Says Obama has come full circle by returning to early support of homosexual “marriage”
Patrick Wooden spoke across the state of North Carolina in support of the Marriage Amendment, which passed by 61-39 on May 8, 2012.
This is the first of a two-part interview with Raleigh pastor Patrick Wooden on the landslide passage of the North Carolina Marriage Amendment May 8, 2012 [click HERE to listen]. Wooden, pastor of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ Church in Raleigh, discusses how homosexual activists sought to confuse North Carolina voters on the Marriage Amendment, which passed by a 61-39 percent margin. He said many citizens had not even read the Marriage Amendment language, which in its simplicity would expose the “outright lies” of the opposition in exaggerating its effect of the amendement in the state. He also discusses President Barack Obama’s capitulation on the homosexual “marriage” issue–which he says is contradictory to Obama’s professed Christian faith. As he did in justifying his support (as a "Christian") for homosexuality, President Obama twists the Bible and specifically the Golden Rule to justify his embrace of homosexual "marriage."
CHICAGO–Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) President Peter LaBarbera issued the following statement today on President Barack Obama announcing his support for homosexual “marriage”:
President Obama’s embrace of homosexual “marriage” (so-called) is surprising only in its timing. Most Americans do not realize that Obama was FOR homosexual “marriage” years ago as a State Senate candidate in Illinois, before switching to “Civil Unions.” Now this president, like a chameleon changing colors, returns full circle to advocating “marriage” between people of the same sex – as a public Christian, no less.
Obama’s embrace of homosexual “marriage” (an oxymoron) completes his sellout of the American people, and of God, on this critical issue that speaks to issues far deeper than politics. Many will remember this 2008 presidential debate exchange between then-candidate Sen. Obama and Saddleback Church pastor Rick Warren:
REV. RICK WARREN: Define marriage.
SEN. BARACK OBAMA: I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. (Applause.) Now, for me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union. You know, God’s in the mix. (Applause.)
That solemn affirmation of real marriage helped Obama become president, but four years later it appears to have been a sham –an artful pose intended to convey piety and moderation to gullible Christians. As President, Obama has gone so far as to unconstitutionally refuse to defend the Defense of Marriage Act – passed overwhelmingly by a bipartisan Congress and signed into law by Democratic president Bill Clinton — to help his homosexual activist allies in their “marriage” quest. Yet they demanded more.
Once again, as he did to justify his support of proud homosexuality (dismissing Romans 1), the president twists Scripture to rationalize his expedient rejection of biblical Truth. With unparalleled chutzpah, the same Obama who called marriage “sacred” now cites the Golden Rule to justify its absurd and revolutionary redefinition to include sexual perversion (homosexuality). It seems precious little is truly sacred to the Left, secular or religious. God cannot bless sin, and no true Christian would confirm others in a sinful lifestyle – one that merits eternal judgment (I Corinthians 6). The good news is that many men and women once trapped in homosexuality have found freedom through the same Christ whose words Obama distorts.
Congratulations to all the grassroots pro-family activists who worked so hard to get this long-awaited Marriage Amendent passed in North Carolina. Below is an electoral map showing pro-Marriage Amendment counties in green, and anti- in red. With 98 percent of the votes counted last night, 1,303,000 (61 percent) had voted FOR the amendment, and 821,625 (39 percent) had voted AGAINST it. They used to arrest middle-aged perverts who get their jollies from talking dirty to children. Today, they get a television show, a nationally syndicated column, a lecture circuit and multiple visits to the Obama White House.
You know: “Forward.”
The irony is palpable. Dan Savage, sex columnist and founder of the LGBT anti-bullying “It Gets Better” campaign, has been outed. Not as a homosexual. He’s out and proud in that regard. In fact, Savage pushes his “anything goes” brand of sexual anarchy on kids worldwide. MTV has even given the sex-obsessed radical his own show, “Savage U” – a moral-relativist platform from which to corrupt the kiddos.
Creepy stuff.
Savage has finally managed to publicly discredit himself as the anti-Christian bigot and bully he’s always been. Never again will this guy be taken seriously as an anti-bullying crusader.
Savage lectures teens in high schools and colleges around the country on the benefits of “non-monogamy,” the occasional “three-way” tryst and any other disease-spreading sexual impulse that might cross their impressionable, hormone-charged young minds (and many they can’t yet imagine).
Well, recently, rather than just shocking his teenaged audience with vulgar, sophomoric psychobabble as usual, Savage apparently thought it’d be fun to bully the kids with whom he disagreed.
While addressing a crowd of hundreds of high schoolers at the National High School Journalism Convention, Savage launched into an unhinged anti-Christian diatribe. He advised the teens to “ignore the [bulls–t] in the Bible” about sexual morality. “We ignore [bulls–t] in the Bible about all sorts of things,” he barked.

The lies from the homosexual activist movement keep coming, and naturally Americans For Truth is a target of them because we’re helping to peel away the “rainbow” veneer to show the ugly reality of homosexual activism.
On Sunday evening (April 29, 2012), I attended the Dan Savage speech at Elmhurst College with Grace Gospel Fellowship pastor John Kirkwood and a few other hardy Christians. (The chapel was packed, mostly with Savage supporters, many of them students.) What ensued was shocking, unless you are familiar with the hard-cored homosexual activism. Needless to say, Savage gave the type of profane, Christianity-bashing speech for which he has become notorious — in a chapel, no less. I was prepared for the foul-mouthed, anti-Christian barbs (e.g., “What the pope is saying [regarding the threat of “gay marriage”] is that the only thing that stands between my [d**k] and Brad Pitt’s mouth is a piece of paper”…), but not for what happened next: after I asked Savage a critical question in the Q&A (about his nasty hate-site, “Santorum[dot]com”), I was kicked out of the event by Elmhurst College security. This happened after the woman sitting next to me committed an act that can fairly be described as the sort of thing that, well… that a bully would do. Peter LaBarbera, President of Americans for Truth, interviewed Susan Wright, Founder of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, on September 28, 2008, at the annual “Folsom Street Fair” in San Francisco. (LaBarbera and several other pro-family advocates were there to protest and document the open nudity that occurs every year, with police protection, at Folsom.) In this portion of amateur video shot by Diane Gramley of American Family Association of Pennsylvania, Wright affirms her belief that sadomasochism is a “sexual orientation.” (She referes to BDSM, which according to practitioners stands for “Bondage & Discipline, Domination & Submission, Sadism & Masochism.”) The first part of the video is a discussion about tolerance; start watching at 3:14 as it turns to behavior (as LaBarbera calls it) versus Wright’s view of “orientation.”
