianity” today. He claims that God created him as a homosexual—a self-serving blasphemy as audacious as it is biblically nonsensical. (And science has refuted his “born gay” crutch.)
Buttigieg quotes Scripture even as he defies it with his very public, and very fake, “marriage” to another man (See in the Bible: Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 1: 24-27; Jude 7; 1 Timothy 1:8-10; Leviticus 18:22). (Redefining marriage to accommodate sexual perversion is beyond the Supreme Court’s pay grade.)
Predictably, “Mayor Pete” has quickly become the darling of a media who incessantly promote all things “gay” and “trans”—and who loathe socially conservative Christians who actually believe the Bible in humility, and fear God in reverence.
The simple truth is that homosexual behaviors are wrong, unnatural, and often unhealthy—yet can be overcome through the grace and power of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6), as testified by countless ex-“gays” and former “transgenders.” No faithful Christian proudly identifies by his or her besetting sins, nor seeks to justify them before a holy God.
Vice President Mike Pence—a favorite target of Buttigieg and self-righteous LGBTQ political bullies—has been intimidated into silence, but he would do well to respond to the absurdities that flow out of Mayor Pete’s lips on a daily basis. Buttigieg claims that Pence has a “quarrel … with my Creator” because he opposes the aggressively anti-freedom, anti-Christian LGBTQ agenda. But it is Buttigieg himself who is defiantly living out his own quarrel with God every time he proudly celebrates his sexual sin and, worse, uses God to justify it—man’s ultimate folly.
Christians should pray that Pete Buttigieg repents of his proud homosexuality and dedicates himself to serving Christ in Truth—rather than mocking Him for political gain.

Very “Queer” History: The above book by the late homosexual activist Charles Shively uses some outrageous and crass historical interpretation methods to contend that Abraham Lincoln was a homosexual (a).nd male lover of his best friend, Joshua Speed). It inspired another homosexual activist, C.A. Tripp, to write an entire book, “The Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln,” asserting the tendentious Lincoln-gay theory, which has been debunked by genuine Lincoln scholars.

“Progressives,” also known as cultural regressives, have long had their sights on the hearts, minds, and bodies of other people’s children. Now that they control Big Government schools, regressives can control the ideas to which children are exposed. And boy, oh, boy are regressive Illinois lawmakers going for broke—morally speaking. They’ve already achieved fiscal bankruptcy.
Regressives in the ethical swamp known as Springfield are stampeding forward to impose the “LGBT” indoctrination bill regardless of whether it makes Orthodox Jewish, Muslim, theologically orthodox Christian, or secular conservative kids feel “unsafe” or whether it deeply offends those children’s parents. To heck with inclusivity. It’s the leftist low way or the highway.
If passed, this bill (HB 246)—which was created by three homosexual activist organizations—will require all students in k-12 public schools to be taught about the “roles and contributions” of homosexuals and opposite-sex impersonators. A quick, thoughtless skim of the bill might lead someone to think it’s innocuous. Critical analysis and deeper reflection—not the strengths of Springfield swamp creatures—expose the noxiousness of the bill.
The notion that homosexuality is the ontological flipside of and morally equivalent to heterosexuality is an arguable, leftist assumption—not an inarguable, objective fact. Others believe homosexuality represents a disordering of the sex drive. Government schools—supported by the hard-earned money of all taxpayers—have no ethical or pedagogical obligation or right to base curricular decisions on arguable, controversial assumptions—not even assumptions leftists really, really, really believe are true.
In order to teach all children in grades k-12 about the roles and contributions of homosexuals and cross-dressers, lawmakers and school leaders must have first determined that there is nothing morally questionable about homosexuality and cross-sex impersonation. To prove that’s the case, ask yourselves if Illinois lawmakers would pass a bill that requires schools to teach about the roles and contributions of polyamorists, polygamists, kin-lovers, or zoophiles.
We all know they wouldn’t. If there were a polyamorist, kin-lover, or zoophile who had contributed something monumentally significant—so significant that it must be discussed—educators would talk about the contribution, while remaining mum about the contributor’s sexual peccadillo. If the peccadillo were brought up, teachers certainly wouldn’t describe it positively.
