“Family Pride” Encourages Homosexual Parents to Be Activists at School

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

Excerpted from Gay Parents Encouraged to Be Activists at School, published Sept 18, 2006, by Citizen Link:

Gay-activist group Family Pride has produced a pamphlet to guide homosexual parents in introducing themselves to their children’s schools.

Building Family Equality in the Classroom” suggests parents attend the first PTA meeting together and introduce themselves as a couple.

california-family-council.jpg Barbara McPherson, legislative affairs coordinator for the California Family Council, told Family News in Focus such activism doesn’t belong in school.

“It’s a crossing of the line almost between information that helps people understand tolerance within their community versus an indoctrination,” she said, “trying to get other people’s children to think that same-sex partners are normal.”

Dutch Children’s Video Has Boy Singing about his “Two Real Fathers”

Monday, September 18th, 2006

If you think we have it bad with aggressive homosexual activism here in the USA (and we do, especially if you live near a big city), then thank God you don’t live in The Netherlands. You won’t believe this Dutch video (with English subtitles) that you can access by clicking the link below. In this video–which appears to be a Dutch equivalent of a staged “Barney” concert (for very young children)–a pre-adolescent boy, Terence, sings earnestly: “I have two fathers, two real fathers.” Hundreds of children in the studio audience sing along with their parents.

Of course, “gay” advocates think this video is wonderful and wish Americans were as “progressive” as the Dutch–illustrating the huge philosophical gap between pro-family advocates and their pro-homosexual foes. Remember, this is the “family” brand of homosexual activism … the “conservative,” domesticated side of their movement. And it necessarily requires indoctrinating the minds of impressionable children that having “two fathers” or “two mothers” is a good thing. In one of the song’s lines, Terence says of his “two fathers”: “Who, if they have to, both can be my mother.” Talk about redefining the family!

The “diversity” movement couldn’t be more wrong: “two daddies” can never replace a mom in a child’s life, and it is utterly selfish of homosexual adults to intentionally put children in this position–and to subject other children to propaganda like this.

Today, the Netherlands. Tomorrow, the USA? God help us.– Peter LaBarbera

How Britain is Turning Christianity into a Crime

Tuesday, September 12th, 2006

Excerpted from How Britain is Turning Christianity into a Crime, by Melanie Phillips, published Sept 7, 2006, in The Daily Mail (UK):

The problem for Christianity is that it holds that homosexuality is wrong. This, however, it is no longer allowed to say because it treats a minority practice as sinful. So it can no longer uphold a central tenet of its own faith without being accused of prejudice.

…Author Lynette Burrows received a warning from the Metropolitan Police merely for suggesting that gay people did not make ideal adoptive parents. The former leader of the Muslim Council of Britain, Sir Iqbal Sacranie, also had his collar felt by police after he said that homosexuality was harmful.Notably, in his case the matter was swiftly dropped. If there’s one thing that terrifies our PC police even more than being called homophobic, it’s being called Islamophobic — even though Islamic fundamentalism poses a real threat to the human rights of gay people.

If this wasn’t all so frightening, it would be hilarious.

Christians, by contrast, get very different treatment. An elderly evangelical preacher, Harry Hammond, was convicted of a public order offence after he held up a poster calling for an end to homosexuality, lesbianism and immorality. Although he had been the victim of a physical attack when a crowd poured soil and water over him, he alone was prosecuted.

And Lancashire pensioners Joe and Helen Roberts were interrogated by police for 80 minutes about their ‘ homophobic’ views after they had merely asked their local council to display Christian literature alongside gay rights leaflets in civic buildings.

Christianity is fast becoming the creed that dare not speak its name…

The ‘diversity’ agenda, in other words, is a fig-leaf for an attack on Christianity…

This attack on Christianity…is not merely a threat to freedom of speech and religious expression. It is a fundamental onslaught on the national identity and bedrock values of this country — and as such will destroy those freedoms which Christianity itself first created.

How Many Parents Can One Child Have?

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

Excerpted from Ontario Well on Way to Declaring More than Two Legal Parents for Children, by Hilary White, published Aug 31, 2006, by LifeSite News:

Once again the needs of children in Canada are being placed a distant second to the personal wants of Canadian gay activists. In response, the Alliance for Marriage and Family, a coalition of groups fighting the legislative and judicial attacks on the traditional family, has filed a brief in Ontario’s Court of Appeals in what is being called the ‘three parents case.’

The case involves two women in a lesbian relationship and a man who donated his sperm to create a child for them on the condition that he could have a part of the child’s life. The man in the case is married to another women and has other children. After the child was born, his mother’s lesbian partner demanded to be listed legally as his “second” mother in addition to his biological parents.

The case was rejected by a lower court that ruled Ontario’s family law recognized only two possible parents for each child, whether biologically or by adoption and so the court had no authority to make the declaration.

The woman appealed, claiming a special situation because she was in a same-sex relationship and such couples require assisted human reproduction.

Dr. Mike Adams: Why Homosexuals Should Not Adopt or Teach Children

Sunday, August 27th, 2006

Excerpted from Why Homosexuals Should Not Adopt or Teach Children,by Mike Adams, published Aug 24, 2006, on Townhall.com:

mike-adams.jpgSeveral years ago, I began writing columns questioning the so-called gay rights movement. I prefer to call it the “gay privileges” movement because gays are not presently deprived of anything that is rightfully theirs. A gay man has the same right I have to marry a woman. His waiver of that actual right does not allow him to substitute another “right” he deems more suitable to his needs.

At the time I decided to express such criticism of the gay agenda, I was not fully opposed to gay adoption. Nor was I absolutely opposed to hiring gay grammar school teachers. My criticism of the gay agenda was narrower than it is today and the tone of my criticism was far more subdued. That all changed when the homosexual rights crowd started to circulate some of my early columns.

Frequently, the criticism would come en masse from gay groups who would post my columns on PRIDE websites or chat rooms at universities like UNC-Greensboro, which is also known as UNC-Gonorrhea. They would work themselves into a fury over my well-reasoned essays and then respond with a flurry of obscenities unfit for reproduction in this column.

Before long, readers identifying themselves as “gay” were threatening to cut off my genitalia, burn my children, rape my wife, and, just to top it all off, kill me, too. Good thing these readers were all “gay.” Otherwise, they might not be so happy.

So, of course, I took the time to survey a number of other conservative columnists to find out where most of their profane and threatening hate mail comes from. The answer is always the same: Without hesitation, they all say it comes from the “gay” community.

…One of their more recent stunts was to get together on a gay website to hatch a plan to destroy my marriage. Actually, they started their plan on one of the Transgendered websites. Since the Transgendered people are so angry, I suppose they are technically classified as “gay,” too.

The first step of their plan to destroy my marriage was to concoct a false story that I once committed adultery. For the record, I have never cheated on my wife. I did, however, attempt to cheat on my wife one time. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past Ms. Coulter’s bodyguard.

SF Catholic Adoption Agency Allies with Pro-GLBT “Family Builders”

Sunday, August 27th, 2006

Excerpted from Catholic Agency Finds Way Out of Adoption Ban, by Elizabeth Fernandez, published Aug 27, 2006, in The San Francisco Chronicle:

…Next month, the collaboration formally begins between Catholic Charities CYO and California Kids Connection, a statewide adoption exchange run by the Oakland-based nonprofit Family Builders by Adoption. The two agencies will work in conjunction with the state Department of Social Services, which oversees about 82,000 foster children.

“Many, many more children will now find permanent homes,” said Jill Jacobs, executive director of Family Builders. “When Catholic Charities first approached us, I was very hesitant. My organization has a long history of serving the gay, lesbian and transgender community. It was really ironic — I had to make sure that our integrity and values were not compromised.”

San Francisco Catholic Adoption Staff to Work With Gay Friendly Agency

Friday, August 25th, 2006

Excerpted from San Francisco Catholic Adoption Staff to Work With Gay Friendly Agency, by Hilary White, published Aug 8, 2006, by LifeSite News:

The Boston Globe reports that five months after Boston Catholic Charities removed itself from adoption services after pressure from homosexual activists, San Francisco Catholic Charities has found a compromise in handling cases of adoption of children to homosexual partners. In March this year, San Francisco Catholic Charities announced that it would be “reviewing” its procedures in regards to adoption to homosexuals in light of the shut-down of the Boston agency’s 103 year-old adoption work.

Brian Cahill, the head of the diocesan-funded Charities, told the Globe that three staff members will be working with a non-profit adoption agency, California Kids Connection, that has no moral qualms about placing children in homosexual households.

San Francisco Catholic Charities announced on August 2, that the compromise had been provisionally approved by San Francisco’s Archbishop Niederauer.

The Catholic Charities of San Francisco has long been criticized by faithful Catholics for its eagerness to cooperate with the homosexual movement. It was revealed in March of this year that the director of programs and services of San Francisco’s Catholic Charities is an openly gay man who adopted a daughter four years ago with his homosexual partner.

Glen Metola admitted that his homosexuality and his status as an adoptive father were well known at the agency.
