Stoning Homosexuals: Which Is The Real Voice of Hatred?September 15th, 2006By Peter LaBarbera Christians are called “haters,” “bigots,” “homophobes,” and worse simply for proclaiming God’s Word to homosexuals (for the best defense of Christian orthodoxy on homosexuality, see Rob Gagnon’s brilliant website). As believers, our most fervent hope and prayer is that those tempted to embrace homosexual attractions would recognize that they are not inherently “gay” and find spiritual healing and salvation through the resurrected Christ — an intent which, while offensive to those not inclined to hear, cannot fairly be described as “hatred.” Many men and women who once considered themselves “gay” or “lesbian” have embraced the path of change and overcome the pull of homosexuality in their lives. See Stephen Bennett’s heartwarming story HERE and Linda Jernigan’s wonderful testimony HERE. Some people have changed through secular therapy (see NARTH’s website), but it seems the more typical story in the United States is people overcoming homosexuality with the help of God through Jesus Christ. Perhaps the citation below of a radical Islamic book’s prescription for treating homosexuals (dropping them from a building and then stoning them) will shed light on the superiority of Biblical “tough love” (oppose sinful behavior while extending forgiveness through Christ). We at Americans For Truth condemn in no uncertain terms all violence and hatred directed at homosexuals. The same God who rescues people from bondage to any number of sinful inclinations can rescue those who are caught up in homosexuality–and has countless times, despite the vain efforts of fanatical “gay” activists like Wayne Besen who strive to show that “sexual orientation” (an unbiblical construct) is unchangeable. While contemplating what this Islamic book recommends, consider also the contemptuous and ridiculous statement of Rosie O’Donnell, who said on ABC’s The View on the anniversary of 9/11:
—————————— The following is excerpted from Official OK with Islamic law in Netherlands, published Sept 13, 2006, by WorldNet Daily: …As WND reported in 2004, [Netherlands’ Justice Minister Piet Hein] Donner hasn’t always been open to every aspect of Muslim culture. He joined with [Dutch Integration Minister Rita] Verdonk in banning a Muslim book [”The Way of the Muslim”] distributed by the Dutch Lel Tawheed mosque condoning the stoning of homosexuals, female circumcision and the beating of wives.
Listen to CWA Interview with Peter LaBarberaSeptember 15th, 2006Dr. Michael Campion, a psychologist who for years has provided screening services for police departments in the Midwest region, was recently suspended by the Minneapolis Police Department. The apparent reason for Dr. Campion’s suspension: he is a Christian and served on the board of the Illinois Family Institute (IFI), which one liberal newspaper called “an anti-choice and anti-gay organization.” Martha Kleder has more on this story with Peter LaBarbera, spokesman and former Executive Director for IFI and President of Americans for Truth. You will also here more about FOX News and Walmart‘s support of a homosexual activist group, the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. Click HERE to listen. Five More Reasons to Get Your Kid OFF MySpace.comSeptember 14th, 2006Nearly every junior high and high school student I know has a profile on MySpace.com. Parents, if you don’t understand what MySpace.com is really about, you need to learn (perhaps by attending i-safe training, as I did at my local police department) and then get your child’s profile OFF MySpace (and/or similar sites). If you don’t believe me, maybe you’ll believe this advice from homosexual author Josh K. of the “Josh & Josh” blog. — Sonja Dalton
Plaintiff in Texas Sodomy Case Dead at Only 39 Years of AgeSeptember 13th, 2006Another tragic and untimely homosexual death:
(Also see Tyrone Garner, Plaintiff In Landmark Gay Rights Case Dies and Lawrence v. Texas plaintiff Tyrone Garner dies.) As of this writing, the cause of death has not been made public. Very sad. Update: The Houston Chronicle reports that Mr. Garner died early Monday morning at a Houston hospital, having suffered horribly from meningitis for months.
Twice Married, Now Homosexual: McGreevey’s Book Set To Launch with Oprah InterviewSeptember 13th, 2006AFT’s correction to the revisionist history below: James McGreevey was not elected governor of New Jersey as an openly homosexual man; he was elected as a (twice) married man with two children. Let’s not forget McGreevey’s now ex-wife, Dina Matos, and two innocent young children whose heartbreak is willfully omitted from thought by those celebrating McGreevey’s new “gay” life. – Sonja Dalton Excerpted from McGreevey Gay Gov. Book Set To Launch, published Sept 10, 2006, by Associated Press: James E. McGreevey, the first openly gay governor in U.S. history, is set to launch a month-long national book tour Tuesday with the taping of the Oprah Winfrey show. The show will be broadcast Sept. 19, the day McGreevey’s political memoir, “The Confession,” hits bookstores.

This story from Lifesite News (one of the best pro-family news sites in the world) well illustrates the danger of police and other law enforcement agencies sympathizing with and taking part in “gay pride” parades and other pro-homosexual activities: They become won over to the homosexual viewpoint, with disastrous consequences for Christians and freedom in general. The story below involves the arrest of Stephen Green, National Director for Christian Voice, a British Christian group. Green was passing a Christian leaflet, “Same-sex love, same-sex sex: what does the Bible say?” at a homosexual event in Cardiff, South Wales. To read Christian Voice’s own account of the arrest, click HERE. We hope homosexual activists in the United States would roundly condemn such blatant violations of religious liberty and free speech. Excerpt:
Christian Arrested for Distributing Bible Quotes Opposing Homosexuality The evangelical Christian had not behaved in a violent or aggressive manner By Gudrun Schultz SOUTH WALES, United Kingdom, September 7, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A prominent Christian leader arrested for passing out leaflets at a homosexual Mardi Gras festival was charged solely on the basis that the material presented views opposing homosexuality, the Daily Mail reported yesterday. Stephen Green, 55, national director of the evangelical organization Christian Voice, was arrested for handing leaflets entitled “Same-sex love – same-sex sex: What does the Bible say?” to festival goers attending the homosexual celebration held in Bute Park. Green was charged with using “threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior,” BBC News reported. South Wales Police admitted Mr. Green was arrested because the pamphlets contained Bible quotes condemning homosexual activity. A spokesman for the police confirmed the evangelical Christian had not behaved in a violent or aggressive manner, according to the Daily Mail, but said Mr. Green was arrested by the South Wales Minorities Support Unit because “the leaflet contained Biblical quotes about homosexuality.” Read the rest of this article » Your Red Cross Contributions May Go to Homosexual PartnersSeptember 11th, 2006An interesting statistic is inadvertently noted in this article: 22 of the 2880 tragically killed on Sept 11, 2001, are identified as having a homosexual partner. That is 0.75% — even if that figure were doubled or tripled, it is nowhere near the 10% figure that some homosexual activists still fraudulently cite to exaggerate their numbers and clout. Despite the small percentage, the Red Cross‘s capitulation to homosexual activist groups is troubling. Few Americans have any clue when they are giving to this charitable organization that their donation could help advance a larger agenda to radically redefine the family. At the very least, Red Cross officials should let the public know of their decision which undermines the primacy of marriage, albeit in the name of compassion. – Sonja Dalton The excerpt below is from an article in the Washington Blade, a homosexual newspaper, “Sept 11 Introduced US to Gay Families,” by Louis Chibbaro, Jr, published Sept 8, 2006 (emphasis added):
Will FOX News Balance Gift to Homosexual Journalists with Matching Grant to Pro-Family Group?September 8th, 2006AN AMERICANS FOR TRUTH PRESS RELEASE NAPERVILLE, Illinois—Americans for Truth is asking Fox News Channel to be “fair and balanced” by giving $10,000 to a conservative group to match its donation to a homosexual journalists’ organization whose leader recently compared pro-family critics of homosexuality to “white supremacists.” In a letter sent today to Fox News Channel President Roger Ailes—following FOX’s $10,000 sponsorship gift to the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) annual convention—AFT President Peter LaBarbera wrote:
The NLGJA bills itself as merely a professional organization for journalists, yet over the years its members have repeatedly suggested that covering “both sides” of homosexuality-related issues is like quoting the KKK on stories about race—a preposterous analogy especially considering that African Americans poll stronger against “gay marriage” than whites. NLGJA National President Eric Hegedus repeats the spurious white supremacist comparison on the NLGJA’s website:
Wal-Mart Corporation is also listed among the $10,000 sponsors of the NLGJA convention, which began yesterday and runs through the weekend in Miami. |
