Peace in Our Time? Apparently some evangelical “leaders” are taking their cues from 20th-Century British appeaser Neville Chamberlain in seeking to work out an unbiblical compromise with the powerful homosexual-bisexual-transgender lobby–supposedly to preserve their religious freedoms. No Christian should support the creation of “rights” based on sinful sexual behaviors that are changeable and do not define a person.
“Jesus didn’t formulate the Golden Rule to provide special legal protections for, and promotion of, immoral behavior.”

Folks, the largely Christian social conservative movement never seems to learn that by constantly “playing defense” and backing up in the face of a hyper-aggressive LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) movement, we will always lose. Now a group of “leaders” from two evangelical associations are getting in the game, floating a disastrous and cowardly compromise with “gay” and “transgender” activists that if enacted, will only help advance the normalization of sex-and-gender perversion in the United States. Prof. Robert Gagnon, probably the world’s leading authority on the Bible and homosexuality, ably responds to their misguided proposal below. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera

Dr. Robert Gagnon’s Response to Evangelical Leaders’ Compromise with LGBT Activists
In a blog post titled “‘Fairness For All’: Smart Politics, Or A Sellout?” (Dec. 13), Rod Dreher, senior editor at The American Conservative, reports a defense of the recent decision by the boards of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) and the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) to support “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” “federal anti-discrimination law in exchange for religious liberty guarantees written into the same law.” The defense was made by “a prominent conservative Evangelical political strategist who works at both the national and state levels” and whom Dreher calls “Smith.” Rod himself professes to be unsure about the whole subject; an uncertainty that appears to be fueled by his usual belief that voting Republican changes nothing.
The substance of the defense is essentially born of naïve utilitarianism, overlaid with a veneer of high rhetoric about standing up for the “rights” of LGBTQ persons. In effect: We are losing the battle over human sexuality in the culture so, while we still can, let’s cut a deal with proponents of all things “gay” and “transgender” that gives us something in return. They will (allegedly) recognize our good will and then become favorably disposed to protect our “religious liberties” in both the short- and long-term.
The problem with the argument is that it amounts to a policy of appeasement with sexual extremists who advocate (from our perspective) a grossly immoral sexual policy and have never exhibited a “we’ll stop here approach” before. It is an appeasement that requires us to sacrifice our basic principles to get some statutory assurance that can easily be retracted by legislative vote after a full-court indoctrination surge, predicated on the new law, overwhelms remaining resistance. In addition, it is an appeasement that provides only the narrowest of exemptions for religious institutions while throwing under the bus the vast majority of Christians who work and live outside those institutions.
Activist Bill Whatcott speaking Dec. 1, 2018 on the history of homosexual activism in Canada and the tyranny of the nation’s “human rights” commissions.
The following is the text of Canadian pro-family activist Bill Whatcott’s speech at the Agape Global Fellowship , December 1, 2018, on the history of homosexual activism in Canada and the hijacking of Human Rights Commissions to push the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) agenda in Canada (which he calls a “not so free country”). Bill and I were jailed for speaking out peacefully against homosexuality at a public university in Saskatchewan, Canada back in 2014; a judge later exonerated us.
Though his tactics are unorthodox to say the least (e.g., sneaking in to the Toronto “Gay Pride” dressed as green “zombies” for a “gay cannabis” club), Whatcott is easily the bravest and boldest defender of truth against the LGBTQueer movement in all of Canada. The homosexual movement has gained tremendous power there, and is using it to essentially ban dissent from people like Bill who dare speak out against it. That includes Christians, who are losing their right to teach and defend their biblical beliefs. We’ll have more on Whatcott’s current struggle involving his alleged “crime” of “misgendering” a “male-to-female” transsexual activist politician, Ronan Oger, in future posts. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH; Twitter: @Peter LaBarbera

Grace, mercy and peace in the name of God the Father and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Thank you for inviting me here to speak on the important and highly relevant issue of the state of religious freedom, freedom of conscience and freedom of speech in Canada. Let me start by giving a brief history of the homosexual activist movement in Canada and its hijacking of human rights commissions to give perspective to my arguments.
It has now been 50 years since former Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau famously plagiarized the Globe and Mail writer Martin O’Malley’s intellectually dishonest comment “the state has no place in the bedrooms of the nation.” Of course, we can look at the past 50 years and see what Trudeau assured us would merely be legalizing private consensual activity in the bedroom, has grown into something much more than that. In a few short years sodomy moved from the bedroom to the public square in ways completely unforeseen by Canadians at the time and really without precedent in history.
The first public display of support for homosexuality in Canada appeared on Hanlon’s Point on Toronto Island in 1971 two years after Pierre Trudeau legalized sodomy. The event was known as “Gay Days” and was organized by two homosexual activist groups, one known as “Toronto Gay Action” and the other as “The Community Homophile Association.” If one reads the early accounts of these activist events one can see public nudity and promiscuous sexual activity was already integral to the so-called “gay” liberation movement.

Brian Sean Fitzpatrick, 1960-2018.
The following is adapted from email conversations between my good friend and former AFTAH adviser Brian Fitzpatrick and his fiancée, Trinka Jeffery. The night of December 4, 2018, Brian passed away suddenly, at 58, to be with his Savior, Jesus. On a personal note, Brian was my best friend a really terrific guy who loved and served God. I am sad that we will no longer be able to talk, hang out and laugh together here on earth, but I know he is in a much better place. And I am grateful for what God did in his life. Minor edits, additions and web links have been made for the sake of clarity and to provide additional resources. I will see you again one day, my friend! – Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH.org; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera
Note: There is a memorial service for Brian on Saturday, Jan. 5th at the Philippine International Bible Church in Laytonsville, MD. Reception: 3:00 pm; service 3:30. ___________________________
Introductory note:
I’m Trinka Jeffery, Brian Fitzpatrick’s fiancée.
Brian had a story that he would want you to know. Much of our courtship was in writing, and I’ve compiled his story, using his own words.
Please … will you enjoy a last little visit with Brian, with me?
I asked Brian how he came to know God the Father and his Son personally, and this is what he told me:

From Atheist Scoffer to Christian Believer: The Testimony of Brian Fitzpatrick
As shared with Trinka Jeffery, August 13, 2017…
By Brian Fitzpatrick
I was not someone who would easily convert. It happened on a singles retreat, which I went to mostly because they were going to play softball. I brought a bat along in case somebody tried to baptize me in a river.
I grew up in a Catholic family, but at age 12 we studied Greek mythology in school, and it occurred to me that the Greeks believed in their gods just as I believed in Jesus and Mary, but both couldn’t be true.
My catechism teachers had no answers. So I decided to become an atheist. (OK … maybe partially so I wouldn’t have to get up on Sunday mornings.)
My parents weren’t pleased, and we fought over it for three years. At 14, I was required to be confirmed. I chose the confirmation name Thomas (for doubts), but this was forbidden because “it would kill your grandfather.” So I was confirmed as Michael because I thought the spelling was cool.
At age 20 or so, I read some philosophy and logic and learned that you can’t prove a negative, therefore you can’t prove God does not exist, therefore my atheism was irrational. So I became an extremely skeptical agnostic.
The first time somebody witnessed to me, it was a man from Campus Crusade [for Christ, later renamed Cru] during my freshman year in college. I was a rather bitter atheist, full of disdain for these hicks and very confident in what I didn’t know. I didn’t even let them in my dorm room. I stepped into the hallway and verbally fenced for 45 minutes or so: “How do you know this is true” and so forth. Eventually they left and I went down the hall to the opposite stairway and ran ahead of them to the room of two fellow iconoclasts. “The God Squad is on the way!”
Yesterday [Dec. 4] my best friend, Brian Fitzpatrick, passed away suddenly. He was a great man. Though weak physically, he had a tremendous heart for God, and lived for Him. I will miss him, but am comforted knowing that he is now in the glorious presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
In addition to being like a brother to me, Brian was a big part of Americans For Truth. He was a strong influence on AFTAH becoming more biblically and morality-focused in our approach to the LGBTQ “culture war.” (He would say, and I’m paraphrasing: “The less the Bible is mentioned in the public square, the less relevant it becomes to Americans and the larger culture.”)
The photo at right is of Brian speaking at our rally June 26, 2018 in front of the Supreme Court marking the third anniversary of the devastating, God-dishonoring Obergefell v. Hodges ruling on that effectively imposed homosexuality-based “marriage” on the nation. Brian leaves behind his parents and family, and fiancée, Trinka. They were to be married in May. I’ll have more on Brian’s life in an upcoming piece. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH; Twitter; @PeterLaBarbera
This interview by LifeSiteNews founder and publisher Steve Jalsevac with conservative Catholic apologist Peter Kreeft is excellent. Kreeft concisely summarizes the weakness of modern American Christianity in the face of two much bolder foes: the LGBTQueer movement and fundamentalist Islam. Was a man then, is a man now: Bruce Jenner on the cover of the Wheaties cereal box after winning gold in the decathlon in the 1976 Olympic Games. One’s sex is not subjective.
Folks, this is a devastating announcement by San Francisco-based Twitter, which if enforced could lead to the expulsion of hundreds if not thousands of conservatives from the social media platform through politicized “hate violations.” See the recent social media corporate actions taken against AFTAH: by Twitter HERE; and by Facebook HERE and HERE. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH; Twitter: @Peter LaBarbera
PS. Bruce (“Caitlyn”) Jenner can never be a woman, because he was born male and will always be a man, possessing male DNA.
I recently did a little computer-generated test to help determine my “physiological age” as compared to my “chronological age.” (Thankfully, I was 8 years younger than my chronological age, 55 rather than 63.) One of the first questions I was asked was whether I was male or female. Why? It’s because – brace yourself! – men are biologically different than women. What a revolutionary concept!
But if a computer program is going to determine your physiological age vs. your chronological age, it needs to know something about your biology since, to repeat, men are different than women.
But it appears Twitter no longer understands this.
So, Twitter has updated its terms of service, adding further information under the category of “Repeated and/or non-consensual slurs, epithets, racist and sexist tropes, or other content that degrades someone.”
Specifically, Twitter explains
“We prohibit targeting individuals with repeated slurs, tropes or other content that intends to dehumanize, degrade or reinforce negative or harmful stereotypes about a protected category. This includes targeted misgendering or deadnaming of transgender individuals.”
Note carefully that last sentence, which singles out “misgendering” and “deadnaming.”
No Criticism of Trans-Insanity Allowed: Facebook cited the above 2016 post as the reason for banishing the private account of AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera for 30 days. The post advertises the 2016 AFTAH banquet presentation by pro-family Christian advocate Linda Harvey. The picture is from the Twitter feed of Alex Matheny, a beautiful young woman who had her healthy breasts surgically removed two years ago in her tragic quest to identify as a man. Just days ago, Facebook “unpublished” Americans For Truth’s FB page, citing similar “hate” violations.

UPDATE, 11-26-18: Today I received this notification from Facebook that my “appeal” had been rejected, so my 30-day “jail” sentence remains. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH:

Dear AFTAH Readers,
Well, what do you know? Just a few days after Americans For Truth’s Facebook page was “unpublished” due to ridiculous alleged “hate” violations [See articles in LifeSiteNews, WND and AFTAH], my private Facebook page (Peter LaBarbera) was just put on 30-day “Facebook jail” notice for the attached post advertising Linda Harvey speaking at the AFTAH banquet–way back in October 2016!
That means for 30 days from Saturday, Nov. 24, I will be unable to post on Facebook or communicate using Facebook’s Messenger service. I clicked the “appeal” button, but don’t count on the nameless, corporate bureaucrats and “social justice warriors” at this social media giant to admit that they made a mistake.
Take a look at my allegedly “hateful” FB post above. So now it’s OK for a severely gender-confused young woman (in this case, Alex Matheny) to have her healthy breasts surgically removed (essentially a medically unnecessary double-mastectomy), but it’s “hate” for us to criticize it and warn parents and youth that this is destructive and wrong? How absurd. Pro-LGBTQueer “Progressives” hate truth.
“Even this traditional icon of Americana … is being co-opted by whitewashed depravity.”—Linda Harvey
Macy’s Corrupts Children — And Liberals Are Loving it: Homosexual behavior is immoral, and proscribed as sinful in the Bible (see Romans 1:26). Yet major corporations like Macy’s–egged on by the radical Human Rights Campaign–are promoting it like never before. This is a photo from a YouTube video of the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, which featured two actresses kissing (we’ve blocked the indecent kiss here). The occasion for the celebration of lesbianism was a new Broadway musical comedy, “The Prom,” about a lesbian student who is frustrated (by Christian bigots, of course) in her attempt to take another girl to her high school prom.
Folks, we’ll have more on this latest abuse of children’s innocence by pro-LGBTQ “progressives.” I was attacked on Twitter for tweeting this about my good friend Linda Harvey’s piece (one fanatic urged Twitter to suspend me):
Cultural Subversion: Macy’s had to *go there* and promote #lesbianism at their parade, because mainstreaming deviance is now a corporate norm, thanks to leftist Sin Movement lobby groups like @HRC: https://t.co/74hh6OlMOV
Hollywood and the media are really, really good at selling sexual perversion. But also remember that much of corporate LGBTQ activism of this type is being done to score points on the LGBTQueer lobby Human Wrongs Rights Campaign’s rigged “Corporate Equality Index” scorecard. That scoring system, outlined by AFTAH HERE, uses deceptive and very unfair tactics to pressure companies to adopt pro-homosexual and pro-“transgender” policies. More on that coming. –Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera
On Thanksgiving morning at 9:00 am, we turned on the TV, eager to see the Ohio State marching band in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. The famous all-brass stars of Big 10 football games were scheduled to be the leading band in the heartwarming procession down Central Park West to 34th Street.
But of course, we weren’t allowed to enjoy this moment before the incessant homosexual agenda was thrust into America’s face.
The cast of the hit Broadway musical “The Prom” performed in the first few minutes of the broadcast, smilingly introduced by NBC’s Hoda Kotb as the story of a teen girl whose high school would rather cancel prom than let her take a girlfriend to the dance. In the scene, the female performers held hands—one in a tuxedo and the other in a dress — and the closing touch was their lesbian kiss.
