LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Patrick Wooden — Part Four — with DL Foster

February 9th, 2012

DL Foster, founder of Gay Christian Movement Watch (www.gcmwatch.com), speaks at Jan. 17 pro-family press conference protesting the Southern Poverty Law Center, in Montgomery, AL. At center is Pastor Patrick Wooden, and at right is AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera.

WARNING: Graphic descriptions

This is Part Four of our interview with Patrick Wooden [Click HERE to listen], pastor of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. This was pre-recorded and aired February 4, 2012. Wooden and AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera are joined in this discussion by DL Foster, founder of Gay Christian Movement Watch, based in Atlanta. Homosexual activists have sought to make fun of Wooden for describing in these AFTAH interviews) the body-destroying perversions associated with male homosexuality. But LaBarbera, noting that the Homosexual Lobby a “sin movement,” says one would expect it to yield heinous perversions like “fisting,” rimming and “water sports” (“gay” slang for men urinating on and in one another for sexual pleasure).

Foster says that the portrayal of himself, Wooden and other Black leaders who participated in AFTAH’s Jan. 17 press conference [click HERE for audio] outside the Southern Poverty Law Center headquarters as somehow being controlled by “white organizers” “highlights the high level of racist arrogance inside the homosexual movement” — which he said he experienced when he was active as a homosexual. “The white gay movement needs to deal with its own latent racism,” he said.  Wooden said he’s never been called “Nigger” so much (by white “gay” activists) than since his interviews with AFTAH went public.

Foster and LaBarbera talk about the case of Jesse Dirkhising, a 13-year-old Arkansas boy who was raped and grotesquely sodomized in 1999 by two older homosexual men who left him for dead after drugging, gagging and penetrating him with foreign objects including a cucumber.

Jesse Dirkhising

LaBarbera notes how the twisted SM practices that so cruelly killed young Jesse “didn’t come out of nowhere” but were described (non-judgmentally) in pro-homosexual sadomasochistic publications. Foster notes that compared to the celebrated case of Matthew Shepard — a young homosexual man murdered in Wyoming — the Dirkhising case received very little secular media coverage because unlike Shepard, “Jesse Dirkhising didn’t fit the bill” as the type of victim that would advance the pro-homosexual cause.

AFTAH Interview with North Carolina Pastor Patrick Wooden – Part Three

February 1st, 2012

Pastor Patrick Wooden

This is Part Three of AFTAH’s interview with Patrick Wooden, pastor of Upper Room Church of God in Christ, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was pre-recorded January 25 and aired January 28, 2012. Wooden expresses his concern as a Christian for homosexual activist (and fellow North Carolinian) Pam Spaulding, who blasted him as a “bigot” and “rent-a-pastor” after he led a coalition of African American leaders and pastors condemning the Southern Poverty Law Center for labelling Christian pro-family organizations (including Americans For Truth) that oppose homosexualitty as “hate groups.” Go to http://americansfortruth.com/americans-for-truth-hour/ for Parts One and Two and all archived AFTAH interviews.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Dr. Patrick Wooden – Part Two

January 25th, 2012

Pastor Patrick Wooden speaks at last week's press conference highlighting the SPLC's anti-Christian "hate group" politics. The AFTAH banner reads: "SPLC: Stop Lying: Christianity is NOT 'HATE.'" Click on photo to enlarge slightly.

Here is Part Two of AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera’s interview with Dr. Patrick Wooden, pastor at Upper Room Church of God in Christ, in Raleigh, North Carolina [Click HERE to listen, and go HERE for Part One.] This was pre-recorded and aired Jan. 21, 2012. Wooden discusses the pastors’ press conference that he led denouncing the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “hate group” smear-campaign against pro-family groups, including Americans For Truth. Wooden addresses some of the homosexual activist criticisms of Part One of this interview — in which he touched on the destructive effects of practicing sodomitic perversion (which, he said, should not be compared to skin color). LaBarbera references a Wikipedia entry on “fecal incontinence” that cites this 1993 study on the ill effects of anal sex. They talk about the SPLC’s racist-tinged release on the AFTAH protest. And when Wooden brings up the heinous “gay” sex practice of “fisting,” LaBarbera recalls the 2000 Massachusetts “Fistgate” scandal at a conference sponsored by the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network — in which homosexual youth were given verbal “how-to” instructions by adults on “fisting” (hand-arm-rectal “sex”). LaBarbera notes that GLSEN never issued a sincere, strong apology for the incident — and the media double standard that excuses and ignores scandals on the Left.

LISTEN: Audio of AFTAH Press Conference Featuring Black Pastors Denouncing SPLC’s ‘Hate Group’ Smears

January 23rd, 2012

African American leaders bristle at SPLC claim that they are tools of “white organizers”

North Carolina pastor Patrick Wooden criticized the Southern Poverty Law Center for implying that Black leaders cannot think for themselves and had to be "brought" to the SPLC press conference by "white organizers." Here he is interviewed by a Montgomery TV reporter after the AFTAH press conference. In the background is a large SPLC banner decrying "HATE." Click on photo to enlarge.

Here is the audio [click HERE to listen] for AFTAH’s press conference January 17, 2012, outside the headquarters of the Southern Poverty Law Center, in Montgomery, Alabama, featuring a coalition of African American pastors and pro-family leaders challenging the SPLC’s tendentious “hate group” designation against Americans For Truth and other pro-family groups. Total length is 33 minutes.

The following speakers appeared (with beginning times on recording):

NC pastor to lead press conference condemning SPLC’s smear campaign against Christian pro-family organizations as “hate groups”

Dr. Patrick Wooden, Sr., says the Southern Poverty Law Center is losing credibility by smearing pro-family groups opposed to the homosexual activist movement as "hate groups."

This is Part One of my interview [click HERE to listen] with Dr. Patrick Wooden, pastor at Upper Room Church of God in Christ, in Raleigh, NC. This interview was pre-recorded and aired January 14, 2012. Pastor Wooden will be leading a contingent of African American pastors at an AFTAH-sponsored press conference Tuesday, Jan. 17 outside of the headquarters of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, AL. The SPLC infamously labeled Americans For Truth and several other Christian pro-family groups as “hate groups” due to their strong opposition to the homosexual activist lobby. (Other groups smeared by the SPLC include Family Research Council, American Family Association and Scott Lively’s Abiding Truth Ministries.)

Wooden is a leader in the effort to preserve the definition of marriage constitutionally in North Carolina as one man, one woman — and he is regularly tarred as a “bigot” and “homophobe” by homosexual activists in his state. Here he debunks the LGBT analogy of “gay rights” to Black civil rights — affirming that there is no connection between “my beautiful blackness” and deviant sexual behavior condemned by God. (Last year, Wooden interviewed me at his church in Raleigh; go HERE and click link for the video, “Fighting Homosexuality in America.”) — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

LISTEN: Interview with New AFTAH Board Member John McCartney

January 2nd, 2012

New AFTAH Bd. Member John McCartney standing last year outside Lyons Township High School in the Chicago suburbs, where he led a pro-family informational effort providing students with facts about homosexual activism that most had never heard.

This is Part One of Peter LaBarbera’s interview with John McCartney, AFTAH’s newest Board Member [Click HERE to listen]. It was pre-recorded and aired on WYLL AM-1160 in Chicagoland Dec. 31, 2011. McCartney is a retired English teacher who has lived in Chicago for almost 50 years. He discusses the media’s pro-“gay” bias and how one-sided journalism enables pro-homosexual propaganda to go unchallenged. For years, McCartney has sought to break through the media’s and academia’s pro-homosexual information blockade by reaching high school and college students directly with facts and truth about the homosexual lifestyle and LGBT activism. He says the reason so many people buy into homosexualist propaganda (e.g., the “born that way” myth) is that they simply have not been exposed to facts about homosexuality that would give them a more balanced perspective. You can listen to AFTAH’s previous interview last year with McCartney and Wayne Lela HERE.

Hear ‘gay’ activist’s phone-mail death threats against OK City pastor

This is Part Two of my interview with Oklahoma City pastor Paul Blair and Matt Barber, AFTAH Board Chairman and Director of Cultural Affairs at Liberty Counsel. This pre-recorded interview aired Dec. 17, 2011. Blair, a former NFL lineman, and his church, Fairview Baptist Church, were on the receiving end of some phoned-in death threats after he testified against an Oklahoma City “sexual orientation” ordinance. AFTAH Interviews Paul Blair and Matt Barber after Death Threats in OK City – Part One

December 15th, 2011

Pastor Paul Blair of Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond, OK received death threats and vile threats against his wife after Blair testified against a pro-homosexual law in OK City.

Maybe the “T” in the homosexuals’ and transgenders’ LGBT formula also stands for “Terrorize” — because that’s how at least a portion of America’s radical pro-homosexual activists treat their public opponents.  (See story on the recent paver brick attack against AFTAH’s banquet host Christian Liberty Academy HERE.) This interview — Part One of a two-part interview with Paul Blair, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, and Matt Barber, Director of Cultural Affairs at Liberty Counsel — aired Dec. 10, 2011. Blair recently was on the receiving end of some scary death threats and vile hate calls targeting his wife – which were phoned in to his church right after he’d testified against a pro-homosexual “Sexual Orientation” ordinance in Oklahoma City. Here he tells the story which — unlike the pro-“gay” attack in liberal Chicago — rec.eived some major TV news coverage in OK City. (You can listen to a few of the actual recorded threats HERE.) Barber discusses the pattern of homosexual activist aggression that aims to intimidate Christians and others into silence on this critical moral issue. Blair, a former lineman with the Chicago Bears, is also Chairman of Reclaiming America for Christ. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Scott Lively – Part Five

December 15th, 2011

Scott Lively addressing the AFTAH banquet in October. Lively received AFTAH's "Americans Truth Teller" award for 2011.

Part Five of the AFTAH interview [click HERE to listen] with Scott Lively of Defending the Family International.  This was pre-recorded and aired Dec. 3, 2011. Go to the AFTAH Radio Hour Archive for the rest of this very informative interview. In the course of AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera’s interview with Lively, the two discussed:

  • The dire state of the American Christian Church vis-a-vis the aggressive movement to normalize homosexual behavior and gender confusion in the culture;
  • The “terror” tactics and aggressive campaigns used by homosexual activists to intimidate good people into silence on this issue;
  • Lively’s personal experience with the dirty tactics and lies used by radical LGBT activists against pro-family leaders attempting to stop the “gay” revolution (including one notorious fake “anti-gay hate crime” in Oregon). Lively more than almost any pro-family conservative alive today has experienced these tactics firsthand in more than 20 years of working on the front lines (here and abroad) against the homosexualist agenda;
  • The futility of relying on politics and the courts to contain the advance of government-backed homosexuality — and how many “ministry-minded” or apathetic believers are woefully naive about the Culture War raging on this issue;
  • The campaign of lies used by pro-homosexual militants (and repeated by the media) to smear Lively and others as allegedly supporting the murder of homosexuals in Uganda;
  • The corruption of words by the pro-homosexual Left, including “gay,” “sexual orientation” and “marriage equality”;
  • The appearance of PRO-homosexuality “evangelicals” like Grove City College’s Warren Throckmorton and Chicago’s Andrew Marin — who confuse Christians and undermine biblical truth on the issue by capitulating to pro-“gay” ideology and semantics;
  • The connection of homosexuality and sexual deviance to the Nazi Party in Germany. (See Lively’s book, The Pink Swastika);
  • The very real threat to religious liberty posed by the tremendous rise of homosexual (“gay”) power in the United States.

AFTAH Interviews Professor Ken Howell – Part Two

December 3rd, 2011

Prof. Ken Howell

Here is Part Two of our interview with Catholic Prof. Ken Howell, Senior Fellow in the School of Catholic Thought at the John Paul II Newman Center, located at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Howell was fired and then rehired last year by the University of Illinois (Champaign) after a “friend” of a student complained about an e-mail lesson he wrote on Natural Moral Law and homosexuality. A little known fact arising from the controversy is that Howell is no longer emplyed by the University of Illinois after a long stint there (thus, his liberal detractors were rewarded). In this interview, which aired November 12, 2011, Howell goes deeper into explaining Natural Law. You can listen to Part One HERE.

AFTAH Interviews Scott Lively – Part Two

November 3rd, 2011

Threatening note, "Shut Down Lively, is written on large brick thrown through the glass door of Christian Liberty Academy Oct. 15th. Pro-homosexual militants lied about Scott Lively and then demanded that the AFTAH banquet honoring him be shut down.

This is Part Two of my interview with Scott Lively [listen HERE], founder of Defend the Family International and recipient of this year’s AFTAH’s “American Truth Teller” award. This interview was pre-recorded and aired Oct. 22, 2011. Lively, author of “The Pink Swastika” and other books, was the main target of the Oct. 15 terr0r-attack against Christian Liberty Academy, host of the Americans For Truth banquet. We discuss this “homo-fascist” (or “homo-communist”) assault, and the escalation of the “Gay” Lobby’s campaign against religious freedom. AFTAH Interviews Scott Lively – Part One

October 31st, 2011

Homosexual activists smear Lively as one favoring violence against homosexuals

Pro-family veteran Scott Lively, recipient of the AFTAH "American Truth Teller" award for 2011.

This interview with Scott Lively [listen HERE] of Defend the Family International was pre-recorded and aired Oct. 15, 2011 — the night of the Americans For Truth banquet at which Lively was presented with the AFTAH “American Truth Teller” award for 2011. In this interview, Lively and AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera discuss the Gay Liberation Network’s hate-campaign against Lively leading up to the Americans For Truth banquet. That included the promotion of a malicious lie — that Lively somehow condoned the killing of homosexuals in Uganda (and that LaBarbera also condoned such violence by honoring Lively). The pro-family veteran states that far from embracing the death penalty provision in proposed Ugandan legislation dealing with homosexual sex crimes, he in fact counseled against such punishment — in a speaking visit to the African country. Lively gives his Christian testimony and tells how he was delivered from alcoholism and living homeless. He says he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and promised to serve Him wherever God placed him — which turned out to be in one of the toughest cultural battles of our lifetime: direcly confronting the homosexual activist lobby.

AFTAH Interviews Pastor John Kirkwood – Part Two

October 29th, 2011
Pastor John Kirkwood of Grace Gospel Fellowship church in Bensenville, IL.

We are catching up on posting AFTAH Radio Hour interviews. The following is Part Two of my interview with Pastor John Kirkwood [click HERE to listen] of Grace Gospel Fellowship (www.gracebeliever.com) church in Bensenville, Illinois. It aired October 1, 2011. (Listen to Part One HERE.) Kirkwood describes what got him involved in the movement to resist the pro-homosexuality agenda: watching the angry homosexual protests against Mormon churches due to the Mormons’ leading role in fighting Prop 8 (an amendment to preserve traditional, man-woman marriage in California). John, who describes himself as an Acts 17:11 Christian, has a radio show on WYLL-1160 AM Chicago at noon on Sunday, “In the Arena.” He describes how homosexual activists are ripping off Christianity, from stealing the rainbow and turning it into a symbol of “gay pride” — to singing “This Little Light of Mine” — a song taught to young children about believing in Jesus Christ — to celebrate “coming out” (declaring one’s homosexuality publicly). I discuss the boundless perversions of proud homosexuality, citing this San Francisco photo. Kirkwood says that because Christians are so biblically illiterate, in the realm of sexuality (and other areas) the Church is “becoming the world…There is a vacuum in the Church of integrity.” He discusses Romans 1, evolution and homosexuality, and the idea that Bible-believing Christian speech is causing “gay youth” suicides. Kirkwook also addresses one of the common cliches homosexuals use against Christians, such as the common line, “Jesus never said anything about homosexuality.” — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

AFTAH Interviews Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern – Part Two

September 23rd, 2011

Human Rights Campaign targets Kern and OK legislators with calls after initial AFTAH interview

Here is Part 2 of our interview with Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern (R) [click HERE to listen], author of The Stoning of Sally Kern: The Liberal Attack on Christian Conservatism and Why We Must Take a Stand.” This interview was pre-recorded and aired September 1o, 2011. AFTAH is offering Kern’s book for $20, which includes postage. After our first interview with Sally, in which she explains her comments comparing the destructiveness of homosexuality to terrorism, she and her office were once again barraged with homosexual calls. The Human Rights Campaign, the leading homosexual lobby group in the United States, put out a special e-mail alert slamming Kerns. The “gay” pressure group targeted Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin (R) and the Oklahoma senate with their campaign, which falsely accuses Kern of “slandering” homosexuals. LISTEN: AFTAH Interview with Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern – Part One

September 8th, 2011

"The Stoning of Sally Kern: The Liberal Attack on Christian Conservatism -- and Why We Must Take a Stand"

This is the first of a Two-Part interview with Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern (R) [click HERE to listen]. It was pre-recorded August 31 and aired September 3, 2011. Sally Kern is Christian conservative Republican lawmaker in Oklahoma who was deluged with hate-mail and hate-calls after the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund (GLVF) published excerpts from a secretly-recorded 2008 speech she gave in which she said, among other things, that “the homosexual agenda is destroying this nation,” and that it’s a bigger threat to America than terrorism. [Listen to GLVF’s SELECTIVELY EDITED video excerpting Kern’s speech HERE.]

Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern

Sally talks about her new book, “The Stoning of Sally Kern,” [available from AFTAH at the discounted price of $20 including postage; send check specifying “Kern book” to: Americans For Truth, PO Box 5522, Naperville, IL 60567-5522.] She describes the day, March 7, 2008, that changed her life forever — when thousands of hostile homosexual e-mails flooded her inbox. (Angry phone calls jammed her office phone system, and then started coming to her home.) Ironically, homosexual militants who denounced Sally’s alleged “hate” subjected her and her family to the sort of vicious attacks that most Americans could hardly conceive of — including publishing false reports that her son Jesse was a homosexual — and smearing Sally’s husband, Pastor Steve Kern, as a past member of the KKK. Sally discusses the role of her and her family’s Christian faith in sustaining them in the face of the hate-campaign, and AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera praises Kern for not backing down in the face of such evil attacks.
