Southern Baptists Should Impeach Russell Moore – Prof. Robert Gagnon

Sunday, January 17th, 2021

By Prof. Robert Gagnon

This article is reprinted from Gagnon’s Facebook page, Jan. 11, 2021.

Russell Moore is president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Commission.

I say: Impeach Russell Moore for dereliction of duty. Russell Moore has written a pathetic article. “The Roman Road from Insurrection,” calling for Trump’s removal from office by impeachment or application of the 25th Amendment if he does not resign. This call from Moore is hardly surprising because it exhibits the same “Never-Trump” tunnel vision, hatred, and dearth of documentation that we have come to expect from him in politics.

The article is short on facts and long on bluster. His whole argument is predicated on the claim that Trump incited violence and insurrection, which he clearly did not. There is no reasonable way to conclude that Trump incited a riot if one gave a careful read of the entire transcript of Trump’s speech.

Even what happened by the wrongdoers in the Capitol doesn’t remotely approach the 30+ dead and $2 billion worth of damage in the seven-month-long race riots involving much larger numbers this past year, stoked and incited by Democrats, during which time Moore did not call for a single Democrat to be removed from office. While he judges the race riots by the best in the movement he judges Trump supporters by the tiniest and most extreme elements.

Trump has legitimate grounds for believing that the election was stolen. Nowhere was there any attempt to do signature matches in areas where there were unbelievable high voting rates, areas where there were no safeguards for insuring that significant fraud did not occur.

The real threat to the Republic and to its Constitution is coming from the Democrat Party but Moore is too blind, for whatever reason, to see it. He has done his best to insure that the Party that poses the greatest threat to religious liberty by far would get elected.

That’s why he shouldn’t be President of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. Impeach Russell Moore.

Bauer Slams Anti-Trumper Mitt Romney – Contrada Book Exposes His Pro-LGBT Record

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019

Amy Contrada’s book “Mitt Romney’s Deception” exposes his long history of pro LGBT advocacy.

Social conservative Gary Bauer of American Values is more restrained than most conservative Republicans in his takedown of the opportunistic Mitt Romney, who took to the Trump-hating Washington Post on New Year’s Day to bash the President (see Bauer’s classy response below).

The craven now-Senator Romney becomes one of the biggest phony “conservatives” in a town full of phonies and hypocrites (on both the Left and Right).

My friend and pro-family writer Amy Contrada of MassResistance long ago exposed Romney’s very un-Mormon-like pro-homosexual record during his last, failed run for President. It’s a lot to read, but I highly recommend her book, Mitt Romney’s Deception: His Stealth Promotion of “Gay Rights” and “Gay Marriage” in Massachusetts, available on Amazon HERE. Or, you can buy two shorter e-books containing some of the same material:

Maybe if more Republicans paid a heavy price for selling out conservative, pro-family values like preserving natural marriage, the Party might pose an actual threat to Big LGBTQueer. — Peter LaBarbera, Americans For Truth; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera

Mitt’s Message

By Gary Bauer, January 2, 2019

The past two years have witnessed some of the most brutal political battles in modern American history. Leftists refused to accept the 2016 election results. They disrupted the inauguration. And the Deep State has been attempting to undermine the Trump presidency every day since he was elected.

Trump’s UN Ambassador Nominee Heather Nauert Celebrated GLAAD Homosexual Activist ‘Spirit Day,” Gay Newspaper Reports

Tuesday, January 1st, 2019

Heather Nauert, President Trump’s nominee for U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.

Folks, the following is an excerpt from a 2017 story in the Washington Blade, a newspaper for homosexuals, bisexuals and transgenders in the nation’s capital, regarding then-State Department spokesman and current Trump nominee for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Heather Nauert.

Pro-LGBTQ activism and advocacy was a fixture of the Obama years, and social conservatives hoped it would stop under President Trump. Yet it persists, usually through official recognition of special LGBTQ activist “days” like this. Surely there are deep divisions within Trump’s foreign policy team, which by definition includes many Obama holdovers, on whether and how strongly the United States should engage in pro-homosexual/-bisexual/-transgender advocacy of this sort.

When I first heard of Nauert’s nomination, all I could think of was how bizarre it is that Nauert, just years from being a Fox News persona, would likely hold the same position as the esteemed Jeane Kirkpatrick, Reagan’s steely UN ambassador, who played a pivotal role in facing down Soviet aggression and ultimately the fall of Soviet communism. Try as I might, I cannot imagine Kirkpatrick donning purple and hawking a pro-homosexual “Spirit Day.” Let’s just leave it at that. (The event is organized by the anti-Christian LGBTQ leftist group GLAAD.)

If Nauert becomes one of the world’s most prominent international “gay/trans rights” advocates, it would be a significant betrayal of Trump’s electoral mandate and a great victory for the powerful leftist social forces pushing American-style immorality on the world. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH.org; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera

From the  Washington Blade (Oct. 19, 2017:

State Department Spokesman Acknowledges Spirit Day

State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert on [Oct. 19, 2017] acknowledged a campaign that seeks to combat bullying.

Nauert at the beginning of a press briefing told reporters that “today, along with many of my colleagues here at the State Department, including members of the LGBTI community, in association with GLIFAA (a group that represents LGBT and intersex Foreign Service members), we are — many of us are wearing purple today to celebrate Spirit Day.”

“On Spirit Day, we speak out against bullying of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and intersex persons and stand with LGBTI youth who disproportionally face bullying and harassment because of their identities,” she said.

Nauert — who was wearing purple — said LGBT and intersex people around the world “face increasing physical attacks, arbitrary arrests just because of who they are or who they love.”

VIDEO: Kincaid Interviews LaBarbera on ‘Disastrous’ Midterms – LGBTQ ‘Rainbow Wave’ Ushers in Scores of Homosexual, Transgender Lawmakers

Wednesday, November 14th, 2018

Supposedly “moderate” open bisexual Democrat Kyrsten Sinema joins re-elected Wisconsin lesbian Tammy Baldwin in Senate

Folks, here is an interview I did with my friend and America’s Survival Inc. founder and CEO Cliff Kincaid. Social conservatives can never move forward and gain ground unless we are first honest about where we stand in the political and cultural universe. And, as Cliff points out, we are hurting. President Trump proclaimed the midterm elections a victory, but in many respects they were a disaster–especially for social conservatives who oppose the anti-Christian, anti-liberty agenda of Big LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer).

I appreciate how Cliff is fearless and does not slavishly echo the Republican Party line, or in this case the Fox News line [see his piece on the election HERE]. More sober analysts like Cliff and City Journal are describing the huge loses in once-safe-Republican suburbs where pro-LGBTQ, pro-abortion Democrats made big gains. (One is my own county, DuPage, west of Chicago, where Rep. Peter Roskam lost to social leftist Sean Casten.) And one reason for that is many “conservative” Republicans are no longer fighting for truth on these socials issues as they once did, or at least they are allowing the Democrats and the Left to put them on the defensive on moral issues.

The case of Arizona’s Senate seat–won by open “bisexual” Democrat Kyrsten Sinema–is illustrative of the Republicans’ Culture War defeatism. Start listening at 4:45 below. I just heard Fox News anchor Bret Baier yesterday refer to now-Senator-elect Sinema as a “moderate.” Really? A bisexual, irreligious Democrat endorsed by Planned Parenthood and championed by the Human Wrongs Rights Campaign (HRC)–the world’s most powerful homosexual-bisexual-transgender-“queer” lobby organization–a “moderate”? What is going on here?

We need to face some hard facts: read this New York Times piece on the midterms’ “Rainbow Wave”; and this celebratory press release by HRC, which reportedly spent $26 million to influence six battleground state races; and see the Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute crowing about how many openly LGBTQ candidates won on Nov. 6. And then there’s the 2-1 landslide defeat of pro-family forces trying to turn back the “transgender” tide in Massachusetts; see our friend Brian Camenker’s and MassResistance’s analysis of that debacle HERE. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera

Staver Commends Trump Memo on Qualified Military Transgender Ban

Tuesday, March 27th, 2018

Media: All Trans, All the Time: The dominant secular media have pushed the “transgender” agenda relentlessly in recent years, as illustrated by this 2014 TIME magazine story celebrating the alleged cultural “Transgender Tipping Point.” Pictured on the cover is biological male and “Orange Is the New Black” star Laverne Cox, who claims to be a woman and who crusades for “trans rights.” Click to enlarge.

The following news release was sent out by the pro-family legal group Liberty Counsel March 26, 2018:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump issued a new memorandum last Friday disqualifying “transgender” individuals from serving in the military, stating that the Defense secretary and the Homeland Security secretary should “exercise their authority to implement any appropriate policies concerning military service by transgender individuals.”

The memorandum said individuals with a history of gender dysphoria, defined as “those who may require substantial medical treatment, including through medical drugs or surgery,” are disqualified from military service “except under certain limited circumstances.” Those who are currently in the United States military may remain in the ranks, but the Pentagon could require them to serve according to their gender at birth.

In a memo to the president, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis cited “substantial risks” about military personnel who seek to change or who question their gender identity. He found that individuals with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria presented a risk to military effectiveness and “could undermine readiness, disrupt unit cohesion, and impose an unreasonable burden on the military that is not conducive to military effectiveness and lethality.” This new policy will enable the military to apply well-established mental and physical health standards—including those regarding the use of medical drugs—equally to all individuals who want to join and fight for the best military force the world has ever seen.

Mattis suggested three exceptions:

  1. If a person diagnosed with gender dysphoria can demonstrate a period of at least 36 months where they no longer suffer from the psychological condition;
  2. Those diagnosed with gender dysphoria who do not seek to “transition” (receive hormone drugs and undergo plastic and other surgery), and are deployable, may also serve; and
  3. Those who have already been serving prior to the effective date of the new policy will not be discharged.

Two U.S. district courts, one in the District of Columbia and one in Maryland, previously blocked enforcement of President Trump’s proposed August 2017 ban on “transgender” persons in the armed services. According to the Defense Department, those courts required the branches to begin allowing such recruits to sign up for military service. A third order by a U.S. District judge also allowed the state to challenge the ban, stating that Washington has an interest in protecting its residents from discrimination.

Alliance Defending Freedom Criticizes Trump’s Religious Liberty Executive Order

Sunday, May 7th, 2017

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) released the following statement Thursday, attributed to Senior Counsel Gregory S. Baylor, regarding a summary the White House released late Wednesday about an executive order on religious liberty issued by President Trump on the National Day of Prayer, May 4:

“During his campaign, President Trump stated that the first priority of his administration would be to preserve and protect religious liberty. In speeches, he said the Little Sisters of the Poor and other people of faith will always have their religious liberty protected on his watch and will not have to face bullying from the government because of their religious beliefs. Religious voters took him at his word, giving the president a mandate to affirm and protect Americans’ first freedom.

“The current outline of the Religious Liberty Executive Order released by White House officials recalls those campaign promises but leaves them unfulfilled.

“First, no specific relief is offered to families like the Vander Boons in Michigan, who were threatened with the effective closure of their family-run business for simply expressing a religious point of view on marriage that differed from that of the federal government.

White House Easter Egg Roll Under Trump Lacks Obama’s LGBTQ Activism

Monday, April 17th, 2017

Easter_Egg_Roll_LGBTQ_White_House

Under Obama, homosexual activist groups like Equality Florida used the White House Easter Egg Roll to promote homosexuality-based “marriage.”

By Peter LaBarbera

Most people think of the annual White House Easter Egg Roll as a special event for children, but under the Obama presidency, it took on a dual, political purpose as another excuse to promote sexually aberrant “LGBT” lifestyles and “gay parenting.”

That is apparently not happening this year at the Easter Egg Roll under President Trump, and some LGBTQ activists are hoping that’s only because the Trump administration is just getting started. The Egg Roll will be held today (Easter Monday) on the White House lawn, and is expected to draw 20,000 people, according to the New York Times, in an article about how behind the Trump team is in pulling it together.

The Washington Blade, a D.C. newspaper for homosexuals, reported April 12 that, “Because of the event’s emphasis on family, the [White House] Easter Egg Roll in years past has served as a vehicle to promote LGBT families and their children at times when relationship recognition was threatened by efforts to ban same-sex marriage or progressing as litigation seeking marriage equality proceeded through the courts.”

Trump Keeps Obama’s International LGBT Envoy Randy Berry – Promoting Homosexuality and Gender Confusion Abroad

Wednesday, February 15th, 2017

Third major pro-homosexual action by Trump

Randy_Berry

Randy Berry

By Peter LaBarbera

President Trump is keeping in place a special international LGBT “envoy” established by Obama who is charged with promoting the acceptance of homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism abroad in the name of U.S. foreign policy.

The reinstatement of Randy Berry as Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTI Persons is another defeat for pro-family advocates who were counting on Trump to remove homosexual activists from the foreign affairs bureaucracy.

Berry is a career foreign service officer who speaks Spanish and Arabic. He was given the “LGBT Envoy” position of  in 2015, to the applause of LGBT activists. Berry is also a homosexual and “gay” activist himself dedicated to seeing other nations adopt an immoral, modern Western legal system that grants “rights,” including marriage, based homosexuality and gender deviance.

Strike Three

This is Strike Three for Trump in terms of major pro-homosexual actions after his election:

  1. He said in an interview as President-elect that SCOTUS’ homosexual “marriage” ruling, Obergefell, is “settled” law (it’s not, any more than Roe v. Wade is, or the pro-sodomy-law Bowers v. Hardwick decision was);
  2. He reinstated Obama’s 2014 pro-LGBT executive order for federal contractors, which forces homosexualism on private businesses and ministries; and
  3. He now continues Obama’s pro-LGBTQ foreign policy promoting unnatural behaviors and sexual sin as “human rights.”

On the plus side, Trump has discontinued Obama’s policy of pushing transgender bathroom and locker room “rights” in public schools (allowing gender-confused boys in girls’ private spaces). And he nominated a conservative judge, Neil Gorsuch, to the U.S. Supreme Court, although we have no idea how Gorsuch would rule on LGBTQ issues, assuming he gets in.
