Come out Friday, June 17, 2011 to hear a wonderful testimony of God’s power to change people!
NOTE TO AFTAH SUPPORTERS: We’ve been trying to get ex-lesbian Linda Jernigan — a dynamite speaker wth a heart-warming Christian testimony — to AFTAH for a year, and it looks like it is finally going to happen! This talk was planned for a year ago, but Linda was called away on an emergency, and we never rescheduled it. We apologize for the (long) delay, but are thrilled that Linda will be with us to speak to one of the modern myths taking hold in America: that homosexuality is inherent and even something to be “proud” of. If you live in Chicagoland, come out to hear Linda tell her life story; you will not regret coming!
Linda will also speak on a new Illinois project that AFTAH is supporting: the Illinois Defense of Marriage Initiative (IDMI), which would put a Advisory Referendum on the ballot in 2012 in support of marriage as it really is: betweeen a man and a woman. See www.DefendMarriageIL.org or more details. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org
Former lesbian Linda Jernigan (right) presents on “What’s wrong with ‘Gay Pride.” Jernigan, a Christian evangelist (www.rescuinghomosexuals.net), is now 11 years “out” of the homosexual lifestyle. She will share from her life experiences, which include being seduced into the lesbian lifestyle as a preteen by an older woman who was supposed to be her “mentor.”
Location:Americans For Truth offices at 25W560 Geneva Rd., Carol Stream, IL (just west of the intersection of Gary and Geneva Rds. in Carol Stream). Park in the rear of the building.
Details: Casual dinner at 6:00 precedes talk, which begins at 7:00 PM; there will be ample time for Q & A with Linda. Freewill donations accepted to cover costs of the event.
Watch Linda speak at our recent pro-traditional-marriage rally in Chicago:
Listen to Linda’s AFTAH Radio Hour Interview: Jernigan, based in Chicago, was interviewed for the Americans For Truth Hour last year. You can listen to Part One of the interview HERE, and Part Two HERE. All AFTAH interviews are archived on the AFTAH Hour web page.
‘Gay’ “Bullying Tactics” won’t dissuade marriage defenders, says TFP leader
Pro-homosexual "marriage" activist attacks TFP banner that proclaimed marriage as it truly is: between a man and a woman. TFP members shouted "Aggressor!" as the assailant did his dirty deed. Later, a TFP member was hit in the head by a beer bottle thrown from a car passing by.
Folks, we’ve seen this nasty brand of homosexual bullying and intolerance so often that we’re no longer shocked by it. Watch the TFP Student Action video as peaceful TFP members shout “Aggressor!” as this troubled man walks up and destroys their banner, in Fairport, New York. Imagine if a bunch of pro-family activists did this to a pro-“gay banner” banner! (CBS, ABC, NBC, and CNN would be lining up to tell the story.) TFP is a Catholic group that has done yeoman’s work standing up for real marriage across the nation. Watch the TFP Student Action video at their website HERE. — Peter LaBarbera,. www.aftah.org

Video: Pro-Homosexual Advocate Destroys Traditional Marriage Banner in New York
Contact: Contact: John Ritchie, American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property, 717-495-5427
As young TFP volunteers stood at the corner of Main Street and Church Street with signs, a pro-homosexualist hurled himself against the group’s thirteen foot long banner inscribed with “God’s Marriage = 1 Man & 1 Woman.” The banner, held by three volunteers, was knocked down and violently torn to pieces.

Matt Barber, AFTAH Board Member and Associate Dean at Liberty University School of Law, had this reaction to the annual “Hunky Jesus” Contest held Easter Sunday (April 24, 2011) in San Francisco’s Delores Park; see YouTube video below quotation:
“While watching this repulsive, Satanic display I was surprised that I didn’t feel outrage – that I wasn’t angry. I felt pity for these poor, lost souls. I felt sorry for them. They were pathetic, sad, empty, foolish. I was embarrassed for them.
“Still, God will not be mocked. As I continued to watch I began to feel fear; not for me, but for them. As they pranced about on stage and the pagan audience reveled in their foolish blasphemy, I thought, ‘These poor souls. Someday they’ll stand before the very Lord they mock to face His judgment.’ In fact, based on the destructive lifestyle they lead, we know that that day will likely come considerably sooner for them than for most. I shudder to think of the literal Hell that awaits them lest they repent, fall to their knees and believe upon Christ Jesus, the Savior of the world; the Master and creator of the universe.
“As Christians we should all pray, as Jesus did, that God ‘forgive them, for they know not what they do.’”

This man in drag and member of the "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" is wearing a shirt that says "Bottom For Jesus" at the sadistic-sex-celebrating Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco in 2007. "Bottom" refers to the receiving position in anal sodomy. Every year on Easter Sunday, the "Sisters" hosts the blasphemous "Hunky Jesus" contest. See video below, and click on photo above to enlarge.
CHICAGO – This Easter Sunday in San Francisco’s Delores Park, Christianity-spoofing homosexual drag queen “nuns” calling themselves the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” will stage their annual “Hunky Jesus” contest — mocking the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ — as shirtless men in “crucifixion” costumes parade on stage in an atmosphere of haughty, homoerotic humor.
The profane and shockingly insensitive spectacle illustrates the secular, pro-“gay” Left’s hypocrisy in demanding “respect” for homosexuals and transsexuals — even as they cynically mock Christ and true religion on the holiest day of the year for Christians, says Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH).
“There’s nothing that delights arrogant, pro-homosexual liberals more than making fun of Bible-believing Christians – as evidenced by this blasphemous Easter ‘contest,’” LaBarbera said. “Of course, it goes without saying that these defiant champions of ‘tolerance and diversity’ wouldn’t dare hold a ‘Hunky Muhammad’ contest during Ramadan — so it seems even envelope-pushing, in-your-face, pro-perversion libertines know their limits. (Muslims: beware: LGBT activists will end up hating you as much as they hate Christians.)” [Watch YouTube below; press release continues after the page jump and video:]
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
I’m reading Denise Jones’ book, “Who Said it Couldn’t Be Done? A Diamond from the Rough.” It is a shockingly honest yet faith-building story of godly transformation, told by a woman who shouldn’t even be alive, so hellish was her past. This is one of those amazing life stories that deserves to be made into a movie, so let’s hope and pray that perhaps a Christian filmmaker — or someone in Hollywood who believes in real diversity — will take that up as a project (over the sure protests of the intolerant folk at GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation).
You can order Denise’ book through Amazon HERE. To visit her website, go to www.WhoSaiditCouldntBeDone.com. Her Facebook page is HERE, and you can write Denise at AuthorDeniseJones@gmail.com. We certainly hope to hear a lot more from Denise, and we give praise to Jesus Christ this Easter season for His wonderfully redemptive work in her life! — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org
Trace McNutt before Christ: South Florida "drag" star "Coma."
On this, the homosexual activist “Day of Silence” in schools, we cannot remain silent about how God continues to help people out of the homosexual lifestyle — in this case, a former “drag queen” whose stage name was “Coma,” but whose actual name is Trace McNutt. Please take the time to watch all 11 short YouTube segments, and pass them on to your friends and family (especially those who have never seen an ex-homosexual testimony).
Obama: “We are not going to be dragging our feet to get this done”
Dear Readers, below is a YouTube video of President Obama’s Dec. 22, 2010 signing of the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” — ie., the ban on open homosexuality in the military. Republicans currently are struggling to respond to the rapid pro-homosexual changes in our military — which have their root in a campaign promise by Obama to his homosexual activist supporters. Take note at how everything in this White House celebration presumes that homosexuality be understood as an innocuous or positive identity, and the advancement of the “rights” of a minority (“gays and lesbians”). What is alien to this celebration of the “GLBT” Lobby’s greatest political victory to date is the conception of homosexuality as immoral (sinful), unnatural and/or destructive behavior.
The public’s embrace of this zeitgeist exchange of identity/group-civil rights for anti-social misbehavior is the single greatest achievement of the modern homosexual activist movement. However — just as the popularization of “pro-choice” rhetoric has no bearing on the ethics of killing innocent, unborn babies in the womb — this highly strategic, pro-“gay” cultural transformation has no bearing on the morality of homosexual practice. Nor does it negate the massive health risks and other pitfalls associated with homosexuality, including the emerging reality that homosexuality-based “rights’ destroy religious freedom (to oppose same-sex conduct). These matters obviously are of little concern to liberals, who are now so wedded to the “gay civil rights” paradigm that they see any attempt to view homosexuality through the (religious) lens of wrong-yet-changeable behavior as itself an act of “prejudice,” to quote our Commander-in-Chief. — Peter LaBarbera, www. aftah.org
This video says it all regarding the Joint Chiefs’ grim reaction to President Obama’s plan to homosexualize the U.S. military. Kudos to the Thomas More Law Center for their excellent work in opposing the repeal of the common-sense ban on homosexuals in our Armed Forces. The saddest thing of all is that this battle need not have been lost had more VIP “conservatives” acted, well, conservatively in mobilizing the country against this “lame-duck” congressional outrage. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org
