Schools offer one-sided, pro-LGBTQ propaganda to celebrate homosexuality and “transgenderism,” and call that “diversity”

Metea Valley High School in Aurora, IL, recently joined with the activist group GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) to promote “GLSEN Ally Week,” in its school library. Schools like Metea talk a lot about “diversity” and “inclusion,” but they rarely allow opposing viewpoints on LGBTQ issues. This lack of balance dishonors and does a disservice to students. Dear AFTAH Readers,
I’m so proud of my son, John, for exposing the radical LGBTQ agenda at his high school, Metea Valley High School, in Aurora, Illinois [see below]. One-way “diversity and inclusion” of the sort Linda Harvey describes below is educational malpractice; it denies students basic facts–like the existence of ex-“gays”–and fuels the Left’s spurious narrative that opposing homosexualism and transgenderism = “hate” and “bigotry.”
I will have more on this situation in future posts, but for now suffice it to say that I now realize based on my experience with our children in public schools that very few parents have a even a clue about how ubiquitous political correctness is there. Naturally, I’m very attuned to it but even I can barely keep up with just the sexual and gender propaganda at one school, Metea Valley HS (which has many good qualities and fine teachers, and earned a “silver medal” in U.S. News’ rankings of “Best High Schools”). There is almost zero balance on the moral issue of homosexuality, and now transgendered “identities” are all the rage. Of course, it is intimidating for busy parents–much less students–to confront educational authorities about rampant bias.

Democrats pretend to be shocked, shocked at the potty mouth of Donald Trump.
But if Trump’s words were put in the mouth of a teen fiction character, the book would be celebrated as “bold” and “coming-of-age” by the American Library Association and lauded with numerous awards.
Especially if the book also featured openly homosexual adolescents.
Free speech is permitted, even promoted in some of today’s schools if it appears in the form of printed obscenity. But viewpoint exchanges by students? Think again.
At Metea Valley High School in the Chicago suburb of Aurora, Ill., administration officials came down sharply on one male student’s discussions with student members of the school’s “gay-straight alliance” because he dared to reveal the risks of homosexuality and the threat to religious freedom posed by Supreme Court-imposed homosexual “marriage.”
John, this courageous young Christian, approached the lunch-period recruiting table for the school’s “gay-straight alliance” and began a respectful dialogue that one of the GSA students claimed became heated. After a few GSA members accused John of yelling and being a “bully,” one honest GSA student – questioned by the junior class dean – verified John’s version: that he remained civil and was never aggressive or offensive.

I encourage every voter to watch this remarkable undercover video by Project Veritas Action, founded by “citizen journalist” James O’Keefe. James is doing the work that the “maintream” media should have been doing for years–and would be doing now were they not beholden to liberal ideology. Even Democratic pundits are agreeing that the media bias in this general election is worse than ever–as the media aggressively pursue every accusation against Donald Trump while giving Hillary Clinton the kid gloves treatment.
“Progressive” tactician Saul Alinsky’s mindset was that the end justifies the mean–and this is the modus operandi of so many on the Left today, whether it’s homosexual activists who lied about “10 Percent” of the population being “gay” (the number is actually around two percent) or the Southern Poverty Law Center creating an outrageous, bogus narrative that to oppose homosexualism is tantamount to “hate.” The Left’s real contempt is for the American people, whom they are quite willing to lie to and manipulate to achieve their goal of winning or keeping political power. But bold, alternative media like this is exposing the fraud and corruption that is endemic on the Left.
Kudos to James O’Keefe and his team for doing more to expose political corruption in one undercover video series than 1,000 lemmings in the “mainstream” media! Please share this with anyone you know who votes. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH

The Non-Secret Is “Out”: D.C.’s homosexual newspaper Washington Blade reported in 2014 that Shep Smith was a “closeted” (secret) homosexual. Here he attends a fund-raiser for the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association–which is funded by Fox News and other media corporations. Smith is the man on the farthest right. Well, we called it on Shep, but so did just about every other conservative who is in the know about Fox News: the network’s afternoon news anchor, Shepard Smith, has publicly “come out” as homosexual, in an interview with Huffington Post. Notice that we reject the modern vernacular, that Shep “came out as gay,” because we regard every personal “coming out” embracing homosexuality as a tragedy. Shep is not nobly walking into truth, he’s publicly embracing a lie–identifying himself positively with a sexual sin.
The main reason we predicted this sad news is that Shep never denied it when homosexual “journalists” like the editors at OUT magazine routinely labeled him as a “closeted” homosexual. No normal guy doesn’t deny that. And a guy who is struggling to overcome unwanted same-sex desires doesn’t show up for happy photos at a homosexual journalists fundraiser (the same group that once auctioned off a male stripper to raise funds).
Identifying publicly with a destructive and unnatural sin is a problem–not something to proud of, nor a natural identity, nor even a mere acknowledgement of an innocuous trait. We’re not buying it–as so many lazy thinkers in our country have–that Shep is inherently (or innately) “gay.”Hopefully one day he will ditch the lie and leave homosexuality behind, as so many people have.
In the HuffPo interview, Smith and his puff interviewer play up his “newsman” credentials–and he certainly is the guy to watch during, say, a terrorism crisis or natural disaster. But in covering cultural and political stories, Shep occasionally departs from objectivity and moves into–sometimes scathing–commentary that exposes his liberal bias. Exhibit A: his cheap shot at the hundreds of thousands of Americans taking part in Gov. Mike Huckabee’s 2012 “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” (see below).
As we have observed many times, “out” media elites have difficulty keeping their “proudly gay” politics from from influencing their public conduct. So we expect that the more comfortable Smith becomes in his “openly gay” shoes, the more he will let slip those unprofessional pro-“gay” quips that generally evince a contempt for religious and moral Americans.

The Worst State to Raise Children

It’s official: Oregon is in free-fall.
And if possible, you really don’t want to raise children there until some big changes are made.
Among a badly behaving peer group – the rest of the states in the U.S. – Oregon still sinks below them all, even radical Massachusetts and loony California.
It’s not just the legalized marijuana and assisted suicide. It’s not just the bisexual governor and the after-school Satan clubs that some Portlandia-dazed educators have welcomed.
Oregon’s liberals – who dominate the government and schools – consider children guinea pigs for grotesque experiments in sexual and spiritual corruption. Praise God for the few Christians and conservatives who have managed to limit these programs to some extent.
But much more remains to be done to protect Oregon’s children from permanent harm.
Consider these facts:
In Oregon, a 15-year-old can now embark on hormone and sex-change surgical treatment without a parent’s consent, paid for by Medicaid. This policy was quietly enacted in 2015 by an appointed commission of the Oregon Health Authority. Judicial Watch accessed documents and found that 56 children were treated for gender “assessment” in the first six months of the program, some under age 9.
Dr. Paul McHugh, former psychiatrist-in-chief at Johns Hopkins University, has called the Oregon policy for gender-confused youth “child abuse” and that such operations for youth are “never appropriate.”
The option for young teens to have healthy breasts and penises amputated is being advocated through the many school-based health clinics that bypass parental rights to advise children about intimate issues and often refer them to Planned Parenthood. Among the services the clinics promote for minor children are “reproductive health” and counseling for “LGBTQ” issues.
So middle-school girls are given birth control and referrals to Planned Parenthood, and students questioning their sexuality will most likely be told, inaccurately, that some people are “born that way” and that such sexual expression is just as natural as heterosexuality.

What a shock: President Obama–the same man who fibbed to U.S. voters in 2008 about his pious opposition to homosexual “marriage”–was truth-challenged again about what led up to his disastrous “transgender,” men-and-boys-in-female-restrooms Executive Order.
Always remember this: the self-righteous Left employs an “End Justifies the Means” approach because, in their foolish pride, they define their entire agenda–no matter how depraved or extreme its policies–as morally superior to their reactionary, “hateful” opponents. (Think partial-birth infanticide abortion and taxpayer-funded transsexual healthy-body-mutilations “sex-reassignment surgeries.”)
So a few lies here and a few lies there are no big deal if that’s what it takes to “transform” America in the direction of “equality” (GaySpeak for radical egalitarianism falsely equating natural heterosexuality and marriage with deviant-sex/confused-gender immorality)…Can I get a smug leftist amen?

The science on sexuality and gender proves that much of the foregoing narrative advanced by LGBT activists is based on presumption and falsehood. The overview given in the new report from The New Atlantis should help inform lawmakers and others when approaching a matter so important: our children deserve to be treated according to the best scientific knowledge, and not made pawns in a political game by those driving an agenda of supposed “rights” and “equality.”

Podesta Must Now Be Fired
Yesterday, I stopped short of asking Hillary Clinton to fire John Podesta, her campaign chairman. In light of the latest Wikileaks revelations, she has no choice but to cut all ties with this man. The man is hell bent on creating mutiny in the Catholic Church and must therefore be fired.
We have long known that George Soros is the single most influential donor to dissident, and anti-Catholic, organizations. Now we know from Wikileaks what I long have suspected: John Podesta has been the most influential point man running offense for Soros. Together, they have sought to manipulate public opinion against the Catholic Church.
In 2012, Sandy Newman, founder of the left-wing group, Voices for Progress, asked Podesta for advice on how best to “plant the seeds of the revolution.” The revolution he sought was an attempt to sunder the Catholic Church. Newman, who is Jewish, confessed that he was a rookie at trying to subvert the Catholic Church. But he was determined to do so.
“There needs to be a Catholic Spring,” Newman told Podesta, “in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic Church.”

Isn’t it interesting that even though LGBTQ characters are over represented on film and TV relative to the homosexual population, “gay” and now “transgender” activists still play the victim card and demand MORE homosexual and gender-confused characters!

“He’s craaazy,” Olaf the Snowman declared in the Disney’s hit film Frozen.
Olaf could have been talking about homosexual activists instead of an iceman talking to rocks.
“It’s about time that parents start doing something to combat this,” pro-family advocate Peter LaBarbera says of the social media push to involve homosexuality in a Frozen sequel.
LaBarbera is responding to the effort that began May 2, when a Twitter campaign took off with the hash tag “#GiveElsaAGirlfriend.”
“Elsa” is the lead character inFrozen, which became another Disney hit in 2013 and earned more than one billion dollars at the box office. A sequel is being planned, Disney announced in March.
“We cannot keep rewarding Hollywood,” LaBarbera says, “when they’re pushing homosexuality, and sexual and gender deviance, on the kids.”
