LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews LDS Utah Activist Stephen Graham on Mormon Church Backpedaling on Homosexual Agenda – Part One

Stephen Graham

Stephen Graham

After a hiatus, AFTAH is back on the air. This podcast [click HERE to listen], recorded May 16, 2013, is Part One of our interview with Mormon pro-family activist Stephen Graham, founder of Standard of Liberty, a group based in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Graham discusses the Mormon Church’s (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) retreat on the homosexualist agenda — especially after the LDS Church was hammered by the pro-“gay” Left for funding and supporting the Prop 8 constitutional amendment to protect marriage in California as one-man, one-woman. At about the 8:18 point on this audio, Graham cuts to the root of the Mormon pullback in resisting the overarching “gay” agenda (including “same-sex marriage”): a fear that bad publicity will limit the ability of its farflung missionaries to engage potential converts.

Graham describes his disappointment with Mormon Church leaders for failing to stand resolutely against the liberalization of the current Boy Scouts of America (BSA) policy prohibiting openly homosexual Scouts. AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera, co-host John Kirkwood and Graham agree that had LDS leaders done so — given the Mormons’ huge sway with the Scouts — the potential for BSA capitulation on the homosexual issue would have been greatly diminished. LaBarbera references a Mother Jones article about the LDS Church cuttin back on funding anti-“homosexual marriage” state ballot measures in 2012, and Graham says the MJ article is accurate. The discussion ends with a focus on how the fear of losing corporate funding led to the Scouts’ proposed policy change — and how pro-family companies like Chick-fil-A and Hobby Lobby should step in and offer to make up any lost corporate grants to the BSA.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Amy Contrada (Part Four) and Brian Camenker on Bullying, GOP Shift on Homosexuality

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012

This is the last of a four-part interview [click HERE to listen] with Massachusetts family advocate Amy Contrada, author of “Mitt Romney’s Deception: His Stealth Promotion of ‘Gay Rights’ and ‘Gay Marriage’ in Massachusetts.” Amy is joined by Brian Camenker, founder of Mass Resistance, the leading organization confronting the homosexual-bisexual-transgender agenda in the Bay State. This interview was pre-recorded in WYLL’s studios in Chicago April 4, 2012 and aired on WYLL April 21st. Contrada and Camenker discuss the growth of the “gay youth” agenda in Boston and the use of “anti-bullying” legislation to stifle free speech in schools. They also discusses how wealthy Republicans led by Paul Singer (a major backer of Mitt Romney) funded the pro-homosexual “marriage” effort in New York.

Previous AFTAH interview with Camenker and Contrada can be found by searching their names at www.aftah.org.

Olympic Gold Medalist Peter Vidmar Should Not Have Resigned under ‘Gay’ Pressure: LaBarbera

AFTAH in the News: Another victim of ‘homo-fascism’

Dear AFTAH Readers,

Homo-fascism is escalating, and good people — and the national interest — are its tragic victims.  The idea that Americans should be smeared as “hateful” because they take a stand against oxymoronic “same-sex marriage” — when citizens in 31 states voted to defend traditional (real) marriage — is beyond absurd.  (In fact, it is hateful!)  The name of the game is INTIMIDATION — and after so many years of practice, the “gay” activists are quite good at it.  But their strategy could not work without the liberal media acting as a de facto arm of the Homosexual Lobby.

Of course, my heart goes out to Peter Vidmar — and all victims of homosexualist intolerance — but at some point leaders will have to stand up to the “gay” bullies or America will cease to be a free land.  You can call or write Vidmar (760-603-8010) using THIS FORM, or send him an e-mail at info@speakersoffice.com.  To call Congress to voice your strong opposition to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act — a federal “sexual orientation” bill that would surely create thousands of new “Peter Vidmars” (always in the name of “tolerance” and “gay civil rights,” of course…) — call 202-224-3121 (Senate) or 202-225-3121 (House).  Or go to www.Congress.org[More info on ENDA: Click HERE for a GovTrack report on the 2011 version of ENDA, HR 1397; click HERE to read my piece: “14 Good Reasons to Oppose the ‘ENDA Our Freedom’ Bill”]

Stay strong: the homo-fascists may be winning now, but Americans will see through their schemes, and fight back against their evil agenda of demonizing religious people by equating the defense of historic Judeo-Christian values with  “hate and bigotry.”  — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.orgamericansfortruth@gmail.com

Gay Lobby Group Human Rights Campaign Exploits Suicides to Attack Mormon Church

Monday, October 4th, 2010

Enough is enough: from my Facebook page:

No shame: HRC and other homosexual groups are exploiting the tragic suicides of sexually confused kids to attack religion: http://www.hrc.org/14955.htm.

The following is excerpted from Human Rights Campaign’s latest attack on religion– Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org:

HRC to Mormon Apostle: Your Statements are Inaccurate and Dangerous

Mormon Leader’s Inaccurate Statements Yesterday Fuel Anti-LGBT Violence, Teen Suicides

[Human Rights Campaign website] 10/4/2010

Washington – The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest civil rights organization dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality, today called on Boyd K. Packer, the president of the Mormon Church’s Quorum of Twelve Apostles, to correct statements he made yesterday calling same-sex attraction “impure and unnatural,” claiming that it can be corrected and characterizing same-sex marriage as immoral. Packer’s inaccurate and dangerous rhetoric comes on the heels of the suicides of at least four teenagers over the past month, all victims of anti-gay bullying or harassment. ….

Sutherland Institute Calls LDS Support of Salt Lake City ‘Gay Rights’ Ordinance ‘Problematic’

Friday, November 13th, 2009

The following statement was released by the Sutherland Institute, a conservative, pro-family public-policy organization based in Salt Lake City, Utah:

Sutherland Statement on Salt Lake City Nondiscrimination Ordinances and LDS  [Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints] Support

In response to the November 10, 2009 decision of the Salt Lake City Council to adopt changes in Salt Lake City’s nondiscrimination ordinances, and to comments presented that evening by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), the Sutherland Institute issued the following statement:

Gary Glenn Responds to Regrettable Mormon Church Decision to Back ‘Gay Rights’ Laws

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Below is an informative piece by my friend Gary Glenn of the American Family Association of Michigan about the awful decision by the LDS Church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) to support legislation granting legal protections based on homosexuality. Gary of AFA-Michigan writes:

A Shocker from Salt Lake City:

The LDS (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) Church now officially endorses so-called “gay rights” laws, specifically a Salt Lake City law prohibiting “discrimination” on the basis of “sexual orientation” (homosexual behavior) and “gender identity” (cross-dressing).

From the official LDS Church website:
http://newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/eng/news-releases-stories/church-supports-nondiscrimination-ordinances

ASSOCIATED PRESS: “Mormons throw support behind gay-rights cause”

DESERET NEWS: “Mormon church supports Salt Lake City’s protections for gay rights”

Astoundingly, both the Massachusetts and California supreme courts expressly and specifically cited their states’ identical “sexual orientation” laws regarding employment and housing as a legal justification for their rulings legalizing so-called homosexual “marriage.”  That indisputable fact alone renders the Church spokesman’s claim that its endorsement of the “sexual orientation” ordinance poses no threat to marriage to be utter nonsense, especially since the Church’s new position will certainly boost homosexual activists’ ongoing efforts in the Utah Legislature to enact an identical state law.

Media Almost Outnumber Protesters at Anti-Mormon ‘Kiss-in’ at San Diego Temple

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

sandiegomormontemple.jpg Media Swarm over Homosexual “Kiss-in” at Mormon Temple: Pro-homosexual protesters were almost outnumbered by (pro-homosexual) media at yesterday’s “gay” kiss-in protest outside the gates of the San Diego Mormon temple (left), according to one “gay” account. Meanwhile, the media largely ignore conservative protests and press conferences — such as AFTAH’s against President Obama’s homosexualist agenda.

By Peter LaBarbera

I sent the note below to homosexual journalist Rex Wockner after reading his photo-story on the anti-Mormon “kiss-in” protest yesterday in San Diego. (See AFTAH’s report condemning the event HERE.) Turns out this is just one of many “kiss-ins” that have targeted the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) church after a male homosexual couple was arrested for trespassing on LDS church property in Salt Lake City after (if you believe LDS officials) flaunting their homosexuality. My goodness, that’s right up there with Jim Crow and anti-black segregation of the past — not. “Those big, bad churches won’t let us celebrate our deviant sexuality!” Oh, the heterosupremacy of it all!
