Social media giant rejects appeal; with tweet deleted, account is now active

UPDATE: LaBarbera Loses Appeal: Early this morning (Oct. 19, 2018), Twitter rejected Peter LaBarbera’s appeal regarding what it alleged was an “abusive” and “hateful” 2016 tweet. The tweet called sodomy a “sin” that “spreads disease” and urged a homosexual activist to abstain from it for life. [See LaBarbera’s appeal-letter HERE in LifeSiteNews–which was similarly “locked out” by Twitter for a 2014 tweet pertaining to homosexual health risks; the next day, Twitter reversed itself following a petition campaign by LSN.]

With his appeal denied, LaBarbera deleted the tweet in question from his Twitter feed, and was reinstated by Twitter. See his now-active Twitter page HERE. –AFTAH

Is disagreeing on Twitter “hate”? The above is the “lockout” notice received by AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera Monday, highlighting a 2016 tweet it says was in violation of Twitter’s “rules against hateful conduct.” Jay Franzone is a homosexual activist who abstained from sex for one year so that he could give blood, according to the FDA gay-blood-donation policy revised in 2015. LaBarbera has appealed the decision by Twitter and he cannot access his Twitter account — @PeterLaBarbera — which remains locked out. Read his appeal letter HERE.

Yet that’s what happened June 17 when I received the following email note (see graphic at right) from Nate Collins, founder of “Revoice,” a new movement that seeks to reconcile the recognition of LGBT “identities” with faithful Christianity:

Revoice defines celibate LGBT-identified Christians as a “sexual minority” (more on that later). Its mission for the debut July 26-28 conference is: “Supporting, encouraging, and empowering gay, lesbian, same-sex-attracted, and other LGBT Christians so they can flourish while observing the historic, Christian doctrine of marriage and sexuality.”

I emailed the following email letter June 18 responding to Collins. At presstime (June 23), I had received no response back, despite Collins’ statement that he would be “happy to answer any further questions you might have.”

Dear Dr. Collins (is it OK if I call you Nate?),

I am troubled by your decision, although it is not unexpected. Though of course I am on the more “orthodox” (conservative) side of things surrounding this debate, I was deeply interested and intellectually curious about your conference, and was looking forward to attending. I had no plans to disrupt it in any way but wanted to learn more. I think banning a smattering of “dissenting” voices (on the Right) at the outset is a bad idea, hurts your credibility among Christians and the wider public, and encourages the suspicion among critics that yours is an ideological (“pro-gay”), rather than a spiritually faithful, endeavor. So I hope you reconsider, and I would like to keep the lines of communication open. You can call me at [312-324-3787].

For the record, if yours was billed as an explicitly “gay activist” or “gay advocacy” event, I could better understand your expelling conservative critics (it has happened to me at various LGBT events), but that is not how you define Revoice. You say it is a “Christian” enterprise, yet you are keeping Christians who defend age-old biblical teaching against homosexuality out, which seems problematic.

Along those lines, I do have some questions regarding access to Revoice:

1) Will you allow LGBTQ activists to attend Revoice who do NOT share your belief against acting out homosexually (e.g., religious activists with groups like Human Rights Campaign)? Have any registered to attend?

Peter LaBarbera, founder and president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH.org), issued the following statement today on joining the Boston-based pro-family organization MassResistance (MR) as assistant director. AFTAH, based in Chicago, will continue to exist as an independent organization producing no-holds-barred exposés on the homosexual-bisexual-transgender agenda. Statement by LaBarbera:

I am thrilled to be joining the MassResistance team with Brian Camenker and Amy Contrada. MR is the leading national grassroots organization opposing the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) movement.

I have worked with Brian, Amy and the MR staff for more than two decades and my admiration for them has steadily grown over the years. In a world darkened by suffocating political correctness, they stand out as principled truth-tellers, supremely dedicated to fighting the lies of the powerful “gay” and “trans” lobbies. Moreover, like the fanatical LGBTQ activists they oppose, they will never quit.

Camenker understands that merely exposing LGBTQ cultural aggression is not enough: we must build and organize a worldwide resistance to this sin/deviance movement before it engulfs America and other nations with its perverse ideology–which corrupts everything it touches, including marriage and Christianity. He also understands that the endless defensiveness of conservatives on LGBTQ issues inevitably leads to further defeats.

Contrada is a first-rate researcher who, leading up to the presidential election of 2012, had the guts to expose then-GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s long record of capitulation to homosexual activists. See her book “Mitt Romney’s Deception.” Like AFTAH, MassResistance never caters to the “Republican gay agenda.”

In 2017, MassResistance published a 600-page book on the “Health Hazards of Homosexuality” – meticulously loaded with research and CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) reports laying out the massive, disproportionate health risks linked to sodomy and other LGBTQ behaviors. “Gay” activists immediately lambasted the book as “hateful” without reading its contents.

Camenker and MR operate from the truthful presumption that the powerful, proud LGBTQ activist movement is evil. For decades, “gay” ideologues have aggressively targeted young people—even toddlers and elementary school students—with their nefarious propaganda promoting homosexuality and gender rebellion as “normal and natural.”

He also understands that the other side never backs down—so why should we? Homosexual activists and their liberal enablers routinely mock and vilify anyone who publicly opposes homosexualism and transgenderism. Worse, they push for oppressive laws that trample over citizens’ constitutional rights to pursue wholesome, pro-heterosexual change and freely live out their beliefs about natural marriage and sensible, Judeo-Christian morality.

The sad reality is that Christians and other conservative moral advocates have been outhustled, outmaneuvered and outlasted time and again by the “Gay” Lobby—whether it’s in the courts, in corporations or in schools. That must end if we are to preserve not only our liberty in the freest nation on earth, but the innocence and well-being of future generations of children.

‘Gay-Trans’ Activists In, Social Conservatives Fighting LGBTQ Agenda Out: Log Cabin Republican activists man Exhibitor’s table at CPAC conference. Folks, here is a video interview I did with my friend Cliff Kincaid Friday at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) on CPAC’s curious “ban” of MassResistance as a paid Exhibitor, and their apparent rejection by non-action of AFTAH’s $2,000 Exhibitor application.

Cliff, the founder and president of America’s Survival, Inc. (ASI), had his press credentials denied by CPAC after he did an interview with MassResistance president Brian Camenker, which is the second video below. Kincaid has criticized CPAC in the past over taking non-conservative actions, so that also probably contributed to his ouster.

As you can see, Cliff interviewed me directly in front of CPAC’s Exhibitor’s table for Log Cabin Republicans, a homosexual activist group that pushes for acceptance of LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) issues within the GOP. Just a few years ago, allowing homosexual “conservative” groups to sponsor at CPAC was widely criticized in the larger conservative movement; now the organization is banishing single-issue opponents of LGBTQ activism.

The president of Log Cabin, Gregory Angelo, told me that neither he nor LCR had anything to do with MassResistance being disinvited by CPAC. So who got to American Conservative Union (ACU) Executive Director Dan Schneider, who called up Camenker to “fire” MassResistance as a sponsor? Who knows, but this whole mess smacks of Washington elitism and we at AFTAH will not sit idly by as self-perceived leaders on the Right throw grassroots pro-family heroes like Brian under the bus while redefining conservatism (and Christianity) to accommodate sexual perversion. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH.org; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera

AFTAH: Is CPAC ‘Conservative’ When It Bans Anti-Gay Agenda Exhibitors While Welcoming LGBTQ Activists?

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH.org), issued the following statement about the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC)’s decision to disinvite the pro-family group MassResistance as an Exhibitor sponsor. CPAC (Feb. 21-24) welcomed the LGBTQ activist Log Cabin Republicans as Exhibitors, but AFTAH received no response from CPAC when it applied and paid $2,000 to be an Exhibitor after MR was disinvited:

CPAC’s capricious action against MassResistance and its president, Brian Camenker, is an unconscionable sellout of real, principled conservative values. CPAC has it backwards: it is the homosexual-transgender activist group Log Cabin Republicans that doesn’t belong at a conservative conference–not an organization fighting the fanatical, anti-Christian LGBTQ lobby.

The Log Cabin Republicans’ morally subversive agenda is to push for the acceptance of proud homosexuality and “gay marriage” within the Republican Party, and “rights” based on disordered yet changeable sexual behaviors and an ever-expanding array of “gender identities.” This defies God’s creation and is not conservative.

MassResistance is the world’s leading grassroots organization standing up to the homosexual-bisexual-transgender movement. Its dedicated followers expose efforts to “mainstream” deviant sex-and-gender confusion in schools and work to protect—i.e., conserve—the age-old institution of marriage as God ordained it. This is the essence of noble conservatism.

After opening up the door to sexual immorality (with an “R” next to it), CPAC then went a step further by banning this heroic pro-family group, using as its pretext something Camenker said in a speech three years ago. Keep in mind that CPAC invited profane Milo Yiannopoulos, a self-described “Dangerous Faggot,” to speak last year and also has welcomed atheists as Exhibitors.

CPAC has squandered its moral authority by pandering to political correctness. It is teaching young conservatives all the wrong lessons about fairness and right versus wrong. CPAC’s leaders owe an apology not just to Camenker and MassResistance but to principled, Reagan social conservatives everywhere.

AFTAH president says Fox News pundit Benson is among most “dangerous” “gay” activists because he’s undermining biblical truth and principled conservatism

Young, Winsome…and Wrong: Fox News contributor and Townhall.com political editor Guy Benson claims to be a “gay Christian”–despite the Bible’s clear prohibition of homosexual acts and a New Testament passage citing former homosexuals who overcame this sin through Christ (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Listen to interview, in which Benson trivializes his embrace of immorality as a mere “footnote,” below. Folks, here is my Jan. 25, 2018 interview on “Janet Mefferd Today,” in which Christian talker Janet Mefferd and I critique a new “Prager U” video by homosexual conservative and Fox News contributor and self-declared “gay Christian,” Guy Benson. Start listening at 24:30.

Benson, who is the political editor at Townhall.com, identifies himself as a “Gay Christian” in the video, which is part of conservative talk show host Dennis Prager’s educational video series. Janet begins by playing portions of the video and analyzing them with her usual brilliance. We have embedded the full Prager U video at the bottom of this post.

I understand that in these politically correct, apostate times, our position will be attacked, even by many Christians and certainly by many conservatives. But just because Benson is smart and a good communicator does not change the reality that he is undermining Biblical Truth on sex and marriage–as well as principled conservatism–with his self-interested claim to be a proud, open homosexual and a faithful Christian. This is an intellectually reckless claim; the young Benson could use some Biblical counseling from the likes of Stephen Black, who left the “gay” lifestyle and credits Jesus Christ for his transformation.

The truth, of course, is that “gay” activists–whom Benson lauds–have been at war with historic Biblical truth since before Stonewall, by crusading to turn a sinful sexual inclination into an innocuous identity. And it is preposterous for Benson to trivialize his embrace of sexual perversion–as a “Christian conservative”–as a mere “footnote.” We will have much more on Benson and the Prager U/”gay conservative”/”gay Christian” story in future posts. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH; @PeterLaBarbera
