Redefining Hate

Tech Totalitarians: Facebook Puts Peter LaBarbera in 30-day ‘Jail’ for 2016 Post Critical of Radical Transgender ‘Top’ Surgery

Sunday, November 25th, 2018

See update below…

No Criticism of Trans-Insanity Allowed: Facebook cited the above 2016 post as the reason for banishing the private account of AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera for 30 days. The post advertises the 2016 AFTAH banquet presentation by pro-family Christian advocate Linda Harvey. The picture is from the Twitter feed of Alex Matheny, a beautiful young woman who had her healthy breasts surgically removed two years ago in her tragic quest to identify as a man. Just days ago, Facebook “unpublished” Americans For Truth’s FB page, citing similar “hate” violations.

UPDATE, 11-26-18: Today I received this notification from Facebook that my “appeal” had been rejected, so my 30-day “jail” sentence remains. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH:

Dear AFTAH Readers,

Well, what do you know? Just a few days after Americans For Truth’s Facebook page was “unpublished” due to ridiculous alleged “hate” violations [See articles in LifeSiteNews, WND and AFTAH], my private Facebook page (Peter LaBarbera) was just put on 30-day “Facebook jail” notice for the attached post advertising Linda Harvey speaking at the AFTAH banquet–way back in October 2016!

That means for 30 days from Saturday, Nov. 24, I will be unable to post on Facebook or communicate using Facebook’s Messenger service. I clicked the “appeal” button, but don’t count on the nameless, corporate bureaucrats and “social justice warriors” at this social media giant to admit that they made a mistake.

Take a look at my allegedly “hateful” FB post above. So now it’s OK for a severely gender-confused young woman (in this case, Alex Matheny) to have her healthy breasts surgically removed (essentially a medically unnecessary double-mastectomy), but it’s “hate” for us to criticize it and warn parents and youth that this is destructive and wrong? How absurd. Pro-LGBTQueer “Progressives” hate truth.

Facebook Deletes AFTAH’s Facebook Page, Citing ‘Hate Speech’ Violation

Tuesday, November 20th, 2018

Social media giant cites “safety” concerns and being “respectful,” but by not respecting and tolerating Christian conservatives’ views, is Facebook guilty of ‘hate’ and bigotry?

Facebook ‘hates’ conservatives (or at least their ideas): This is the notice AFTAH received Sunday from Facebook. Jason Salamone is an administrator of the AFTAH FB page. We are appealing the decision. Facebook has “unpublished” AFTAH’s or Americans For Truth President Peter LaBarbera’s pages on previous occasions.

Folks, leftist social media censorship is accelerating, because “power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely” (Lord Acton). On Sunday, [Nov. 18, 2018,] Facebook took down–“unpublished”–AFTAH’s (Americans for Truth About Homosexuality) Facebook page, saying we violated their “hate” standard. We are appealing the decision but unlike Twitter, Facebook does not even let the groups they banish make a case for why the ban is wrong and should be reversed. This ban is beyond Orwellian: Facebook provides no specific examples of *how* our AFTAH posts violated their alleged “hate” standard, but you can see what sort of posts “triggered” these progressive-techie snowflakes HERE, or below.

I tweeted this:

From Twitter: [Sunday] the cowardly yet proficient anti-conservatives at Facebook took down (“unpublished”) our AFTAH (Americans For Truth) FB page, citing violations of their spurious “hate” standards. We are appealing. Look for a piece on this in WND…

Of course, the “hate” charge is spurious and ultimately effectively precludes all MORAL opponents of homosexuality from using Facebook. AFTAH, a Christian educational organization, has from its inception condemned real hatred and violence against homosexuals (or anyone). We have long denounced groups like Westboro Baptist Church with its preposterous “God Hates Fags” message. Please help us spread the word on this cowardly social media censorship of ideas that run counter to “progressive” sacred cows. Thanks. — Peter LaBarbera, Americans For Truth; Twitter: @PeterLaBarbera

A Cartoon about Judging and Transgenderism – Was Creator, ‘Heteros Inspiring Pride,’ Censored by Facebook?

Wednesday, September 21st, 2016

Site vilified by pro-LGBT activists — for using memes to highlight leftist intolerance — disappears from Facebook

By Peter LaBarbera [@PeterLaBarbera]

Folks, here is a good and accurate cartoon meme by a site called “Heterosexuals (Heteros) Inspiring Pride” — which apparently has been kicked off of Facebook (see second graphic below). The creator(s) of this site are despised by the Left for making some cool memes like this one (click on graphics to enlarge):

heterosexuals_inspiring_pride_meme_judging_transenders

Here is what comes up when you go to the “HeterosInspiringPride” Facebook link at the bottom of the meme:

facebook_censors_heteros_inspiring_pride_9-21-2016

We’ll try to get to the bottom of this–but I suspect it is just another case of “snowflake” leftists–in this case, biased Facebook geeks–not being able to tolerate criticism and a lively debate over ideas. How naive of Heterosexuals Inspiring Pride to put a Facebook site identifier on all their compelling graphics!

What are LGBT activists and allies afraid of?

Who Is the Out-of-Touch Bigot on Transsexuals in Public Bathrooms? Dr. Ben Carson or Chad Griffin of Human Rights Campaign?

Friday, November 6th, 2015

AFTAH Media Release

November 6, 2015; contact: Peter LaBarbera: 312-324-3787; americansfortruth@gmail.com

Who Is the Out of Touch Bigot on Transsexuals in Public Bathrooms: Ben Carson or the Human Rights Campaign President Chad Griffin?

WASHINGTON — Americans For Truth President Peter LaBarbera today accused Chad Griffin, president of the high-powered homosexual lobby group Human Rights Campaign, of “reverse bigotry” after Griffin smeared GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson for allegedly acting like a “segregationist.” Griffin made the absurd and ugly charge after Carson said that cross-dressing men and women should have their own “transgender restrooms” rather than make people uncomfortable by using bathrooms not designated for their biological sex. [AFTAH release continues after video clip below]:

Asked by journalist-activist Jorge Ramos, “Should transgender men and women use any public bathroom they choose,” Dr. Ben Carson calmly responded, “How about we have a transgender bathroom?”

Carson continued: “It is not fair for them [cross-dressing “transgenders”] to make everyone else uncomfortable. It’s one of the things I don’t particularly like about the [LGBT] movement. I think everybody has equal rights, but I’m not sure anybody should have extra rights—extra rights when it comes to redefining everything for everybody else, and imposing your view on everybody else, when the way this country was designed was live and let live.”

HRC’s Griffin blasted Carson in a press release:

“Ben Carson’s hateful comments are out of touch and all candidates should immediately make clear that they disavow his dangerously transphobic views,” he fumed. “Ben Carson can’t go a week without invoking reckless and irresponsible stereotypes about the LGBT community, and his suggestion that transgender people be required to use segregated bathrooms echoes an ugly past our country should never revisit.”

LaBarbera responded:

“Shame on Chad Griffin for invoking racist Jim Crow laws against an African American man to justify the insanity of allowing gender-confused men to use female restrooms. The bottom line here is that a rich, powerful white homosexual activist in Washington, D.C., Chad Griffin, is a accusing a thoughtful black man, Dr. Ben Carson—who rose from humble roots to become a prominent neurosurgeon and a role model for youth everywhere—of being the moral equivalent of a Jim Crow racist. Why? Simply because Carson believes that girls and women should not be forced by ‘transgender rights’ laws to suffer the indignity of having their private spaces invaded by sexually confused men in dresses who think they’re women.”

On Tuesday, Houston voters overwhelmingly rejected—by a 61-39 margin—the city’s proposed LGBT “HERO” ordinance, which would have banned so-called “gender-identity nondiscrimination,” thus allowing gender-confused men and boys to use female-designated restrooms, and vice versa. Pro-family advocates who won the landslide “No” vote campaigned heavily on the dangers to women and girls of letting men into private female restrooms.

Said LaBarbera: “I ask you: who is truly out of touch here regarding men in female restrooms? Dr. Ben Carson with his common sense yet regrettably necessary solution–or Chad Griffin—the powerful lobbyist for a pro-Democrat Washington homosexual organization? Ask any woman: I think most would side with Carson.”

LaBarbera added that the danger of the proposed federal LGBT “Equality Act” (HR 3185)—which he dubbed the “Homosexual-Transgender Superiority Act” and the “Criminalizing Christianity Act”—is that it would put federal government power behind the brand of “reverse bigotry” espoused by Griffin.

“It’s bad enough that decent people are being accused by vicious homosexual zealots of ‘hate and bigotry’ simply because they uphold historic Judeo-Christian norms for sex and marriage and defend their First Amendment freedoms,” he said. “But imagine the mom-and-pop owners of a family business facing federal ‘civil rights’ prosecution merely because they won’t allow a big-boned, sex-confused guy wearing pumps and a skirt to enter the female restroom in their establishment? Are we really going to force women to have their private spaces violated in the name of LGBT ‘Equality’?! Are Chad Griffin and HRC anti-women?”

Brown: Human Rights Campaign’s ‘Export of Hate’ Report Incites Fear and Hate

Saturday, September 20th, 2014

Homosexual lobby’s report features dark graphic caricature of AFTAH’s LaBarbera

HUMAN SMEAR CAMPAIGN: Who is that shadowy figure? An ISIS terrorist? A drug kingpin? No, it's AFTAH's Peter LaBarbera, as pictured in the Human Rights Campaign's latest report, "Exporting Hate."

HUMAN SMEAR CAMPAIGN: Who is that shadowy figure? A mafia don? An ISIS terrorist? A drug kingpin? No, it’s AFTAH’s Peter LaBarbera, as caricatured by the homosexual lobby group Human Rights Campaign in their new report, “The Export of Hate.” See pages 9-10 of the report for the section on LaBarbera and AFTAH.

Special Note to AFTAH Readers from Peter LaBarbera:

Folks, the notion of what constitutes “hate” has become highly politicized. We will have more on the Human Rights Campaign’s deceitful and comically over-the-top report, “The Export of Hate,” which prominently features yours truly–complete with an ominous-looking, blackened graphic of my face designed to cast me as a shadowy figure–in upcoming posts. [Graphic of AFTAH’s Peter LaBarbera shown at right; see pages 9-10 for the section on me.]

Take a look at that photo–yes, that’s me, according to the malicious activists at HRC, who apparently must exaggerate and contort their opposition to fit it into their jaundiced redefinition of “hate.” Anyone who knows me wouldn’t recognize me from that graphic–and while I’m a lot of things, a sinister hatemonger isn’t one of them. I am generally an upbeat, affable guy. I love God and I love people, and I want them to come to the knowledge of my Savior, Jesus Christ, so they can find forgiveness and draw close to God.

Please note that in the post-Floyd Corkins world (Corkins was thwarted in a potentially murderous attack on Family Research Council), the ongoing effort to paint pro-family advocates like me as horrible haters on a par with the KKK could incite a violent and even deadly attack against us by a homosexual zealot.

For the record, I enthusiastically stand behind my quotation–on the Alan Colmes Show Jan. 7 of this year–provided by the report as evidence of my supposed “hate.” Colmes had pressed me on whether children were better off in single-parent households or homosexual-led households, to which I responded (this is the excerpt taken from the HRC report):

“Kids would ‘be better off in a single-parent household…because you’re not modeling homosexual behavior. When you have two men raising a young child, that child grows up learning, basically, dysfunction and a sexual perversion as normality.'”

If criticizing intentionally motherless and intentionally fatherless homosexual-led households is hateful, then surely most of the world is hateful! The LGBT Lobby’s campaign to portray the fervent defense of historic, Judeo-Christian teachings on sex and marriage as Hate, Bigotry & Homophobia–Big Gay Inc’s top three slanders against people of faith and morals–is itself profoundly hateful and bigoted. But we should expect such calculated smears from a Sin Movement that is essentially engaged in a political and cultural war against Nature and Nature’s God. Casting aside the lies and slanders, we will not be deterred in our defense of Truth. God bless. — Peter LaBarbera, AFTAH

Here’s our friend and upcoming banquet speaker Michael Brown’s excellent piece on the HRC report:

The pictures are dark and ominous, the charges chilling: “There exists a network of extremists … [who] spew venomous rhetoric, outrageous theories, and discredited science.”

Just who are these evil people, and what are they doing?

According to the Human Rights Campaign, the world’s largest gay-activist organization, this “network” consists of American, conservative Christian leaders “who are working tirelessly to undercut LGBT people around the world at every turn.”
