LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Liberty University’s Matt Barber on SPLC Connection to FRC Shooting

August 25th, 2012

Kirkwood, LaBarbera discuss victim-mongering behind latest FAKE homosexual “hate crime”

This is a copy of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s spurious online “Hate Map” listing for the District of Columbia. Note the inclusion of Family Research Council and Traditional Values Coalition on the list. The graphic for the “Hate Map” is a photo of what appears to be neo-Nazis with one giving a Heil Hitler salute. After police arrested “gay” activist Floyd Corkins for shooting  a staffer at FRC, they reportedly learned that he also had TVC’s address on his person, as a potential second target. It is highly likely that Corkins got his “hit list” from the SPLC’s devious and politically skewed “hate” listings.

We return to our AFTAH Hour podcast with this interview [click HERE to listen] with Matt Barber, conservative columnist, AFTAH Board Member and Associate Dean and Liberty University School of Law.  (This show was taped August 23-24.) Barber, AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and co-host John Kirkwood (pastor at Grace Gospel Fellowship Church in Bensenville, IL) discuss the shooting at Family Research Council (FRC) by reported “gay” advocate Floyd Corkins. Barber and LaBarbera note the linkage to the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which famously has labeled FRC, AFTAH and other pro-family organizations “hate groups” to diminish their credibility and influence in society. (In the wake of the shootking, Barber calls the preposterous SPLC designation a “Hit List.”) Now it has been reported that Corkins might also have targeted Traditional Values Coalition— a much lesser-known pro-family group that just happens to be on the same SPLC “hate group” list for the D.C. area as FRC.

In the second half hour, LaBarbera and Kirkwood discuss a fake lesbian “hate crime” in Nebraska that’s getting lots of attention, and also the recent “kitchen table debate” betweetn National Organization for Marriage President Brian Brown and homosexual militant and cyber-hater Dan Savage. Kirkwood says it was foolish for Brown to agree to the debate at Savage’s home, because it only lends credibility to Savage. Kirkwood and LaBarbera note that Brown did not bring up some of Savage’s more notorious and extreme statements (e.g., his own personal involvement in sexual “three-ways”), and Kirkwood says the event almost comes off as an “infomercial for Savage.”

AFTAH Interviews Professor Rena Lindevaldsen on DOMA, Openly Homosexual Judges – Part Two

July 27th, 2012

This is Part Two of our (second) in-depth interview with Prof. Rena Lindevaldsen [click HERE to listen], a professor at Liberty University School of Law and Associate Dean of the Liberty Center for Law and Policy. This interview was recorded July 26, 2012. AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and co-host John Kirkwood discuss with Lindevaldsen the liberal metamorphosis of American law from being used to promote virtue to its present use to promote vice (including homosexuality). There is further discussion from last week’s interview of the implications of an openly homosexual judge, Sophia Hall, presiding over case involving 25 homosexual couples challenging Illinois’ law defining marriage as it is: between a man and a woman. Lindevaldsen reiterates that Judge Hall has a clear conflict of interest and should recuse herself from the case.

There is also a brief discussion of Sally Ride, the first female astronaut, whose passing away prompted some homosexual activists to stress that she was a lesbian. LaBarbera speculates that there will be an effort to teach about Ride as a homosexual “hero” in future “Gay History Month” celebrations — including in schools. He said that while Ride’s groundbreaking achievements have earned her a place in history, her homosexuality should not be lauded nor made the focus of her life story. See Part One of AFTAH’s interview with Prof. Lindevaldsen HERE.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Liberty University Law Professor Rena Lindevaldsen on Chicago ‘Gay Marriage’ Court Case – Part One

July 24th, 2012

Prof. Rena Lindevaldsen

This is Part One of AFTAH’s second interview with Prof. Rena Lindevaldsen [click HERE to listen], Associate Dean at Liberty University School of Law, based in Lynchburg, Va. This interview with AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and Pastor John Kirkwood of Grace Gospel Fellowship church in Bensenville, Illinois, was recorded July 19, 2012. Lindevaldsen discusses the homosexual/ACLU lawsuit in Illinois contending that the state’s law defining marriage as between one man and one woman is unconstitutional. She opines that the presiding judge, Cook County Circuit Judge Sophia Hall, an open lesbian and member of a homosexual judges group, should recuse herself from the case due to an obvious conflict-of-interest. Lindevaldsen is the author of Only One Mommy: A Woman’s Battle for her Life, Her Daughter and her Freedom,” the story of ex-lesbian-turned-Christian Lisa Miller’s quest to keep custody of her biological daughter, Isabella, and to deny custody to her former lesbian partner.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Brian Camenker of MassResistance on Adam Flanders’ Legal Harassment, Chicago Lesbian Judge Sophia Hall

July 22nd, 2012

Brian Camenker (above) is being sued for $1 million by Maine homosexual and Registered Sex Offender Adam Flanders.

This interview [Click HERE to listen] with Brian Camenker of MassResistance was conducted July 12, 2012. We discuss the bizarre legal antics of Maine homosexual Adam Flanders, who is suing Camenker for $1 million for alleged “defamation,” in part because Camender and MR refused to take down from their website an open letter that Flanders wrote in 2007 exposing predatory sexual misconduct at a “gay youth” center in Belfast, Maine. Camenker and AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera (and co-host John Kirkwood) also discuss Illinois homosexual lawsuits to overturn that state’s law defining marriage for what it is: one man, one woman. Camenker comments on AFTAH’s reporting that the judge ruling on the “gay” and ACLU lawuits, Cook County Circuit Judge Sophia Hall, is an open lesbian and member of a homosexual judges group that advocates for homosexuals.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Family Research Council’s Peter Sprigg – Part Three

June 30th, 2012

Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council.

This is the third and final part of AFTAH’s interview with Peter Sprigg, the Family Research Council’s top expert on the homosexual agenda. This interview [click HERE to listen] was recorded Thursday, June 28, 2012. AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and John Kirkwood of Grace Gospel Fellowship Church in Bensenville, Illinois, spend much of the program discussing Sprigg’s excellent brochure, “The Top Ten Myths About Homosexuality.” — including a section on the “born gay” myth and his “Myth Number 8: Homosexuals are no more likely to molest children than heterosexuals.” Note: you can listen to Part One of the Sprigg interview HERE and Part Two HERE.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews FRC’s Peter Sprigg – Part Two

June 24th, 2012

The following is Part Two of our interview with Peter Sprigg [click HERE to listen], Senior Fellow in Policy Studies at the Family Research Council. This was recorded June 21, 2012. [Go HERE for Part One and HERE for the archive section containing all AFTAH interviews.] Sprigg goes into further analysis of the Mark Regnerus study on homosexual parenting. He and AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and Grace Gospel Fellowship pastor John Kirkwood also discuss the radical decision by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan not to defend the state’s marriage law.

CORRECTION note from program: In the beginning of this interview, there is a discussion of egregious, pro-homosexual media bias, focusing on CNN’s Soledad O’Brien. In the first of two CNN clips, we play O’Brien interviewing Dr. Fred Luter, the new — and first African American — president of the Southern Baptist Convention. LaBarbera mistakenly attributes a quote by libertarian Republican Margaret Hoover, another guest on the progam, to O’Brian. As you can see from the CNN clip HERE, it is Hoover, not O’Brien, who refers to homosexuality (“inclusiveness of gay Americans”) as “a new civil rights issue.” Then O’Brien condescendingly instructs Luter that his position on homosexual “marriage” puts him in “direct opposition to President Obama.” We apologize for the error.

June 15th, 2012

This is Part One of a three-part interview with Peter Sprigg [click HERE to listen], Senior Fellow for Policy Studies at the Family Research Council. This podcast was recorded June 14, 2012. Sprigg is the author of “Outrage: How Gay Activists and Liberal Judges Are Trashing Democracy to Redefine Marriage” (Regnery, 2004), and is co-editor of the FRC book “Getting It Straight: What the Research Shows about Homosexuality.” The bulk of this interview deals with the new study on homosexual parenting” by University of Texas scholar Mark Regnerus, appearing in the journal Social Science Research (June 10, 2012). The study found dramatic differences between children raised in normal, mom-and-dad families and those raised in lesbian-led households. AFTAH Interviews Spanish Pro-Family Activist Ignacio Arsuaga of Hazte-Oir

June 6th, 2012

Ignacio Arsuaga of the Spanish pro-family group Hazte-Oir ("Speak Out"), which hosted the highly successful World Congress of Families VI conference in Madrid.

AFTAH’s Peter LaBarbera and Pastor John Kirkwood interview Ignacia Arsuaga [click HERE to listen], founder and president of the Spanish pro-family/pro-life group Hazte-Oir (roughly translated, “Speak Out”). Hazte-Oir did an outstanding job as the main local host joining with the Rockford, Illinois-based Howard Center to put on the World Congress of Families VI conference late May in Madrid. It drew more than 3,000 attendees, including representatives from Americans For Truth and 130 other pro-family groups from across the globe. This interview occurred May 31, 2012. Arsuaga discusses the failed pressure campaign by homosexual and leftist activists against the conference, and also how Madrid’s homosexual lobby targed Catholic Bishop Juan Antonio Reig Plà (of the diocese of Alcalá de Henares), after Reig Plà included homosexual behavior among other sins that war against the soul in a homily. Hazte-Oir and its followers rallied to support of Reig Pia, who received a standing ovation at the WCF conference. Arsuago, speaking here in his second language, English, discusses the state of the pro-family movement in Spain, and how his organizations mobilizes young people to stand for truth in the Culture War.

June 6th, 2012

Wooden responds to CNN host Don Lemon calling opponents of homosexual “marriage” “sexual rednecks”…

North Carolina pastor Patrick Wooden, here being interviewed following AFTAH's press conference exposing the Southern Poverty Law Center's politicized "hate" agenda.

The following is Part Two of AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera’s interview with Patrick Wooden [click HERE to listen], a key leader in the successful effort in North Carolina to pass a constitutional amendment affirming natural marriage (one-man, one-woman). This interview was conducted May 17, 2012; we apologize for the delays in posting it. Wooden, senior pastor at Upper Room Church of God in Christ, in Raleigh, N.C., discusses the “lies” used by pro-homosexual acitivists in his state to distort the effect of the Marriage Amendment, part of an “emotional strategy” aimed at discrediting it. Joining LaBarbera is John Kirkwood, pastor of Grace Gospel Fellowship Church in Bensenville, Illinois. Wooden responds to a tendentious segment by CNN host (and pederasty victim) Don Lemon comparing opponents of homosexual “marriage” to the late Alabama governor and segregationist George Wallace (and saying that Blacks and people defending traditional marriage risk being seen as “sexual rednecks”).

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews North Carolina’s Patrick Wooden on Passage of North Carolina Marriage Amendment, Part One

May 23rd, 2012

Says Obama has come full circle by returning to early support of homosexual “marriage”

Patrick Wooden spoke across the state of North Carolina in support of the Marriage Amendment, which passed by 61-39 on May 8, 2012.

This is the first of a two-part interview with Raleigh pastor Patrick Wooden on the landslide passage of the North Carolina Marriage Amendment May 8, 2012 [click HERE to listen]. This interview was recorded May 10, 2012, and aired on WYLL-Chicago (AM 1160) May 12th. Joining the interview with AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera is John Kirkwood, pastor of Grace Gospel Fellowship in Bensenville, Illinois. (Beginning in June, AFTAH’s weekly radio broadcast will be transitioning to a weekly podcast, hosted by LaBarbera and Kirkwood; all programs will be archived on the Americans  For Truth website, where most listeners have heard the show.)

Wooden, pastor of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ Church in Raleigh, discusses how homosexual activists sought to confuse North Carolina voters on the Marriage Amendment, which passed by a 61-39 percent margin. He said many citizens had not even read the Marriage Amendment language, which in its simplicity would expose the “outright lies” of the opposition in exaggerating its effect of the amendement in the state. He also discusses President Barack Obama’s capitulation on the homosexual “marriage” issue–which he says is contradictory to Obama’s professed Christian faith. This interview was pre-recorded in WYLL’s studios in Chicago April 4, 2012 and aired on WYLL April 21st. Contrada and Camenker discuss the growth of the “gay youth” agenda in Boston and the use of “anti-bullying” legislation to stifle free speech in schools. They also discusses how wealthy Republicans led by Paul Singer (a major backer of Mitt Romney) funded the pro-homosexual “marriage” effort in New York.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Barb Anderson and Laurie Higgins – Part Two – and More Awful Homosexual Hate

April 25th, 2012
HOMOSEXUAL HATE: New York City homosexual activist Scott Rose created this nasty, infantile graphic demonizing Parents Action League President Laurie Thompson. The text underneath the graphic — showing feces coming out of her forehead — is Rose’s, and typical of the rest of the tirade on his blog, “AntiGayBigotryScaresMe.” Click on graphic to enlarge.

WARNING: Offensive Language

This is Part Two of my interview [click HERE to listen] with Barb Anderson of Parents Action League and Laurie Higgins of Illinois Family Institute. This discussion was pre-taped in early April and aired April 21, 2012. Note that beginning May 1, the new time for hearing the AFTAH Radio Hour live on WYLL-AM-1160 in Chicagoland is every Saturday at midnight (one hour later than the usual time). Anderson describes the incredibly nasty attacks (see graphic at right) on pro-family advocates concerned about the promotion of homosexual behavior in Anoka-Hennepin schools (outside Minneapolis). She and Higgins discuss how the Southern Poverty Law Center has named Parents Action League a “hate group,” and how a “hit-piece” in Rolling Stone magazine promoted the falsehood that a rash a local youth suicides was tied directly to “anti-gay bullying” (an assertion debunked by Anoka-Hennepin school district officials). Anderson discusses how the school district ultimately settled lawsuits brought by the SPLC and the Obama Administration— which she says will accelerate pro-homosexuality propaganda in schools.

April 17th, 2012

Higgins guides parents on how to pull child from activist schools on Friday, April 20th

Barb Anderson of the Parents Action League.

This is Part One of our interview [click HERE] with Barb Anderson of the Minneapolis-based Parents Action League and Laurie Higgins of Illinois Family Institute. (This pre-recorded interview aired April 14, 2012.) The discussion centers on the upcoming, annual homosexual activist event in schools known as the “Day of Silence” (this Friday, April 20th). Higgins urges a “walkout” of the Day of Silence and guides parents on the proper questions to ask when calling their child’s school. For more information on the Day of Silence Walkout (endorsed by Americans For Truth and other pro-family groups), go HERE. Each child pulled from a school that is encouraging this pro-homosexual event — which disrupts the learning of non-participating students — costs the school money because school funds are allocated based on attendance.

Anderson also discusses the escalating LGBT campaign against the Anoka-Hennepin school district, outside Minneapolis, in which outside forces — including the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center and the Obama Administration — are using the “anti-bullying” rally cry to force an intrusive and one-sided pro-homosexual program into district schools.

AFTAH Interviews Christian Activist Steve Noble on North Carolina Marriage Amendment

April 12th, 2012

North Carolina Christian activist Steve Noble is guardedly optimistic about the upcoming May 8 vote in his state on the Marriage Amendment. He tells how he got active in pro-family advocacy in his book, "The Making of a Christian Wacko."

After a brief hiatus, Americans For Truth Radio is back featuring in-depth interviews with front-line, pro-family activists. This interview [click HERE to listen] by AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera is with Steve Noble, a Christian activist and talk show host in Raleigh, North Carolina. This was pre-taped and aired on WYLL-Chicago (1160 AM) April 7, 2012. Noble hosts a daily talk show, “Called2Action,” on 1030 AM Truth Radio in Raleigh (4:00 PM Eastern). Steve discusses the upcoming May 8 vote in North Carolina for the Marriage Amendment — which if passed would codify in the state’s constitution the preservation of marriage as one-man, one-woman. He notes how North Carolina’s homosexual activists are not affirming theirright to “marry,” but rather throwing up disinformation against the Amendment.

On April 2, Noble interviewed LaBarbera on his program on the same subject [go HERE to the archive page and download the April 2nd podcast: “A ‘Gay Marriage’ North Carolina?”]. Noble is also the author of, “The Making of a Christian Wacko,” about his path to becoming a Christian pro-family activist. You can order the book HERE.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Massachusetts Author Amy Contrada – Part Two

March 20th, 2012
Author Amy Contrada has documented Mitt Romney’s pro-“gay” record in Massachusetts. Gov. Romney was called “the missing governor” due to his inaction against the Massachusetts high court’s imposition of homosexual “marriage” on the state.

This is Part Two of my interview with Amy Contrada [click HERE to listen], author of “Mitt Romney’s Deception: His Stealth Promotion of ‘Gay Rights’ and ‘Gay Marriage’ in Massachusetts.” It was pre-recorded and aired March 10, 2012. [Listen to Part One HERE.] Contrada is a blogger and researcher for Mass Resistance, the leading organization standing against the homosexual-bisexual-transgender agenda in Massachusetts. Contrada discusses then-Gov. Mitt Romney’s tepid response to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s Goodridge decision imposing homosexal “marriage” on the state. She notes in 2010 she learned that Gov. Romney’s one-time senior legal advisor, Dan Winslow, was later supported in his run for political office by Massachusetts’ homosexual lobby (see this revealiing “gay” post) — precisely because he had backed the Goodridge decision as an aide to Romney. Contrada said Winslow helped craft the newfangled “Party A/Party B” “marriage” licenses, which Romney issued to the great consternation of pro-family advocates at the time.

This Part One of of a multiple-part interview with Amy Contrada [click HERE to listen] writer with the pro-family group Mass Resistance and author of “Mitt Romney’s Deception: His Stealth Promotion of ‘Gay Rights’ and ‘Gay Marriage’ in Massachusetts.” This interview was pre-recorded on Feb. 23rd and aired on WYLL-Chicago March 3, 2012. AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and Contrada discuss how Massachusetts and especially Boston became “Ground Zero” in the liberal push to normalize homosexual and gender-confused identities to youth. They also describe then-Gov. Mitt Romney’s support for a taxpayer-funded governor’s “gay youth” commission — which sponsored an annual “gay youth pride” parade and celebration that included radical adult homosexual and transgender activists (e.g., a cross-dressing man who heads the Boston Alliance for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth (BAGLY). Contrada has also authored two smaller e-books on Romney and his record, available at www.amycontrada.com.

Pro-life/pro-family advocate Jim Finnegan has fought long and hard in Illinois for "Choose Life" specialty license plates, which would raise funds for adoption. Democratic politicians, influenced by pro-abortion lobbyists, have stalled the plates for years.

This is Part One of AFTAH’s interview [listen HERE] with Jim Finnegan, a longtime pro-life and pro-family Catholic advocate in the Chicago area who is active with Defend Marriage Illinois. Finnegan is also leading the campaign for “Choose Life” specialty license plates in Illinois — thwarted for years by liberal Democrats. This interview was pre-recorded and aired February 18, 2012. Finnegan and AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera discuss the radical group Gay Liberation Network’s ongoing attacks on Cardinal Francis George, due to George’s and the Catholic Church’s opposition to homosexual “marriage” and homosexual acts.

LaBarbera describes the GLN’s hateful protest Feb. 12, 2012, directly in front of Chicago’s Holy Name Cathedral, with signs mocking George as “Archbigot.” He also notes GLN’s refusal to condemn a pro-homosexual brick attack against a Christian school hosting AFTAH’s October 2011 banquet — and says that if he had refused to condemn such an assault on a homosexual group he would legitimately be called a “hater.” (See AFTAH report on GLN’s record of hate HERE.) Both men discuss a newly introduced “same-sex marriage” bill [more info HERE] introduced by three openly homosexual Illinois legislators — and how House Speaker Mike Madigan (himself a “Catholic”) has blocked pro-family bills in Springfield while allowing pro-homosexual bills to be considered.

AFTAH Interview with Pastor Patrick Wooden – Part Five – Discusses NAACP, Al Sharpton and Obama Backing ‘Gay’ Agenda

February 13th, 2012

Slams Al Sharpton for endorsing “gay marriage,” says Obama’s promotion of homosexualist agenda shows he “is not a Christian”

North Carolina pastor Patrick Wooden is interviewed by a local TV reporter in Montgomery, Alabama, following AFTAH’s press conference last month condemning the Southern Poverty Law Center leftist “hate” campaign against AFTAH and other pro-family groups.

This is the fifth and final part of our interview with Patrick Wooden [click HERE to listen], pastor of Upper Room Church of God in Christ, in Raleigh, NC. This was pre-recorded and aired Feb. 11, 2012. Wooden criticizes Rev. Al Sharpton for endorsing same-sex “marriage” [Sharpton’s pro-homosexual-“marriage” statement for the “gay” lobby group Human Rights Campaign is played on air]. “Al disagrees with the God of the Bible,” says Wooden. He also chides NAACP President Ben Jealous for speaking at the annual conference of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF)– a leftist organization that supports “polyamory,” sadomasochism, radical transgenderism, and other assorted perversions. Moreover, Wooden says Rev. William Barber, President of NAACP-North Carolina, is wrong for pledging to fight against North Carolina’s pro-traditional-marriage constitutional amendment, to be voted on in May. (Jealous recalls how Barber told him to “make sure that that [NGLTF] crowd knows that we are doing everything we can to stop that silly amendment from becoming law.”)

After AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera notes that President Barack Obama is the most pro-homosexuality president in American history, Wooden says that demonstrates that Obama “is not a Christian,” despite his public profession. In an interesting section toward the end of the interview, Wooden explains why African Americans are perhaps more opposed to homosexual perversion than whites. He also recalls how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. thought of homosexual attraction not as an innocuous, “innate tendency,” but as a culturally-acquired, unnatural problem that can and should be resolved.
