LaBarbera: “It would be a YUUGE mistake for Trump to break his pledge to pro-marriage Republican voters who put him in the White House”
LGBTrump? Donald Trump has a long history of pro-homosexual advocacy. He now says–as he did in 2015–that the homosexual “marriage” is “settled” due to the Supreme Court Obergefell ruling –which was eviscerated in a dissent by Trump’s ideal SCOTUS Justice, the late Antonin Scalia. Above is Trump’s 2000 interview with the “gay” magazine The Advocate, in which he suggested adding homosexuality to the federal Civil Rights Act. Read about it HERE. Click on graphic to enlarge.

CHICAGO – AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera called on President-elect Donald Trump to revise his estimation that the Supreme Court has “settled” the issue of homosexual “marriage”–and instead honor his pledge to America’s voters to defend natural marriage against the “shocking” 2015 Obergefell ruling.
[Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH.org) is dedicated to exposing and opposing the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) agenda. Sign up for AFTAH updates.]
In an interview with CBS “60 Minutes” Sunday, Trump asserted that the Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling imposing homosexual “marriage” on all 50 states was “settled” law, and that “gay marriage’ as a political issue is “done … And I’m fine with that.”
That directly contradicts what then-candidate Trump told GOP primary voters in South Carolina last February: that he opposed the “shocking” Obergefell decision and that evangelical voters can trust him to protect real, man-woman marriage. Trump said he favors letting the states decide marriage laws for themselves.
Just prior to the Iowa caucuses, where he was appealing to evangelical voters, Trump said he would like to see Obergefell overturned: “If I’m elected I would be very strong in putting certain judges on the bench that maybe could change things, but they have a long way to go.”
The late Antonin Scalia—whom Trump holds up as the type of Supreme Court Justice he would appoint–ripped into Obergefell in a powerful dissent—saying it was a “naked judicial claim to legislative–indeed, super-legislative–power; a claim fundamentally at odds with our system of government.
“[T]o allow the policy question of same-sex marriage to be considered and resolved by a select, patrician, highly unrepresentative panel of nine is to violate a principle even more fundamental than no taxation without representation: no social transformation without representation,” Scalia wrote.
AFTAH’s LaBarbera described what is at stake with Trump and marriage: “Many millions of evangelical, Catholic and moral-minded voters trusted Mr. Trump with their votes because they did not see him as just another slippery politician. Now it is up to President-elect Trump to show that he is worthy of that trust by clarifying his defeatist statement on Obergefell.
“America cannot become great again by defying God, and homosexuality-based ‘marriage’ is about as godless as it gets,” LaBarbera said. “Trump needs to do all he can to reverse the Supreme Court’s unconstitutional Obergefell ruling—just as he pledges to overturn Roe v. Wade and abortion-on-demand.
Folks, the day for deciding America’s future is finally here. I wrote this piece for LifeSiteNews.com, where I am now a U.S. reporter. [Sign up for LSN updates here.] This callout quote below aptly represents the way “progressives” think. Rather than mold our behaviors to God’s ideal–revealed through the Bible–modern liberals resent those who adhere to a Higher Law and will not conform to sin-based agendas. Go out and vote, and as always, ignore the corrupt, liberal media! — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH.org
“One of my big problems right now is that too many people believe they have a direct line to the divine and they never want to change their mind about anything.” — Hillary Clinton, NPR “Fresh Air” interview, 2014

Flashback – Pro-LGBT Clinton Defended Natural Marriage as ‘Sacred Bond’ of Man and Woman
By Peter LaBarbera
November 7, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Like the Democratic U.S. president she is trying to succeed, Hillary Clinton has done a 180-degree U-turn on the legalization of homosexual “marriage”—going from a religious-minded foe of genderless “marriage” in 2000 to a fervent crusader for it today as a supposed “constitutional right.”
Most ominously in a post-Obergefell America that is increasingly hostile to citizens who do not wish to participate in or validate same-sex “marriage,” Hillary Clinton is now a vocal opponent of “religious freedom restoration” laws like the one overturned in Indiana. These laws aim to preserve people’s right to live out their support for natural marriage before God (a belief Hillary shared pre-2013) and not to countenance sin.
She also openly expresses hostility to faith-based citizens who refuse to bend their thinking on homosexual “marriage.”
In that vein, Mrs. Clinton touts the federal LGBTQ “Equality Act,” which adds homosexuality and transgenderism to the 1964 Civil Rights Act and which, in its present form, would explicitly negate the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act—which Congress passed to defend religious liberty and the First Amendment.
Not “Equal,” Not Even Close: LGBTQ activists are loathe to discuss and debate the manifold disproportionate health risks associated with their unnatural lifestyles. Order this new book by our friends at MassResistance through Amazon HERE.
Special Book Offer: Despite the ubiquitous media and LGBTQ propaganda, homosexuality is NOT a normal variant of human sexual behavior. To help you prove that obvious point to others, we are offering the thoroughly-documented, 600-page Mass Resistance book, “Health Hazards of Homosexuality,” which we are making available through AFTAH for $20 postpaid. Order it online here with your gift of at least $20 [note book order in the Comments box], or send your check to: AFTAH, PO Box 5522, Naperville, IL 60567-5522, noting the book order. “Progressives” despise this book, and you’ll know why when you get a copy!

Folks, homosexual health risks are the elephant in the “gay” living room that is often denied by anti-science “gay” activists, and rarely gets the attention it deserves from squeamish conservatives and Christians. I know and trust the author of this MassResistance book, and that person has excellent research skills. The book has 1,800 endnotes–including some citing articles by AFTAH and this writer–so it is loaded with “inconvenient truths” and uncomfortable realities about LGBTQ behaviors and lifestyles that Big Gay Inc and their media lackeys do not want you to know.
I just bought my copy of “The Health Hazards of Homosexuality“ off Amazon (available only in Kindle e-book format). Go HERE to buy yours today. Stay tuned for much more on this terrific resource. –Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH; @PeterLaBarbera

Below is the author’s description of the book on Amazon:
“Health Hazards of Homosexuality” brings together in one resource up-to-date information on the serious physical and mental health issues experienced by gays, lesbians, and bisexuals. This e-book includes 1,800 endnotes with live links to sources including the CDC, medical and mental health professional associations, medical research, GLB advocacy groups and websites, and the mainstream media. Numerous documentary color photos enliven the text.
The book looks at reasons for the higher levels of pathology (in both physical and mental health) experienced by these sexual minority groups, including life experiences, lifestyle choices, and risky sexual practices.
The book begins with discussion of the social and institutional context, summarizes estimates of the GLB population, and dismantles the “born that way” myth. Several chapters look at the higher incidence of mental health disorders exhibited by many in the GLB community, including depression, anxiety, suicidality, substance use, partner abuse, and BDSM practices. [BDSM is a sadomasochism acronym that stands for–according to its aficionados–“Bondage & Discipline, Dominance & Submission, Sadism & Masochism.” No wonder they’re now calling it “Kink” for media and cultural mainstreaming purposes.–AFTAH]
The general public has not been told the whole truth about sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV/AIDS) and other illness following from the behaviors associated with GLB sexual orientations. Gays and bisexual men, in particular, are most vulnerable and are driving recent increases in STD incidence. Our nation’s youth, male and female, are suffering from the fallout and are experiencing startling increases in STDs.
A complaint that had been filed against Alabama Supreme Court Justice Tom Parker by the domestic terror-linked Southern Poverty Law Center has been dismissed by the state’s Judicial Inquiry Commission.
“Shame on the SPLC for filing this politically motivated complaint against Justice Parker,” said Mat Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel, which represents Parker.
Parker was accused, after he was interviewed on American Family Radio about the U.S. Supreme Court’s opinion on marriage, of violating the Canon 3(A)(6) of the state canons of judicial ethics.
The problem, Staver explained, is that the rule purports to prevent any judge in the state from making “any public comment about a pending or impending proceeding in any court” – even if the judge is not involved in the case and if the judge’s comments “do not have a reasonable likelihood of affecting the outcome or impairing the fairness of that proceeding.”
Liberty Counsel noted such a rule has been described by the American Bar Association as violating the First Amendment.
The following 2-minute YouTube video was produced by the National Organization for Marriage (NOM). It highlights four key findings of the recent New Atlantis journal’s special report, “Sexuality & Gender: Findings from the Biological, Psychological, and Social Sciences” (Fall 2016) Go HERE for an Executive Summary of the report, and HERE to read the New Atlantis journal online. Another important finding in this report is that, “Compared to heterosexuals, non-heterosexuals are about two to three times as likely to have experienced childhood sexual abuse.” H/T Mercatornet.com.
More on the study: Also see this post in which AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera discusses the New Atlantis study in an interview with Christian radio talk show host Janet Mefferd.
The science on sexuality and gender proves that much of the foregoing narrative advanced by LGBT activists is based on presumption and falsehood. The overview given in the new report from The New Atlantis should help inform lawmakers and others when approaching a matter so important: our children deserve to be treated according to the best scientific knowledge, and not made pawns in a political game by those driving an agenda of supposed “rights” and “equality.”
MONTGOMERY, AL – Oct. 5, 2016 — Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore has filed an appeal of the decision issued by the Court of the Judiciary (COJ) on September 30 to suspend him for the remainder of his term, which runs through January 2019. A new panel of judges will need to convene to hear the case and all the sitting justices should be recused.
The Judicial Inquiry Commission (JIC) previously requested that the Chief Justice be removed from the bench. Under the COJ rules, removal requires a unanimous 9-0 vote by the members of the COJ, which is made up of judges, a lawyer and laypeople. Absent a 9-0 unanimous vote, the COJ cannot remove a judge from the bench. But in an unbelievable violation of the law, the COJ suspended him without pay for the remainder of his term. When his term expires, he will be ineligible to run again for election as judge due to his age. So the suspension until the end of his term is a de facto removal from the bench.
“Liberty Counsel and the Chief Justice have appealed this case to the Alabama Supreme Court. These baseless charges should be dismissed and the Chief Justice should be reinstated,” said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. “To suspend Chief Justice Moore for the duration of his term is a miscarriage of justice and the same as removal. The COJ lacked the unanimous votes to remove the Chief, so the majority instead chose to ignore the law and the rules. We will continue the fight for justice to prevail in this case.”

Folks, I just can’t say enough good things about Dr. Peter Jones and his annual TruthXChange conferences–which combine intellectual rigor with a fearless commitment to upholding biblical truth — of the sort that is increasingly lacking in evangelical circles (at least on the homosexual issue). I wish I could attend this conference beginning Friday and hosted by New Life Presbyterian Church in Escondido, California.
Among the speakers are: Dr. Mike Brown, whose presentation alone would make attending worthwhile; my friend Stephen Black, who overcame homosexuality in his own life and who is one of the most godly and committed Christian men I’ve ever met; and ex-lesbian former professor Rosaria Butterfield.
Dr. Jones himself is a national treasure and one of the reasons I do NOT support shutting down immigration (he came here from the U.K.: Britain’s loss, America’s gain!). Peter writes ably and prolifically about the pagan roots of what the Left considers “enlightened” and “progressive” LGBTQueer sex- and gender ideology.
If you’re looking for simplistic and shallow analyses of America’s moral and spiritual crisis and the worldly descent of Christianity in the West, don’t attend this conference or follow Peter’s work. But if you are a truth-lover who fears God, not man, and wants to learn about how our once-Christian culture degenerated to this point, this is an event for you. Having attended one of Peter’s conferences a few years ago, I can assure you that you will be blessed by this gathering of Christian thinkers. –Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH.org; @PeterLaBarbera
AFTAH to AFA’s One News Now: Log Cabinites are homosexual activists first, Republicans second
The following is reprinted from American Family Association’s “One News Now” online news source:
GOP seeks ‘big tent’ but who props it up?
By Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com), September 28, 2016 |
With just weeks to go before Election Day, a pro-family advocate is questioning the Republican Party’s affiliation with a homosexual group.
Newt Gingrich is set to speak tonight, September 28, at a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans. The pro-homosexual group is meeting in Washington, D.C., where the keynote speaker is the former Speaker of the House.
Peter LaBarbera, who heads Americans for Truth, recalls that Log Cabin president Gregory Angelo publicly expressed anger this summer over the socially conservative platform approved by the Republican Party.
In a July press release, Angelo complained that the GOP “passed the most anti-LGBT platform in the party’s 162-year history,” citing “opposition to marriage equality” and “nonsense about bathrooms.”
LaBarbera says it’s a fair question why Gingrich is helping an organization raise money that’s attacking the Republican Party’s conservative beliefs.
“I think this is the fallacy of the big tent,” says LaBarbera. “The Log Cabin Republicans are homosexual activists first, Republican second.”
The more the GOP reaches out to homosexual Republicans, he warns, “the more they alienate their massive Christian, conservative, grassroots base.”
LaBarbera says the Log Cabin Republicans report [in 2008] only 20,000 members nationwide, meaning Gingrich and others risk offending millions of conservative Americans [for a tiny amount of votes].
