Mike Heath on ‘Evanjellyfish’

December 17th, 2007

By Mike Heath, Christian Civic League of Maine

That is what Coach Dave Daubenmire calls them.  He is referring to Christian leaders who choose Herod over John.  I imagine them in the crowd gathered around John the Baptist out in the wilderness.  They are the ones that started quaking when John stopped focusing on urging individuals to repent and be baptized.  They became fearful when John turned his preaching on the political elites.  The Bible doesn’t record every conversation John had, of course.  It does hit the highlights, however.  I think John probably made a lot of powerful people uncomfortable during his short time of ministry.  We only know about King Herod.

John confronted Herod.  He didn’t hold anything back.  Herod was a Roman tyrant who literally had the legal right to kill whoever he pleased.  John’s society recognized no individual rights that superseded Herod’s tyrannical power, unlike our great country.  The [Christian Civic League of Maine] is exactly like John the Baptist in the moment he publicly condemned Herod for sleeping with his brother’s wife.  There are some in the crowd who are less pleased with us than they are afraid of Herod….

…I used to care what people like this pastor think.  I’m teaching myself to care more about what God thinks.

I used to think that Chicago historian Martin Marty is right.  He claimed the worst sin is to be mean.  While most Christians worked on fine tuning “nice” Satan made sodomy a virtue.  Imagine it.  The once great Church of England is splitting down the middle over nonsense.  I moved on from Martin Marty to Thomas Oden.  He is a scholar who wrote a book called “Requiem.”  He urges men like me to become known as “young fogeys” for refusing to be intimidated by the sexual orientation mob.

I’m now convinced that nice is merely an excuse to avoid controversy and righteous indignation.  Christians don’t need to get angry about what is being done to their families, children, grandchildren and neighborhoods.  They just need to get Biblical.  They need to take a stand for common sense.  They need to invite everyone to be honest about sexual morality.  Most people think sodomy is perverted, disgusting and miserable — and worse.  Fine by me.  We should encourage everyone who believes that to say it….

DiversityInc Mag Publisher Visconti Compares LaBarbera to Slavery Advocate

December 14th, 2007

luke_visconti.jpg DiversityInc magazine co-founder Luke Visconti (lvisconti@diversityinc.com) showed his own (modern) bigotry and disrespect for people of faith by comparing Americans For Truth president Peter LaBarbera to a 19th Century Christian slavery advocate because LaBarbera opposes homosexuality and pro-homosexual corporate policies. The strongly pro-“gay” DiversityInc disinvited the AFTAH founder to a “Religion in the Workplace” panel discussion after pro-homosexual panelists threatened to boycott the discussion if LaBarbera was allowed to participate.

By Peter LaBarbera

Dear Christian or morality advocate who opposes homosexuality:

Did you know that in the eyes of some liberal, pro-homosexual advocates, you are the moral equivalent of the KKK? Actually, this is nothing new: radical “gay” activists have been making this absurd and hateful analogy for years. This is why I tell religious people all the time: disabuse yourself of the idea that homosexual activists and their liberal fellow travelers “respect” your faith or your right to live it out in the public square. They don’t; they despise your Bible-centered morality, and are quite willing to demonize you for it.

Increasingly, the liberals’ contempt for Christians and religious traditionalists is “out of the closet,” even as they continue with their hollow pleas for ‘tolerance’ and ‘diversity.’

I sent the following note to DiversityInc Executive Editor Barbara Frankel, in response to a column by Luke Visconti, co-founder of DiversityInc, explaining why they were justified in disinviting me to their “Religion in the Workplace” panel discussion. Essentially Visconti’s argument is this: “There is no need to balance human rights,” especially since I [and by extension, other pro-family leaders opposed to homosexuality] am the moral equivalent of slavery advocates.

Frankel and DiversityInc did allow me a full-page column to express my disappointment with their decision to drop Americans For Truth from their panel (see below), to which Visconti was responding.

Visconti’s column cites a 19th Century pastor who used the Bible to justify slavery, and claimed that I am his modern-day equivalent. He also cites the Ku Klux, fascism and other evil or misguided causes which were defended by Christian leaders. (We apologize but the DiversityInc site is having problems so we are not able to provide excerpts of his column at this time.)

In response to my incredulous question to Ms. Frankel — “As an opponent of homosexuality, I am the moral equivalent of a slavery advocate?” — Visconti wrote me:

To answer your question: Yes.

There’s one point on which I agree with you: The discussion should have been in person. I appreciate you taking the offer of writing the column.

Here is my note to Frankel:

Barbara, so that’s it?… As an opponent of homosexuality, I am the moral equivalent of a slavery advocate? I shudder at the arrogance — and insulting bigotry — of your “white guy” founder, Luke Visconti [Visconti has a column in his magazine called, “Ask the White Guy”]. I suppose my African-American friends who agree with me on marriage and sexuality issues are also to be compared with slavery advocates?

The ‘Gay’ Press: Where ‘AIDS Prevention’ and Promiscuity Promotion Co-Exist

December 12th, 2007

crew_club_photo_gay_promiscuity_breeds_aids.jpg Photo on website of the “The Crew Club,” a 24/7 homosexual bathhouse where men go for anonymous sodomitic encounters with other men. Homosexual media like the Washington Blade — which ran a full-page Crew Club ad next to a “World AIDS Day” ad — promote “AIDS awareness” and homosexual promiscuity at the same time. The Crew Club should be shut down as a public health hazard.

By Peter LaBarbera

On November 30, 2007, the homosexual newspaper Washington Blade ran the following side-by-side, full-page ads: 1) PAGE 2: ad highlights “World AIDS Day 2007,” paid for by the Whitman-Walker Clinic; and 2) PAGE 3: ad for “Crew Club,” a 24/7 bathhouse in Washington, D.C., where men go to “hook up” sexually with other men.

The Blade’s ad placement is a microcosm of everything that is wrong with homosexual activists’  hypocritical approach toward HIV/AIDS. They preach “safer sex” but refuse to take a “just say no” approach toward sex businesses like Crew Club that foster anonymous sodomies. Meanwhile, they clamor year after year for increased federal AIDS funding, even though HIV/AIDS research is already massively over-funded compared to other diseases that are NOT linked to immoral conduct.

Here are excerpts from the two Blade ads:

PAGE 2, Washington Blade: “World AIDS DAY 2007” … After 26 years of HIV/AIDS:

  • 500,000 Americans dead of AIDS
  • 1,000,000 Americans HIV-positive
  • 15,000 dead in the DC area
  • 30,000 in DC area HIV-positive

“Join Whitman-Walker Clinic for World AIDS Day. Cherish those lost. Remember those still living. Renew hope for a future free of HIV/AIDS….”

PAGE 3, Washington Blade: “A WORKOUT YOU’LL NEVER FORGET”

“…Private Rooms, Gym & Cardio, Steam Bath, Lockers, Sauna, Much More, 24-7” [shows man grasping another man], The Crew Club, 1321 14th St., NW, DC….

Editor’s Note: “private rooms” are for sexual encounters. An international homosexual “cruising for sex” website describes Crew Club as: “Bathhouse with limited facilities. Open 24 hours.” The comments from the cruising site make clear that men go to the Crew Club to find sex with other men. (I state this obvious point because homosexual activists like Rick Garcia of Equality Illinois sometimes pretend to the media not to know what goes on at these perversion centers.)

Why Does AIDS Receive So Much Funding Compared to other Deadly Diseases?

December 10th, 2007

Federal funding spent on AIDS research vis-a-vis other deadly diseases is once again in the news. Check out this website of the FAIR Foundation (Fair Allocations in Research) to learn more about the massively disproportionate taxpayer spending on HIV/AIDS: http://www.fairfoundation.org/.

WATCH VIDEO: Hannity & Colmes Expose “Folsom Street” Depravities in Pelosi’s District

December 5th, 2007

Hannity stunned; Colmes tries to shift issue away from Pelosi

Well, FOX’s Alan Colmes was carrying water for (Democrat) House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in tonight’s FOX “Hannity & Colmes” segment featuring Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth. But despite his attempt to make ME the bad guy, we succeeded in alerting people across the nation to the shocking depravities that occurred in broad daylight in Speaker Pelosi’s district.

For the record, Alan: we would welcome Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s — or any public official’s — condemnation of the grotesque “Folsom Street Fair”; and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is linked to Folsom because he praised it as a “wonderful and exciting event” in an official welcoming letter in the event’s program

Note Sean Hannity’s near disbelief at our report (and he didn’t even see the video excerpts from the sadistic Folsom “Fair“). This is the reaction of normal America, which remains largely ignorant of the perversions that occur in big cities like San Francisco that celebrate homosexuality. We’ve as yet gotten no response back from Speaker Pelosi:

AFTAH Calls on Speaker Pelosi to Condemn San Francisco Public Nudity and Perversions, Anti-Christian Bigotry

December 3rd, 2007

nancy_pelosi.jpgpony_perversion_folsom-street-fair-2007.JPG TAKE ACTION: Write or call Speaker Nancy Pelosi and urge her to do the right thing by condemning the public nudity and perversions — and blatant anti-Christian bigotry — that occurred in her Congressional District at the “Folsom Street Fair” in San Francisco September 30. Contact Speaker Pelosi at 202-225-0100 or through her online contact page. Educate others about liberal tolerance run amok in San Francisco.

Americans For Truth is delivering the following letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) by courier today. On Wednesday, I will be in Washington, D.C., “speaking truth to power” at the National Press Club, as AFTAH publicly airs our video footage (shot by Allyson Smith) of the obscene “Folsom Street Fair” (See this link: WARNING: OFFENSIVE IMAGES: “Tolerance Gone Wild in San Francisco”) — with its police-tolerated public nudity and street orgies — held in San Francisco September 30.

Most of the city of San Francisco lies within Pelosi’s Eighth Congressional district, which she has represented since 1987. Speaker Pelosi is second in line to the presidency of the United States, behind Vice President Dick Cheney.

Americans For Truth is calling on Speaker Pelosi to publicly condemn the Folsom event and to use her considerable power to help stop similar affronts to public decency from occurring in San Francisco. We are also asking her to denounce the anti-Christian bigotry of the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” — a San Francisco group of men who dress in drag as mock “nuns” — which works directly with Folsom organizers and is a major beneficiary of that sadomasochistic event.

For a reminder of just how bizarre and offensive the Folsom event is — and what San Francisco is willing to “tolerate” — see our photo-story (WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES WITH NUDITY COVERED), “Tolerance Gone Wild in San Francisco.” Unlike the Folsom photos that we posted on our website, the shocking video footage we will show to the media Wednesday will be uncensored — just as it was allowed to occur without police intervention on September 30th.

AFTAH LETTER TO SPEAKER PELOSI:

Americans For Truth About Homosexuality

December 3, 2007
Via Courier

Ms. Nancy Pelosi, Speaker
House of Representatives
United States Capitol Building
Washington, D.C. 20510

Dear Madam Speaker:

Because you frequently extol San Francisco’s values to the rest of America, we are compelled to call your attention to what actually takes place at the Folsom Street Fair and other egregious and offensive “gay pride” celebrations in your Congressional District.

I was in San Francisco with a videographer on Sunday, September 30 and verified but a small segment of the most immoral and outrageous sexual behavior that ever disgraced the streets of any American city. On Wednesday, December 5, at 1:00 p.m. at the National Press Club in Washington, we will release the un-retouched DVD of the public debauchery which we videotaped during the city’s Folsom Street Fair just two months ago. Included is raw and unedited verification of:

• Large numbers of men walking on public streets either fully or partially naked;
Groups of men engaged in orgies on the public street, including acts of oral sex and mutual masturbation, as crowds waked by and snapped pictures.
• Fully exposed men “greeting” other men by grasping other men’s genitals and massaging them in full view of passers-by. The police stood by and did nothing;
• A man sitting on the curb in broad daylight masturbating as crowds of people gawked and took pictures (he even posed for photos with others as he sat there naked and aroused);
• Theatrically dramatic sadomasochistic whippings and floggings – drawing blood and turning the willing “victim’s” skin bright red;
• Abundant flaunting of female nudity and real or simulated sexual acts;
“Master-slave relationships” in which one man or women would “walk” their subservient “slave” with a dog-collar and chain. Others imitated animals (dogs and ponies) as yet another “fetish” on display: we talked to one woman whose mouth was bridled like a horse;
Blatant anti-Christian bigotry in the form of “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” men dressed in drag mocking Catholic nuns, greeting incoming attendees at Folsom; one male “Sister” wore a shirt that read “Bottom for Jesus” (“bottom” refers to his position in anal sex); entrance stickers featured a twisted, S&M-fetish version of DaVinci’s “Last Supper” painting;
Young children with their parents witnessing this perverted and revolting spectacle.

CNN’s Pro-Homosexual Debate Ploy Backfires

November 30th, 2007

‘Gay’ Ret. Brig. Gen. Keith Kerr allowed to critique Republican candidates’ answers

brig_gen_keith_kerr.jpg CNN flew in Retired Brig. Gen. Keith Kerr — a homosexual activist and Log Cabin Republicans member who now crusades for allowing admitted homosexuals in the U.S. military — to its GOP presidential debate Wednesday, so he could CRITIQUE the candidates’ responses to his question about “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” At left is how Kerr — who calls the GOP candidates “partisanly homophobic” — appeared on video during the CNN/YouTube Republican debate. CNN also had another Log Cabin activist ask a pro-homosexual question at the debate. Photo: CNN/YouTube.

cooper_anderson.jpg CNN’s pro-homosexual presidential debate was moderated by Anderson Cooper. A major homosexual magazine, OUT, has “outed” Cooper as one of the nation’s most influential homosexuals. Though Cooper is mum on his “sexual orientation,” his pro-“gay” bias is abundantly clear at CNN, as it was again at Wednesday’s debate. Homosexual activists would come harder after Cooper if his reportage was not so “gay”-friendly. See AFTAH’s adjoining story, “Does CNN’s Anderson Cooper Have a Conflict of Interest on ‘Gay’ Issues?”

TAKE ACTION: Write CNN News at www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5.html?92 and/or Anderson Cooper at http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5.html?10 to comment on their egregious pro-homosexual and anti-Republican bias and lack of professionalism in the CNN/Youtube presidential debate Wednesday.

By Peter LaBarbera, www.americansfortruth.org

Dear Americans For Truth Reader,

The liberals over at CNN are so committed to open homosexuality in the U.S. armed forces that they flew in a retired homosexual Brig. Gen. Keith Kerr to participate in their Republican presidential debate Wednesday — so he could critique the GOP candidates’ responses to HIS OWN loaded YouTube question opposing “Don’t’ Ask, Don’t Tell.”

Is it just me, but could you in your wildest imagination picture CNN recruiting Stephen Bennett, a pro-family, EX-“gay” Christian, to ask Democrat presidential candidates a question opposing homosexuality, and then flying him in to critique their responses?

If Kerr’s sneak attack wasn’t bad enough, CNN followed it up a second YouTube question from a homosexual activist — this time it was David Cercone, a Florida Log Cabin Republicans member who, it turns out, is backing [another democratic presidential contender].

Needless to say, no conservative questions on the homosexual issue were heard from the floor or YouTube at the debate.

Does CNN’s Anderson Cooper Have a Conflict of Interest on ‘Gay’ Issues?

November 30th, 2007

TAKE ACTION:  Write CNN News at www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5.html?92 and/or Anderson Cooper at http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5.html?10 to comment on their egregious pro-homosexual and anti-Republican bias and lack of professionalism in the CNN/Youtube presidential debate Wednesday.

cooper_anderson.jpg CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who moderated CNN’s scandal-ridden, pro-homosexual presidential debate Wednesday, was listed by the homosexual magazine OUT as one of the nation’s most influential homosexuals. Though Cooper is mum on his “sexual orientation,” his pro-“gay” bias is abundantly clear at CNN, as it was again at Wednesday’s debate. Would homosexual “outers” go after Cooper if he were less pro-homosexual in his reporting?

By Peter LaBarbera

Does Anderson Cooper, who moderated CNN’s woefully biased Republican presidential debate Wednesday — with its planted questions from pro-Democrat partisans, including two homosexual activists — have a conflict of interest when it comes to covering homosexual issues?

Cooper has been the target of periodic “gay” outing speculation but he remains mum on his “sexual orientation.” At CNN, Cooper’s pro-“gay’ sympathies are not hard to discern, as exemplified by his recent grilling of a pro-family spokesman on the question of same-sex parenting.

Homosexual “outing” activists like Mike Rogers target for public exposure alleged “closeted” homosexuals who publicly criticize or act against the homosexual political agenda — while leaving alone those who do not. This puts added pressure on the likes of Cooper to engage in pro-homosexual advocacy. (Ditto for alleged secret homosexual politicians like Rep. David Dreier (R-CA), who recently broke ranks with the GOP House majority by voting FOR the pro-homosexual ENDA bill.)

Rogers told me once that he doesn’t “out” legislators who toe the “gay” line politically. His strategy is illustrated by his note below on his own blog begging for alleged homosexual “outing” targets on Capitol Hill (most of Rogers’ victims have been Republicans):

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me — at tips@blogactive.com — the names of:

1. Democrat politicians who are GAY and IN FAVOR OF THE FEDERAL MARRIAGE AMENDMENT or MARRIAGE PROTECTION ACT.

2. Staffers of Democrats who are GAY and work for Democrats who FAVOR THE FEDERAL MARRIAGE AMENDMENT or MARRIAGE PROTECTION ACT.

Cooper is not a politician, but the same forces may be at work in his situation. “Outing” remains controversial among homosexuals, but note the word choice of this homosexual letter-writer who is complaining (anonymously) about an article by Michael Musto in the homosexual magazine OUT that labeled Cooper as “gay”: “There was nothing in the article that indicated Mr. Cooper is doing anything against our community that would require an outing.”

Require an outing? Translation: if Cooper were to do a hard-hitting piece against homosexual “marriage” or “gay parenting” — or perhaps if he were to start treating pro-family guests on his CNN “360” program with the same respect he accords pro-homosexual guests — then the “gay” outing machine could swing into action against him, without the polite playfulness characterizing questions about his “orientation” today.
