We also discuss the Republican Party’s growing support for proud homosexuality, as House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) held a fund-raiser for openly homosexual San Dieogo congressional candidate Carl DeMaio just when DeMaio had been charged with sexually harassing another homosexual male campaign worker [see AIM story HERE]. Calling Moral Speech “Hate”: Canadian Border Services document last April declares AFTAH’s Peter LaBarbera “inadmissible” to Canada on the basis that his actions had “incited hate,” thus violating the country’s pro-homosexual anti-“hate-speech” law. LaBarbera appealed the decision and was allowed into Canada, only to get arrested a couple of days later with Canadian pro-family activist Bill Whatcott–as they both refused on principle to heed a police demand to cease a peaceful pro-life and pro-family protest at the University of Regina. Two days after AFTAH’s annual banquet featuring Dr. Michael Brown on Oct. 25, I will be heading off to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to stand trial with my friend and Canadian pro-family activist Bill Whatcott. We hope to be exonerated from the criminal “mischief” charge that led to our arrest and incarceration April 14–after we resisted a police order to abandon our peaceful pro-life/pro-family protest at the University of Regina. [See AFTAH’s original story on our arrests HERE.]
At the protest, I held one of Bill’s sign that said, “Sodomy Is a Sin,” as well as a large placard showing an unborn baby. Who can blame the University of Regina and Canadian cops for cracking down on such unbridled and sinister HATE?! (Meanwhile, Muslims, a significant portion of whom follow shariah law—whose punishments against homosexual acts include the death penalty by stoning–are welcomed into Canada as students at U-Regina. Such is the folly of political correctness.)
After our arrest, U-Regina provost and vice president Thomas Chase was quoted in the newspaper as saying that our materials were “graphic” and “disturbing.” Among them was my one-page flier on some of the “Homosexual Health Risks.” Dangerous propaganda, that. Said Chase:
“The materials, we felt, could harm members of this campus community who we have a duty to protect and support.”
Leftists like to use government and institutions to control others, and they often fear a robust and free exchange of competing ideas. This explains U-Regina’s censorship and squelching of a debate that actually would have benefited its students. (We had friendly discussions with some young adults before the arrest.) Such bureaucratic speech “protection” dishonors students, who by the time they reach college should be able to hear all sides of every issue and make decisions for themselves on what they believe.
Almost banned from Canada
Prior to our protest, I learned the hard way that Canada is no longer a truly free country. Arriving at the Regina International Airport on a late flight, and after all the other passengers sailed through Customs, I was detained and questioned by Border Services agents for hours. Agents sifted through all my belongings–including my cell phone and computer–searching for evidence of alleged potential “incitement of hatred.” “Hate” propaganda on the basis of “sexual orientation” is banned in Canada, and the country has forced self-censorship of incoming broadcast transmissions dealing with homosexuality–e.g., broadcasts from Christian ministries like Focus on the Family–for years.
At times the airport investigation of yours truly was as comical as it was surreal: one of the images in my smart phone was of a colorful Nazi swastika. One of the Border agents queried me about it, thinking he might have discovered some compelling proof of “hate.” Perhaps Bill and I were planning a secret rendezvous with the Regina Neo-Nazi Brigade! Alas, I explained to the agent, this particular photo was one that I took at a hateful “gay” activist event in San Francisco’s homosexual Castro district, timed to mock Easter. It falsely equates Christians with genocidal Nazis. The agent didn’t really show much interest as he continued to go through my luggage and papers, book by book and piece by piece.
Ultimately, I was informed that I would be formally denied entry into Canada on the basis that my activities through Americans For Truth violated Canada’s anti-“hate” propaganda law.” You can see the official notice above from border agent Darren Banick. It reads in part:

Is a person who is: A foreign national who has not been authorized to enter Canada and who, in my opinion, is inadmissible…on the grounds of criminally committing an act outside of Canada that…if committed in Canada, would constitute an indictable offence under an Act of Parliament….
Mr. LaBarbera….if allowed in to [sic] Canada he may commit and acts [sic] which would be against the criminal code of Canada. Section 319(1)CC Public Incitement of Hatred.
Section 36(2)(C) of IRPA [Immigration and Refugee Protection Act] states in that there are reasonable grounds to believe is a foreign national who is inadmissible on the grounds of [criminality] for committing an act outside Canada that is an [offence] in the place where it was committed.

Folks, the internecine war in the Republican Party between social conservatives and libertarians who want to abandon abortion and homosexuality as major issues in the Party is bubbling to the surface. The following is an open letter signed by some leading Christian pro-life and pro-family advocates in San Diego–most notably pastor Jim Garlow, who led the victorious 2008 campaign for California’s Proposition 8 ballot initiative defending marriage. The letter urges concerned San Diego Christians to cast a “tactical vote” against openly homosexual Republican congressional candidate Carl DeMaio, who supports homosexuality-based “marriage” and abortion rights. DeMaio’s campaign TV ad declaring himself a “proud gay American” who eschews “divisive social agendas” (even as he embraces them) is below [more analysis follows beneath video]:
All across America, GOP leaders are walking away from or downplaying the Party’s principled pro-family and pro-life platform. Their assumption is that this will help the Party win “moderate” votes and hence elections–a plan that didn’t work out so well for 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney (who, among other dubious stances, came out for open homosexuals in the Boy Scouts). The message from GOP elites in Washington is loud and clear: social issues are a drag on the Party; ignore them to win. But few Republican big shots seem to consider this relevant political question: how many social conservatives will walk away from the GOP or simply not vote–or be far less energized to volunteer for and fund a given GOP campaign–than they would be had a well-rounded social conservative been nominated?

JUDICIAL TYRANNY: Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin decried the Supreme Court action opening up the door to legal homosexual “marriages” in her state. In 2004, Oklahoma voters passed an amendment to preserve marriage as between a man and a woman by a three to one margin. Nevertheless, counterfeit “gay marriages” began yesterday in the conservative state.

AFTAH Calls for ‘Civil Disobedience on a Massive Scale’ in Response to SCOTUS Ruling Imposing Homosexual “Marriage” by Default in Five More States
Statement by AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera:
We are witnessing a “gradual Roe v. Wade” by which unelected judges impose homosexual ‘marriage’ on the nation. Hubris rules the day as millions of Americans’ votes defending actual marriage (one man, one woman) are negated by one court ruling after another. Each decision bastardizes America’s noble quest for racial justice by invoking “equality” for unions based on disordered sexual behavior that can never be “equal” to God-ordained sex within marriage. Now the nation’s highest court is content to let the ongoing disenfranchisement become law.
Yesterday’s action by the Supreme Court only solidifies the idea that the powerful elites who dominate politics, media and culture do not care what the people think, expressed through the ballot box or their elected state legislators. And if “We the People’s” votes do not count, then We live not in freedom but under tyranny.
The notion that nine men and women in black robes know more about what constitutes marriage than 76 percent of Oklahoma’s voters is insulting and preposterous. Now is the time for civil disobedience on a massive scale: we hope that statesmen and citizens alike–in Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Indiana, Utah and Virginia—indeed, any state where the people’s will has been robbed by elitist judges—will reassert their state sovereignty against escalating judicial supremacy.
From a moral and spiritual perspective, no court or government action can—to quote from the ill-informed ruling by Appeals Court Judge Richard Posner–“confer respectability on a sexual relationship” between two people of the same sex. Homosexual activists yearn to be told that their defining sin is not a sin at all—and legalizing genderless “marriage” is their holy grail to achieve that end. “Love is love,” we are told, or rather scolded. But God is not mocked: the Scriptures are clear that homosexual practice is an offense against both God and the very bodies of those who practice it (as is all sexual immorality).
The truly loving thing for Christians to do is not to “bless” same-sex relationships but to guide men and women caught up in false homosexual identities to the One, Jesus, who will forgive them and guide them to a life pleasing to God.
Janet Mefferd and Peter LaBarbera Discuss HRC’s ‘Export of Hate’ Smear-Report – GLAAD Activist Jeremy Hooper Distorts Interview

Folks, here is the link for my September 26 interview with Christian Salem Radio talk show host Janet Mefferd [Click HERE to listen]. We discussed the Human Rights Campaign’s vicious “Export of Hate” report that smeared me and others in the pro-family movement as dark figures spreading “hate” around the world. In the interview I compared our treatment at the hands of “gay” propagandists to the Nazis’ dehumanization and demonization of Jews.
To make me look extreme, “gay” activist Jeremy Hooper of the powerful homosexual media advocacy group GLAAD absurdly extrapolated from my quotes in the interview to suggest that I was claiming (literally) that pro-family conservatives could expect to be victims of genocide, etc., identical to the Jews. Jeremy’s analytical skills are wanting to say the least–and he mischievously didn’t even include a reference or link to the actual HRC report with its obviously demonizing and dehumanizing graphics–which, after all, was the entire subject of our interview! [See Hooper’s sophomoric and dishonest GLAAD post HERE.]
MALIGNING PEOPLE OF FAITH: This dehumanizing graphic (of AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera) by the homosexual lobby group Human Rights Campaign in its nasty “Export of Hate” report was the subject of the Janet Mefferd interview.
I tried to explain on Twitter to Hooper that I was referring to Nazi propaganda that dehumanized Jews, e.g., portraying them as rats, but he would have none of it. Then I asked Mefferd for her response to Hooper’s exaggerated take on our interview, and she responded in an email to me below:
“You clearly made the comparison ONLY in the context of “demonization,” not — by the wildest stretch — in the context of forced incarceration and/or genocide [like the Jews under Hitler]. It would be interesting to have read Jeremy’s analysis about the HRC report itself, but he doesn’t even mention it. And what is that report, if not the intentional demonization of Christian leaders who are standing up for marriage? The crux of the problem is that Jeremy approves of what the HRC wrote, while Christians don’t. Why not just address that subject directly, minus the pejoratives?”

Judge Richard Posner Ignores Empirical Evidence of Ex-‘Gays,’ Wrongly Calls Homosexuality ‘Immutable’

UNINFORMED: Judge Richard Posner needs to meet some EX-“gays.”

It is no small thing to accuse renowned legal scholar Richard Posner, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and author of a recent controversial ruling in favor of homosexual “marriage,” of being ignorant—but it appears that is the case when it comes to Posner’s assertion that homosexuality is “immutable.”
It has been said of the prolific Posner, author of nearly 40 books, that he ”writes the way other men breathe,” but apparently the judge has never breathed in the wonderful reality that many men and women have overcome the destructive pull of homosexuality in their lives. Posner writes in the Appeals Court decision September 4 striking down Wisconsin’s and Indiana’s pro-traditional marriage laws:
“The challenged laws discriminate against a minority defined by an immutable characteristic…And there is little doubt that sexual orientation, the ground of the [anti-“gay marriage”] discrimination, is an immutable (and probably an innate, in the sense of in-born) characteristic rather than a choice” [pages 7, 9]
Such simplistic and unproven assertions cover over a multitude of politically incorrect facts and nuances that contradict the “gay” activist claim that “sexual orientation”–itself a tendentious social construct–is inborn, innocuous and unchangeable. This false narrative conveniently serves homosexual activists who insist theirs is a “civil rights” movement akin to Black Americans’ noble struggle for equality.

Larry Kramer: ‘Gay People Are Better (and Smarter) than Other People’

File this quotation by radical “gay” activist Larry Kramer under “Gay Pride on Steroids.” One obvious question that comes to mind is, if homosexuality-practicing people are so much smarter and more aware than the rest of us poor, normal, hetero types, then why do they engage in, tolerate and even celebrate sexual behaviors that are extremely unhealthy, and which result in cutting short their (superior) lives? [See, for example, this 2011 CDC finding on the link between homosexual male sex and HIV.]
Or why, given his supposedly superior homosexual intelligence, does Kramer make grotesquely absurd statements like this, complaining: “No one writes that Ronald Reagan has been responsible for more deaths than Adolf Hitler” (The Tragedy of Today’s Gays, p. 30, citing Reagan’s alleged indifference to AIDS sufferers). Memo to Larry: Maybe no one writes that because it is a preposterous lie.
Kramer himself has earned considerable hostility among fellow homosexuals over the years by campaigning for “gay” men to stop being so promiscuous and for continuing to engage in condomless sodomy despite the heightened risk of STDs. Now again, as HIV and other sex-disease rates soar among “MSM” (men who have sex with other men), there remains a curious tolerance in the LGBT world for “barebacking” (condomless rectal sex), orgiastic “gay” bathhouses, and phone apps like Grindr that cater to men searching for casual, anonymous male sex partners.
