In New Jersey, the Real Battle over Marriage Has Already Been Lost

‘Civil Unions’ is hardly an acceptable compromise

The item at bottom was sent out Nov. 18 as a part of Family Research Council President Tony Perkins’ “Washington Update.” We agree with the sentiments, with a caveat regarding this line: “…force the state back into a bitter debate that many believed was solved by the legislature earlier this year.” This apparently refers to  the New Jersey legislature’s 2006 vote for homosexual “civil unions,” which was signed into law by Gov. John Corzine (D) last December and went into effect in February.

We are sure that by using the word “solved” Mr. Perkins does not mean to condone “civil unions” — which is merely “same-sex marriage” by another name. However, it is unfortunately the case that a significant minority of “conservatives,” including pro-life and pro-family advocates, now see “civil unions” as a way out of the homosexual “marriage” mess.

The gap between traditional marriage (i.e., normalcy) and “civil unions” is far wider than that between “civil unions” and “same-sex marriage” — a strategic reality of which the more savvy homosexual activists are well aware (even as the Gay Whining Machine complains about a lack of marital “equality”).

In fact, New Jersey’s “civil unions” law recognizes out-of-state “gay marriages.” It “seeks to give gay couples the same rights in the state as married couples,” reports the USA Today. How much clearer can you get than that on the effect of this “compromise”?

Wikisposure, a website set up by the Perverted-Justice.com to expose pedophiles, sadly has chosen to “redirect” its page on Nelson Garcia after Americans For Truth linked to it in an effort to document Garcia past as a “boy lover” and criminal arrested for possessing child pornography. Here is our point-by-point response to Wikisposure’s tendentious, pro-homosexuality post:

AFTAH RESPONDS: Wikisposure has obviously not done its research, thus exposes its particular biases and bigotry. Disagreement is not hate, and morality is not prejudice. AFTAH is indeed diametrically opposed to the political/cultural agendas of homosexual, bisexual and transgender activist groups; we think homosexual behavior is wrong, unnatural and changeable, and that nobody is innately “gay”; they think it is right and the basis for a healthy identity, and perhaps even marriage.

We do not “hate” people, but oppose behavior, and have many times stressed the need to reach out to homosexuals with the love of Christ. At our recent banquet, former lesbian Charlene Cothran did just that. As Christians, we are commanded to speak the truth “in love.” We have condemned anti-homosexual (including “Christian”) activists whose messages do not meet that standard. By classifying Americans For Truth as a “hate group,” Wikisposure unfortunately shows that it is willing to make its purpose (which we naively presumed to be merely exposing pedophiles) subservient to a larger, politically correct agenda that includes demonizing and stigmatizing people of faith who do not share their homosexuality-positive viewpoint. That’s too bad.

Labeling historic Judeo-Christian morality as “hate” and its defenders as “haters” is itself an act of profound bigotry. (And we must remind all concerned that many Americans who do not consider themselves religious still consider homosexual behavior to be immoral.) Our question to Wikisposure editors, and to all pro-homosexuality advocates, is this: can you disagree with homosexuality — or believe homosexual behavior is sinful — without being labeled as “haters”?  Do you “hate” Americans For Truth, or do you just disagree with us? If you do hate us, is that hate acceptable because it falls within the framework of your ideology?

WIKISPOSURE CONTINUES: … [Americans For Truth] recently attacked a Nelson Garcia who is profiled on our Wiki[1] [links to page which was the original target of the AFTAH story link on Garcia that was redirected; you may need to click another link to get to the original page]. Nelson Garcia is, of course, a dangerous pedophile activist. He should be exposed to his community and his credibility attacked, of course. He is not, by any means, profiled here because he is attracted to males. He is profiled here because he is attracted to underage minors. The reason “Americans for Truth” are attacking him isn’t because he’s a pedophile, but rather that he is attracted to males.

AFTAH RESPONDS: This is preposterous, and again shows Wikisposure’s unfortunate willingness to put politics above its noble mission of protecting children. AFTAH helped expose Nelson Garcia because Garcia has made it his mission to demonize us, while keeping his pederastic past hidden from the public. He was ripe for exposure, spewing all kinds of lies and hatred at Americans For Truth and other Christian groups and leaders opposed to homosexuality. Garcia — busted for possessing child pornography — has the audacity to smear AFTAH founder Peter LaBarbera as “Porno Pete” and another pro-family advocate — parental rights defender David Parker — as a “child abuser.”

Nelson Garcia of ‘NG Blog,’ a ‘Boy Lover’ with Criminal Child Porn Conviction, Blasts AFTAH

 Convicted homosexual possessor of child pornography and confessed “boy lover” Nelson Garcia (see www.wikisposure.com/NG) spews lies and hate against Americans For Truth founder Peter LaBarbera.  Garcia didn’t like our recent fundraising appeal.  This is Garcia’s mug shot from the New York sex crimes database.

When you are in the business of fighting a sin-based movement, you come under attack from some pretty wicked and unsavory forces.  We’re used to that here at AFTAH.  But when a “boy-loving” homosexual militant who has been convicted of possessing child pornography comes after you with lies and hateful accusations, we put that in a special category.  After our appeal Wednesday for financial help, a homosexual activist operating under his “NG Blog” attacked me and Americans For Truth with a lie-filled post accusing us of “groveling for money.” 
 
Turns out that “NG Blog” is run by one Nelson Garcia, a New York City homosexual who was convicted of possessing child pornography.  Garcia is also a confessed “boy lover.”  (See http://www.wikisposure.com/NG.)  ‘Boy-lover’ is the twisted “gay” slang term used by the pederasty group NAMBLA, the “North American Man/Boy Love Association — which, by the way, once marched in big-city “Gay Pride” parades. 
 
Thanks to the good people at the Wikisposure Project — a branch of the Perverted-Justice Foundation, which exposes internet predators and pedophiles — Garcia’s secret is out. Here is part of Wiksposure’s post (http://www.wikisposure.com/NG) on our pedophile nemesis (emphasis added):

Nelson Garcia, aka NG, nlsngrc, and ng1260, would like the world to believe that he is merely an online gay activist. However, the reality is that he’s a pedophile, and one who has been convicted of sex crimes. He has admitted to being a boylover, although he has not expressed his preferred AoA [Age of Attraction].
 
A regular poster on BoyBliss and Boylover.net, Garcia was arrested and charged following a series of online chats with an undercover police officer from New Hampshire. During the course of those conversations, Garcia transmitted pornographic images of pre-pubescent boys who were engaged in sexual acts. He was sentenced to one year incarceration with no possibility of early release and was ordered to register as a level one sex offender with the New York State Sex Offender Registry.

Talk about audacity: Garcia continues to advocate against laws restricting child pornography on his radical “NG Blog.”   Moreover, he slanders pro-family advocates with outright lies, like calling me “Porno Pete” and parents rights advocate David Parker a “child abuser.”  How sick is that?
 
Garcia is also part of the homosexual blogging community.  We’ll see after Garcia’s “boy-loving” criminal record becomes well-known how “tolerant” other “gay” bloggers will be of this unrepentant apologist for NAMBLA’s agenda –who doesn’t seem to have learned much from being busted on child porn charges.  We’ll have more on Nelson Garcia in future posts at www.americansfortruth.org.  — Peter LaBarbera

This is not close to being a comprehensive list!  And it doesn’t include the smaller groups and homosexual bloggers like Wayne Besen — who with his comically-named “Truth Wins Out” is particularly hateful in attacking me and Americans For Truth.  Besen came up with the smear tag “Porno Pete,” as if I’m the pornographer for exposing homosexual promiscuity and heinous perversions like the recent sadistic San Francisco “Folsom Street Fair”,  and last week’s “International Mr. Rubber” event in Chicago (done in partnership with the city’s homosexual “Center on Halsted”).

Americans For Truth will never be intimidated or back down in the face of such attacks. Our opponents know this and hate us for it. Here’s the reality of the homosexual activism we face:

• In the name of fighting “hate,” pro-homosexuality activists hate and viciously ridicule and lie about people of faith — who do not hate homosexuals but merely oppose homosexual behavior as a changeable sin;
• In the name of “diversity,” they work behind the scenes to keep Americans For Truth and other pro-family groups off “diversity” panels and media debates; and push for corporate “awareness” programs that undermine traditional employees’ religious convictions;
• In the name of “tolerance,” they demonize us and equate committed Christians and other moral-minded citizens with evil, racist fringe groups like the KKK; they do this knowing that Americans For Truth and other pro-family groups work hand-in-hand with African Americans and other minorities;
• They imply that we’re perverts because we expose perversion that the media refuses to cover honestly;
• They celebrate when people “come out” as homosexuals, then deny and ridicule the wonderful testimonies of men and women who have “come out” of homosexuality, through a relationship with Jesus Christ;
• In the name of “compassionate, ‘gay’-affirming Christianity,” they distort the Word of God beyond recognition, and blaspheme the Creator;
• In the name of “safe schools,” they indoctrinate innocent children with one-sided, manipulative, pro-homosexual lessons;
• In the name of “pride,” they distort history, falsely labeling as “gay” deceased historical heroes and icons who can no longer defend their good name — like Abraham Lincoln and the Apostle John — even Jesus Christ Himself;
• In the name of “fighting HIV/AIDS,” they promote homosexual behavior, while obfuscating the clear role of such behavior in spreading the disease, thus putting new generations of men and women at risk. Meanwhile, the special health risks of homosexual acts are rarely discussed;

Folks, we cannot retreat in the face of such evil. If America surrenders in the ongoing “Culture War” over homosexuality and gender confusion, we will suffer the fate of Canada and Great Britain and other countries, where the “freedom to be moral” — that is, to follow God and His teachings in the Bible — becomes illegal and the government becomes a tool to promote homosexuality, even to young children.

As a great abolitionist once said, eternal vigilance is the price of liberty: each of us has a stake in defending truth and preserving our freedoms.

We at AFTAH will happily endure the homosexual activists’ childish insults and innuendos, their vindictiveness and hateful diatribes — even their violent threats — because we know our cause is just. They would make our loving Heavenly Father out to a liar, claiming that homosexual, bisexual, and “transgender” “orientations” are a “gift from God.” We must expose and confront such lies, which are taking hold in the culture, especially among young people.

I’m sick of it. I really am.

I’m not homo-phobic. I’m not homo-hateful. I’m not homo-latent. I’m homo-nauseous. I really couldn’t care less where a man desires to put his appendage.

But I’m sick of hearing about it. I’m sick of talking about it. I’m sick of it being force fed to me on TV. 

In all of my life I have never seen such deviancy so openly celebrated.  They are deviant, you know?  No matter how many names they will try and call me, no matter how many “sensitivity” classes they try and send me to, no matter how much tolerance they try and cram down my throat (sorry), the fact remains homosexuals are deviant.

Deviant — One that differs from a norm, especially a person whose behavior and attitudes differ from accepted social standards.

Just When You Thought It Couldn’t Get any Weirder: ‘International Mr. Rubber’ Comes to Chicago

Or is this just another ‘sexual orientation’ to be celebrated?

 The perversion celebration known as “International Mr. Rubber” partnered with Chicago’s “Center on Halsted,” below, a new homosexual community center in Boystown that was financed with the help of the Illinois Treasurer’s office.

 Rubber-men were treated to the lecture, “A brief history of kink in America,” at the Center on Halsted in Chicago on November 10. History is important to the “fetish community”: this particular presentation was made by the Leather Archives & Museum, a Chicago “museum” that caters to sadomasochists.

When did Chicago become a worldwide Mecca for perversion enthusiasts? Every year it hosts “International Mr. Leather” with its accompany “pig sex” parties (somebody call the Swine Defamation League). The Windy City is home to a “museum” for sadistic sex practitioners called the “Leather Archives & Museum” —  no joke; here’s the link to this tax-exempt, non-profit institution.

And now, Sodom-by-the-Lake welcomes International Mr. Rubber, an international contest for, well, rubber fetishists. Don’t ask. The picture above from their website should tell you all you need to know.

Partnering with the rubber enthusiasts was the Center on Halsted, a brand new “GLBT” community center in Chicago’s homosexual Boystown neighborhood (which is officially demarcated with rainbow kiosks). Center on Halsted’s construction was financed with the help of Illinois taxpayers through a $10 million “link deposit” by the Treasurer’s office — then run by a Republican, Judy Baar Topinka — that helped them get access to low interest-rate loans.

The same Center on Halsted runs programs for homosexual, bisexual and transgendered teenagers. Leather Archives also partners with Center on Halsted.

Is “rubber” just another “sexual orientation” or a perversion that is so twisted that most normal people could not even conceive of it? Either way, the rubber “fetishists” apparently were out in force in Chicago area over the weekend, doing whatever rubber fetishists do. (Oh, I almost forgot: exposing this bizarre event makes me a closet “rubber-man” myself, according to the thinking of some “queer”-identified bloggers who keep a close watch on Americans For Truth. I do confess to enjoying Jacques Cousteau TV specials as a boy.)

Morella on ENDA: ‘Rational Societies Discriminate between Right and Wrong’

Gary Morella sent the following letter to President Bush: 

November 8, 2007

Dear Mr. President:

ENDA [Employment Nondiscrimination Act, H.R. 3685] is horrendous legislation that must  be vetoed for the sake of the common good.  It was put forth for one reason, and one reason only, i.e., the advocacy of a social engineering agenda under force of law by a radical fringe who demand that society make them comfortable with their vices, which is counter to the aforementioned common good, as classically understood from the time of Aristotle’s Politics.  Any exemptions are illusions, as verified by what has been going on in Canada and Europe, especially the UK, when irrational legislation is made law. All one has to do is query those who were visited by the police for standing up for faith and right reason, which are married, not divorced!  Society is not obliged to codify law that makes aberrant behavior a civil right, which is insanity, and ultimately leads to anarchy! 

Moreover, we are talking proven changeable, aberrant behavior that is physically, psychologically, socially, and economically ruinous, not to mention the coercion of people of faith by its advocates, which is pure and simply, UN-AMERICAN, making a mockery of the sacrifices of all those who fought and died for our country in its history.   Rational societies are obliged to discriminate between right and wrong behavior; else, they cease being rational!  If responsible parents can understand this, why can’t responsible states? 

Accordingly, there is no choice here, Mr. President, for the sake of a world fit to live in for our children and grandchildren.  Please VETO ENDA for the common good which should be the primary goal of the state!

Matt Barber, Keith Boykin Debate ENDA on CNN

The great irony here is that Barber himself was fired by Allstate for criticizing homosexuality (of course, Allstate denied that was the reason for terminating him), but he cannot discuss the case because his settlement with the insurance giant includes a confidentiality clause. This debate occurred before the House vote passing ENDA.
