Homosexual activist Wayne Besen — shown here shouting through a bullhorn into the window of a Boston church — which was hosting a meeting of ex-homosexuals — is curiously called upon by the media to discuss tolerance and “hate.” Many pro-family advocates see Besen as one of the most mean-spirited militants in the LGBT movement. Besen works closely with the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Dear AFTAH Readers,
God willing, the last few weeks could go down as a turning point in the struggle against the intolerant, aggressive — and often very hateful — Homosexual Lobby in America. First, as many of you know because you participated in it, Americans rallied by the hundreds of thousands behind Chick-fil-A in what I’m calling the first national repudiation of pro-“gay” political correctness in a long time. Then, those of us whose news was not filtered by the liberal media [see this report by Media Research Center] learned of the anti-Christian (politically motivated) “hate crime” at the Family Research Council — which might have been a bloodbath had hero Leo Johnson not stopped “gay” activist Floyd Corkins from going on a shooting spree.
I used to work at FRC, in the same building at 8th & G Streets NW, in Washington, D.C., where gunman Corkins walked in carrying 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches and 50 rounds of ammunition. It lends a whole new meaning to the term “Culture War” to realize that people you know — wonderful Christian advocates like Peter Sprigg [interviewed recently by AFTAH: see Part 1; Part 2; and Part 3]– could have lost their lives at the hands of a sexually-confused, homicidal hatemonger. (Corkins volunteered at a D.C. “gay” center — a fact conveniently left out in some major media reports of the attack.)
As you can imagine, this story hits close to home for those of us engaged in cultural battle against self-styled “queer” militants. Just last October, AFTAH, Christian Liberty Academy, and our pro-family honoree Scott Lively were targeted with a brazen brick attack by pro-homosexual activists, accompanied by a bizarre, al Qaeda-like threatening manifesto published on a left-wing Chicago website. But what happened at FRC takes it up a notch and shows the truly dangerous implications of the Gay Lobby’s fanatical propaganda campaign to redefine historic, Judeo-Christian sexual morality as “hate.” Of course, Floyd Corkins is responsible for this crime, but homosexual activists, the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), and the “gay”-cheerleading media are responsible for indulging a preposterous and evil narrative that equates Christian pro-family groups like FRC and AFTAH with racist fringe groups like the KKK.
Threaten future attacks if “homophobic” events at CLA do not stop; police do not treat as “hate crime”
WARNING: vulgar language on graphic
Hate-note sent by pro-homosexual militant that accompanied stone brick pavers thrown through the glass doors at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Illinois -- in a failed effort to intimidate CLA from hosting an Americans For Truth banquet. ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Illinois, Oct. 19, 2011 — Pro-homosexual activists attacked the Christian Liberty Academy early October 15th — throwing two large, concrete brick pavers through its glass doors with a hate-note attached– and then issued an online statement claiming responsibility for the crime. The attackers demanded that CLA “shut down” a banquet it was hosting later that evening for the “homophobic hate group,” Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH). But their main target was pro-family veteran Scott Lively, who was honored at the event.
“This is just a sample of what we will do if you don’t shut down Scott Lively and AFTAH … [F**k] Scott Lively. Quit the homophobic [sh*t]!” read the note that accompanied the bricks thrown through CLA’s doors. The apparent “hate crime” against CLA did not deter the Christian school from hosting the banquet for AFTAH, which presented its 2011 “American Truth Teller” award to Lively, founder of Defend the Family International and the author of “The Pink Swastika.”
Brick paver thrown the window of Christian Liberty Academy, with message, "Shut Down Lively." Pro-family veteran Scott Lively received AFTAH's 2011 "American Truth Teller" award.
Lively was targeted in the online statement for allegedly condoning violence against homosexuals in Uganda. (This is a false charge: Lively, like AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera, condemns all violence and genuine hatred against homosexuals.) The following excerpt is from the statement posted on the leftist Chicago Independent Media Center website:
“These chunks of concrete were thrown through these windows and doors for two reasons: to show that there is a consequence for hatred and homophobia in our community and to directly cause this event to be shut down. If this event is not shut down, and the homophobic day trainings do not end, the Christian liberty academy will continue to be under constant attack.”
‘Gay’ “Bullying Tactics” won’t dissuade marriage defenders, says TFP leader
Pro-homosexual "marriage" activist attacks TFP banner that proclaimed marriage as it truly is: between a man and a woman. TFP members shouted "Aggressor!" as the assailant did his dirty deed. Later, a TFP member was hit in the head by a beer bottle thrown from a car passing by.
Folks, we’ve seen this nasty brand of homosexual bullying and intolerance so often that we’re no longer shocked by it. Watch the TFP Student Action video as peaceful TFP members shout “Aggressor!” as this troubled man walks up and destroys their banner, in Fairport, New York. Imagine if a bunch of pro-family activists did this to a pro-“gay banner” banner! (CBS, ABC, NBC, and CNN would be lining up to tell the story.) TFP is a Catholic group that has done yeoman’s work standing up for real marriage across the nation. Watch the TFP Student Action video at their website HERE. — Peter LaBarbera,. www.aftah.org

As young TFP volunteers stood at the corner of Main Street and Church Street with signs, a pro-homosexualist hurled himself against the group’s thirteen foot long banner inscribed with “God’s Marriage = 1 Man & 1 Woman.” The banner, held by three volunteers, was knocked down and violently torn to pieces.
January hack-attack infected AFTAH’s search engine
Server notice announcing suspension of AFTAH's website Wed. morning; a previous hack-attack appears to have caused the problem.
Americans For Truth About Homosexuality’s website was suspended earlier today — due to our exceeding server usage limits, apparently as a result of a hack-attack against AFTAH back in January. The January cyber-sabotage infected our Search engine, which went haywire and which has now been disabled until we find a solution.
It appears that today’s stoppage was not directly caused by a new round of hacking, but that possibility still exists. AFTAH is opposed daily by some of the most hateful and extremist “gay” websites on the planet (all in the name of “tolerance,” mind you), so there are plenty of militants who would love to shut us down. And we believe that — God help us — if they ever got the power, many self-avowed “queer” activists would support using the Government to do so.
A relatively new person on the victim list is Julea Ward, a graduate student at Eastern Michigan University’s (EMU) School of Counseling who was expelled from the program because she said that as a counselor she could not affirm a client’s homosexual relationship due to her belief in Jesus Christ and biblical morality. Ward is being helped by Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), a Christian legal defense group. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org. This is an ADF video:

The following is an edited version of the informational background accompanying a YouTube video showing the aftermath of a homosexual mob attack — including an alleged sexual assault — on a group of Christians that come to San Francisco’s Castro district every Friday to witness the Gospel. As the original note says, “This video was not posted by any member of the group in the video. However, below is an account [by] one of the team members who was there.”
This mob assault occurred following the passage of Proposition 8 restoring traditional marriage in California. Homosexual activists are deriding the successful ballot measure as “Prop H8” (hate) — but look at the hatred on display below in what is supposedly America’s most “tolerant” city. This criminal assault is also significant in that “gay” activists routinely charge Christians and pro-family groups — and most recently Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family — with fomenting “hate violence.” Clearly, “hate violence” and threats committed by vengeful homosexual militants against religious people and churches is on the rise following California’s electoral repudiation of “gay marriage” on November 4th. — Peter LaBarbera. www.aftah.org
The Eye-witness account of the incident is posted beneath the YouTube video:
Posted November 14, 2008
Eye-witness account by posted with YouTube video by member of Christian group:
I went to the Castro (the homosexual district of San Francisco) like we usually do on Friday nights.
Normally, we sit on 18th and Castro, and someone plays the guitar, and we all worship God.
Sometimes a person will yell at us, or maybe a few. Sometimes people will ignore us. Sometimes people will let us pray with them.
This time was not a normal night. It was the first time we’d been back in the Castro to do our normal outreach since California Proposition 8, which defined marriage as “one man with one woman,” was passed. We played the guitar and sang together and worshiped the Lord. After just singing and worshiping God for a while, Roger decided that we should all hold hands in a circle and continue singing. So we did.
Someone (actually a person who came up and hugged and kissed some of us whom he knew from the past) convinced some people that we were there to protest against the “No on 8” campaign.
Vandals For ‘Gay Marriage’? California family that supports the Proposition 8 amendment — reinstating the natural definition of marriage as between a man and a woman — poses beside their car, which was vandalized by “No on 8” activists. The family was targeted for their beliefs. Click HERE to watch a Protect Marriage video describing the hateful acts and slanders committed by pro-homosexual “No on 8” activists.
Dear Americans For Truth Reader,
Please go to the California “Protect Marriage” website and view their compelling video on the desperation of “No on 8” forces trying to derail the proposed constitutional amendment to preserve the natural definition of marriage as one-man, one-woman.
Note the hypocrisy of the “gay marriage” forces — you know, the ones who like to lecture the rest of us on “tolerance.” Come to think of it, it looks like the “No on 8” activists could use some diversity training.
Seriously, it is imperative that California citizens VOTE TODAY on this critically important issue and urge your friends to do likewise! Ditto for voters in Florida and Arizona who also have the opportunity to preserve and protect natural marriage at the ballot box. (Florida’s amendment requires a 60-percent “Yes” vote.)
To everyone else outside those states the message is the same: please vote today, and do not let the liberal media decide this election. If you are in the western half of the country, please do not even consider not voting — even if you have heard that exit polls on the eastern half of the country are running against your candidate or your preferred party! Your vote counts — not just for deciding who will be our next president, but for deciding a host of local races and the composition of the United States House and Senate.
Again, I urge you: don’t throw your vote away by failing to show up on Election Day! America’s fighting men have given their lives to guarantee the freedom to vote for Iraqis in that far away land. Let’s not dishonor their sacrifice by failing to exercise our same precious right here in America. God bless you. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

Below is a letter from California Proposition 8’s campaign manager, Frank Shubert:
Dear Friend,
With every recent poll showing Proposition 8 slightly leading or surging with support, our opponents are growing increasingly desperate.
They have aired two new commercials this weekend that are nothing short of shameful. In one, they compare people who believe in traditional marriage to those responsible for the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. And in another they call backers of traditional marriage, “intolerant” and “offensive.”
Did you ever dream that because you believe marriage is between a man and a woman you’d be called “intolerant,” “offensive” and have it suggested you are racist to boot?
Do the tactics of our opponents anger you? They anger me. But let’s not lash out. Let’s use this as motivation to maximize our get-out-the-vote efforts so that we send a powerful message on Tuesday: Proposition 8 will pass because traditional marriage matters.
