Homosexual Hate Speech
Wednesday, November 15th, 2006
By Peter LaBarbera
The National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, a leftist homosexual organization, honored Frank Kameny at its 2006 Creating Change conference Nov. 8-12 in Kansas City, Missouri. At the event, Kameny referred to Christians with venom, calling them “Christianofascists” and “nutty fundamentalists,” according to an Americans For Truth reporter who attended the conference and heard his acceptance speech.
The author of the “gay is good” slogan, Kameny–whose papers have just been accepted by the Library of Congress and the National Museum of American History–also told conference attendees that “gay is moral and virtuous,” as part of his ongoing crusade to redefine ancient moral truths through catchy activist slogans.
I’ve known Kameny for years. I respect his zeal, but loathe his ideology, just as he loathes mine. He is brilliant but wasted his considerable intellect and talents on homosexual activism, which is a shame. Like others in the pro-family movement, I have been on the receiving end of Kameny’s angry and pointed letters, or should I say screeds, in which–if my memory serves–he would repeat his patented slogan, “Gay is good,” followed by, “Gay is godly. You are neither.” Kameny is a feisty old bird who agreed to sit down with me and Ken Ervin for an extended interview back when Ken and I were both working at Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. One of the things we learned in that interview is that Kameny is an atheist, which makes his “gay is godly” assertion a tad disingenuous. But hey, anything to advance the homosexual cause, right?
From the Smithsonian website: Dr. Franklin Kameny presents a picket sign to Brent D. Glass, Director of the National Museum of American History and Harry Rubenstein, Chair and Curator, Division of Politics and Reform, National Museum of American History. Photo: Harold Dorwin
We’ll have more about Frank Kameny later, but suffice it to say that this man with a penchant for anti-Christian bigotry and questionable sloganeering does not deserve to be honored as a “civil rights” pioneer by America’s national library. Somehow my mind just can’t get around the idea of putting Dr. Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks and Harriet Tubman in the same category, historically speaking, with a homosexual and “fervent atheist” who says “gay is godly” and “gay is moral and virtuous,” just to sock it to the Christians.
TAKE ACTION – If you agree that Frank Kameny’s dishonorable legacy and outspoken bigotry against Christians is not worthy to stand alongside the noble legacy of great Americans like Frederick Douglass, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln, please call or write these officials:

Well, here you have it: some Wisconsin homosexual activists testify below to the lies and unethical campaign tactics used by the “gay” activist group “Fair Wisconsin” in trying to derail the state’s Marriage Protection Amendment. This corroborates reports that we heard from Wisconsin of citizens outraged that the homosexual group was intentionally misleading voters into thinking that a NO vote was PRO-marriage (in truth, a YES vote was FOR the Marriage Amendment.)
Despite their dirty tricks and deceptions–and the fact that pro-homosexual lobby in Wisconsin outspent pro-family forces 10-1 in this campaign–the amendment passed easily, by 59-41 percent. This in the very first state to enact a “sexual orientation” law (back in 1982). Who says the homosexual movement’s triumph is inevitable?– Peter LaBarbera

I am not going to take the time to read all of this but… YOU LIED… to so many people… YOU LIED to people who where going to vote no and TRICKED them into voting yes… YOU CALLED PEOPLE AND TOLD THEM TO VOTE NO IF THEY WANTED TO KEEP MARRIAGE BETWEEN ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN… FAIR WISCONSIN DESTROYED GAY COUPLES FUTURES BECAUSE THEY LIED… YOU LIED… YOU FLAT OUT LIED TO THE PEOPLE OF THIS STATE… Why lie… all we want is the truth… Fair WISCONSIN made us out to be fakes… phoneys… and fair WISCONSIN hurt the gay community SEVERELY… NEVER TO BE FORGIVEN… I would like to see Fair Wisconsin Retired… and will not rest until that happens… NO BODY that sticks up for me is going to go around and LIE…
At 2:05 PM, Miss Judy said……I think that Skippy’s comments are histrionic; however, I think Matt’s comment should not be ignored. The campaign was a mainstream – Democrat-style political campaign. As such, I think compromises were made in the name of perceived political expediency. Although we did indeed talk of gay and lesbian couples and their families, much of the campaign downplayed ‘queerness’ and focused on the effects the amendment would have on “all non-married couples”, i.e., straight folks. It’s a dicey path to walk – on the one hand we were asking people to expand their hearts and consciousness and really question why they are so afraid of queer folks; on the other hand we were in effect saying “Don’t think about homosexuals if they creep you out; think about how this would affect ‘normal’ people,” thus tacitly accepting homophobia.
Could we have waged a successful campaign without making these compromises? Probably not. However, we still need to look at these issues head-on, engage in constructive self-criticism and consider their effects, not just dismiss them as givens or necessary evils.

I won’t hide my anger at my life being politicized and I won’t hide my hatred of all those who have done so. I’m not strong enough to keep myself from it. But, this is only directed at those who knew what they were doing, and hid behind the face of their religion and used phrases like “protecting marriage from being redifined” to mask their bigotry and ignorance. I pity all the others who voted “yes” out of confusion and because they were directed to do so by their churches. With education, those people can be reached in the future. It is the truly hateful people that will lose out in the end, because I believe that they are vocal and powerful now, but small in number. The youth of today truly will bring a bright future. They are more enlightened in what is truly good and right in society, and they will overcome the bigots and religious zealots in time.

From our good friends at MassResistance…
A prominent staff member of a high-profile gay “youth outreach” organization that works closely with several state agencies and distributes literature in public schools across the state has posted a video of himself dressed in drag depicting Lt. Governor Kerry Healy as a lesbian.
Mark Snyder is office manager at Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth. He has testified at the State House for BAGLY on behalf of the expansion of homosexual programs in the public schools. BAGLY works closely with number of state agencies including the Massachusetts Department of Education and the Governor’s Commission for Gay and Lesbian Youth, and the Governor’s Task Force on Hate Crimes, is linked to from various government websites, and has apparently received state funding for several years.
In the video (WATCH IT ONLINE HERE), which Snyder posted and linked on his web site, appears to be a mock political ad, where Snyder, dressed in drag, says:
“Hi, I’m Kerry Healy and I have a message for the voters of Massachusetts. My opponents may try to paint me as one-dimensional but in fact I have a varied personality. Did you know that I’m a raging bull-dyke? I don’t just make muffins. I eat muff. I’m Kerry Healy and I approved this message.”
“If these are the people working with state agencies to counsel our children, then we’ve got some huge problems in the Massachusetts government,” said Brian Camenker, director of MassResistance. “When are people going to wake up? This is not just incredibly outrageous, it’s really pretty sick. And when is the Boston media going to take this seriously, instead of ignoring it?”
“Is anyone going to ask why people like this are being allowed to interact with children, and why these groups are involved with our government?” added Camenker.
A main focus of BAGLY is “transgenderism“. Much of its materials and activities revolve around encouraging kids to explore dressing up and acting like the opposite sex, and ultimately considering medical procedures to “become” the opposite sex, by having female breasts and male sex organs surgically removed and by taking various hormones. (The executive director of the group is an openly transsexual “male-to-female”.)

Allyson Smith, a San Diego Catholic pro-life and pro-family advocate, and writer for Americans For Truth, wrote the following open letter to Father Steve Meriwether of Most Holy Redeemer Church in San Francisco:
Sent Oct 30, 2006:
Father Meriwether,
Words fail to express my outrage at finding out that you are allowing the blasphemous sodomite drag queens, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, to use Most Holy Redeemer (located at 100 Diamond Street, Castro District, San Francisco) for their perverted, pornographic bingo games. You are not only the pastor of MHR, you are the CHANCELLOR of the San Francisco Archdiocese!
Sister Bea Attitude, Sister Merry Peter, Sister Sister Edith Myflesh, Sister Chastity Boner
How could you – how dare you – allow these perverts to desecrate Most Holy Redeemer by openly parading their abominable homosexual vice in the very same building where the true Most Holy Redeemer, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is present in His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity?
Are you out of your mind – or do you find nothing wrong with this? Do you approve of sodomy, one of the sins that cries out to Heaven for vengeance, and of allowing open sodomites to desecrate our Lord’s Real Presence and His temple? It certainly appears so, as I just called your church and a staffer there, Joey, confirmed that you are aware of these activities and that they are taking place with your approval.
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence make endless mockery of our Lord’s sacrifice at Calvary and of good, faithful nuns who spend their lives in prayerful, selfless service to the Church. They openly display their perversion in public streets during “gay pride” parades — and now, apparently, in your own parish. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!
According to an article last month in the San Francisco Bay Times, the SPI bingo games include sexual “punishments” for participants whose cell phones ring or who call a false bingo.

I think you will agree that there is a huge double-standard in the way the media covers victims, “hate crimes” and news in general. Some victims are Politically Correct; others are not. The liberal media sensationalized the murder of homosexual Matthew Shepard, which was shamelessly exploited by “gay” groups to promote national “hate crimes” legislation. Meanwhile, when a deranged homosexual man murders a Chicago Catholic and mother of four, Mary Stachowicz, it goes largely uncovered. Shepard is a household name, but try asking a friend or co-worker if they’ve ever heard of Mary Stachowicz and you’ll likely get a “Mary who?” in response. (Or do a Google search comparing the two victims’ names and see how many stories come up.)
Now the public defender for Mary’s murderer, Nicholas Gutierrez, is arguing that Mary was the aggressor, saying she became enraged to the point of violence over his homosexual lifestyle. I trust that this appeal to ugly anti-Christian bigotry – the legal equivalent of spitting on Mary’s grave – will not sway the jury. Think of what Mary’s husband Jerry, four kids and extended family and friends went through yesterday having to listen to this slander from her murderer’s Public Defender. I was at the trial and saw the stocky, roughly six-foot-tall Gutierrez in the courtroom: how ridiculous to think he was threatened by a 51-year-old woman who was known for her religious devotion!
Now imagine how differently this would have been reported had it been a 51-year-old Chicago lesbian, respected in her community, who was stabbed and beaten and raped, then stuffed in a crawl space by a crazed straight man. It’s simply unthinkable that the media would not lavish coverage on such a case.
Today’s online Chicago Sun-Times headline about the Gutierrez murder trial was, “Defense: Killing Payback for Gay Taunts.” It should have been: “Prosecutor Calls Gay Killer of Catholic Mother of Four a “Monster,” Cites DNA Evidence of Rape.” But at least the Sun-Times covered the case (I saw nothing on the Tribune’s website). – Peter LaBarbera
TAKE ACTION – Call or write your local media and ask them to cover the murder trial of Nicholas Gutierrez, who killed Mary Stachowicz, with the same interest that they covered the trial of the Matthew Shepard’s murderers. Here is the contact info for the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times:
AN AMERICANS FOR TRUTH PRESS RELEASE
Sun-Times leads story with outrageous “anti-homophobe” defense as most media ignore trial
CHICAGO—Cook Co. Assistant State’s Attorney Jim McKay yesterday described (homosexual) Chicago man Nicholas Gutierrez’s “ferocious” 2002 murder of a pious, 51-year-old Catholic mother of four, Mary Stachowicz—saying he also raped Mary in addition to stabbing, strangling and beating her, then stuffed her bloody body in a crawl space under the floor of his apartment.
“There is a monster in the courtroom today,” McKay said, describing how Gutierrez stabbed Stachowicz so many times that he bent the tip of his hunting knife. Gutierrez then allegedly wrapped her body in sheets and covered her head in a plastic bag before hiding her, as Mary’s family and friends searched frantically for her for three days.
After McKay laid out the state’s case, including finding Gutierrez’s DNA in Stachowicz’s vagina and anus, Gutierrez’s public defender, Crystal Marchigiani, claimed that it was Stachowicz who attacked Gutierrez: “It happened because she could not leave him alone in his [homosexual] lifestyle.”
Marchigiani said that on the day of her death, November 13, 2002, Stachowicz confronted Gutierrez at the Sikorsky Funeral Home where Mary worked and where Gutierrez once was employed. (He lived in an apartment above the funeral home with his male friend, Ray.) She said Mary angrily pressed Gutierrez with the question, “Why do you sleep with boys?” and then followed Gutierrez upstairs to his room before physically attacking him.
All the while, the stocky Gutierrez, who appeared to be about six feet tall, sat in the courtroom. One of Mary Stachowicz’s sisters left the room in disgust after hearing Marchigiani launch her shocking defense.
Americans For Truth President Peter LaBarbera responded: “The Gutierrez defense team’s Politically Correct courtroom ploy ought to be called the ‘Anti-Homophobe Panic Defense.’ Marchigiani’s is an ugly attempt to exploit the liberal caricature of Christians who oppose homosexuality as crazed haters with a penchant for aggression.
“So here we see a new defense tactic: stoking the flames of anti-Christian bigotry to save a ‘gay’ murderer from the punishment he deserves,” LaBarbera said.
The Gutierrez trial continues today at 11:00 AM in Room 700 of the Criminal Court Building, 2600 S. California Ave., in Chicago.
In its small story about the Gutierrez murder trial, the Chicago Sun-Times ran with this headline: “Defense: Killing Payback for Gay Taunts.”

The following is excerpted from Defense: Killing Payback for Gay Taunts (‘She could not leave him alone’), by Stefano Esposito, published Oct 27, 2006, in Chicago Sun-Times:
Nicholas Gutierrez killed a 51-year-old mother of four and church volunteer only after she beat and tormented him because he was gay, Gutierrez’s attorney told a Cook County jury Thursday.
“It happened because she could not leave him alone in his lifestyle,” attorney Crystal H. Marchigiani said in opening statements…

This excerpt is from Trial Begins in Funeral Home Slaying, published Oct 27, 2006, in Chicago Tribune:
Assistant Public Defender Crystal H. Marchigiani told jurors that Stachowicz, a mother of four and a church volunteer, instigated the attack by following Gutierrez upstairs and bullying herself into his apartment.

Who was Mary Stachowicz? Was she a bully, filled with hatred? Read this verbatim excerpt from Chapter 16 of A Mother’s Plea: Journey into the Light, by Father Anthony Bus, published 2005 by Marian Press:
Murder or Martyred? The Death of Mary Stachowicz
The Flame in Her Heart
Mary (Stachowicz) was a graceful and compassionate woman. She was strong-willed but humble. She was without malice. Her faith in Jesus Christ, her love for the Virgin Mary, and her defense of the Catholic faith and Catholic spirituality were simply integral to her personality …Concern for the faith of her family was the flame that perpetually burned in her heart, and that fire spread well beyond the walls of her home. Her only agenda was to make Jesus and the Church known and loved.

From LifeLeague (UK):
The Advertising Standards Agency have investigated and upheld LifeLeague’s complaints against the Gay Police Association for their disgusting advert (below) that appeared in The Independent, 29.09.06.
(Click on image to enlarge and read the ad.)
The advert violated ASA guidelines on the grounds of decency, truthfulness and substantiation.
They declared that The Gay Police Association had:
[1] admitted the advert’s wording was structured in such a way as to represent non-criminal behaviour as ‘homophobic incidents’;
[2] failed to substantiate their claims about homophobic incidents;
[3] wrongly implied that Christians perpetrated the reported incidents;
[4] wrongly suggested that all of the reported incidents involved physical injury.
The Gay Police Association subsequently announced that they do not intend to use this ad again – yet they still remain unapologetic. The Independent however, did apologise for ‘offence caused’.
