[CORRECTION: we received a note from homosexual blogger Joe Jervis (Joe.My.God.) pointing us to a Human Events article by Lisa De Pasquale that clarifies some careless reporting by Politico of Ann Coulter’s GOProud speech: it was not a GOProud member (as I reported, relying on Politico) but rather a joking Greg Gutfeld of the latenight FOX show “Red Eye” who “heckled” Coulter, blurting out, “What’s wrong with fisting?” after she — using her patented comic hyperbole — accused liberals of wanting to teach kindergartners about “fisting.” Coulter and Gutfeld are friends. (Her point of reference was surely the infamous 2000 Boston “Fistgate” incident, in which middle- high school kids actually WERE instructed verbally about “fisting” — at a Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Netword (GLSEN)-sponsored conference. (“Fisting” is a dangerous homosexual sadomasochistic perversion in which a man inserts his arm up another man’s rectum.)

Yes, and no. We pulled the post because a Tweet we thought was produced by NOM was actually put up by a NOM ally, Louis Marinelli (who was heavily involved in NOM’s multi-city “Summer for Marriage Tour”). The tweet, shown at right, is unfortunate — coming as it does from a pro-family leader who should know better — but much less so than if it had been produced by the leading advocacy group for traditional marriage. Ret. Col. Dick Black said that new rules for the military under President Obama have politicized and made more difficult the reporting of illegal homosexual misconduct.
This is Part One of our interview with decorated war hero and former Virginia state legislator Col. Dick Black. It aired on WYLL-Chicago Sept. 25, 2010. Col. Black is a decorated Marine (including a Purple Heart Medal, three Legions of Merit, the Army Staff General Badge and Naval Aviators’ Wings of Gold) who flew 269 combat helicopter missions in Vietnam. Later, he was commissioned as a Major in the JAG Corps and was responsible for criminal prosecutions. Col. Black has a unique understanding of the importance of maintaining the ban on homosexuality in the Armed Forces. He discusses the “pro-homosexual” elites in the military working to bring homosexuals into the ranks, and notes that ending the homosexual ban will result ultimately in more HIV-positive soldiers throughout the military — who end up being non-deployable. We hate to rely on a story by AP (Always Politically Correct), but our friends at AFA’s OneNewsNow did so and we will as well. I have not yet read the details of this latest homosexuals-in-the-military case. But I do know this: as with the rest of society, when everyday officers and servicemembers imbibe the “new” American morality (which is at its core merely a rejection of God and true, biblically-based morality) and defend open homosexuality in the ranks, it undermines the preservation of a noble military.
That is just another way of saying that a degraded military reflects a degraded society.
When the practice of homosexuality — once widely regarded as sinful and abhorrent, deviant, and a sign of bad character — becomes a trivial matter, it is not surprising that efforts to disconnect it from punishment will gain in popularity. These efforts will be abetted by corrupt, liberal judges who yearn to make law — not interpret it — because … well, because they think they’re smarter than the rest of us, and even smarter than lawmakers. Hence the successful “gay” campaign to decriminalize anti-sodomy laws. (Cunning homosexual activists took it up a notch by making their favored perversion the basis for a new brand of “civil rights” — one that apparently even supersedes the rights of moral citizens to act based on their disagreement with this disordered lifestyle.)
America does not need a post-moral military, but it may be what we deserve. The irony is that if President Obama and his determined “queer” allies succeed in turning our Armed Forces into a driving force for immorality, it will only hasten the deterioration of our culture to the point, ultimately, where weapons and soldiers cannot save us from oblivion. His Excellency, Timothy Broglio, the Archbishop for the Military Services, released a statement to the Catholic News Agency responding to a letter from Catholics for Equality; the gay advocacy group pleaded with him to support the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”
Catholic League president Bill Donohue spoke to this issue today:
On June 1, Archbishop Broglio released an excellent statement recounting the Catholic Church’s opposition to homosexuality. He called on Catholic chaplains in the armed forces to show respect for the dignity of homosexuals, but he also implored them to “never condone—even silently—homosexual behavior.”
On September 17, a new dissident group, Catholics for Equality, wrote a letter to the archbishop that was not only critical of his Catholic position, it reeked with smugness and arrogance: “We are ready to help you and Catholic chaplains in the transition to full acceptance of gays and lesbians in the military and respectfully request a meeting with you….” So thoughtful of these malcontents to offer their help in transitioning the bishop to oppose the Catholic Church’s teachings on sexuality.

Republicans block bill to lift military gay ban

WASHINGTON – Senate Republicans on Tuesday blocked an effort to repeal the ban on gays from serving openly in the military, handing gay rights groups a defeat in their last chance any time soon to overturn the law known as “don’t ask, don’t tell.”
Democrats fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance the legislation, which authorized $726 billion in defense spending. The vote was 56-43.
Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, had been seen as the crucial 60th vote because she supports overturning the military ban. But Collins sided with her GOP colleagues in arguing that Republicans weren’t given sufficient leeway to offer amendments to the wide-ranging policy bill.
The vote fell mostly along party lines, although Sens. Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, both D-Ark., sided with Republicans to block the bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., also voted against the measure as a procedural tactic. Under Senate rules, casting his vote with the majority of the Senate enables him to revive the bill at a later date.

Sen. Reid Goes ‘Gaga’ over Homosexuals in the Military

Folks, you know as well as I that the media — and apparently Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — are absolutely “ga ga” over “gays in the military.” (Reid recenly ‘tweeted’ in support of pop mega-star Lady Gaga — freakishly photographed nude on the cover of the “gay” magazine OUT above — after she urged her millions of followers to lobby the Senate to support homosexuals in the military.)
This is what we’re up against — not just for today’s critical vote on homosexuals in the military (commonly misnamed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”) but in trying to preserve truth for younger Americans who are, in effect, brainwashed on homosexuality. (And that is hardly an overstatement given the level of ignorance about the LGBT agenda that we’re seeing, even among Christian and pro-life youths.)
