Denise Shick’s father told her he wanted to become a “woman” when she was just nine years old. Now she runs the Help 4 Families Ministry, which reaches out to families dealing with “transgender” issues. Shick will be speaking on a panel at the AFTAH Teach-in Sat., Oct. 21, following our dinner-banquet with ex-“gay” Stephen Black Oct. 20. Black also will give three presentations on Saturday.

I’ll never forget the first time I heard of warlords such as Uganda’s Joseph Kony turning little boys into killer soldiers and little girls into sex slaves. My heart ached at the thought. It still does. It seemed like a horrible war movie—but it was real, with real children as casualties.

War is always horrible, but in some sad cases it is necessary. But children should be—to the greatest degree possible—shielded from violent conflicts. They should never be forced to kill or do violence. Innocent, impressionable children are malleable. They can be sculpted into persons of deep character, guided by transcendent principles. Or they can be turned into weapons, as Joseph Kony and many other evil men have done.

Background

Stephen H. Black’s life is a microcosm of homosexuality and the “gay” cultural debate. Molested and bullied as a boy, he came to believe the lie that he was “gay.” Unsatisfied with his homosexual life as a man, he ultimately found salvation through Jesus Christ, walked away from homosexual sin, married a wonderful woman and had children (Stephen is a grandfather now, too). In recent years, Stephen was used by God to defend the truth about homosexuality as a board member of the largest Christian ex-gay umbrella group, Exodus International, which imploded after its leaders embraced apostasy.

Bigot. Prude. Hater. Judger. Busy-body. Holier than thou. Fundamentalist. Hypocrite. Intolerant. Rigid. Bible thumper. “Christo-fascist.” “American Taliban.” Homophobe. Transphobe. Repressed homosexual. I’ve been called them all, like so many who dare to challenge the present sin-tolerant zeitgeist and purveyors of politically correct myths and lies.

Truth is, even with all our flaws, we are none of those. For the most part, Truth-tellers on sexual issues are merely trying to defend God’s honor and His revelation (the Bible) in a world that has left Jesus and Truth behind.

We know that although people can choose to embrace sinful lifestyles, they do not get to change the biblical sin standard of right and wrong. That is way above our pay grade as mere fallen creations of a holy God.

Jesus, Sin and Christmas

December 24, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — Like most people, I love the sentimental, cultural side of Christmas — the colored miniature lights (I still don’t know how to fix it when half the string goes bad); the Christmas tree (must be real); the Santa-themed movies like “Elf” (a family favorite). All that.

But the true glory and joy of the Christmas season is that it celebrates the coming of “the way, the truth and the life” — the One who is our eternal Savior and Judge of mankind; who defeated sin, Satan and death; and who reigns with His Father in Heaven forever and ever. The resurrected Messiah, Christ Jesus.

A lot more compelling than Santa Claus.

‘Coming Out’ – Of Homosexuality – Ex-‘Gays’ and Former Lesbians Are Truly a Thing to Celebrate

Every LGBTQ-affirming “coming out” is a tragedy

There are so many LGBTQ activist celebration days that it’s getting difficult to keep track of them all. There is the “Day of Silence” (homosexual-bisexual-transgender activism in schools); National Day of Transgender Remembrance (November 20); IDAHOT (International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia), and World AIDS Day (December 1). The reliably-left Wikipedia has a list of them HERE.

Another such day is “National Coming Out Day” (NCOD), marked by pro-“gay” and pro-“transgender” advocates every October 11. Here is a history of NCOD as provided by the world’s largest LGBTQ lobby organization, Human Rights Campaign:

On Oct. 11, 1987, half a million people participated in the March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. It was the second such demonstration in our nation’s capital and resulted in the founding of a number of LGBTQ organizations, including the National Latino/a Gay & Lesbian Organization (LLEGÓ) and AT&T’s LGBTQ employee group, LEAGUE.  The momentum continued four months after this extraordinary march as more than 100 lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer activists from around the country gathered in Manassas, Va., about 25 miles outside Washington, D.C. Recognizing that the LGBTQ community often reacted defensively to anti-LGBTQ actions, they came up with the idea of a national day to celebrate coming out and chose the anniversary of that second march on Washington to mark it…. From this idea the National Coming Out Day was born.

Each year on Oct. 11, National Coming Out Day continues to promote a safe world for LGBTQ individuals to live truthfully and openly.

Every LGBTQ Coming Out is a tragedy

I have said for many years that every pro-homosexual “coming out” is a tragedy. It is not “coming out” of a dark “closet” representing fear, self-loathing and lies–as LGBTQ activists would have us believe (although we all should have deep sympathy for the traumatic life experiences of so many homosexuals–particularly those victimized as youth). Rather, it is a “coming in” TO darkness–as the public embrace of sin is always spiritual darkness. Even if people feel better after embracing sexually aberrant identities, it does not justify their choice to identify with and celebrate immorality and behaviors God abhors. And of course, when one identifies his or her life with a sexual perversion and a sin against God–he or she is not coming into the “truth” but is actually living a new, public lie.

“Fake” Culture Wars? Donald Trump gave homosexual (activist) Republican and PayPal founder Peter Thiel a prime-time slot to address the Republican convention–and he used it to belittle the “culture wars” and pro-family campaigns against “transgender rights,” i.e., laws allowing men wearing dresses to use female restrooms. AFTAH does not cower to political correctness: we tell the truth: that God makes no special dispensation for Republican homosexuality as opposed to the Democrat variety.

  • Donald Trump is already taking the Republican Party in a pro-homosexual direction
  • Trump as a life-long New Yorker has a history of supporting homosexual “rights”

  • Trump invited openly homosexual PayPal founder and “gay” activist Peter Thiel to give a prime time address at the GOP convention [watch video at bottom]
  • Thiel used the opportunity to deride the “Culture Wars” as “fake”; said he was “proud to be gay”; and he belittled pro-family efforts opposing “transgender rights” laws 
  • Fox News and other major media applauded Thiel and generally celebrated the “gay Republican” cause
  • Fox News’ Megyn Kelly brought on young homosexual Republican Guy Benson and a liberal Democrat–but no social conservative–to comment on Thiel’s address

  • A convention event put on by the American Unity Fund–a pro-LGBT Republican group–featuring Bruce (“Caitlyn”) Jenner and Montel Williams also received wide media attention in Cleveland
  • In contrast, dissident conservative voices–e.g., pro-life and pro-natural marriage voices–will likely receive little media attention at the left-leaning Democratic convention this week
  • Socialcons, Beware: Throughout the GOP primary campaign, some socially liberal and libertarian Republicans welcomed Trump’s rise because, to quote one writer, it “appears to have broken the stranglehold social conservatives have had on the party’s primary process”
  • The pro-LGBTQ appeal within the GOP is being marketed to and in part driven by millennial voters (ages 18-29)–who, polls show, favor “same-sex marriage” and are more accepting of homosexuality than older demographics
  • However, transcendent, biblical morality is timeless and is not determined by polls
  • Unlike many politically correct conservatives who walk on eggshells when discussing “gay Republicans” and the GOP’s perversion-enabling “Big Tent,” we at Americans For Truth embrace and boldly defend historic truth: homosexualism is immoral whether advanced by Democrats or Republicans, or by young people or older people.

  • Conservatives have long condemned “moral relativism,” but that is the essence of the new campaign by GOP moderates and social liberals to rationalize homosexualism and gender confusion in the name of freedom and conservatism
  • Openly homosexual Republicans and their “straight allies” may be conservative on a variety of issues, but on homosexual and transgender issues they usually echo liberal, LGBT talking points
  • If the GOP becomes a party espousing homosexual “marriage” and “LGBT rights”–i.e., a “Democrat-Lite” party on moral and social issues–it will cease to be truly conservative and pro-family. It will dishonor God, and become an agent of destructive change in America

Dear AFTAH Readers,

Like Gov. Mike Pence, the Indiana governor and Donald Trump’s choice for his vice-presidential running mate, for the last 30-odd years since I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior, I have considered myself a Christian first, a conservative second and a Republican third—“in that order,” as Pence says.

I became interested in the “gay” (homosexual) revolution in America about 25 years ago. It has been fascinating to watch the interplay of homosexualism, Republicanism, media and Christianity in politics and culture even since. The treatment of homosexualism—which I define as essentially the celebration of homosexuality as a “civil right” and a proud, personal identity—is one indicator of the spiritual and moral health of a society.

As sober and biblically-minded Christians know, the news is not good in America. Like much of the West, we have a spiritual sickness—moral relativism, rooted in disrespect for God and his Laws. We love our sin and the tolerance thereof more than we love God and love Truth (capital “T,” what used to be called absolute truth).

Now that spiritual sickness has infected the Republican Party and “conservative” media, and the result can only be the further deterioration of the patient—because true “goodness” is rooted in God alone and His holy Word–not man’s fickle, transitory and self-rationalizing ideas.  — @Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH

VIDEO: Anne Paulk Interviews Frank Worthen, Dean of Ex-‘Gays’ – at Restored Hope Network Conference

There are lots of hidden gems in the pro-family movement because we don’t have the media helping us get the word out. Frank Worthen, the dean of the “ex-gay” movement, is one of them. This interview occurred at the 2015 conference of the Restored Hope Network, the ex-“gay” umbrella group that replaces Exodus International (which imploded through failed, unbiblical leadership). RHN Executive Director Anne Paulk conducts this interview, which is also posted on her YouTube channel.

Frank was “in” the homosexual lifestyle for 25 years and he’s been “out” of homosexuality and married for decades. Think about that. How many times have you heard the lie that people cannot overcome the pull of homosexuality? That being “gay” is “who they are”? That people are “born gay,” etc.? Also, note how a religious man whom Frank respected sought to confirm him as a homosexual. How evil is that? Please share this interview with your network of friends–especially young people swimming in cultural myths and falsehoods about disordered sexuality.

Come to think of it, Anne Paulk, who herself came out of lesbianism and who is doing terrific work running RHN, is another one of those gems. Folks, we all know that when “progressives” and LGBT activists talk about “inclusion” and “diversity,” that usually means excluding  people like Darren Foster, who successfully abandoned the homosexual lifestyle (or “deathstyle,” as he calls it). The Word of God never talks about homosexuality in terms of it being an “orientation,” but rather sinful behavior. Thankfully, Darren was able to overcome the pull of that sin through Christ. Coming Out of Sodom, Part 1

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind…And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9, 11 KJV)

God blessed me this past November 29th, 2015, with the opportunity to stand up before my church family in order to share my testimony, as well as my love for 1 Corinthians 6: 9,11, the ticket to Heaven for anyone who repents of habitual sin and embraces Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour. As part of my on-going testimony, as an unfinished work of God, I now share with the reader how I came out of the sodomite lifestyle the last Saturday in May of 2013. I was saved from what I call the sad deathstyle (falsely named as the “gay lifestyle” by it’s advocates) only after welcoming Jesus Christ into my life, on His terms, according to the full counsel of God in His Word, the Bible.

And as I said on that Sunday evening in November of 2015, I want to give all the praise and glory to God Almighty Himself, for it was only by His patient mercy and grace, an answer to much prayer, that I was saved from a life of depravity, hedonism, debauchery, and, most likely, an early death.

As I look back on life, now at age 49, I know it to be a fact that without God, I would not be here today amongst the living, due to the deathstyle that I embraced for so many years. As a nurse, in my professional life, I know that it is well known amongst the medical community that the incidences of depression, alcohol and drug addiction, domestic violence, suicide, as well as a paragraph-long list of diseases becomes a big part of life for men who choose to have sex with other men.

I, myself, over the years have had my own health challenges to deal with, due in large part to my past “recreational” behavior. It is only by God’s providence that I was spared HIV/AIDS or some other terminal illness. “While anyone who has sex can get an STD, sexually active gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM) are at greater risk. In addition to having higher rates of syphilis, more than half of all new HIV infections occur among MSM.”

I also refer the reader to LifeSiteNews where it is revealed in a 2005 report that actively homosexual men, on average, have 20 years less in their lifespan when compared with men who do not “hook up” with other men.
