Media Fails to Report Charlene Cothran’s Transformation

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

In reference to the transformation of former lesbian activist Charlene Cothran

Excerpted from Lesbian Activist Set Free in Christ, by Kelly Boggs, published Mar 15, 2007, by Baptist Press:

…A prominent homosexual activist not only embraces Christianity, but also seeks to evangelize the homosexual community, and not a single mainstream news organization reports it. Many homosexual outlets also have ignored it. What’s wrong with this picture? Nothing, especially if your publication wants to pander to homosexuals by not printing anything that might possibly be damaging to their cause.

Is a Christian Parent Unfit to Raise a Child Whose Other Parent Identifies as a Homosexual?

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

From Is a Christian Parent Unfit to Raise a Child Whose Other Parent Identifies as a Homosexual?, by Chris Stovall, published Mar 14, 2007, by Constitutionally Correct:

This week there is news that former New Jersey Gov. James McGreevey, who resigned from office after publicly announcing he is a “Gay American” who had an extra-marital affair with a male staffer, has amended his divorce lawsuit to seek custody of his 5-year-old daughter. The article gives us an important clue as to what may have prompted McGreevey to seek custody: “[McGreevey’s estranged wife Dina] Matos said last month that the two ‘continue to have profound differences about what our daughter should be exposed to, and until they are resolved, there will be no agreement.'”

Of course, we don’t know the specifics in the McGreevey case. But, this fits the pattern of a growing wave of attacks on parents with Biblical, traditional beliefs on sex and marriage. The Alliance Defense Fund receives a growing number of requests for assistance in this area (see, e.g., this ADF press release). One parent decides to identify as a homosexual, breaks up the marriage, and eventually moves in with a same-sex partner. Eventually, the parent who identifies as homosexual sues for custody, claiming it is not in the child’s best interest to remain in the custody of the non-homosexual parent, because that parent (often a Christian) cannot in good conscience condone or remain silent about the departed parent’s homosexual behavior. Typically, it is alleged that any discussion with the child of the Biblical teaching that homosexual behavior is sinful, or perhaps that God’s design for the family is for a man and a woman to unite to raise their children, violates a nondisparagement clause in the divorce decree meant to prevent one parent from turning the child against the other parent in the wake of a bitter divorce. Since it is not uncommon for these nondisparagement clauses to place a duty on the parents to ensure that third parties do not disparage the other parent in the presence of the child, taking the child to a conservative church that preaches the Biblical message on homosexual behavior can become grounds for losing custody.

Christian family law attorneys must start being vigilant about this issue in divorce litigation and settlement negotiations. Given that the historic Supreme Court cases which recognized the fundamental due process right of parents to raise their children have often involved issues of moral and religious instruction, this custody dispute scenario is yet another area in which it remains to be seen exactly what impact the ascendancy of the homosexual agenda in our modern era will have on the constitutional rights of parents who will not bow the knee.

‘Gay’ Lobby’s ‘CSI’ Strategy: Censor, Smear and Intimidate Moral Critics

Gay activists have adopted a ‘CSI’ tactic of ‘Censoring, Smearing and Intimidating’ moral critics like Gen. Peter Pace and Dr. James Dobson. By trying to silence critics and equating moral beliefs with hate, bigotry and “homophobia,” the homosexual movement is fueling a dangerous cultural clash between religious freedom and “gay rights.”

TAKE ACTION — Please call the White House comment line at (202) 456-1111 and express your support for General Pace, and call your Congressman and Senators at (202)224-3121 to oppose: 1) ending the military’s homosexuality ban; 2) pro-homosexual, pro-transgender “Hate Crimes” legislation; and 3) the “ENDA Our Freedom” bill: the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would make businesses more susceptible to harassing lawsuits by “gay” and “transgender” activists.

Naperville, IL –– Americans For Truth president Peter LaBarbera called on the media to be neutral in the culture war over homosexuality and to cover the “gay” movement’s disturbing “CSI” strategy of Censoring, Smearing, and Intimidating critics who publicly disagree with homosexual behavior.

Gen. Peter Pace, USMC, gave voice to historic Judeo-Christian truth when he said homosexual acts and adultery are immoral, yet instantly he was accused of ‘blind prejudice’ and called a ‘homophobe,’” LaBarbera said.

“The same gay activists who denounce name-calling against homosexuals were quick to demonize Pace –– equating his sincere religious beliefs with hate, prejudice and fear,” he said. “Worse, the homosexual lobby is honing its strategy of trying to silence conservatives like Ann Coulter and Dr. Dobson by lobbying the media to drop them as contributors.”

The media — who despise censorship — should hold gay leaders accountable for trying to silence critics, and more seriously cover the growing clash between religious freedom and gay rights, LaBarbera said.

The following are recent conservative victims of homosexual intolerance:

Gen. Pace: Diversity magazine blasted Pace as a “homophobe.” The homosexual group Human Rights Campaign (HRC) assailed his “blind prejudice.” Does criticizing historically sinful behavior mean that you “fear” homosexuals or make you a bigot?

Ann Coulter: After poking fun at political correctness (AFTAH criticized Coulter for her F-word comment about a Democratic presidential candidate), GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) and HRC sought to deny Coulter’s commentator role on CNBC. GLAAD intoned: “[N]o credible news organization should be associating itself with Coulter.” Should GLAAD, which regularly smears Christian groups like Americans For Truth as “hate” organizations, be denied media time?

Dr. James Dobson: After Dobson criticized homosexual parenting in a Time magazine guest column (“Two Mommies Is One Too Many”), GLAAD and HRC urged homosexuals to write and ask Time to deny Dobson a future platform to spread “misinformation.” Usually groups criticize their foes’ arguments; GLAAD seeks to silence them altogether.

Matt Barber: Now with CWA, in 2005 Barber was fired from his management position at Allstate Corporation after writing an online article against “gay marriage” –– on his own time.

From Concerned Women for America, broadcast Mar 14, 2007:

Forced Confidentiality for ‘Gay’ Indoctrination

Some teachers at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois are forcing 14-year-old freshmen to sign a confidentiality agreement saying they will not tell anyone, not even their parents, what they are taught in a pro-homosexual sensitivity training seminar. Martha Kleder spoke with Lora Sue Hauser, head of North Shore Student Advocacy, a group of concerned area parents, and Matt Barber, CWA’s Policy Director for Cultural Issues.

Bisexual Women at Higher Risk, Says Gay Task Force Bisexuality Report

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

Some nuggets from the latest 132-page report by the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, bisexual health.” You might want to familiarize yourself with these concepts before your kid learns them at school:

Key Terms (pages 2:2 and 2:9)

Bisexuality: the capacity for emotional, romantic and/or physical attraction to more than one sex or gender. That capacity for attraction may or may not manifest itself in terms of sexual interaction.

MSMW: men who have sex with men and women (including transgender people)

WSMW: women who have sex with men and women (including transgender people)

Sex: a person’s sexual anatomy as male, female, both or neither. Transgender people and people with intersex conditions may have sexual anatomy that does not entirely align with the typical definition of male or female

Intersex: refers to a variety of conditions in which a person has or had reproductive or sexual anatomy that does not fit the typical definition of “male” or “female”

Gender: the collection of characteristics culturally associated with being “male,” “female,” both or neither, including a person’s sex or sexual anatomy

Heterosexism: the assumption that heterosexuality is the “norm” and other sexual orientations are deviant. Often, homosexuality is viewed as in opposition to heterosexuality, rendering bisexuality invisible and irrelevant

Biphobia: the fear or hatred of bisexuals

Bi-invisibility: the lack of acknowledgement and ignoring of the clear evidence that bisexuals exist Key Terms

More important for anyone considering lesbian or “bi” sex:

Page 2:108

“Research shows that bisexual women have higher rates of drug use than heterosexual women. Some studies indicate that the rates are similar to those of lesbians and some are slightly higher.”

“In several studies, bisexual women report the highest rates of alcohol use, heavy drinking and alcohol related problems when compared to heterosexual and lesbian women. “

Page 2:109

“Bisexual women report higher risk sexual behavior than heterosexual women — such as having sex with a known MSM [men who have sex with men], sex with an HIV+ man, multiple male sexual partners, sex with IDU [intravenous drug user], sex partner who has had sex with a prostitute, less likely to report condom use with non-steady partner and anal sex. Compared to heterosexual women and lesbians, bisexual women have the highest rates of combining substance/alcohol use and sex.

“13.9 to 14.9% of heterosexual women smoke [whereas] 25.3 to 50% of bisexual [and lesbians] women smoke.

It appears bisexuality is decidedly not a healthy lifestyle choice. As always, God’s plan is better for life here on earth and for eternity.

Newton North High School Hosts “ToBeGLAD” Day, Distributes Pro-“Gay” Pamphlets

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

From our good friends at MassResistance, published Mar 14, 2007:

Suppose your son came home from school one day with a pamphlet — given to him by the school. Suppose it told your son:

Men who call themselves gay are sexually attracted to and fall in love with other men. Their sexual feelings toward men are normal and natural for them. These feelings emerge when they are boys and the feelings continue into adulthood. . . “I don’t remember exactly when I first knew I was gay, but I do remember that the thought of sex with men always excited me.”

“I had to reject a lot of negative heterosexual and religious programming that made me feel lousy about myself as a gay person. I began to like myself by meeting other gay people and going to a gay support group.”

“But it is crucial to be honest with yourself. Just as self-denial costs you, coming out pays off. Most kids who accept their sexuality say they feel calmer, happier and more confident.”

This was given out to students at Newton North High School in December, during an all-day “Transgender Bisexual Gay Lesbian Awareness Day” event (which the school called “ToBeGLAD Day”). By order of the principal, parents were not allowed to attend. The pamphlet also lists places kids can go to meet homosexuals.

How would something like this affect a kid who might be going through a confused and vulnerable time in his life? Well . . . the school isn’t interested in what YOU think. And since the recent ruling in the David Parker lawsuit, it will only get worse!

Here’s the pamphlet: I think I might be gay – now what do I do?

And here’s another one that was given out that day. This slick booklet is from [National Youth Advocacy Coalition, NYAC,] a national homosexual group targeting kids.

And there’s more to show you – this was just the beginning. Check the MassResistance website tomorrow (Thursday).

Are you going to stand for this? Right now, legislators are balking at supporting the Parents Rights Bill!! Are you going to let a bunch of cowardly Massachusetts legislators just look the other way, claiming they have “more important” things to attend to, and they “aren’t ready” to co-sponsor the new Parents Rights Bill (see below)? Well, if you feel strongly about this, don’t let them off the hook.

MAKE THEM support this. For example, email the above “pamphlet” to them, then call them up and make them answer for it! See our Take Action page and find a link to your representative’s webpage and contact info (including e-mail) by scrolling to the grid (item #5).

After Church on Sunday: A San Fran Spanking Party…

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

While you were eating lunch after Sunday worship, Folsom Street Fair (part of San Francisco’s sadistic “leather” subculture) was hosting a “Spanking Party” (at 1 pm on Mar 11, 2007) — just a regular event. The site is far too vulgar for us to link, as are all things Folsom. (Every year, Folsom sponsors two sadomasochism-celebrating “street fairs” in San Francisco — complete with open displays of whipping, bondage, etc. — which are blocked off by the city. Yes, truth is stranger than fiction.)

You may be interested to learn that this filthy organization receives corporate sponsorship from:

Given the beer and liquor industry’s huge support of organized homosexuality, maybe this is a good time to become a tee-totaler, if you aren’t already…. — Peter LaBarbera

Do You Agree with Senator John Warner or with the Apostle Paul?

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

In response to General Peter Pace’s remarks

“I respectfully but strongly disagree with the
chairman’s view that homosexuality is immoral.”

john-warner.jpg

— Virginia Senator John Warner, Senate Armed Services Committee,
as quoted in Top U.S. General Seeks to Calm Gay Sex Row,
published Mar 13, 2007, by Reuters

If John Warner is right, then the Apostle Paul was wrong when he wrote to the church at Corinth and said:

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. (I Corinthians 6:9-10)

Whom do you believe?
