Matt Barber says Prop 8 violence shows ‘gays’ are ‘most hateful among us’

mormon_temple_salt_lake_city.jpgEnvelopes with suspicious white powder were discovered at two Mormon temples, including this one in Salt Lake City, and a Knights of Columbus printing plant in Connecticut — probable “gay” terrorist retribution for the Mormons and the Catholic group’s strong support for Proposition 8 in California. “Queer” intolerance for dissent is out of control — but where are the “gay” leaders reigning in their fanatics? When asked on FOX News today about the escalating anger and protests targeting churches, Joe Solmonese of Human Rights Campaign — which has sought to link Christian pro-family groups to “hate violence” against homosexuals — could barely bring himself to say a negative word against the radicals on his side. Americans need to know: are the Justice Department and FBI watching out for coordinated acts of homosexual “hate violence” and churches, synagogues and mosques?

Matt Barber, who is director of Cultural Affairs with both Liberty Counsel and Liberty Alliance Action and associate dean with Liberty University School of Law — and  a Board Member of Americans For Truth — puts all the “queer” anger, intolerance, and even violence in perspective below. Send you comments to Matt at jmattbarber@comcast.net.

Counterfeit Marriage and its Counterfeit Movement

With a unified voice amplified several million-fold through the ballot box megaphone, African-Americans have spoken on the issues of marriage, family and human sexuality. Whether young or old, male or female, Democrat or Republican, blacks are justifiably fed up with the deceptive antics of the self-described and craftily contrived “gay rights movement.”

For decades now, well-organized, well-funded and highly influential “gay” political pressure groups have, with impertinence, hijacked the language of the authentic civil rights movement. In what amounts to a sort of soft racism, self-styled “queers” have disingenuously and ignobly hitched their lil’ lavender wagons to a movement which, by contrast, is built upon the genuine and noble precepts of racial equality and humanitarian justice.

An illegitimate offspring of the ’60s sexual revolution, the newfangled “gay rights” cult is today’s postmodern, sex-centric cause célèbre. Its core tenets include, among other things, mandated moral relativism, social androgyny and forced acceptance of a pleasure-based, though demonstrably destructive, lifestyle. Apart from practitioners of “the sin that dare not speak its name,” its devotees are in large part institutional fringe elitists confined to blue-state America who almost universally suffer the insufferable pangs of white guilt.

Florida Marriage Amendment Passes by 62 Percent Despite Being Outspent 3 to 1

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

The following report was sent by John Stemberger, chairman of Florida’s “Yes2Marriage.org” marriage protection amendment that passed by over 62 percent in the state. Congratulations to everyone in Florida and outside of Florida who contributed to this victory — but especially to John Stemberger for his stellar leadership. — Peter LaBarbera

Passage of the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment: the Triumph of the Common Man over Cultural Elites

Dear Friend,

We did it — You did it — And ultimately God did it!  After four long years of hard work and some rather stunning opposition along the way, the Florida Marriage Protection Act is now a permanent part of the Florida Constitution under Article I, Section 27.  This is simply a remarkable and historical victory.  Well over four and a half million Floridians comprising 62.1% of the electorate voted for the common sense idea that marriage will remain between one man and one woman.

Homosexuals Call for Violence against Christian Supporters of Prop 8

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

queerty_burn_down_mormon_temples.jpg

Surprise, surprise. Some “queer” activists are revealing their homo-fascist tendencies in the wake of the passage Tuesday of the pro-traditional-marriage amendment Prop 8 in California. Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel — who is also a Board Member of Americans For Truth about Homosexuality — issued the release below exposing the intolerance of some homosexual opponents of Prop 8.

The two web posts shown here are copied from the vicious homosexual activist website “Queerty” (which is no fan of AFTAH either). To be fair, there were also posts from homosexual activists — including “gay” icon Frank Kameny — condemning the violent statements. Said Kameny mockingly:

Yes, isn’t it wonderful that all these wonderful boys and girls who fly their rainbow flag and talk about “tolerance” would advocate violence against institutions and people that didn’t vote their way in an election, i.e. the free exercise of DEMOCRACY.” Fidel [Castro] and Hugo [Chavez] would be oh so proud.

The despicable “Queerty,” posts are among the “comments” to a Queerty post titled, “You’ll want to punch them” — showing Prop 8 backers celebrating on election night. Queerty’s webmaster has not removed these two postings even after Barber sent out his release criticizing them yesterday. WorldNetDaily reports on the “gay” anti-Prop 8 intolerance HERE.

Now just imagine the outcry if a Christian site left up a comment from a guy calling on readers to burn down a “gay” church. — Peter LaBarbera

“Gays” Call for Violence Against Christian Supporters of Prop 8

Lynchburg, VA – In a stunning reaction to the passage of state constitutional marriage protection amendments in California, Arizona and Florida, several self identified homosexuals on a number of homosexual blogs are advocating violence against Christians and other supporters of traditional marriage.  Additionally, some homosexuals are calling for church burnings in response to yesterday’s three state referenda in defense of natural marriage.

In a blog entry titled “You’ll Want to Punch them” on Queerty.com, poster “BillyBob Thornton” wrote, “… I have never considered being a violent radical extremist for our Equal Rights, But now I think maybe I should consider becoming one.”

“Stenar” asked (see graphic at top), “Can someone in CA please go burn down the Mormon temples there, PLEASE. I mean seriously. DO IT.” “Angelo Ventura,”  said, “… hope they all rot in hell, those servants of a lying, corrupt devil!
BAN RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALISM!”  And, “Jonathan,” warned, “I’m going to give them something to be f – ing scared of. … I’m a radical who is now on a mission to make them all pay for what they’ve done.”

McCain Lost because He Failed to Expose Obama’s Far Left Record on Abortion and Homosexual ‘Marriage’

Americans For Truth News Release

Contact: Peter LaBarbera: 630-717-7631; americansfortruth@comcast.net

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Peter LaBarbera, President of Americans For Truth about Homosexuality, issued the following statement on the election of Barack Obama:

We at Americans For Truth join millions of pro-life and pro-family advocates in expressing our profound sadness that America has just elected the most pro-homosexual and pro-abortion presidential candidate in our nation’s history: Barack Obama. However, President-elect Obama has no clear mandate on those issues because they were largely ignored by John McCain and the media in this race.

While we celebrate the transcendence of race as a dominant issue in U.S. politics – and the expiation of America’s past racial sins represented by Obama’s triumph — the truth is that Obama is a far-left ideologue on abortion and homosexuality. Incredibly, McCain largely avoided the life issue and failed to raise Obama’s hypocritical, confused stance on same-sex “marriage.” Had he run aggressively on these and other conservative issues, McCain could have won – as demonstrated by the victories of pro-natural-marriage amendments in California, Florida and Arizona yesterday.

Liberal Republicanism loses elections. The GOP must return to its pro-family roots if it wants to start winning again.

Most Americans have no idea how extreme Obama is on abortion and homosexuality, due to Obama’s clever obfuscations and McCain’s refusal to educate Americans on the Democratic candidate’s social record, which includes:

  • Obama’s support of federal “civil unions” legislation that mimics “gay marriage” – and his promise to repeal the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which prevents states from being forced to recognize out-of-state same-sex “marriages”;
  • Obama’s vow, in a time of war, to open up the U.S. military to open homosexuality;
  • Obama’s promise to Planned Parenthood to sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would override pro-life reform laws across the nation;
  • Obama pledge to homosexual activists to use the White House “bully pulpit” to advocate for homosexual adoption – placing children in homes that are motherless or fatherless by design;
  • Obama’s support of the most extreme, pro-transsexual version of ENDA, the Employment Nondiscrimination Act – which has severe implications for Americans’ religious and First Amendment freedoms. ENDA would dramatically expand federal power by forcing businessmen to factor in employees’ sexual habits and gender confusion in hiring and firing decisions;
  • Obama’s distortion of the Bible and historic Christianity to justify his support for abortion-on-demand and homosexuality as a “civil right.”

Video Shows Intolerance of Anti-Natural-Marriage Forces in California

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

prop_8_family_harassed_smal.jpgVandals For ‘Gay Marriage’? California family that supports the Proposition 8 amendment — reinstating the natural definition of marriage as between a man and a woman — poses beside their car, which was vandalized by “No on 8” activists. The family was targeted for their beliefs. Click HERE to watch a Protect Marriage video describing the hateful acts and slanders committed by pro-homosexual “No on 8” activists.

Dear Americans For Truth Reader,

Please go to the California “Protect Marriage” website and view their compelling video on the desperation of “No on 8” forces trying to derail the proposed constitutional amendment to preserve the natural definition of marriage as one-man, one-woman.

Note the hypocrisy of the “gay marriage” forces — you know, the ones who like to lecture the rest of us on  “tolerance.” Come to think of it, it looks like the “No on 8” activists could use some diversity training.

Seriously, it is imperative that California citizens VOTE TODAY on this critically important issue and urge your friends to do likewise! Ditto for voters in Florida and Arizona who also have the opportunity to preserve and protect natural marriage at the ballot box. (Florida’s amendment requires a 60-percent “Yes” vote.)

To everyone else outside those states the message is the same: please vote today, and do not let the liberal media decide this election. If you are in the western half of the country, please do not even consider not voting — even if you have heard that exit polls on the eastern half of the country are running against your candidate or your preferred party! Your vote counts — not just for deciding who will be our next president, but for deciding a host of local races and the composition of the United States House and Senate.

Again, I urge you: don’t throw your vote away by failing to show up on Election Day! America’s fighting men have given their lives to guarantee the freedom to vote for Iraqis in that far away land. Let’s not dishonor their sacrifice by failing to exercise our same precious right here in America. God bless you. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

Below is a letter from California Proposition 8’s campaign manager, Frank Shubert:

Dear Friend,

With every recent poll showing Proposition 8 slightly leading or surging with support, our opponents are growing increasingly desperate.

They have aired two new commercials this weekend that are nothing short of shameful. In one, they compare people who believe in traditional marriage to those responsible for the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. And in another they call backers of traditional marriage, “intolerant” and “offensive.”

Did you ever dream that because you believe marriage is between a man and a woman you’d be called “intolerant,” “offensive” and have it suggested you are racist to boot?

Do the tactics of our opponents anger you? They anger me. But let’s not lash out. Let’s use this as motivation to maximize our get-out-the-vote efforts so that we send a powerful message on Tuesday: Proposition 8 will pass because traditional marriage matters.

Born Gay or a Gay Basher? No Excuse

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

by Frank Turek, Townhall.com, 11-1-08

After my last column, I got an e-mail from retired FBI agent Bob Hamer.  Bob’s the author of a riveting new book that takes you undercover with him into the world of drug bosses, hit men, and his last assignment, the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).   After I sent him a copy of my new book on same-sex marriage, he wrote back:

“Thanks so much for sharing your book. It was powerful and I need to re-read it because it said so much. It actually brought back memories of the NAMBLA conferences I attended. I listened to men justify oral sex on 18 month olds. How often I listened to men claim their pedophilia was an inborn trait; it was natural, ‘this is the way God made me.’”

This “born that way” argument is fueling the case for same-sex marriage in California.  Is it a good argument?

I know this is a difficult and emotional issue for many people, but I think the reasonable answer is no. Not only is the evidence for being “born that way” questionable, even if it were true, it should have no impact on our marriage laws.
First, after many years of intense research, a genetic component to homosexual desires has not been discovered. Twin studies show that identical twins do not consistently have the same sexual orientation. In fact, genetics probably explains very little about homosexual desires. How would a homosexual “gene” be passed on? Homosexuals don’t pass on anything because they don’t reproduce.

This Is What Prop 8 Is all about

Californians: Do you want this baby to be taught in school that “two daddies” is morally equivalent to a mom and a dad?

prop_8_mother_baby_sd.jpg

Pro-Prop 8 mom rallies for marriage in San Diego with baby in tow. Proposition 8 would restore the age-old definition of marriage in California as between one man and one woman — overturning a 4-3 California supreme court ruling imposing the radical vision of homosexual “marriage” on that state. Californians who favor keeping marriage as between a man and a woman are urged to vote YES on Prop 8 on Nov. 4 and support Prop 8 HERE“Yes on 8” advocates have made the effect of legalized “same-sex marriage” on schoolchildren the central issue of their campaign. Sadly, pro-homosexual indoctrination of California students began with the proliferation of “sexual orientation” laws — well before the California court’s pro-“gay marriage” decision earlier this year. For a look at what homosexual “marriage” has brought to another state, see Brian Camenker’s article Massachusetts, “What Gay ‘Marriage’ Has Done to Massachusetts.”

Meanwhile, California’s pro-“gay marriage” forces have scrupulously kept images of homosexual couples and those proud “queer marriages” out of their TV ads. We wonder why. Could it be that they understand that the average citizen (as opposed to committed pro-homosexual liberals) is put off by the idea of two men or two women “marrying”? California’s election on Prop 8 will affect the course of the “gay marriage” debate across the country for years to come.

Florida Marriage Advocate Says Anti-Amendment 2 Effort the Dirtiest Campaign He’s ever Seen

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

The following appeal was written by John Stemberger, director of the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment campaign; you can give to the pro-defense of marriage side HERE:

Dear Friend,

In 25 years of working in campaigns I have never seen greater hostility, illegal activity and just stunning vandalism by the opponents of Amendment 2.

Since I last reported it to you, they are now stooping lower than low.  And tonight at midnight is the legal deadline for you to make a contribution to do something about it.

The most recent poll commissioned by Bay News 9 has us now with 59% of Floridians in support of 2 —only 1% away from the 60% we need to win. And because we are so very close the opposition has become more desperate than ever because even their own fraudulent messages trying to scare senior citizens are not working.  So they are resorting to anything goes –despicable campaigning.
