LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews North Carolina’s Patrick Wooden on Passage of North Carolina Marriage Amendment, Part One

May 23rd, 2012

Says Obama has come full circle by returning to early support of homosexual “marriage”

Patrick Wooden spoke across the state of North Carolina in support of the Marriage Amendment, which passed by 61-39 on May 8, 2012.

This is the first of a two-part interview with Raleigh pastor Patrick Wooden on the landslide passage of the North Carolina Marriage Amendment May 8, 2012 [click HERE to listen]. This interview was recorded May 10, 2012, and aired on WYLL-Chicago (AM 1160) May 12th. Joining the interview with AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera is John Kirkwood, pastor of Grace Gospel Fellowship in Bensenville, Illinois. (Beginning in June, AFTAH’s weekly radio broadcast will be transitioning to a weekly podcast, hosted by LaBarbera and Kirkwood; all programs will be archived on the Americans  For Truth website, where most listeners have heard the show.)

Wooden, pastor of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ Church in Raleigh, discusses how homosexual activists sought to confuse North Carolina voters on the Marriage Amendment, which passed by a 61-39 percent margin. He said many citizens had not even read the Marriage Amendment language, which in its simplicity would expose the “outright lies” of the opposition in exaggerating its effect of the amendement in the state. He also discusses President Barack Obama’s capitulation on the homosexual “marriage” issue–which he says is contradictory to Obama’s professed Christian faith. For previous AFTAH interviews with Wooden, do a search on his name in the search box in the upper right corner fo the website.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Amy Contrada (Part Four) and Brian Camenker on Bullying, GOP Shift on Homosexuality

May 22nd, 2012

This is the last of a four-part interview [click HERE to listen] with Massachusetts family advocate Amy Contrada, author of “Mitt Romney’s Deception: His Stealth Promotion of ‘Gay Rights’ and ‘Gay Marriage’ in Massachusetts.” Amy is joined by Brian Camenker, founder of Mass Resistance, the leading organization confronting the homosexual-bisexual-transgender agenda in the Bay State. This interview was pre-recorded in WYLL’s studios in Chicago April 4, 2012 and aired on WYLL April 21st. Contrada and Camenker discuss the growth of the “gay youth” agenda in Boston and the use of “anti-bullying” legislation to stifle free speech in schools. They also discusses how wealthy Republicans led by Paul Singer (a major backer of Mitt Romney) funded the pro-homosexual “marriage” effort in New York.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Barb Anderson and Laurie Higgins – Part Two – and More Awful Homosexual Hate

April 25th, 2012
HOMOSEXUAL HATE: New York City homosexual activist Scott Rose created this nasty, infantile graphic demonizing Parents Action League President Laurie Thompson. The text underneath the graphic — showing feces coming out of her forehead – is Rose’s, and typical of the rest of the tirade on his blog, “AntiGayBigotryScaresMe.” Click on graphic to enlarge.

WARNING: Offensive Language

This is Part Two of my interview [click HERE to listen] with Barb Anderson of Parents Action League and Laurie Higgins of Illinois Family Institute. This discussion was pre-taped in early April and aired April 21, 2012. Note that beginning May 1, the new time for hearing the AFTAH Radio Hour live on WYLL-AM-1160 in Chicagoland is every Saturday at midnight (one hour later than the usual time). Anderson describes the incredibly nasty attacks (see graphic at right) on pro-family advocates concerned about the promotion of homosexual behavior in Anoka-Hennepin schools (outside Minneapolis). She and Higgins discuss how the Southern Poverty Law Center has named Parents Action League a “hate group,” and how a “hit-piece” in Rolling Stone magazine promoted the falsehood that a rash a local youth suicides was tied directly to “anti-gay bullying” (an assertion debunked by Anoka-Hennepin school district officials). Anderson discusses how the school district ultimately settled lawsuits brought by the SPLC and the Obama Administration– which she says will accelerate pro-homosexuality propaganda in schools.

Barb Anderson of the Parents Action League.

This is Part One of our interview [click HERE] with Barb Anderson of the Minneapolis-based Parents Action League and Laurie Higgins of Illinois Family Institute. (This pre-recorded interview aired April 14, 2012.) The discussion centers on the upcoming, annual homosexual activist event in schools known as the “Day of Silence” (this Friday, April 20th). Higgins urges a “walkout” of the Day of Silence and guides parents on the proper questions to ask when calling their child’s school. For more information on the Day of Silence Walkout (endorsed by Americans For Truth and other pro-family groups), go HERE. Each child pulled from a school that is encouraging this pro-homosexual event — which disrupts the learning of non-participating students — costs the school money because school funds are allocated based on attendance.

Anderson also discusses the escalating LGBT campaign against the Anoka-Hennepin school district, outside Minneapolis, in which outside forces – including the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center and the Obama Administration — are using the “anti-bullying” rally cry to force an intrusive and one-sided pro-homosexual program into district schools.

AFTAH Interviews Christian Activist Steve Noble on North Carolina Marriage Amendment

April 12th, 2012

North Carolina Christian activist Steve Noble is guardedly optimistic about the upcoming May 8 vote in his state on the Marriage Amendment. He tells how he got active in pro-family advocacy in his book, "The Making of a Christian Wacko."

After a brief hiatus, Americans For Truth Radio is back featuring in-depth interviews with front-line, pro-family activists. This interview [click HERE to listen] by AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera is with Steve Noble, a Christian activist and talk show host in Raleigh, North Carolina. This was pre-taped and aired on WYLL-Chicago (1160 AM) April 7, 2012. Noble hosts a daily talk show, “Called2Action,” on 1030 AM Truth Radio in Raleigh (4:00 PM Eastern). Steve discusses the upcoming May 8 vote in North Carolina for the Marriage Amendment — which if passed would codify in the state’s constitution the preservation of marriage as one-man, one-woman. He notes how North Carolina’s homosexual activists are not affirming theirright to “marry,” but rather throwing up disinformation against the Amendment.

On April 2, Noble interviewed LaBarbera on his program on the same subject [go HERE to the archive page and download the April 2nd podcast: "A 'Gay Marriage' North Carolina?"]. Noble is also the author of, “The Making of a Christian Wacko,” about his path to becoming a Christian pro-family activist. You can order the book HERE.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Massachusetts Author Amy Contrada – Part Two

March 20th, 2012
Author Amy Contrada has documented Mitt Romney’s pro-”gay” record in Massachusetts. Gov. Romney was called “the missing governor” due to his inaction against the Massachusetts high court’s imposition of homosexual “marriage” on the state.

This is Part Two of my interview with Amy Contrada [click HERE to listen], author of “Mitt Romney’s Deception: His Stealth Promotion of ‘Gay Rights’ and ‘Gay Marriage’ in Massachusetts.” It was pre-recorded and aired March 10, 2012. [Listen to Part One HERE.] Contrada is a blogger and researcher for Mass Resistance, the leading organization standing against the homosexual-bisexual-transgender agenda in Massachusetts. Contrada discusses then-Gov. Mitt Romney’s tepid response to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s Goodridge decision imposing homosexal “marriage” on the state. She notes in 2010 she learned that Gov. Romney’s one-time senior legal advisor, Dan Winslow, was later supported in his run for political office by Massachusetts’ homosexual lobby (see this revealiing “gay” post) — precisely because he had backed the Goodridge decision as an aide to Romney. Contrada said Winslow helped craft the newfangled “Party A/Party B” “marriage” licenses, which Romney issued to the great consternation of pro-family advocates at the time.

This Part One of of a multiple-part interview with Amy Contrada [click HERE to listen] writer with the pro-family group Mass Resistance and author of “Mitt Romney’s Deception: His Stealth Promotion of ‘Gay Rights’ and ‘Gay Marriage’ in Massachusetts.” This interview was pre-recorded on Feb. 23rd and aired on WYLL-Chicago March 3, 2012. AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera and Contrada discuss how Massachusetts and especially Boston became “Ground Zero” in the liberal push to normalize homosexual and gender-confused identities to youth. They also describe then-Gov. Mitt Romney’s support for a taxpayer-funded governor’s “gay youth” commission — which sponsored an annual “gay youth pride” parade and celebration that included radical adult homosexual and transgender activists (e.g., a cross-dressing man who heads the Boston Alliance for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth (BAGLY). Contrada has also authored two smaller e-books on Romney and his record, available at www.amycontrada.com.

AFTAH Interviews Pro-Family Warrior Jim Finnegan – Part One

February 21st, 2012

Pro-life/pro-family advocate Jim Finnegan has fought long and hard in Illinois for "Choose Life" specialty license plates, which would raise funds for adoption. Democratic politicians, influenced by pro-abortion lobbyists, have stalled the plates for years.

This is Part One of AFTAH’s interview [listen HERE] with Jim Finnegan, a longtime pro-life and pro-family Catholic advocate in the Chicago area who is active with Defend Marriage Illinois. Finnegan is also leading the campaign for “Choose Life” specialty license plates in Illinois – thwarted for years by liberal Democrats. This interview was pre-recorded and aired February 18, 2012. Finnegan and AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera discuss the radical group Gay Liberation Network’s ongoing attacks on Cardinal Francis George, due to George’s and the Catholic Church’s opposition to homosexual “marriage” and homosexual acts.

LaBarbera describes the GLN’s hateful protest Feb. 12, 2012, directly in front of Chicago’s Holy Name Cathedral, with signs mocking George as “Archbigot.” He also notes GLN’s refusal to condemn a pro-homosexual brick attack against a Christian school hosting AFTAH’s October 2011 banquet — and says that if he had refused to condemn such an assault on a homosexual group he would legitimately be called a “hater.” (See AFTAH report on GLN’s record of hate HERE.) Both men discuss a newly introduced “same-sex marriage” bill [more info HERE] introduced by three openly homosexual Illinois legislators — and how House Speaker Mike Madigan (himself a “Catholic”) has blocked pro-family bills in Springfield while allowing pro-homosexual bills to be considered.

AFTAH Interview with Pastor Patrick Wooden – Part Five – Discusses NAACP, Al Sharpton and Obama Backing ‘Gay’ Agenda

February 13th, 2012

Slams Al Sharpton for endorsing “gay marriage,” says Obama’s promotion of homosexualist agenda shows he “is not a Christian”

North Carolina pastor Patrick Wooden is interviewed by a local TV reporter in Montgomery, Alabama, following AFTAH’s press conference last month condemning the Southern Poverty Law Center leftist “hate” campaign against AFTAH and other pro-family groups.

This is the fifth and final part of our interview with Patrick Wooden [click HERE to listen], pastor of Upper Room Church of God in Christ, in Raleigh, NC. This was pre-recorded and aired Feb. 11, 2012. Wooden criticizes Rev. Al Sharpton for endorsing same-sex “marriage” [Sharpton's pro-homosexual-"marriage" statement for the "gay" lobby group Human Rights Campaign is played on air]. “Al disagrees with the God of the Bible,” says Wooden. He also chides NAACP President Ben Jealous for speaking at the annual conference of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF)– a leftist organization that supports “polyamory,” sadomasochism, radical transgenderism, and other assorted perversions. Moreover, Wooden says Rev. William Barber, President of NAACP-North Carolina, is wrong for pledging to fight against North Carolina’s pro-traditional-marriage constitutional amendment, to be voted on in May. (Jealous recalls how Barber told him to ”make sure that that [NGLTF] crowd knows that we are doing everything we can to stop that silly amendment from becoming law.”)

After AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera notes that President Barack Obama is the most pro-homosexuality president in American history, Wooden says that demonstrates that Obama “is not a Christian,” despite his public profession. In an interesting section toward the end of the interview, Wooden explains why African Americans are perhaps more opposed to homosexual perversion than whites. He also recalls how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. thought of homosexual attraction not as an innocuous, ”innate tendency,” but as a culturally-acquired, unnatural problem that can and should be resolved.

LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Patrick Wooden — Part Four — with DL Foster

February 9th, 2012

DL Foster, founder of Gay Christian Movement Watch (www.gcmwatch.com), speaks at Jan. 17 pro-family press conference protesting the Southern Poverty Law Center, in Montgomery, AL. At center is Pastor Patrick Wooden, and at right is AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera.

WARNING: Graphic descriptions

This is Part Four of our interview with Patrick Wooden [Click HERE to listen], pastor of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. This was pre-recorded and aired February 4, 2012. Wooden and AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera are joined in this discussion by DL Foster, founder of Gay Christian Movement Watch, based in Atlanta. Homosexual activists have sought to make fun of Wooden for describing in these AFTAH interviews) the body-destroying perversions associated with male homosexuality. But LaBarbera, noting that the Homosexual Lobby a “sin movement,” says one would expect it to yield heinous perversions like “fisting,” rimming and “water sports” (“gay” slang for men urinating on and in one another for sexual pleasure).

Foster says that the portrayal of himself, Wooden and other Black leaders who participated in AFTAH’s Jan. 17 press conference [click HERE for audio] outside the Southern Poverty Law Center headquarters as somehow being controlled by “white organizers” “highlights the high level of racist arrogance inside the homosexual movement” – which he said he experienced when he was active as a homosexual. “The white gay movement needs to deal with its own latent racism,” he said.  Wooden said he’s never been called “Nigger” so much (by white “gay” activists) than since his interviews with AFTAH went public.

Foster and LaBarbera talk about the case of Jesse Dirkhising, a 13-year-old Arkansas boy who was raped and grotesquely sodomized in 1999 by two older homosexual men who left him for dead after drugging, gagging and penetrating him with foreign objects including a cucumber.

Jesse Dirkhising

LaBarbera notes how the twisted SM practices that so cruelly killed young Jesse “didn’t come out of nowhere” but were described (non-judgmentally) in pro-homosexual sadomasochistic publications. Foster notes that compared to the celebrated case of Matthew Shepard – a young homosexual man murdered in Wyoming — the Dirkhising case received very little secular media coverage because unlike Shepard, “Jesse Dirkhising didn’t fit the bill” as the type of victim that would advance the pro-homosexual cause.

AFTAH Interview with North Carolina Pastor Patrick Wooden – Part Three

February 1st, 2012

Pastor Patrick Wooden

This is Part Three of AFTAH’s interview with Patrick Wooden, pastor of Upper Room Church of God in Christ, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was pre-recorded January 25 and aired January 28, 2012. Wooden expresses his concern as a Christian for homosexual activist (and fellow North Carolinian) Pam Spaulding, who blasted him as a “bigot” and “rent-a-pastor” after he led a coalition of African American leaders and pastors condemning the Southern Poverty Law Center for labelling Christian pro-family organizations (including Americans For Truth) that oppose homosexualitty as “hate groups.” Go to http://americansfortruth.com/americans-for-truth-hour/ for Parts One and Two and all archived AFTAH interviews.

Wooden discusses the pastors’ press conference that he led denouncing the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “hate group” smear-campaign against pro-family groups, including Americans For Truth. Wooden addresses some of the homosexual activist criticisms of Part One of this interview – in which he touched on the destructive effects of practicing sodomitic perversion (which, he said, should not be compared to skin color). LaBarbera references a Wikipedia entry on “fecal incontinence” that cites this 1993 study on the ill effects of anal sex. They talk about the SPLC’s racist-tinged release on the AFTAH protest. And when Wooden brings up the heinous “gay” sex practice of “fisting,” LaBarbera recalls the 2000 Massachusetts “Fistgate” scandal at a conference sponsored by the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network – in which homosexual youth were given verbal “how-to” instructions by adults on “fisting” (hand-arm-rectal “sex”). LaBarbera notes that GLSEN never issued a sincere, strong apology for the incident — and the media double standard that excuses and ignores scandals on the Left.

African American leaders bristle at SPLC claim that they are tools of “white organizers”

North Carolina pastor Patrick Wooden criticized the Southern Poverty Law Center for implying that Black leaders cannot think for themselves and had to be "brought" to the SPLC press conference by "white organizers." LISTEN: AFTAH Interviews Dr. Patrick Wooden – Part One

NC pastor to lead press conference condemning SPLC’s smear campaign against Christian pro-family organizations as “hate groups”

Dr. Patrick Wooden, Sr., says the Southern Poverty Law Center is losing credibility by smearing pro-family groups opposed to the homosexual activist movement as "hate groups."

This is Part One of my interview [click HERE to listen] with Dr. Patrick Wooden, pastor at Upper Room Church of God in Christ, in Raleigh, NC. This interview was pre-recorded and aired January 14, 2012. Pastor Wooden will be leading a contingent of African American pastors at an AFTAH-sponsored press conference Tuesday, Jan. 17 outside of the headquarters of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, AL. The SPLC infamously labeled Americans For Truth and several other Christian pro-family groups as “hate groups” due to their strong opposition to the homosexual activist lobby. (Other groups smeared by the SPLC include Family Research Council, American Family Association and Scott Lively’s Abiding Truth Ministries.)

Wooden is a leader in the effort to preserve the definition of marriage constitutionally in North Carolina as one man, one woman — and he is regularly tarred as a “bigot” and “homophobe” by homosexual activists in his state. Here he debunks the LGBT analogy of “gay rights” to Black civil rights — affirming that there is no connection between “my beautiful blackness” and deviant sexual behavior condemned by God. (Last year, Wooden interviewed me at his church in Raleigh; go HERE and click link for the video, “Fighting Homosexuality in America.”) – Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org

This is Part One of Peter LaBarbera’s interview with John McCartney, AFTAH’s newest Board Member [Click HERE to listen]. It was pre-recorded and aired on WYLL AM-1160 in Chicagoland Dec. 31, 2011. McCartney is a retired English teacher who has lived in Chicago for almost 50 years. He discusses the media’s pro-”gay” bias and how one-sided journalism enables pro-homosexual propaganda to go unchallenged. For years, McCartney has sought to break through the media’s and academia’s pro-homosexual information blockade by reaching high school and college students directly with facts and truth about the homosexual lifestyle and LGBT activism. He says the reason so many people buy into homosexualist propaganda (e.g., the “born that way” myth) is that they simply have not been exposed to facts about homosexuality that would give them a more balanced perspective. You can listen to AFTAH’s previous interview last year with McCartney and Wayne Lela HERE.

This is Part Two of my interview with Oklahoma City pastor Paul Blair and Matt Barber, AFTAH Board Chairman and Director of Cultural Affairs at Liberty Counsel. This pre-recorded interview aired Dec. 17, 2011. Blair, a former NFL lineman, and his church, Fairview Baptist Church, were on the receiving end of some phoned-in death threats after he testified against an Oklahoma City “sexual orientation” ordinance. You can hear of a few of the death threats in this interview. (To listen to Part One of the interview, go  HERE.)

AFTAH Interviews Paul Blair and Matt Barber after Death Threats in OK City – Part One

December 15th, 2011

Pastor Paul Blair of Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond, OK received death threats and vile threats against his wife after Blair testified against a pro-homosexual law in OK City.

Maybe the “T” in the homosexuals’ and transgenders’ LGBT formula also stands for “Terrorize” — because that’s how at least a portion of America’s radical pro-homosexual activists treat their public opponents.  (See story on the recent paver brick attack against AFTAH’s banquet host Christian Liberty Academy HERE.) This interview – Part One of a two-part interview with Paul Blair, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, and Matt Barber, Director of Cultural Affairs at Liberty Counsel – aired Dec. 10, 2011. Blair recently was on the receiving end of some scary death threats and vile hate calls targeting his wife – which were phoned in to his church right after he’d testified against a pro-homosexual “Sexual Orientation” ordinance in Oklahoma City. Here he tells the story which — unlike the pro-”gay” attack in liberal Chicago — rec.eived some major TV news coverage in OK City. (You can listen to a few of the actual recorded threats HERE.) Barber discusses the pattern of homosexual activist aggression that aims to intimidate Christians and others into silence on this critical moral issue. Blair, a former lineman with the Chicago Bears, is also Chairman of Reclaiming America for Christ. — Peter LaBarbera, www.aftah.org
