LISTEN: AFTAH Interview with Gary Glenn – Part Two

This is Part 2 [click HERE to listen] of our 4-part interview with Gary Glenn, president of American Family Association of Michigan [see Part 1 HERE]. It was pre-taped and aired Feb. 6, 2011. AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and Glenn discussed how “sexual orientation” laws are inherently discriminatory against people of faith and anyone who opposes homosexuality. Glenn ticks off case after case of Christians and moral organzations like the Boy Scouts being victimized by pro-homosexual “sexual orientation” laws. Glenn also holds a mini radio “Truth Academy” on the proper mindset for pro-family work — urging activists not to use defensive language that suits the Homosexual Lobby’s debate frame but rather to put homosexual activists on the defensive by “telling the truth” that the “homosexual agenda itself discriminates against people.” Glenn and LaBarbera agree that the idea of “civil unions” as a supposed compromise is a non-starter — noting how the concept was regarded as “radical” in Vermont just a few years ago, while today leading liberal elites easily jump from backing “civil unions” to “gay marriage.” Glenn also discusses school bullying laws, urging an approach that protects ALL students without “segregating” them by singling out “sexual orientation.”

You Won’t Believe Chili’s’ Radical ‘Gay Task Force’ Agenda

Dear Readers,
This is not just another e-mail about boycotting yet another irresponsible corporation. It’s about educating the nation on the incredibly extreme and unhealthy agenda of the pro-Homosexuality-Bisexuality-Transsexuality Lobby — and holding company executives accountable for financing that agenda. Last week in Minneapolis, I and a few other pro-family advocates went undercover at the annual “Creating Change” grassroots homosexual conference put on by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. There were more than 2,000 LGBT activists in attendance! Some of the “change” we heard advocated in the various workshops, and which we will document in the days and weeks ahead, was shocking. Yet this agenda is one that the left-leaning media refuse to examine, much less expose. So AFTAH will do the media’s job for them by laying out the Gay Task Force’s extremist vision, which includes:
- Taxpayer-financed “sex change” operations for transsexuals (not to do so is “discrimination” against “transgenders”);
- Using polling, focus groups and emotional arguments to persuade evangelical Christians to ignore Scripture and accept homosexuality-based “rights”;
- Using the tragedy of homosexual youth suicides to shame Christians into stop calling homosexuality sinful;
- Celebrating sadomasochism (consensual sexual violence and degradation) and “kinky”/fetish sexual behaviors
- Pro-homosexuality lessons for grade school kids (because waiting until middle school is too late to reach them);
- “Non-judgmental condom advocacy for young men in the name of HIV prevention — and even being non-judgmental in “safe sex” training when it comes to bizarre/disgusting “fetish” behaviors
- Predicting not just a future “gay” president of the United States but also a “bi” and a “transgender” president! (I’ll withhold the jokes…);
- “[F–k–g] with gender,” and celebrating bisexuality and “genderqueer” lifestyles (see this definition for latter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genderqueer);
- Using “gender identity” laws to pressure businesses to bend to the transgender agenda of “Gender-Neutral Restrooms” — to replace the old-fashioned variety with an “M” or an “F” on the door.
There is much, much more — the homosexual Task Force puts the “D” back in “Deviance,” that’s for sure. Stay tuned as we lay out the “change” that this high-powered organization and “Friend of Barack Obama” is promoting for America — with help from Chilis restaurants, Wells Fargo, Southwest Airlines, and other major corporations. Christian activist Peter LaBarbera is calling attention to a popular restaurant chain’s association with the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.
Homosexual activists called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A restaurants after a Pennsylvania franchise provided box-lunches for a recent seminar encouraging traditional marriage (see earlier ONN article). The national chain and many of its franchise owners across the U.S. have pledged to contribute to everything from marriage seminars to retreats and counseling for its employees.
LaBarbera, founder of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, argues that Chick-fil-A is a fine Christian company and suggests that a boycott of the company is absurd. But he points out that another popular restaurant — Chili’s — supports the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, which he says promotes polyamory, the practice of having more than one open romantic relationship at a time.

Ad Charges CPAC Betrays Conservative Principles and Threatens Conservative Unity

In a full-page ad in today’s Washington Times, a group of conservative leaders say they are deeply troubled by the direction of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) – which opens on February 10. Vision America President Pastor Rick Scarborough, who initiated the project, noted: “For the third year in a row, GOProud will be participate in CPAC. GOProud seeks repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, without which judges will ultimately legislate homosexual ‘marriage.’ Last year, GOProud advocated for homosexuals serving openly in the military, which will devastate our armed forces and sacrifice unit cohesion on the altar of ‘inclusiveness.'”
Some of the most prominent conservative groups and leaders are boycotting CPAC, due at least in part to the presence of GOProud. They include American Family Association, Liberty Counsel, Family Research Council, the Heritage Foundation, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Jim DeMint and Sean Hannity.
“Ronald Reagan spoke at CPAC in 1977. But would Reagan be comfortable at CPAC 2011?” Scarborough asked. “Our 40th president spoke of conservatism’s three-legged stool, economic, defense and social (family values) issues. Remove one, and the entire structure collapses.”

Video Shows Joint Chiefs’ Grim Reaction to Obama Plan for Homosexuals in the Military
February 3rd, 2011This video says it all regarding the Joint Chiefs’ grim reaction to President Obama’s plan to homosexualize the U.S. military. Kudos to the Thomas More Law Center for their excellent work in opposing the repeal of the common-sense ban on homosexuals in our Armed Forces. This is the first of a multi-part interview [Click HERE] with Gary Glenn, president of American Family Association of Michigan. It was pre-taped and aired January 29, 2011. AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera describes Glenn as one of the most effective, strategic and principled pro-family leaders in the United States (which probably explains why he is despised and routinely smeared by the pro-homosexuality Left and pro-“gay” Republicans). Part of the conversation revolves around whether “conservatism” can abide the promotion of homosexuality through Republican-oriented groups such as GOProud — which has been accepted as a sponsor at the upcoming CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in D.C. Glenn says the truly conservative portions of GOProud’s stated agenda (e.g., support for gun rights) are “window dressing’ for their real goal of “advancing the homosexual agenda.” He also discusses the recent lame-duck congressional repeal of the ban on homosexuals in the military – noting that our Armed Forces are “being used as a tool of social experimentation.” Glenn said pro-family advocates need to deal with the reality that politicians “understand two things”: punishment and rewards.
