Bald Eagle Greets Driver – A Message from God?

Monday, March 17th, 2014

I just returned from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on my trip with my son for Air Force pick-up to McGuire AFB.

On the way home, I saw something that I shall not soon forget.  It was on PA Highway 11-15 North with the Susquehanna River on my right heading for the PA Highway 322 West exit to [Pennsylvania] State College.

I was taking it easy after a long day and then, out of the blue, I saw a wonder of God’s creation, a magnificent Bald Eagle in all of its majesty slowly gliding with its wingspan fully evident toward the windshield of my car.  I slowed down as there wasn’t much traffic and that magnificent bird came so close before he turned slowly passing over me that I could clearly see its eyes looking at me.

It was like a message from God saying, “Stay the course, America will be all right.”

What a great finish to a Sunday for me.

We Honor America’s Fallen Fighting Men and Women this Memorial Day

Monday, May 31st, 2010

America's Legacy in South Korea: due in large part to the sacrifices of America's fighting men, only half of the Korean peninsula is mired in tyranny and poverty while the other half, South Korea, has emerged as a free nation and one of the most prosperous and productive countries on earth. The above is a nighttime satellite photo of the North Korea and South Korea. The many lights signal the progress and economic development of the South while the North's near total darkness offers stark proof of the abject failure of communism.

By Peter LaBarbera

One of my regrets in life is never having served in the military. Today we honor those who have, especially the brave American men and women who died in the service of our country. Every year around this time we hear the phrase, “paid the ultimate price” again and again, but we must never let it become trite. The fact is, Americans are free and secure because of the past and current sacrifices of noble men and women for whom patriotism is a way of life and not something to be mocked or trivialized.

And untold millions of people in other countries live better and freer lives thanks to the sacrifices of servicemembers fighting for them (and us) — as evidenced by this astonishing nighttime satellite photo of North and South Korea. The Americans who died in the Korean war certainly did not die in vain.

Through all the self-criticism of the United States by our own citizens — some of it responsible, some not — we forget America’s great achievements throughout the world. We helped save the world from the spread of fascism and its murderous cousin, communism. And America remains a benign superpower that, unlike the old Soviet Union, generally leaves countries with greater freedom and opportunity after our involvement. (Notable exceptions like Vietnam are the fault of reckless and feckless politicians, not the military.)

Jesus Christ Became Sin so that Sinners Could Become Righteous before God

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

We beg you on behalf of Christ: be reconciled to God.

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

– 2 Corinthians 5:20b-21

Today I heard a radio sermon by Dr. Tony Evans of the Urban Alternative that was one of the most powerful I have ever heard on the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ.  “Jesus Christ experienced hell so you and I could experience heaven,” Evans said. “…You and I stand before God as if [we] never sinned.”

The sermon is entitled, “The Necessity of the Cross.” The website says “Part 2” for today (April 2). If you want to gain a greater understanding of what Christ did for mankind as sinners, listen to this sermon on MP3; it will bless you and expand your love for and gratitude to God for his ‘Amazing Grace.’ May all who follow the Lord have a Blessed Easter Sunday! — Peter LaBarbera, Americans For Truth

AFA-Michigan’s Glenn: Stupak’s U-turn No Surprise

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.)

Stupak’s U-turn No Surprise

Charlie Butts – OneNewsNow – 3/22/2010

Michigan Congressman Bart Stupak did an about-face Sunday night and voted for the healthcare reform bill — and at least one pro-life Michigander isn’t surprised.

Stupak has been touted by the national media as a leading combatant against using tax dollars for abortion. But when the bill was finally put to a vote and Stupak voted in favor, many of his constituents were not surprised. Gary Glenn of the American Family Association of Michigan explains why.

“We issued a news release months ago calling Bart Stupak a fraud, because what happened at the last minute from a national perspective was no surprise at all to those of us actually here in Michigan,” says Glenn.

AFTAH and Hackers: Account Suspended over Extra High Web Usage Resulting from Previous Sabotage

January hack-attack infected AFTAH’s search engine

Server notice announcing suspension of AFTAH's website Wed. morning; a previous hack-attack appears to have caused the problem.

Americans For Truth About Homosexuality’s website was suspended earlier today — due to our exceeding server usage limits, apparently as a result of a hack-attack against AFTAH back in January. The January cyber-sabotage infected our Search engine, which went haywire and which has now been disabled until we find a solution.

It appears that today’s stoppage was not directly caused by a new round of hacking, but that possibility still exists. AFTAH is opposed daily by some of the most hateful and extremist “gay” websites on the planet (all in the name of “tolerance,” mind you), so there are plenty of militants who would love to shut us down. And we believe that — God help us — if they ever got the power, many self-avowed “queer” activists would support using the Government to do so.

Young Conservative Ryan Sorba Condemns CPAC for Welcoming Homosexual Activist Group GOProud as Sponsor

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

I am so proud of this young man, Ryan Sorba of California Young Americans For Freedom, for having the guts to hold CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, accountable for allowing a homosexual activist group, GOProud, to sponsor its conference. Organized homosexuality has no part in a truly “conservative” movement. We need a few dozen more Ryan Sorbas in our pro-family movement to put the “queer” activists on their heels for a change — instead of constantly being put on the defensive by a perversion lobby that equates sexual misbehavior and gender confusion with “civil rights.” More on the CPAC controversy HERE.  — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.com

P.S. It says a lot about the left-wing ninnies over at Media Matters that they thought this video would embarrass the Right; we used their Youtube because the quality was better than the others:
