AFTAH Interviews Christian Activist Steve Noble on North Carolina Marriage Amendment

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

North Carolina Christian activist Steve Noble is guardedly optimistic about the upcoming May 8 vote in his state on the Marriage Amendment. He tells how he got active in pro-family advocacy in his book, "The Making of a Christian Wacko."

After a brief hiatus, Americans For Truth Radio is back featuring in-depth interviews with front-line, pro-family activists. This interview [click HERE to listen] by AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera is with Steve Noble, a Christian activist and talk show host in Raleigh, North Carolina. This was pre-taped and aired on WYLL-Chicago (1160 AM) April 7, 2012. Noble hosts a daily talk show, “Called2Action,” on 1030 AM Truth Radio in Raleigh (4:00 PM Eastern). Steve discusses the upcoming May 8 vote in North Carolina for the Marriage Amendment — which if passed would codify in the state’s constitution the preservation of marriage as one-man, one-woman. He notes how North Carolina’s homosexual activists are not affirming theirright to “marry,” but rather throwing up disinformation against the Amendment.

On April 2, Noble interviewed LaBarbera on his program on the same subject [go HERE to the archive page and download the April 2nd podcast: “A ‘Gay Marriage’ North Carolina?”]. Noble is also the author of, “The Making of a Christian Wacko,” about his path to becoming a Christian pro-family activist. You can order the book HERE.

When Truth Becomes a ‘Crime Against Humanity’

Monday, March 26th, 2012

By Pastor Scott Lively, J.D., Th.D.

Scott Lively

This column was posted on Lively’s website, DefendTheFamily.com, March 18, 2012

I am a Bible-believing Christian Pastor and as such I oppose homosexuality and the now global movement to legitimize it in society. The Bible teaches that homosexuality is s sin specially condemned by God as an “abomination” destructive to both individuals and society (Leviticus 18:22f). It is the only sin which prompted the destruction of a city by fire and brimstone (Genesis 19). It is the only sin chosen to epitomize the “reprobate mind,” meaning the mind given over completely to darkness and deceitfulness (Romans 1).

My job as a pastor is to preach this truth without apology or hedging so that people who suffer with a homosexual “orientation” can repent and be delivered from their bondage (Ezekiel 3:18), and society can be spared the damaging consequences of affirming that sin (Jude 1:7). Many homosexuals from the very beginnings of Christianity have been healed of this affliction (1 Cor 6:9-11).

I also preach against the hatred and violence that some direct toward homosexuals. That too is a sin (Matt 22:39).

History affirms the Bible. This homosexual movement does in fact exemplify the conduct described in Romans 1, so much so that since its rise to power it has silenced or destroyed nearly every opponent that once stood against it. Nearly everyone, including a significant number of my fellow clergy, are now afraid to speak against homosexuality for fear of retaliation.

Anti-Christian Bigotry on Display at ‘Truth Wins Out’ Protest against Exodus in Atlanta

Signs assail Biblical change away from homosexuality is “hateful”; imply Jesus Christ was homosexual

By Peter LaBarbera

It says all you need to know about the mischieviously-named homosexual activist group “Truth Wins Out” — headed by “gay” gadfly Wayne Besen — that it would feature anti-Christian photos like these prominently on its website. The photos are part of a story about a TWO protest outside the recent Exodus International “Love Won Out” conference in Atlanta, for people who have left or seek to leave homosexuality behind in their life. TWO attempts to discredit the idea that hcaltlhy change away from homosexuality is possible (by championing failed “ex-gays” and ignoring success stories).

In the TWO promotional photo at right proclaiming a “failed” Exodus conference (click to enlarge), the man’s sign reads, “The Bible is not a tool of hatred and injustice” — implying that efforts to help men and women overcome unwanted homosexual desires are hateful. This is now the standard propaganda line for almost all homosexual activist organizations. Of course, the truth is that most loving thing that a holy God and caring Christians can do for a person struggling with homosexuality (or any besetting sin) is to help him or her overcome that sin in their life. [More photos after jump.]

Homosexual Pressure Group GLAAD Names AFTAH’s LaBarbera, Barber to Its Media ‘Blacklist’

Thursday, March 15th, 2012

GLAAD smears pro-family leaders while honoring homosexual activist hatemongers

WARNING: Story includes uncensored, obscene tweet by hateful homosexual activist awarded by GLAAD

While smearing pro-family leaders who oppose homosexuality as "haters," GLAAD honors hateful, anti-Christian homosexual activists like blogger Joe Jervis -- who blames the VICTIMS of pro-homosexual violence for "hate crimes" against them. Above is a 2011 GLAAD web item celebrating Jervis for his GLAAD "Outstanding Blog" award. See bottom of article for an example of Jervis' viciousness. Click on image to enlarge.

The homosexual pressure group GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) has named AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH Board Member Matt Barber and 34 other American pro-family opponents of homosexual activism to a list of targeted commentators whom it aims to discredit by lobbying the media.

GLAAD’s new “Commentator Accountability Project” (CAP) focuses on “our nation’s most frequently quoted anti-gay activists,” according to the power homosexual pressure organization. GLAAD says CAP “is designed to shine a big, bright light on the extreme views of the vast majority of prominent anti-LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender”]talkers.”

“Hate is not an expert opinion,” GLAAD spokesman Herndon Graddick told the Denver Post, employing the same demonizing rhetoric used by the Southern Poverty Law Center — which labels mainstream pro-family organizations opposed to homosexuality like Americans For Truth, American Family Association and Family Research Council as “hate groups.”

GLAAD is asking its followers to provide critical information back to them against the 36 pro-family advocates — which GLAAD will then relay to “reporter, editors, show runners, and guest bookers [who] need to know about the violently anti-LGBT rhetoric that many of their guests regularly use.”

The following pro-family leaders are listed in GLAAD’s CAP list: Campaign for Working Familes’ Gary Bauer, historian David Barton, NOM’s Brian Brown, Liberty Council Action’s Matt Barber, Dr. Michael Brown, Exodus International’s Alan Chambers, Mass Resistance’s Brian Camenker, Prison Fellowship’s Chuck Colson, Focus on the Family’s Jim Daly, Catholic League’s Bill Donohue, Christian Civic League of Maine’s Bob Emrich, Lou Engle, WND.com’s Joseph Farah, AFA’s Bryan Fischer, NOM founder Maggie Gallagher, California Prop 8 leader and pastor Jim Garlow, Princeton Prof. Robert George, Antioch Bible Church pastor Ken Hutcherson, pastor Harry Jackson, AFTAH’s Peter LaBarbera, Defend the Family International’s Scott Lively, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Albert Mohler, radio host Kevin McCullough, Ruth Institute’s Jennifer Roback Morse, CWA’s Penny Nance, Christopher Plante, Focus on the Family’s Glenn Stanton, Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver, FRC’s Peter Sprigg, Vision America’s Rick Scarborough, author Frank Turek, Bob Vander Plaats, and Don Wildmon and his son, Tim Wildmon, of AFA.

What’s Wrong with ‘Gay Pride’? Radio Essay by New SPLC Target Linda Harvey

Friday, March 9th, 2012
Linda Harvey has been viciously slandered by homosexual activists for taking a leading role in exposing the Homosexual Lobby and especially its corruption of American youth.

Folks, my good friend Linda Harvey’s organization, Mission America, has recently been added to the (bogus) list of “hate groups” created by the leftist, pro-homosexuality scam-artists over at Southern Poverty Law Center (welcome to the club, Linda!). Translation: Linda is an effective truth-teller and principled opponent of the homosexual activist lobby. She and her husband, Tom, are wonderful Christians who use their many talents to selflessly serve the Lord, and as such are models for citizen action. It was an honor for AFTAH to co-sponsor with Mission America our second Truth Academy, last year in Columbus [Audio-CD ordering information HERE].

As a reward for telling the truth about the (changeable, unhealthy) sin of homosexuality and those who celebrate it, Linda has been on the receiving end of some of the most vile and nasty e-mails and blog posts you can imagine. (She just forwarded me a few rancid e-mails from the Forces of Tolerance.) Yes, we all know who the real hateful bigots are — so isn’t it queer how the SPLC has never labeled a homosexual activist organization as a “hate group” (even one like the Chicago “Gay Liberation Network,” which explicitly REFUSED to condemn a pro-homosexual brick attack against Americans For Truth)? Press on, Linda, you’re in good company! — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

TAKE ACTION: The “gay” lobby is corrupting and endangering our young people by promoting deviant identities and harmful sexual/gender behaviors to them in the nice-sounding name of “equality.” Get connected with Mission America and make a donation to advance Linda’s fine work; send regular mail checks to: Mission America, P.O. Box 21836, Columbus, OH 43221-0836. (Currently there is no online giving option.)

AFTAH ‘March Money-Bomb’: While you’re at it, make a small gift (or a large one) to Americans For Truth to help AFTAH reach our “March Money-bomb” goal of $10,000 by the end of the month: www.americansfortruth.com/donate/. Regular mail gifts: AFTAH, PO Box 5522, Naperville, IL 60567-5522.

Here is the transcript of a radio commentary by Linda Harvey for the Columbus, Ohio radio station WRFD from last June dealing with so-called “gay pride month”:

_________________________________________

Mission America Commentary, June 2011

What’s Wrong with “Gay” Pride?

June used to be a month for weddings, graduations, Father’s Day and the beginning of summer. Unfortunately in recent years, it is also a time when all over the nation, many cities sponsor homosexual “pride” events. But I think these events are a time for shame and sorrow, not pride.

Columbus will hold a gay pride parade on Saturday, June 18th, Cleveland’s will be Saturday, June 25th, and Cincinnati’s is on July 10. Dayton already held a parade on June 4th.

For the third year in a row, our President issued an official White House Proclamation declaring June  “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender” Pride Month.

Kirk Cameron Responds to Criticism after Calling Homosexuality ‘Unnatural’ in Piers Morgan CNN Interview

Wednesday, March 7th, 2012

Online flier by homosexual activist group GLAAD smears Kirk Cameron as "anti-gay extremist."

The following is Christian actor/director Kirk Cameron’s response (posted on his Facebook page) to the controversy and pro-homosexual vitriol over his comments on homosexuality, in a recent interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan. (A transcript of the interview can be found HERE; watch the three-minute interview segment HERE; and go HERE for the homosexual activist group GLAAD’s online attack on Cameron.)

______________________________

I recently was asked to join Piers Morgan on CNN for an interview about my new film “Monumental.” During that discussion, I was asked to express my views about homosexuality, gay marriage, and abortion. While that was not the agreed-upon purpose of the interview, I was pleased to answer Piers’ questions as honestly as I could.

In some people’s eyes, my responses were not sufficiently “loving” toward those in the gay community. I can only say that it is my life’s mission to love all people, and that I expressed the same views that are expressed clearly and emphatically throughout the Judeo-Christian scriptures. As a Bible believing Christian, I could not have answered any other way.

Homosexual Pressure Group GLAAD Smears Kirk Cameron as ‘Anti-Gay Extremist’

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012
Kirk Cameron has bravely stood for Christian and biblical values in Hollywood.

Below is a graphic put out by the homosexual media pressure group GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) — smearing Kirk Cameron as an “anti-gay extremist” for his recent heartfelt comments about homosexual behavior and “same-sex marriage,” on CNN’s Piers Morgan show. Watch the CNN interview HERE. As you can see, this is not the tone of an “extremist” but a thoughtful Christian man who is smart enough to know that Hollywood liberals and LGBT militants will pounce on any statement  he makes critical of homosexual behavor, which God through the Bible condemns. (By the way, I think Kirk would have been better off just saying “yes” to Morgan’s question about whether he believes homosexuality is a sin.)

On his Facebook page, Cameron writes, in part:

[In the CNN interview] I expressed the same views that are expressed clearly and emphatically throughout the Judeo-Christian scriptures. As a Bible believing Christian, I could not have answered any other way….

I also believe that freedom of speech and freedom of religion go hand-in-hand in America. I should be able to express moral views on social issues–especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years–without being slandered, accused of hate speech, and told from those who preach “tolerance” that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I’m in the public square.

I hope more than a few people could see the large volume of secularist morality being imposed on me….
