AFTAH Radio: Part Two of Interview with Robert Knight, Author of ‘Radical Rulers’May 4th, 2010Knight describes freedom-crushing effects of ENDAIn Part Two of our interview with pro-family veteran Robert Knight, he discusses the reality of “sexual orientation” and the law — specifically, the potential of ENDA (the Employment Non-Discrimination Act) to destroy freedom. Knight is a senior writer for Coral Ridge Ministries and the author of, among other works, “Radical Rulers: The White House Elites Who Are Pushing America Towards Socialism.” Also in this interview (go HERE to listen to Part One), Knight discusses now-discredited sex researcher Alfred Kinsey, Obama’s effort to allow open homosexuals in the U.S. military, and Obama’s radical new appointee to the EEOC, lesbian Chai Feldblum. Many Christians still are unaware of how aggressively pro-homosexual "change agents" are pushing their unbiblical agenda in schools. The follow public prayer was offered by AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera’s yesterday on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. It was part of the national repentance event, “May Day: A Cry to God for a Nation in Distress,” organized by Faith2Action’s Janet Porter: ___________________________________ Dear Heavenly Father, Forgive our nation for our sexual sin. Forgive us for our excessive “tolerance” as a nation – and, as individuals, for the creeping sins, sexual and otherwise, that we have “tolerated” in our own lives. Father, forgive us for not hating sin like you hate sin. And forgive us for confusing merciful love for homosexuals with ungodly acceptance of homosexual behavior itself. Indeed, it is a long, secular road that America has traveled from “abomination” to “gay.” Forgive us for caring more about the prideful words of men than the eternal Word of God. But Father, forgive us most of all for doing so little to protect the next generations of young people from a sexual sin movement known – deceptively – as “Gay.” The Lord Jesus Himself warned us against putting the eternal destinies of children in danger. Yet that is what we have allowed to happen on our watch in this, the most blessed nation on earth. We barely put up resistance as the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network set up pro-homosexual student clubs – first in our high schools, next in our middle schools – and one day (God forbid) they will try to set up these homosexual booster clubs in our elementary schools. Heath is the new director of American Family Association of Maine, and AFA of New England. To listen online to any AFTAH Hour Radio program: go HERE to access MP3s of the “Americans For Truth Hour” radio program, heard every Saturday night at 11:00 PM Central on Chicagoland station WYLL, AM-1160, www.wyll.com. On the “AFTAH Hour” page are interviews with Dawn Stefanowicz, Pete Lines, Brian Camenker, Michael Glatze and Mike Heath. Listen on May 1st for Part Two of our interview with Robert Knight, Coral Ridge Ministries. Latest Program Highlights: Mike Heath, new executive director of American Family Association of New England (and AFA of Maine), discusses the new evangelical politics of the fight against “gay marriage.” Heath himself — despite his veteran status as the leading pro-family advocate opposing the homosexualist agenda in Maine — was “thrown under the bus” in the most recent pro-marriage campaign in Maine, because he was deemed too much of an “anti-gay” lightning rod. NOTE: this interview is a substitute for Part Two of our interview with Bob Knight, author of “Radical Rulers: The White House Elites Who Are Pushing America Towards Socialism” (listen to Part One online HERE). Due to a scheduling conflict, so the second part of Knight’s interview with AFTAH will air this Saturday, May 1 at 11:00 PM on www.wyll.com. Potential Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan Should Reveal if She Is a LesbianApril 30th, 2010Folks, in an era of ubiquitous pro-“gay” messages and pop culture celebration of homosexuality, it is ridiculous that citizens and constituents should be left guessing as to whether a judicial nominee or politician has a special interest in homosexuality. Speculation is rife over whether potential Supreme Court nominee and Solicitor General Elena Kagan is a practicing lesbian. Kagan has a radical pro-homosexual record, including, during her tenure as Harvard law school dean, fighting to keep military recruiters off campus because the military bans open homosexuals. Given the important issues dealing with homosexuality and opposition to it that could come before the court, Kagan should answer the question of whether she has a special, personal interest in lesbianism. In the same way, any politician — especially those representing more conservative areas — should come clean on the homosexuality question, especially if it is an “open secret” or becomes the subject of wide discussion. Just as a “conservative” politician’s constituents have a right to know whether he is secretly a skirt-chaser, they have a right to know if he is practicing immoral homosexual behavior. Our appeal to Ms. Kagan and all hiding-in-the-closet pols: answer the question — “Are you a practicing homosexual or do you consider yourself homosexual (gay)? — and move on. Homosexuals’ privacy interests do not outweigh the public’s right to know about potential conflicts-of-interest in the lives of their representatives and judges. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org American Family Association’s “One News Now” reports: ———————————————— What the people don’t know could hurt themBy Charlie Butts – OneNewsNow – 4/28/2010 The president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) addresses whether a candidate for public office, including the Supreme Court, should declare their sexual preference or leanings. LaBarbera has raised the question because of hints in the press that some of the possible picks for a Supreme Court vacancy are either homosexual or heavily favor special rights for homosexuals. _________________________________ Dear AFTAH Readers, It seems that Focus on the Family (FOTF) is becoming a schizophrenic organization. Recently we applauded Focus for reaffirming a principled position against homosexual judicial nominees. Now, oddly, Jim Daly, FOTF’s new president and CEO, is talking down the pro-family “culture war.” Daly’s softness on public policy must be understood in the context of the ongoing evangelical retreat in the Culture War (typified by the book UnChristian). Many Christians are more concerned with the Church’s “image” than they are with confronting lies in the culture and standing against secular threats like “Gay” and Abortion Lobbies. They claim that Culture War activism hinders the Gospel. But I have found that there are certain questions that “Soft” Evangelicals are hard-pressed to answer: Read the rest of this article » Can a Faithful Christian Practice Yarhouse’s and Throckmorton’s ‘Sexual Identity Therapy’?April 28th, 2010Laurie Higgins says ‘No’
Folks, it’s a heckuva long road from “abomination” (Leviticus 18:22) to “gay” (no Scriptural citation possible). Note the critical difference between acknowledging in a free society that people have the free will to make bad choices (i.e., embrace sin) — and respecting the sinful choices of such individuals as a “valued identity.” Laurie Higgins is right: Mark Yarhouse’s (and Warren Throckmorton’s) “Sexual Identity Therapy” puts Christian professionals in the dangerous position of doing the latter. Here is Yarhouse’s defense of SIT, “Understanding Sexual Identity Therapy.” And here is his and Throckmorton’s paper, “Sexual Identity Therapy: Practicing Guidelines for Managing Sexual Identity Conflicts.” Also, we feel obligated to note that although we concur with Higgins regarding Yarhouse’s strained defense of SIT, we in no way put him in the same category as Throckmorton, the Grove City College professor and one-time pro-“change” advocate who has become a de facto pro-homosexual activist — talking down the possibility of lasting, ex-“gay” change for people caught up in homosexuality even as he disingenuously claims to adhere to biblical orthodoxy. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org Higgins writes (article after jump): Read the rest of this article » Video: Obama Allows Lt. Choi to Make a Mockery of the U.S. MilitaryApril 22nd, 2010Why is Choi still in the military after blasting his Commander-in-Chief — in uniform?![]() Transgender activist "Autumn" Sandeen (the man dressed in a woman's Navy uniform at left) and homosexual activist Lt. Dan Choi (second from left) join others in chaining themselves to the White House gate Wednesday. The Obama administration has delayed responding to a request by Choi's National Guard commanders to discharge him. Lt. Dan Choi (second from left)– homosexual activist, Iraq war veteran, West Point graduate and New York National Guardsman — continues to engage in illegal activism in ratcheting up his pressure campaign to homosexualize the military in the name of “civil rights.” Choi’s latest protest Wednesday was another violation of the longstanding military policy of disallowing political actions in uniform (see earlier actions in the YouTube videos below). We talked with Maj. Kathy Oliver, a spokesman for Choi’s National Guard unit in New York, who relayed that his commanders — having already moved to discharge him last summer but awaiting the Defense Department’s delayed decision on the case — are not taking further actions against Choi for his ongoing public “civil disobedience” against the military. This appears to free up Choi — who remains in the Guard — to engage in more political stunts (in uniform) without additional cost. Lt. Choi is caught up in a media-approved crusade, which he sees as a quest for “integrity” but which in reality is nothing but sexual deviancy activism. Homosexual behavior is immoral and degrading to the soul of those who practice it and to any institution — including the Armed Forces — that “tolerates” it (or worse, celebrates it). Imagine what our military will become if — under Obama’s leadership — it capitulates to “queer” militancy and opens itself up to the full promotion of homosexuality at every level. This will surely lead to a mass exodus of tradition-minded soldiers and sailors who did not sign up for military service to have their religious and moral values abused. Lt. Choi, a bright but confused and over-indulged young man, should be dishonorably discharged from the National Guard post haste. Failure to do so will only chip away at the morale of servicemen who might rightly wonder which other military codes will go unenforced due to Obama’s leftist political considerations. TAKE ACTION: Urge your U.S. Congressman and Senators to oppose ENDA (S. 1584 in the Senate and H.R. 3017 in the House): 202-224-3121; 202-225-3121; www.congress.org. By J. Matt Barber Still suffering indigestion from an Obamacare forced feeding, America may yet have to choke down some bitter dessert. Democrats’ characteristically mislabeled Employment Non-Discrimination Act or ENDA (S. 1584 in the Senate and H.R. 3017 in the House) apparently will be under consideration relatively soon. Rep. Barney Frank, Massachusetts Democrat, ENDA co-sponsor and one of two openly homosexual members of Congress, recently signaled to Boston’s Edge Web site that ENDA will be on the plate sometime after lawmakers return from Easter recess. “The fact is there was no chance of getting [Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi] to focus on this until health care was done. Health care is now done,” he said. According to its leftist proponents, ENDA would merely insulate people who choose to engage in homosexual conduct (sexual orientation) or those who suffer from gender confusion (gender identity) against employment intolerance. In truth, however, this legislation effectively would codify the very thing it purports to combat: workplace discrimination. Read the rest of this article » |
